Issue with macro

I have a macro that updates a key figure . The macro checks certain conditions and if the result is true sets the value of the key figure to 1 and changes the key figure value to 0 if the conditions return a value of false.
I executed the macro in a job . But it did does not update the value of the key figure. When i look at the job spool the warning message says " Not all data in the live cache could be updated"
Cannot figure out why this is happening. Experts please suggest a solution

Hi Visu ,
It is not an auxillary key figure. We do have auxillary key figures in the same planning area , that we use just to provide more details to the SNP planners. This is an APO key figure. We back up the data to BW cubes on a daily basis.
I shall try doing the consistency check. But iam not sure if the problem is with the key figure. I encounter this problem only for around 13 products. For other products the macro is setting / resetting the value of key figure properly .

Word templates with Macros

Dear all,
I have a couple of Word templates (in document libraries) that should have the filename and page count on the footer of the front page. It seams there is an issue with Word that these do not automatically update (MS kb 832897).
I am using word 2010, 64 bits.
This is solved with a Macro.
When placing the word with macro template in SharePoint, SP blocks it and the macros are not ran.
Any one with experience on this?

It is not possible to run a macro in SharePoint after the document has been uploaded.
You can replicate this scenario by creating a SPItemEventReceiver which will run customized code on ItemAdded in your document library.

Excel spreadsheets with macro's

Excel spreadsheets with macro's created in Windows does not work on my Macbook (excel for mac 2011), even if I enable macro's. I do not create these spreadsheets myself. Cn anyone assist please? Thank you for your time.

As far as I known, the macro/Active X control can be used well with both of the Office 2013 and Office 365.

I have received your mail and
attachment. Then, I tested it, I found the probably reason.
You were using ActiveX controls in the sample file, and them displayed 4 tabs in Format control dialog box. Next, you created a new Form control, it displayed 7 tabs.
You were using the two type of controls. ActiveX controls and Form controls
are different.
Form controls
Form controls are the original controls that are compatible with earlier versions of Excel, starting with Excel version 5.0. Form controls are also designed for use on XLM macro sheets.
ActiveX controls
ActiveX controls can be used on worksheet forms, with or without the use of VBA code, and on VBA UserForms. In general, use ActiveX controls when you need more flexible design requirements than those provided by Form controls. ActiveX controls have extensive
properties that you can use to customize their appearance, behavior, fonts, and other characteristics.

Issue with Region field in BW report

Hi experts,
I am facing an issue with BW Report ,the data for REGION for some billing doc no are showing as # and its description is not assigned.Also there is no data for region in its data target as well and also no data in VBRK table for those billing doc no in R3 side.
Can you please suggest some solution.

If there is no data for charecteristic values,. # and not assigned will be dispalyed in the report.
Its BW funcnality,.
If you would like to remove the # values in BEX you have to go for a Macro,.
If in WAD you have to eliminate the first values in the repactive web item.

Issue with refresh of an input schedule

Hi Experts,
We are facing an issue with the refresh of an input schedule.
We have a custom refresh via macro whereby we first refresh 3 reports in other tabs and then refresh the main schedule.
The problem is for a particular test id we need to click on refresh twice but for developer id we refresh it only once and see the value.
Can you help what could be the cause of it.
In the main report we have all dimensions in either row or column axis and we are also using Dimension override for 3 dimensions.

Issues with mp4 in Acrobat X...

Hi guys,
I'm trying to play a .mp4 video that has been imbedded into a pdf. There are other videos embedded as well, and they seem to work fine; it's only the mp4 that doesn't want to work. I've tried updating codecs (the file is H.264 codec), I've tried reinstalling Adobe flash, tried playing with the legacy settings (though this isn't trying to open in another program, so I don't think it's actually applicable....)

and the video I'm having issues with is on page 22. I've tried running it in a webpage, and downloading it to my PC to try. As mentioned, the other videos do work = /.

The videos on page 22 work OK for me (Acrobat X and XI). It's not legacy media so the settings in Preferences are irrelevant.
What version of Acrobat/Reader are you using, and exactly what are you seeing (or not)? The RMA on page 22 has two videos attached, which is permitted in the PDF standard but not directly supported by Acrobat's authoring tools; so I doubt engineering ever tested that configuration.

Issues with airport and windows XP

just installed XP on my mac (cant believe i just typed that!) and running airport extreme and expresses (no WEP) and can connect on the macbook running OSX (10.4.6) no problem. boot into XP (pro) and i get a connection, strong signal, all that jazz, but when i launch explorer, no connection. I have tried to ping google.com from the command line, again, nada.
But the signal strength is good on the XP side, and connecting fine when logged in on the OSX side.

Not that we know of, but honesty forces me to say that we haven't tested it ourselfs yet, since we still use Windows/2000.
On the other hand, from my experience issues with CDM always were more dependent on the version of the browser
or Word you are using and less of Windows versions. It would not surprise me if using the Word templates with
Word from Office XP would know some issues. Those would than be caused by changed behaviour in the way Word
deals with macro's.
What the rest of the iDevelopment Accellerator Suite concerns, this can be easily found out by checking the
compatability of Designer and Developer against Windows XP.

