Issue with OWA (404 error)
Issue with OWA (404 error)
From the server itself i can use IPv6 https://[fe80::feef:ff56:c498:1f0]/owa - this opens the mailbox.
https://127.0.0.1/owa - this opens the mailbox
https://localhost/owa - this results in 404 - File or directory not found
using https://servername/owa - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
using https://192.168.10.10 - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
is this an issue with IIS bindings?
thanks in advance
Hi,
I think you can check the authentication settings in IIS for exchange virtual directories.
Thanks,
James

Since I updated Firefox, it seems my internet connectivity in that browser has dropped. I can Google things (not in the URL box, but in the Google box) perfectly, with the exception that sometimes the link clicked from Google doesn't load. However, I cannot actually visit an individual site by entering the URL. If I directly enter the URL, it comes up with a 404 error, site not found. If I try to navigate to some pages from a Google, it comes up with a connectivity problem page. I would really like to be able to use my Firefox again. In the meantime, I'll have to use Google Chrome.
Try clearing Firefox's cookies and cache
Do these steps and then reload the website you're having trouble with.
* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] , choose History and select Clear Recent History....
* In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything.
* Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared.
* Select both Cookies and Cache.
* Click Clear Now.
Moreover, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions:[[Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox]]

Hi,
I have make a new and clean install of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials on my office network server and then i made a new and clean install of Windows 8.1 Enterprise version on one of my office desktops.
After all VPN and Anywhere Access where setup on the server i when to a PC that is inside my office network and browse on Internet Explorer to the URL to connect this PC to the server and make it part of the domain.
But when i browse to the http://MYSERVERNAME/connect im not getting the Windows Server page with the option to download the windows connector. Instead i get a login pop-up saying "iexplore" and "digest". I try to create a user on the server
and use that user login details on this login box, but even then, the only thing i get is a blank page saying a HTTP Error 404.
So can someone please help me on this? Any advice on how to solve this problem in order to show the normal Windows Server connect page?
ThanksHi,
Based on your description, please refer to following operations and troubleshoot this issue. Then check if
can help us to narrow down the cause of this issue.
Please type
http://server-IP-address/connect in IE. Then check if encounter the same issue.
On the Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, please open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Navigate to Sites, then right click Default Web Site and select
Edit Bindings… In Site Bindings, select Port 80 and click “Edit…” button. Would you please provide a screenshot of the Edit Site Binding (Port 80) that you can see?
Then please click
Connect which in the list of Default Web Site. In the mid panel, select
.NET Authorization Rules and double click it. Then please check if all users were allowed.
By the way, would you please provide a screenshot of the login page when you browser
http://servername/connect? It may help me to understand this issue clearly.
Meanwhile, please logon a problematic client computer and navigate to the path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows
Server\Logs folder. Then check if there is Computerconnector log file. If there is, please check it if can find some clues. (Please note: the log file is a hidden file. Please open Control Panel, select Folder Options, select View tab and check Show hidden
files, folders and drives. Then you will be able to find the log file.)
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
Hope this helps.

Issues with installation and Error codes afterwards ...
So this morning getting on my computer I was going to watch youtube videos, and it popped up saying that my adobe flash player was out of date.
Fine and all, I went to update, and when the .exe finished downloading I launched it, and the Adobe Flash Player installer popped up, and its was blank, didnt do anything.
I did some searching around and found that a way around it is downloading the offline installer, which a member of this board posted links to very often. But everytime I tried following these links it was giving me a 404, so I did some searching around, ended up a the download center Adobe Flash Player - Downloads and downloaded this one : Download the Windows Flash Player 15 Plugin content debugger (for Netscape-compatible browsers) (EXE, 16.84 MB)
It installed just fine, my videos and .swf files loaded again.
But now I've run into another issue, when I load a youtube video up, I get a couple error codes, here they are
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.
Now, I've googled these errors, and looked at the help section on this site, and both of these have nothing to do with the issue I'm having, they seemingly pop up for no reason, when I hit dismiss all or continue the video plays just fine. But I would really rather not have to deal with this popping up every single time I go to watch a video.
I dont know if it has something to do with plugins I'm using or the browser, I'll do some more tests meantime but I'll list what Im running below :
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Using the Opera Web browser
The only extension that I believe could be causing an issue, is Youtube Center, but the only thing that really changes is the way the video loads, I'll try disabling it and seeing if that changes it but I'm confident thats not the issue here.
If someone could help me out with this I would really appreciate it.useduser wrote:

You get this because you installed the debug player. Uninstall it, and install the standard players from

Installation Issue with Dreamweaver. (Error 1935, Exit code 7)
Hey there,
So I've been googling my little heart away for 8 hours now and I haven't found any results.
I'm installing on a x64 Win 7 system. From my googling I found out that the relevant part of the installation log is:

I have been running Photoshop 8 for years. Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 just so I could get Lightroom. I am paying the 9.99/mth for Lightroom and photoshop. I downloaded and am already using Lightroom. When I try to open photshop it will open, but when I go to file to try and select a photo, it errors out and says looking for solution and to close program. Totally frustrated
Holy cow. Victoria, if I could reach through the internet and give you a cupcake I would! That worked!
It's amazing -- I sat on chat with customer support for 3 hours, and they weren't able to come up with the solution. He had me creating new accounts, wiping out various directories, changing read and write permissions here and there, searching for non-existant files, and yes, repeatedly installing from disc and from download, and nothing worked. I've been searching the internet up and down, and there are some really involved "solutions" out there for this problem.
Thanks for finallly guiding me to a solution! -

Several of your variables only get set within an if statement - if the condition doesn't evaluate to true, the enclosed statements aren't executed and your variable doesn't get set. You should set all of your globals to some default value (or use a property), since the global declaration doesn't set anything. Also, the application name parameter of the GrowlHelperApp notify command is not optional.
In the future, try not to use whatever put in all those "+" - they make pasting the script into an editor a bit of a pain. -
Hi all, I have noticed an issue with OWA when database(s) are failed over between DAG members. The environments in question (issue can be reproduced in separate implementations of 2013 SP1 all-role servers) are 2 or more DAG members within the same
AD site/subnet. These are also fresh implementations with SP1 and not upgraded. Exchange servers are load balanced via Netscaler.
So to the issue - OWA users experience the below "..MailboxInSiteFailoverException" message when the database copy is activated. Exchange does not immediately proxy the requests to the active database. You can wait several minutes and
the issue is resolved by refreshing the browser or if you recycle the MSExchangeOWAAppPool on both DAG members, the issue is resolved immediately (OWA session re-established on refresh).
Testing so far involved opening multiple OWA sessions and activating a database copy. At that point, upon refresh of the browser the below error is shown (in all test browsers/sessions below) where I would expect any DAG member to be able to proxy
the client request to the active database server immediately (and not after several minutes).
https://netscaler_LB/owa
https://ex2013server-1/owa
https://ex2013server-2/owaHi Simon, I have tested with no firewall on the exchange servers and on client machines within the same subnet as the servers. All with the same results.
I can see many ASP.NET 4.0.30319.0 Event ID 1309 logs similar to this and other threads (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/c938dda0-b3bc-4544-851e-f27b503cf4ed/exchange-2013-event-id-1309-source-aspnet-40303190).
IIS logs show similar monitoring mailbox issues but I am still currently looking through the logs. Thanks for your input.

