Issue with Photo Sync

Hi all, I have a big problem with the sync of images and photos from PC to iPod Touch 4G with iOS 4.3.3 using iTunes (lastest version).
Every time i try to sync a folder, iTunes do the optimization, but when it goes to sync them to the iPod, it only sync for example only 1 photo out 20. The message that appear is exactly this one: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1306?viewlocale=en_US
But i tried 100 times and I still haven't been lucky.
Please Help!

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 4. just bought it yesterday and plugged into itunes and got the same error. this is a brand new phone and just updated to latest firmware in itunes.
I am running 4.2.1 and 10.2.1 on the iphone and itunes.
4.3 is out for the iphone 4 but I cannot even sync the update with out the error saying the drive cannot be read or written to.

Duplication Issues with Photo Sync via iTunes/iPhoto and Photo Stream/iCloud (Detailed Scenario Given)

Hi Everyone,
I'd like to share an issue I am having with photo syncing between my iDevices.
Here is how I USED to sync my Photos between my iDevices (no issues with photo duplication)
Note: In this scenario, I use iTunes and iPhoto on my Mac. iCloud and Photo stream have NOT been activated in this case.
1. Take photos via iPhone that saves in Camera Roll
2. After a month or so, I will connect my iPhone to my Mac.
3. Import my Photos in iPhoto and arrange Events and Photos in monthly sections and add some of them in a separate Albums (ex. Written Notes Photos) for easy access.
4. Once the import is done, iPhoto prompts an option to delete photos in my Camera Roll which I do as I like to start a fresh month with empty Camera Roll in my iPhone.
5. In order to access the Photos I have imported in iPhoto in my iPhone, I go to iTunes and sync all my photos to my iPhone. This syncs my events, photos, faces, albums as they have been arranged in iPhoto in my Mac. (I cant delete them in my iPhone once they are synced. I have to delete in my iPhoto and sync again to have similar setup in my iPhone which isn't a problem).
NOW I decided I don't want to manually go through all this process and went on to enable the Photo Stream ON in my iPhone and iPhoto with iCloud.
THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM ENSUES.
1. I Take photos with my iPhone that saves in Camera Roll
2. This automatically syncs with my Mac due to Photo Stream which a really convenient.
3. It syncs automatically to Photo Stream, Events, Photos, Faces section in the iPhoto and I put put some of them (notes) in a separate album.
THE PROBLEM:
The Photos does not show up in the Album, Events and Photos Folder in my iPhone. They are only shown in Camera Roll. So I thought to sync using iTunes so the new Photos will be arranged in their appropriate folder like it used to with my prior process of syncing. This worked, HOWEVER the photos in my iPhone started showing DUPLICATES! Apparently, one comes from Photo Stream (which, if I delete on my phone also deletes in all my iDevices) and the other duplicate is from the iTunes sync (this sets up my photos as arranged in iPhoto which is what i WANT to happen as Photo Stream does not sync them accordingly).
SOLUTION I AM IN SEARCH FOR:
I want to be able to take photos with my iPhone that automatically syncs in iCloud AND iPHOTO AS ARRANGED IN MY MAC (Albums, Events etc) WITHOUT PROBLEM OF PHOTO DUPLICATES.

Other folks have resolved similar issues by trashing the iPod Photo Cache.

All of us here are users just like you. We have no inside info of when Apple products or operating system updates/upgrades will be released. The next iOS may not even change the issue you have.

Issue with Ipad Syncing with Exchange

We have 6 folks using Ipads regularly to access our corporate exchange server. Up to now things have been fairly stable.
That said starting this week our President has been having significants issues with the syncing process. The process seems to be hanging (however it may be jsut retrying over and over). This is resulting in some emails getting sent multiple times. It also appears that the syncing of Calendar events is sporadic.
No updates ahve been applied to the Exchange server.
He is a pretty heavy user of the Ipad and email and recieves alot of attachments some that are large 5-10mb. I see some chatter about these types of issues but no real solutions.
Is anyone else seeing this type of activity? If so any thoughts on how to improve the issue.

I connected my IPAD for sync with Itunes on my laptop, DELL 6500 running Windows Vista.
Itunes prompted me to download new OS version 3.2.x It then went to restart my IPAD- and then boom !! .. windows said it couldnt find my ipad driver. I went to apple support site and followed their instructions and still windows cant find the driver. Hence my IPAD is not stuck showing the connect to ITUNES screen .. cant use it and cant get update.
Any one has any ideas what happened ?

