Issue with message in receiver determination

hello,
I have sent a IDOC message in PI and has reached in PI and can see it with IDX5.The message fails though with error no reciver found.
When I am in Receiver determination I do a test in the overview and seem there is no error seen.
So I am not sure where the error is coming from.

1.If you created the Business System in the SLD, check whether it is having the Logical Name and it should be the in ID Business System --> Adapter Specific Identifiers.
If it matches with that value, then activate and do the full cache refresh by using the url
http://host:port/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
2. Make some dummy changes to your existing receiver Determination --> Save --> Activate --> Check if cache updated properly.
The above error normally occurs in case:
      1) Incorrect receiver name is maintained in RD
      2) Cache is not updated.....this is the most common reason
      3) Condition (if any in Receiver Determination) is not satisfied.

Issue with Message Type Triggering during Inbound Delivery Creation

Currently we are facing issue with message type triggering during inbound delivery creation:
In NACE transaction for Inbound delivery we have 3 custom output types:
Pricing Procedure Used is standard one -> E10001
Z140 Inbound Delivery Create (This should get triggered when IB delivery is created)
Z141 Inbound Delivery Change (This should get triggered when IB Delivery is changed)
Z142 Inbound Delivery Delete(This should get triggered when IB Delivery is deleted).
At present if i check delivery in VL33 -> Extras -> Delivery Output
Both Z140 and Z141 are being triggered during IB delivery creation. While it should be only Z140.
Could you please suggest that are we missing any configuration in SPRO or we need to create any custom routine (requirement) to handle this?

There is no fine-tuned control for inbound delivery messages as for Purchase order. Hence I guess to meet your above requirement, you have to go for a custom solution similar to the PO fine tune control settings.

Issues with Messaging Manager in ATG 10

Hi,
We are facing an issue with messaging manager. In weblogic we have configured datasource as 'coreDataSource', somehow MessagingManager is looking for coreDataSource_shop and throwing error that Datasource is not available?
How to resolve this? I am using ATG 10.3 and Weblogic 10.3.5.

still the issue is exist.
At one point of time, Database is not able to provide connection for coreDataSource. After that shop is trying to get connection from JNDI coreDataSource_shop, which is not available in weblogic.

Issues with itunes error -50, determining gapless playback, missing speaker options, home sharing not working

In the last few weeks I have been experiencing multiple issues with my iTunes.
I believe it began when my itunes library corrupted and I had to start again.
By starting again I mean I went to previous itunes libraries and used the most recent backup.
After I noticed a large number of unknown error (-50) messages I thought I better copy the backup I was using from the previous libraries folder over to the itunes folder (in case the error related to failed attempts to back up the library).
This problem in itself wasn't too bad as I am able to close and relaunch iTunes and carry on however I have noticed some less desirable side effects - the loss of home sharing. I am unable to pick speakers to broadcast to (I have 2 airport express units plugged in and working and an Apple TV2) and I am unable to access the iTunes library on Apple TV.
I've done some basic troubleshooting: creating rules to allow the home sharing ports, temporarily disabling antivirus/firewall, uninstalling antivirus/firewall, setting up rules on the router for homesharing ports, uninstalling iTunes, rebooting, reinstalling iTunes and retrying, disabling home sharing and reenabling, disabling peerblock, deauthorising itunes and reauthorising and rebooting both the pc and Apple TV, checking sharing settings under preferences and verifying both the entire library is shared and that the status of home sharing is on but no devices connected, created a new library and reimporting my media and the problem still exists.
I noticed that occasionally when I switch between libraries, deauthorise and reauthorise I do get access to home sharing and Apple Tv gets full access to the library BUT iTunes quickly becomes unresponsive and when I close and relaunch Apple TV can no longer see my library or iTunes.
I have checked the network I am running on is marked as a home network, I have tried connecting the Apple TV via LAN instead of WiFi but this makes no difference. What I do find interesting is that I have iTunes running on another pc and on a virtual machine and as soon as I run either their libraries appear on Apple TV so there must be something about the installation on my pc and nothing wrong with the Apple TV, airport express, router etc.
With that in mind I retried an uninstall and this time deleted as many tmp files as I could see in the iTunes library folder, rebooted and reinstalled. I also checked the permission levels on the iTunes application folder and the iTunes library folder (located on an additional internal drive), I then tried running iTunes as an administrator (which my user account is already set as) but all the problems are still evident.
The determining gapless playback has no effect on how I use iTunes but it clearly does not need to run for every single recently added track any time I make a minute change to other library entries. I tried looking up one of the files it was determining gapless playback for but it wasn't corrupt or read only so I don't see why it needs to retry continually.
I'm running Windows 7 64bit with all latest updates installed and iTunes 64bit 10.6.3.25, all apple devices are running the latest version of firmware and I'm running out of ideas. I did try running CCleaner to clear up and registry issues if there were any and I ran Appcleaner to remove any iTunes cache that may have been left between installs. I'm running out of ideas - what am I missing here?

I have found the problem was in part caused by Windows firewall.
Exactly how Windows firewall can cause the problem when I wasn't even using it I don't know.
What I do know is that when I checked 'allow a program through the firewall' I found 4 rules set for iTunes, one of which was public network access.
I deleted the superfluous rules and the Home Sharing problems are solved.
All that needs sorting now is the 'determining gapless playback'.

Drop messages in Receiver Determination?

Hello,
we are using SAP XI 3.0 and have a simple File-to-IDoc-Scenario.
Now, the files coming from a new supplier (specific ID) should be dropped on the XI.
I've tried a solution at the Receiver Determination with XPath condition, but I would need to configure a dummy receiver, right?
The option "If No Receiver is Found,... End Message Procesing Without Error" is not suitable for us, too.
Does anyone know an easy way to simply drop messages with a specific condition?

Hi Grallert,
You can create a module and then check the supplier and put this module in sender file communication channel before the file adapter is converted. Then if it not that supplier then it gives to file adapter else dont process the file. Then it will not process, but your file still will be there in the location. So copy it to a different location.
Once if you read the file and if it is in xi then you may not do anythign except if no receiver found end message processing without errors or dummy reciever, which you dont want.

Content distribution issue with message "Found package properties updated notification for package '00000123'"

I've got strange issue with 1 of my primary sites that started just recently. I've updated the content of 1 package and this now needs re-distribution to all DPs. I've got 3 primary sites and on 2 of those the update succeeded and my DP's got
updated correctly. One primary site it does not work and checking distrmgr.log I can see following message every xx minutes
Found package properties updated notification for package '000008B7' SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER 6/21/2014 12:00:31 AM 5836 (0x16CC) ==>
Checking Pkgxfermgr.log does not show anything either, I've tried with 2nd application but again the same result it only shows the the notification message.
I saw similar issue yesterday but with restart of the sms_exec service it eventually distributed the content, obviously this is not something I like to do too often.
does anyone have idea what this could be, suggestions are welcome. Thx.

Jason, I've checked the flow from the CAS down to the primary below is quick overview. The package I'm testing is just small package that we use to check replication is working in our environment it's less then 1MB in size and we run it
1/week basically update content and then check monitoring-content distribution that it has been received on our 260 DP's around the globe
CAS (Located in the US EST Time zone)
Distrmgr.log 11:25am update package and needs to be send to 3x primary sites (A00; B00; C00)
sender.log 11:30am all 3 primary sites have received the content.
C00 (Primary site in Singapore having the issue)
distrmgr.log 11:27pm received notification of the package
despool.log 11:32pm packaged content extracted successfully
distrmg.log started to see message Found notification for package '000008B7' and followed by next message
Package '000008B7' (priority 2) is already in queue.
This goes one until 1:21am (Singapore time)

When I check monitoring - content distribution I can see the package being updated/distributed to 80% of my DP's and last 20% are the dp connected below this Primary site.
To add to the confusion, there was another package distributed around the same time, and then one actually made it to the remote DP's.
This is first time I see this issue.

HT3529 Issue with messaging and icloud after ios7.1 update. Need Help!!!

My husband and I have been having problems with our iphone 5c since the ios7.1 update. We can't seem to send messages to each other now without incurring data charges, because our icloud messaging seems to have both phones synced to my itunes account. I have tried logging into itunes under each of our user id and syncing our respective phones to them, but it is not working. Any Ideas on what to do to fix this?
When we updated last week on Friday, we had other problems with loss of ringtones, no calls coming through do to the do not disturb feature being fully enabled and no alert to incoming calls while phone is locked. Spent a good hour on the phone with support and didn't resolve, tried resetting, rebooting etc. We ended up in an apple store on Saturday, where the guy got the ringtones, etc. working, but disabled our messaging and when tryng to sign back in, we found both phones linked to my itunes account. Since then, having problems with messaging... At a loss as to what to do now.

Thanks. We did do all of that, and still kept having problems. I finally figured it out about 5 minutes after I posted. After signing each phone into respective itunes accounts and setting up all of the messaging features to sign into the same, I had to disable the "send as sms" feature inside messaging. Once I was able to force routing text messages addressed to his phone back through imessage from turning this off, my phone finally recognized his imessage seperate account and let the message go through properly. After a couple of tests, then I enabled the "send as sms" again, and it seems to be working fine.
This update has really been a pain, caused us several issues this go around.

Issues with Messages in iOS 8

Been having some pretty serious issues with the Messages app.
Freezing/crashing. Messages sent from desktop not appearing on phone. Etc. Tried to close app and soft reset phone. Still no luck.

I have spent the better part of a whole day trying to resolve. Have attempted several 3rd party tools to read the messages from the device, as well as iTunes backup. Additionally, I don't see any historical backups in iTunes besides a current post v8 upgrade instance. I found an offline backup from May of 2014 and see content, but no tool has surfaced anything between May 2014 and v8.02 upgrade.

Since Nov 11 we have very big issues with our emails received via exchange server. Part of them are empty

Since Nov 11 all Iphone and Ipad of our company have very big issues with email synchronization. We all synchronized with Exchange server.
In the past nobaody had issue.
Some of our users have IOS 6 and others IOS 5
Messages arrived empty and it is impossible to download them.
Nobody is able to answer ????
I have the same issue with my personnal Ipad synchronized with exchange also.

This resolution have to attend at the server not with the ios device. My employer's mail administrator reject me to correct it from the server. As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

Issues with Messages: Unable to Send or Receive on MacBook Air

My girlfriend recently purchased a 11.6-inch MacBook Air (1.4GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5) and is running OS X 10.10.1. Messages will not send or receive any messages (including SMS and MSM through the iOS/OS integration).
She has tried all of the steps before mentioned (from logging out of iMessage to reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling OS X). Nothing has worked.
Any suggestions?

Sorry about the delay (Christmas Party)
In that case check the following:- (follow each of these for with a Restart of the app)
That the System Preferences > Date and Time are set including the Automatic Time Server an Time Zone setting.
That the System Preferences > Network > Advanced Button >DNS tab lists at least two servers that are not the same IP as the "router IP" shown in the TCP/IP tab. Use Public ones if required http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/a/free-public-dns-servers.htm
If the Messages App > Preferences > Accounts shows the Apple ID that is in use, the "Receive At" options and any "Start Conversations From" drop down and that the iMessages account is Enabled then click the Details Button (she will be required to sign in here)
Check the Country Code is correct for her location. (it lists the country or region which add a Country Code to the listed iPhone Numbers in the Contacts app unless they already exists like out of country ones already would).
In the Contacts App check the My Card (Card Menu) is the correct details.
In Applications/Utilities open the Keychain Access app.
With Login set top left and Passwords lower left find the item ids: message-protection-public-data-registered and delete it.

Issue with Xi File Receiver "Content Conversion" fixed length and kanji

I need to create a fixed length file for a customer that has kanji (SJIS) characters in it. The issue is when the length of the value is less than the fixed length. It is padding out with spaces, but it is putting 2 bytes per space instead of one (But it seems to have counted the padding in characters...).

When you put space here and if it is not showing correctly just to interpret you can use S which will stand for space.

Odd issue with message tracking. (User's emails show as SUBMIT and not SEND. No Byte Size) Exchange 2010

I had been tasked with tracking down a user's emails.
I ran a script in powershell to export data I could work with.
For some reason this particular user's emails in this time range do not show up as the EVENTID "SEND".
They also do not have a Byte Count nor a list of recipients.
They only seem to show up as "SUBMIT"
Apparently this user has been sending out emails with a large amount of BCCs.
Is there any way to actually see this activity? Why would it be showing up as SUBMIT and not SEND? Why won't it show any recipients or byte count?
Here is my example script.

I’d like to double confirm the question: This issue occurred only on one specific user in a particular time range.
In other time, the message tracking shows correctly information for this user.
I suggest we check the application log during that time range and see whether there are any related event IDs about this user.

Issues with Message

Yesterday I did an upgrade from ML to Mavericks. Mostly it seems to have gone OK.
I do notice a few minor glithces in Messages.
After the install finished, I was able to get into Messages using my normal AIM account without issue. I also set up Messages to use my iCloud account. Today when I logged into the Mac, I was unable to get my AIM account to connect. I fooled around with it and eventually it connected OK. Here are my issues:
1. All of the buddy icons on the conversations in my Messages windows are gone, replaced by generic head shot.
2. For one person, I IM'd yesterday, I now have two contact listsing in Messages. I assume that one is for the AIM account and one is for the iCloud account. A little disconcerting, but understandable.
3. It seems that all of my conversations are gone. Not cirtical, but I do occasinally refer back to them and I no longer find the AIM conversation stream available.

Re 3 first.
You should be able to double click the Archived Chat.
This is likely to add it to the List on the left of the Main Window but also display it as a separate Chat in it's own window.
Re 2.
As I said the two items in the View menu used to effect the Buddy List(s) or the Chat windows completely separately.
In View Menu > Messages the changing to Handle also changes the Buddy List Display to Handles rather than the Setting in the Buddies that says Full Names (as pulled from the Address Cards/Contacts app).
The View Menu Buddies can only be changed when a Buddy list is "Front"
If you have a Buddy List as the Front window and use View Menu > Buddies to use Short Name then the Chat window will lose all form of Names and only display the Buddy pic.
Re 1.
What you see from your Contacts in iMessages will depend on whether they are using the Pic from their Address Card and if that is syncing to the iPhones Contacts list.
It works like this:-
When you set up the Mac the first Account is the Admin account and you are asked to select a Login Pic.
(the various balls, lightening bolt, sand garden and so on).
As you proceed you are asked from an Email address and other info about yourself such as your Name and Address.
This creates the My Card in the Contacts app (formerly the Address Book).
The default is to pull the Login Pic to be the pic.
If at this point you create a Buddy list of any sort such as Enabling the Bonjour account then this then takes the same pic.
You have an AIM account and it is this Account that is primarily changed by the Messages Menu > Change my Picture.
It will change the pic for other Buddy Lists.
If a Buddy List is on Display then it will also be the Pic for the iMessages account from the Mac.
If you don't have a Buddy list or do not Enable the Bonjour one then the iMessages account tends not to send a Pic with your iMessages.
If your Buddies have changed their AIM pic but that is different to their Address Card then your will see two different pics.
Even more so if they use iCloud to sync the Contacts app on the Mac and the iPhone as this will give the iPhone the Address Card Pic.
As seen from your end (but using my pic)
When you actually chat from your Mac to the iPhone the Sync process does duplicate the messages sent.
I send from my Apple ID On the Mac.
But specifically sending to the iPhone Numbe r and then repying from that number will show both pics
In it's default state the AIM Buddy list will override the Address Card of your Buddy and will display what they are currently using.
So as I happen to be a Buddy using my Main AIM name in other Buddy lists I can highlight and CMD + i (Get Info) and see the Info card
The hidden email may or may not be their Apple ID (in my case it is.)
The phone numbers may be Land Lines or iPhone or other Mobile/Cell numbers.
The Check box allows you to override what the Buddy is sending.
iMessages will tend to pull this Pic (See pic above) but AIM will show what is being sent over AIM.
So you may see two pics even in the same chat like the pic above fro the same person depending if they are a Contact (iMessages) or a Buddy (AIM or other) at the time the text involved is sent.
Also, I looked at the path you gave and I do see a pictures folder, but there's nothing in there except a .plist file.
This certainly used to be the place.
I must admit to not checking the new Containers layout to see if there was a new place.
I just checked the Cache file again and all the pics are refreshed with today's date
The exceptions are pics I have used as alternatives when testing
The .plist in there was also updated.
I am not sure why your AIM Buddy pics are not ending up there (although it could be to do with the Buddy list not actually being on show).

Issue with Messages App and disk usage

Hi there,
Has everyone ever experienced this weird bug?
Everytime I launch Messages App, my available disk space goes down almost by 15 Gb, making my hard drive instantly full, and my computer unusable.
The only solution I found is to force quit Messages App, and never use it again
I have a MacBook Retina, that I bought a month ago.
It's been working super fine since I got it, apart from that stupid bug that appeared two days ago.

Shut down the computer.
Restart it holding down Apple/CMD ( or ⌘)+ALT( ⌥)+P+R Keys until you have heard three Start Up Bongs.
DO you have notion of how many Conversations Messages may be trying to show in the left hand column of the Message window ?
(Saves Messages and the iMessages database are already held on the computer so I don't really see this as the issue)