Issues with Remote Users, VPN Connections, etc.
Hi there,
A few weeks ago I was asked to enable EWS and Outlook Anywhere which had not been previously enabled. I did so, but this seemed to cause issues (they may not have been implemented correctly) for users in remote offices; they would be prompted
for credentials to log into Outlook 2010, but no issues with OWA. I disabled Outlook Anywhere as it turned out we didn't need it, and this has caused VPN users to now not be able to open Outlook.
At this point I'm not sure what the issue is. I've tried implementing a few fixes from Googling around but haven't been able to determine the root cause and actually caused more issues this morning, where many local users were being prompted for credentials,
which was alleviated by creating new mail profiles for them.
We're using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010, with OWA being served by Forefront TMG.
I've seen in some other cases where results of the following queries were asked for, so here they are:

Get-OutlookAnywhere | fl
No output.
I've also run the Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer locally, which appears to fixate on Outlook Anywhere connectivity and fails because OA isn't enabled. Specifically it reports that "The EXPR Provider section is missing in the Autodiscover response.
RPC over HTTP may not be enabled."Hi Steve,
According to the description, my understanding as below:
1. To make users use Outlook externally, you want to enable Outlook Anywhere. However cannot connect to Exchange server via Outlook, it prompts password again and again.
2. Because Outlook Anywhere doesn't work, so you disable it and enable VPN. But it doesn't work neither.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.
Based on the result of running Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer, it means that the Outlook Anywhere is disabled. However it isn't an error.
I suggest enable Outlook Anywhere on Exchange server 2010 and configure Outlook Anywhere on Outlook.
Find an article related Configuration on Outlook for your reference:

Proformance issue with 'sid generation on activation'
Hi Gurus,
In our BW(NW 2004) system we are using Cognos as reporting tool, due to process chain failure at DSO level we unchecked 'sid generation on activation' and chain running successfully after that.
unchecking will be a performance issue due to generating sid's at run time as per SAP.
My question is as i am using Cognos in place of BEX. what are the possiblities of effecting the performance and alll?
Please provide your valuable suggestions.
Thanks in Advance,
Suresh.Hi Suresh,
Irrespective of what is the reporting front end you use, if you use this DSO for reporting it would generate the SID values at the runtime which will have huge impact on reporting performance. Just removing the SID generation option would temporarily fix the load issue, with quick activation of DSO but it will affect the most important area reporting performance.
Try to solve the issue with SID generation error while activating at the BW side which could be because of the special character issues and once you fix that your process chains would load fine with a far better performance while reporting on this DSO.

No connection to new install of WSUS, 404 errors in log
I am attempting to move WSUS from a functional Windows 2008 R2 server to a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. There are no connection problems to the old server. However, I cannot get clients - including the Win2012 server itself - to connect
to WSUS. The logs on the two machines I have been testing with show 404 errors, and the connection attempt ends with an error code of 80244019. I have set up WSUS in a test environment, as well, and receive the same errors. Any assistance
would be very welcome.
This is the log from the last connection attempt on a Win7 machine:

consistent 404 errors...
I don't see the initial WUA service startup messages, so I'm guessing that based on the errors thrown, you haven't configured the WUServer correctly for WS2012R2 WSUS 6.3
WSUS used to use http/80, and http/8530 was optional, but, now http/8530 is the default, so if you aren't setting WUServer (through registry or GP) with the port specified, the client will default to port 80, and it won't get much on that port other than
constant 404's.....
If you are setting WUServer=http://hvdata02, you should be setting instead: WUServer=http://hvdata02:8530

Third Party Hosting Muse Site - 404 Error on Mobile
Hi guys,
I recently exported my Adobe Muse site files (pixelariumstudio.com), uploaded them into FileZilla, and then uploaded the site to GoDaddy hosting services using FileZilla.
The site looks great on desktops but I receive a 404 error whenever I try to view the site on mobile devices (even tablets). I called GoDaddy thinking it was a problem on their end but after two opinions from two separate calls, I've been informed it's the code of the site itself that is the problem. The funny thing is, when the site was hosted through Adobe, it appeared fine on mobile devices but when the site was moved over to GoDaddy, the 404 error arose.
I'm wondering if Muse writes specific code for displaying a site in mobile browsers that is not recognized by third party hosting services because GoDaddy is not redirecting the site to the mobile view and instead just coming up with a 404 error. If so, is there any way to change the code that Muse writes to display the site on mobile devices so that GoDaddy can recognize it? I've done some research online to see what basic code is used to redirect a site to the mobile view but all I came up with was:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
Every guide I find says to place that tag right after the <head> and I do but still no luck getting the website to display on mobile devices. If anyone knows the proper coding to get GoDaddy to display a Muse site on mobile devices, I would forever be in your debt. I'm guessing it's just a couple lines I have to replace but I don't know what lines or with what to replace it. :/ Here is the entire <head> of the website in case this helps find any faulty code:
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">

Specifically, it looks like you didn't upload the 'phone' folder.
If you use Filezilla or another 3rd party FTP tool, you have to be sure to upload all the files exported by Muse for your site to work correctly.
You can also use the 'Upload to FTP host...' menu item within Muse to upload all the files to your web hosting provider. -
SharePoint External URL 404 Error
Hi
I am pretty much new with this - so please bear with me, its prob a simple problem!
I have an internal (normal) url for a SharePoint site, which works great.
However, we want to extend the web application, and use forms and SSL. So I done this, filling in the SQL Membership and SQL Role fields as well. I selected Extranet for the zone (assume its this one, if it matters).
When I browse the external url defined, it just comes up with a 404 error, without even trying really. Any ideas?Hi

Strange 404 error handling on Apache web server
My group recently pulled out of hosting, and now we're on a
Solaris server running Apache 1.3.29 (A bit behind the times, but
I've got no control there): (Server Version: Apache/1.3.29 (Unix)
JRun/4.0 mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.7c). They quickly threw the
server together, and something's wrong with the 404 error handling.
Here are the symptoms:
- When the request is for a .cfm file, and that file doesn't
exist, the user is redirected to the 404 error page where all
request information is lost. By redirected, I mean
http://servername/test.cfm
goes to
http://servername/404.cfm.
When looking for the request information, it's as if the user had
browsed directly to 404.cfm and not test.cfm.
- When the request is for anything else that does not have
.cfm, say,
http://servername/blah/ (even if
it pulls a .cfm as the default file), instead of being
"redirected", the contents of the 404 error page are pulled up.
Now, all the request information is pulled up, although in custom
cgi variables like cgi.redirect_url and cgi.redirect_query_string,
but at least the values are there.
I realize it's hard to diagnose this problem without more
specifics on how the server was set up, but the only access I have
is WebDAV to the web root, and pretty much all collaboration
between our groups has been cut off so I won't be able to provide
any more information that the symptoms. Has anyone had a similar
problem? If so, could you provide some details?
Thanks for your time in reading this.
On a side note, taking a little poll, who uses a single
powerhouse server that costs tens of thousands of dollars, and who
uses cheaper, redundant hardware with load balancing?i checked and found there r no files like that.does these files really prsent?

JSP loading issue: HTTP 404 error
I have a JSP page that stopped loading up.
It gives me the Apache HTTP 404 error that it can not find the JSP page.
There are no servlet classes associated with the JSP page.
Simply, it is an HTML page calling a JSP page.
This issue appeared after we(IT team) incorporated servlets on the machine.
Directory structure changed, but it shouldn't have effected our JSP pages.
Directory structure
../wwwroot/Finance/Labor.html goes to ../wwwroot/Finance/Labor.jspAnd how does the HTML page invoke the JSP page?
Are you doing it via a <form> or are you linking to it through an <a href>?
You really didn't provide very much information. There are a lot of things that could go wrong. For example, Tomcat generally likes its JSPs to be in a specific place which is NOT the default Apache document root. You'd explicitly have to configure Tomcat to use the same Apache document root though.
Similarly, application specific Servlets are usually in a sub-directory of the one containing JSP files for that application. In other words, you don't really put JSPs in c:/JSPs on one machine, HTML in /home/rycherX/www on another machine and Servlets in \\rycherX\workspace\Servlets on a third.
The first place to start is to tell us what Servlet Engine you just installed. Tomcat? JBoss? WebSphere?