Issues with Photo orientation after syncing IPad

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with the ipad changing the orientation of photos following syncing ipad with itunes. What I have been experiencing is that although the photo is in portrait orientation in iphoto on the imac, this same photo after syncing of the ipad with itunes on this same imac machine, the photo when opened up on the ipad is in landscape orientation. Have consulted with senior advisors at apple but not sure if this is an iphoto problem or an itunes/ipad sync problem? seems to me that whatever the orientation of the photo is in iphoto, that when you sync the ipad the photo should transfer with the same orientation. anyone else having this problem?

There have been several posts here and on the iphone site about this.
The jury is still out what the fix will be. Some posts say it's a problem with the metadata and the orientation data contained there-in. I can not confirm that.
I do know that when I take a landscape screen snap, the orientation is wrong when I email or upload the photo to my computer.

Issue with photos in iMovie - looks normal in timeline but won't play

I'm having an issue with importing photos into iMovie. I've done it many a time without trouble but suddenly, when I really need it...ahh!
The problem is with a video I've already exported once—I'm not sure if that's related. I created a slide in Powerpoint, made it into a jpg, then dragged it into my timeline (also something I've done before without issue). It looks totally normal in the timeline, but when I play the video it shows a still from the previous clip instead of my photo. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Gah. This is where I'm at...I'm using the code from above and
my mp3 sound file is ID'd in the linkage properties as monkey7.mp3
and it's still not working.
What buttons should be checked in the Linkage properties? If
my id is monkey7.mp3 and I check the Export for ActionScript
button, my sound file plays multiple times and it still won't stop.
If I do the same thing but ID it as "monkey7.mp3", it plays
correctly but won't stop.
I don't know if this matters but my mc where my sound file is
located is one frame. Is that correct?
I'm sure the code is correct but I'm missing something and I
can't figure it out!

Issue with email sync

I have configured 5 gmail accounts, 3 yahoo accounts and 1 live account. Everything was working fine until a day came that I was forced to change the password of all my G accounts. I changed it in my phone also but since then I cant sync just 1 gmail account. Not that I cant sync but its not loading the mails in the viewer. Email app works fine with other accounts. I tried deleting all the account and re-created all the accounts still its not working. I tried deleting it from email.nokia.com and STILL its not working. a 3 months ago I had the same issue with another G account. What I did then was I stopped using the Email app. I sstarted using it only a 3 weeks ago as I really needed a client on my phone. Wish someone could help me out from this really awkward situation

Issues with photos/videos not uploading in chronological order..

I have been having issues with Adobe Bridge not uploading my photo/video files (from a CF card) in chronological order. When uploading I select to rename the files by shot date + 01.. etc. For photos the first image then becomes the last image after uploading, and for video files everything is out of order. Not sure why as the only other thing I have selected to add is copyright info. Also having issues with Bridge not converting raw files to DNG (which has led me to use Adobe DNG Converter - not terrible, but hopefully there is a reason?). I think it is a problem with Bridge, as photos uploaded to my website - something completely non-Adobe related are also then thrown out of order.. so it seems to be an issue with files that have come through Bridge at some point. Any advice is much appreciated.

I just noticed that iTunes is now accepting 'some' videos. They are all the same file type (mp4), but iTunes is just randomly choosing which videos it wants add to the Library & not.
I'm still not getting any results when it comes to the Photos.
... and one last thing ... only random songs are displaying the album art on the iPod. Yhey ALL appear in iTunes. If i restore my iPod & re-load everything, some of the songs that DID have artwork appearing on the screen now don't.
This is really messed up! Wonder if the eventual Vista-compatible iTunes will fix this problem ...

Issues with photo album

Ever since I upgraded to ios7, I cannot access my photos anymore.
As soon as I hit the photo icon, the ipad mini freezes and I cannot do anything with it untill it reboots by itself. Even tried to force a reboot and it does do anything.

Well, there were so many issues with IOS7, I decided to wipe out the IPAD and restart from scratch.
Now it works fine...

Is there an issue with iCloud syncing on iWork apps?