Compatibility problem with macro media flash active control

I am getting a message on my screen "compatibility problem with macro media flash active control, it isnt compatible with my version of windows (vista). How can this be fixed? why am I suddenly getting it now? I have the latest Adobe flash player installed.

the latest flash is probably the problem... it's seems that the latest flash has been causing a boat load of issues. i did a system restore to undo the flash and mozilla upgrades and it's still crashing but not as bad as it was with the upgrades.

Quality Issues with Compressor 2.0.1

Has anyone had any contact with Apple engineers about the problems folks are having with macro-blocking artifacts with Compressor since 2.x appeared?
Is Apple aware of this serious step-back in reliability and quality?
We too are experiencing this and it is very troublesome. Really takes the fun out of doing this type of work.
I would like hear from those who have never had the problem or who had the problem and resolved without reverting to older versions.
I think the one common factor among those experiencing the problem is that we are all working in DV25 (NTSC or PAL).

The problem is somewhat random and can be hard to reproduce or detect. However, since it usually (always?) occurs in sequences that contain at least some difficult to compress material it's possible that very clean video sources will suffer less from this defect (since they won't be "wasting" bits to encode noise or image shortcomings that were already present in the original source).
Some users have complained about poor fades to black, but probably the worst example I've seen was a slow cross-fade between two clips that both contained a fair amount of motion. In the latter case, Compressor 1.2.1 handled the transition much better even when using the same bit rate and quality settings. However, when Compressor 2 fails the image degenerates into some fairly large, very low detail compression blocks for maybe one or two frames. Then it recovers, everything will look fine until you see another random occurrence of the problem. You may only see two bad frames out of several hundred, but when you see it you know immediately that something is wrong.
I doubt that this is a configuration problem or something that is hardware specific since I've been able to duplicate the exact same failure on two systems that had absolutely nothing in common as far as installation or software setup. The only commonality was the source video clip (which looks fine) and Compressor 2. However, this same clip looks fine when encoded with Compressor 1.2.1.
Note, also, that I'm using only Compressor 2 presets on Compressor 2, this is not the problem caused by using "old" presets imported from Compressor 1.X.
Anyway, I've already sent Apple a bug report, so there is little that I can do at this point other than to hope for a fix from Apple. That and restricting myself to one-pass encodings (as discussed in my earlier post).

If you compile and run the above code (or similar code), you would expect it to report that the given argument is a symbolic link when indeed the argument is a symbolic link; though, instead of the expected happening, the following happens as shown below:

Is anyone else experiencing this? My filesystem is ext4. The same error happens when using the S_ISLNK() macro.

Issue with Contract Import

Hello Folks,
I am facing an issue with Contract Import. The contract import file has been struck in Contract Document importer and from past 4 days the status is showing as Running. Even in trace file, it is showing as "Mon Mar 16 18:05:51 CET 2015 Error during action"
Is there any way where the import can be stopped or deleted?

Thanks John and Peter for your support. Unfortunately I cannot provide a screenshot of the issue since of the confidential material and has to re-do the work. I have re-done all the excel correction and re-created the Indesign merge document on a PC laptop. So far 'no' problems. I have a strong suspicion that the cause has been a macro used in excel to convert text or another one that I used to add values to the colum that InDesign found issue. Definetly InDesign should have reported a problem before merging the data. Yes, I am using CS5.5 with the latest update and Excel 2010 on a Mac. Still, I would like to find out what means the letter 'A' in the Data Merge Panel, since this may have directed me to find why the multiple 'AAA...' shown in the first line in the merge panel. Again thanks John and Peter: much appreciated.

Issues with CDM and Windows XP?

Mouse/Keyboard issues with Mountain Lion

Has anyone had issues with mouse and keyboard functionality with Mountain Lion? I have two iMacs and a Mac Book Pro, but this iMac is the only one I'm having trouble with. First, ML somehow prompted Razer Nostromo drivers to stop functioning(just for macros). I just figured I had to wait until an update was released(which btw hasn't happened yet ) However, I also use the Razer Naga and I don't believe that the Naga is the culprit, but I could be wrong. For the past week or so when I single click, it registers as as a double-click. It is SO annoying. Has anyone experienced this? I have gone over all mouse and accessibility settings and nothing helps. I have downloaded the updated drivers and nothing works.

I didn't think of doing that, but I tried it and the problem does not occur when the right mouse button is primary. However, when I switched it back to make the left button primary, the problem returned. Would this indicate that it is a hardware problem or could it implicate the drivers as well? I suppose the mouse would make sense since I do not use this mouse on my other two items with Mac OS X. What do you think?

Issues with Creative Cloud for teams deployment workflow

The Adobe Creative Cloud for teams IT Deployment Guide lists out steps for IT admins to deploy the CS6 applications and then have their end-users license the trial software with their Adobe IDs once they have been invited to the team. There are two major issues with this document.
First, the media that is on the FTP is not for North American English. We are working to get that posted on the FTP site ASAP. In the meantime, you can find the CS6 MC media from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
[Note: Getting media from that page requires the use of the Adobe Download Assistant which is very consumer focused. Sorry about that.]
Second, in order to have the ability to login properly with a Creative Cloud for Teams account the system needs to have the latest copy of Adobe Application Manager installed. If you do not do this step the end user will be prompted for a serial number.
Unfortunately the Adobe Application Manager can’t be packaged with AAMEE nor is it a native installer. I know, I know! Here are the links to the Adobe Application Manager installers:
