Issue with oracle11g weblogic server(10.3.6) silent installation

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to install WL server through silent mode.
The silent.xml that i am using is as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!-- Silent installer option -mode=silent -silent_xml="/u01/app/wlogic/sil/silent.xml" -->
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<bea-installer>
<input-fields>
<data-value name="BEAHOME" value="/u01/app/wlogic/sil" />
<data-value name="WLS_INSTALL_DIR" value="/u01/app/wlogic/sil/wlserver_10.3" />
<data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS"
value="WebLogic Server/Core Application Server|WebLogic Server
/Administration Console|WebLogic Server/Configuration Wizard and Upgrade
Framework|WebLogic Server/Web 2.0 HTTP Pub-Sub Server|WebLogic Server/WebLogic
JDBC Drivers|WebLogic Server/Third Party JDBC Drivers|WebLogic Server
/WebLogic Server Clients|WebLogic Server/WebLogic Web Server Plugins
|WebLogic Server/UDDI and Xquery Support|WebLogic Server/Server Examples" />
<data-value name="INSTALL_NODE_MANAGER_SERVICE" value="no" />
<data-value name="INSTALL_SHORTCUT_IN_ALL_USERS_FOLDER" value="yes"/>
     <!--
               <data-value name="LOCAL_JVMS" value="/usr/java/jdk1.7.0_07" />
          -->
</input-fields>
</bea-installer>
The installation returns a failure code "null".
I am using the generic installer and have successfully installed through the GUI and console mode.
The OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4(32bit on VWare machine).
I have also tried it on Windows 7.
I am at my wits end and any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance
Jitendra
PS:- i am new here and hence any forum policies that may have been violated by me is un-intentional.

Thanks Fabian for taking out your time for helping me.
This solution is not working completely though.
The log has more information now but still does not make much sense.
Hope it does for you.

    But it doesn't list the server while deploying the application.
    I don't see the issue in my office network. But I encounter this problem when I work at my home.
    Ideally it should show the following lines after server is started:
    DefaultServer startup time: 195467 ms.
    DefaultServer started.
    This is not happening if i run the server without network.
    How can I fix this problem?
    Thanks

    I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
    If not you should turn the proxy off.

    D:\Projekti\Nereids_dmn\base_domain>D:\programi\java\bin\java.exe -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m weblogic.server
    Error: Could not find or load main class weblogic.server
    As you see, I did not put anything in the place of %JAVA OPTIONS% (sincerely, because I don't know what to put there) but after giving the shortcut i just copied the -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m weblogic.Server.
    Can anyone suggest me what is missing here?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ursa.

    Funny, I had this EXACT same problem this morning myself. I did some more digging and while I don't know what step we both missed that properly adds the jar to the environment or whatever, I did find the workaround that'll get you going. You need to invoke the jar in which the weblogic.Server class is found. Assuming you've set up the WLS_HOME environment variable during the install (I followed these instructions myself - http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/12c/weblogic-development-only-installation-on-oracle-linux-5-and-6-12cr1.php) then you can set up your domain by using the following command:
    *$JAVA_HOME/bin/java $JAVA_OPTIONS -jar $WLS_HOME/server/lib/weblogic.jar weblogic.Server*
    You can add whatever memory conditions you want before the -jar flag. That'll start the configuration and allow you to proceed with creating the domain.

    I finally got so frustrated that I uninstall and reinstalled it. I did not import any projects at this time, but created a simple, out-of-the-box domain. Then tried to start the server under that domain, and now I get:

  • Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.1

    I have installed Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 (patch upgraded from 9.1.0.1) on OEL 5.3 64bit and Weblogic 10.3.1
    Database:Oracle 11gR2 (remote machine).
    **I am aware that IM 9.1.0.2 is not certified on Weblogic 10.3.1 (it is only certified on 10.3),
    The installation was successful and OIManager is up and running. Able to create Users, Resources etc. as well.
    As part of configuring OIM Connectors tried to Import .xml file using Import option from Deployment Management section as below and the following error was displayed.
    "Either your session timed out or you are trying to access a page without logging in".
    Did all workarounds like enabling java, changing browsers, restarting machine etc as per the below discussion but in vain.
    Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server
    Can any one suggest any workaround or solution for this problem.
    Or atleast can any one confirm there is no Identity manager available on this date which is compatible with 10.3.1? and cannot be continued further.
    Thanks in Advance

    You are facing this issue because you're using a non certified combination.
    Other folks who tried to use OIM in 10.3.1 ended up in the same problem you're facing.

  • ADF Application Runtime issue in StandAlone Weblogic Server

    Hi All,
    I tried deploying my ADF Mobile Browser Application in a StandAlone Weblogic Server. The application was targeted to Admin Server and everything worked fine.
    But when Targeted to Managed Server the login page alone was rendered (without CSS). Tried loging in with correct as well as wrong passwords but there was no response from the page. (Login button acted like a dummy one)
    Even the managed server log had no error messages.
    DataSource where configured correctly and targeted both to Admin n Managed Server.
    I tried deploying the same in Client's Testing Environment and the same problem occured even in Admin Server.
    I couldnt figure out wats the issue.
    PS:
    Weblogic Server Version : 10.3.6
    ADF Runtime:11.1.1.6
    JDeveloper Version : 11.1.2.1
    The App Contains ADF Authentication Security. Will that cause any issue?
    Two Cents
    Karthick

    Your jdev version and the adf runtime on the wls have to match. Check http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/jdeveloper-versions-vs-weblogic-server-versions/ for a list of matching versions.

  • Inqmy resource adapter for SAP with Bea Weblogic Server

              Hi everybody,
              Anybody have tried to use INQMY resource adapter for SAP with Bea weblogic server
              It works well with INQMY server, but with BEA I'm getting a lot of problems creating
              the connections.
              Thanks in advance.
              Xavi.

    All,
              Here are the steps we (used for internal testing) had to perform to get
              IN-Q-MY adapter for SAP to work with WebLogic:
              The wli.adapter.inqmy.sapr3.spi package contains extensions to the
              In-Q-My J2EE Connector Architecture classes to overcome some limitations
              in the base implementation classes. To get around these issues, we had
              to extend their R3ManagedConnectionFactory, R3ConnectionManager, and
              R3ConnectionFactory classes.
              * The javax.resource.spi.ManagedConnectionFactory implementation
              does not over-ride the equals and hashCode methods correctly. This
              causes problems with WLS 6.1.
              * There is a bug in their javax.resource.spi.ConnectionManager
              implementation for non-managed uses of the adapter. Consequently, their
              adapter cannot be used in a non-managed scenario.
              * The javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory class does not support
              the getConnection() method that does not take any arguments (it throws a
              null pointer exception).
              I am attaching the classes discussed above.
              Cheers,
              Chris

  • Need help on resolving the issue with adobe output server - error MSG256 & MSG 210 not in .ini file

    Hi,
    I am using adobe output designer 5.5 for designing the label template and using the Adobe output server for printing process.
    In the Jfmerge.ini we given the condition "DiscardUnknownFields=Yes" for ignoring the unwanted fields in the .dat file.
    During the process, I faced some issue with the output server in printing the labels.
    When the .dat file is placed in the Data folder of adobe, the label is not getting printed in the printer.
    The file is move to the error folder and an error file is getting generated which contains the error message as given below:
    090826 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [256]** Message Msg256 not in .ini file **
    090826 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [210]** Message Msg210 not in .ini file **
    2009/08/26 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfserver.exe: [314]Agent exit message: [210]** Message Msg210 not in .ini file **
    The output server is a new installtion and I verified the Jfmerge.ini file. It contains the message details of Msg256 and Msg210.
    I also verified the license and it is a valid licence.
    Kindly help me out in solving this issue.
    Thanks
    Senthil

    I assume this is too late to help you, but other might need a hint.  I had the same problem, and found some possible causes that I posted on http://codeznips.blogspot.com/2010/02/adobe-output-server-message-msg210-not.html.
    It is quite likely that you are missing some double quotes around the path specifying the ini file (-aii), if its installed under "Program Files".
    Hope this helps anyone....

    Hello.
    I would ditch the foreign JMS approach. There is a detailed example of how to use the resource adapter for the same goal here:
    WebSphere MQ resource adapter  and Weblogic - how?
    While Oracle supports foreign JMS, IBM won't. The only pattern that both IBM and Oracle support is resource adapter.
    Let me know, if you need more guidance.

  • Installing Oracle SOA Suite with the WebLogic Server

    Hi all,
    I am trying to install Oracle SOA Suite with the WebLogic Server. After following the step-by-step instruction in the "Installing Oracle SOA Suite with the WebLogic Server" document, I ran into the following situation: I have a working WebLogic Server with all applications deployed. However the BPELPM application is in Failed state.
    When I try to run the application, I get following exception (AdminServer.log):

    Hi Boris,
    Looks like you have not run the post upgrade script for 10.1.3.4.
    You need to install SOA 10.1.3.4 Basic Installation. Then start following : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm#BHCIIBFB
    You basically, first install 10.1.3.4 basic SOA install, Apply the Opatch 7337034 (HOTPLUG: SOASUITE 10.1.3.4 ON WEBLOGIC 9.2 - CHANGES FOR HOTPLUGGABILITY). Install WLS 9.2 MP3.
    Now, Download the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 WebLogic Server 9.2 : patch : 7490612.
    Then , Modify the following mandatory installation properties in the Weblogic_SOA10134_Base\SOADomain.properties file as per the documentation above.
    Cheers

  • How to register RMI object with runnign Weblogic Server instance?

    I need to write some RMI objects(non EJB) and register it with the already running weblogic server so that I can access them from a RMI client.
    Can some help me with this?

    So more precisely the way I am doing it is
    I have a remote interface
    package com.myserv.rmi;
    public interface NSPQueryExecutionService extends java.rmi.Remote
    public void getQueryExecutionDelegate();
    I have the Implementation as
    package com.myserv.rmi;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    public class NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl
    implements NSPQueryExecutionService
    public static final void main (String[] arg) {
    try {
    Properties properties = null;
    properties = new Properties();
    properties.put (Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
    Context context = new InitialContext(properties);
    context.bind("QueryExecutionService", new NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl());
    System.out.println("================================> QueryExecutionService Bound");
    } catch (Exception ex){
    ex.printStackTrace();
    System.out.println("Unable to start QueryExecutionService");
    public NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl()
    public void getQueryExecutionDelegate()
    System.out.println("inside remote");
    I compile these classes and I do a weblogic.rmic as
    java weblogic.rmic com.myserv.rmi.NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl
    I run the NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl class to bind the RMIObject with the weblogic server.
    Finally when I try to access this from my client it is able to access the object but when I invoke an operation on it gives the exception that RJVM is already shutdown.

    build and run Sun's PetStore
    1.3.1_02 application with BEA WebLogic Server 8.1.
    5) In the same Command Prompt, compile PetStore using the commands:
    cd c:\bea\user_projects\domains\petstore

    cd c:\petstore1.3.1_02\src
    ant

    could you tell me how ?
    thank you

    What we, BEA, provides is a patch to allow you to compile Pet Store for
    WebLogic Server. It does not contain the source code.
    Sun's Pet Store source code can be found at
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/releases/petstore/petstore1_3_1_02.h
    tml. See the requirements section of README.TXT
    You need both in order to make it work.

    Hi Nick,
    I tried building the petstore1.3.1_02 application following theinstructions in the readme. But I got an error as the buil.xml file is
    missing in the directory.....\petstore1.3.1_02\src.

    P.S: I have checked the zip and the files are missing.

  • Issue with osb + weblogic foreign server AQ configuration

    Hi ,
    I am trying out a scenario wherein, OSB publishes a message onto an Oracle AQ JMS Topic.
    I have created the Foreign Server and have used the Local JNDIs of the connection factory and the destination within my OSB business service. But then, my business service fails to publish the message onto the AQ giving below exception in the server logs:
    "<BEA-169807>There was an error while making the initial connection to the JMS resource named ALSB_JMS_SessionPool_-541341947 from within an EJB or a servlet. The server will attempt the connection again later. The error was oracle.jms.AQjmsException: Error creating the db_connection"
    Below are the configurations that I have used for configuring the foreign server
    Connection Factory - LocalCF | Local JNDI - LocalCF | Remote JNDI - XATopicConnectionFactory
    Destination - ETASNIN | Local JNDI - ETASNIN | Remote JNDI - Topics/ETASNIN
    The Business Service URL: jms://xxxxhost:7011/LocalCF/ETASNIN
    **P.S:** I have tried out the same scenario of interfacing OSB with AQ JMS on a Windows box it works fine... But the above is the case on a UNIX box. Also, I am using PS3 of OSB with 10.3.4 of weblogic server.
    Any Suggestions on this would really help and is much appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Manoj Nair

    Hi Manoj,