I thought everything was ok with iCloud syncing but I seem to now have issues.
I created a spreadsheet under Pages on my iPad (3rd Gen) and, after pressing the 'spreadsheet' button to show thumbnails of all docs being worked on, I'm seeing a small arrow pointing upwards on the thumbnail. Before, I used to see a progress bar updating in the thumbnail (which I presume is updating to iCloud).
Now? Nothing. The arrow stays and nothing is updated on my iPhone 4. In fact, a previous version of my spreadsheet is shown on my iPhone with the same upwards pointing arrow but with the whole thumbnail 'greyed out'. I can't even open it on the iPhone to delete it!
Is this a know issue and are there any fixes? I've tried the usual turning iCloud off and on for both devices but this has not had any effect.

I have now established that there are issues with Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents!!! They surely cannot all be corrupted?
I have managed to salvage an important Numbers Document which I have copied in to iTunes (and subsequently on to my external HD).
To try and rectify the situation I have then turned off iCloud on all 3 apps on both my iPhone 4 and iPad and deleted all documents under each app. I have then gone on to iWork under iCloud and deleted all documents off there (some of which I noted were not the up-to-date documents I had been working on in iOS). I had to turn off iCloud regardless to delete a couple of the documents on my iPhone (under all 3 apps) as some documents were greyed out (see original post) and could not be deleted. As soon as iCloud was disabled it enabled me to remove off the local device.
Having switched iCloud back on to my iPhone and iPad (and bearing in mind I had deleted all documents off both iOS devices and in iCloud) the greyed out thumbnails re-appear (and cannot be deleted or altered!!!!)
Anybody? Aaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Issue with Ford Sync (Microsoft Sync) & iPhone 4--Playing Music via USB

I have a 2011 Ford Flex and and iPhone 4. The Sync system will not play music via the USB connection. It is quite temperamental with the bluetooth as well. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well I have a 2010 Fusion with Sync and an iPhone 4. Have had various issues getting things to work right all the time. I'm not sure if Sync in the 2011's is much different.
When you say it doesn't play music, what does it do when you give it the USB command? Does the iPhone charge when plugged into the USB port? If the phone charges and it seems to let you select USB but doesn't play any music, on your iPhone, go to iPod and you may see an accessory connected screen. Touch the icon next to SYNC and you will see SYNC and doc connector listed. Touch doc connector and see if the music is heard.
If you haven't already register at www.syncmyride.com you will find some community forums there with hints/steps on getting Sync and iPhone to work properly.
Generally though, there have been a lot of issues with SYNC and Apple devices.

Issues with icloud syncing

Hello, I have issues with my iphone 4s under ios 7.1.2. I have always set the settings to automatically sync all my setup to icloud. However, from time to time, my iphone suddenly loses all my contacts even though icloud is still activated. I have faced this unstability several times in the past 3 months. I haven't found an automatic way to retrieve them but it seems that deactivating icloud, restarting the iphone and reactivating icloud is working.
However, is there another way to fix this issue for good? It indeed becomes very troublesome.

First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

Issue with Photo Sharing on iPhoto on Mac

Hellp everyone, this is my first time posting on the Apple Support communities. I have been having issues with my Photo Sharing on my Mac (Iphoto 11). I recently was on vacation and wanted to share the photos with my girlfriend and a few family members. I uploaded my photos to Iphoto on my mac and then went to Share, Photo Stream, and then crated a Photo Stream of our vacation. It asks me to name the photo stream and invite people. When I click on ok it creats the photo stream and the people I invited get invitations to join the photo stream, however, when I go to look at the photo stream there is no photos in it and none of the people i invited see any of the photos either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I had the same question. Visited this thread and was disappointed to hear the feature was gone.
Then I thought it just COULDN'T be. So I kept tapping. AND FOUND IT!
Basically, when you are in your Photos App, as a previous poster said, it now divides your photos into "Moments". These moments are arragned by Place and Date.
Wherever it says the name of a place, just tap the name of the place (above the tiled thumbnails of the pics taken in that place) and you will be taken to a map, centered on the Moment in question. Use finger gestures to zoom in and out, and you will see the pics you have taken, georeferenced and tagged to the locations you took them, as before (except now in IOS7 it uses Apple Maps, not Google).

When I try to write a text on top of a photo the screen goes black and flickers?
Am I doing something wrong?
I uninstalled the progran earlier on today and downloaded it again but the problem is still there...

Click on Edit in Photoshop menu and choose Preferences->Perfomance. Click on Advanced settings and change drawing mode to Basic.
If that does not work, deselelct Use Graphics processor.
