Issue with PI 7.1 webservice

Hi,
I recently upgraded my sender SOAP (PI web services) from 7.0 to 7.1
Previous 7.0 url changed to below as per SAP note..
http://host:port /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=FP& senderService=FS & interface=IF&receiverParty=TP&receiverService=TS&interfaceNamespace=IFNamespace
Based on above url, no need to create one communication channel for each innterface.
When i try to use the same coomunication channel in my scenarios, all the scenarios are using the first interface...
is it mean do i need to create several interfaces for each scenario..infact it is duplication..
why based on above url PI7.1 is not able identify correct communication channel.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Srini

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using Business System, not business service.
For PI7.0, we can specify default interface name and namespace for SOAP sender communication channel. And specify this coomunication channel name in the XI Web service.
But in PI 7.1, we can't specify interface name in the communication channel. And coomunication channel is not used in URL. Based on PI Web service URL, it will identify communication channel.
So, when i used the SOAP communication channel for all the scenarios, PI could not able to resolve it when i call from my application. My scenario is SOAP-RFC.
The URL is always calling the same interface for all the scenarios.
Do i need to duplicate SOAP sender communication channel, and use one for ONLY one scenario.
Thanks,
Srinivasa
Thanks,
Srini

  • Classloader issue with resource adapter and webservice

    The following applications are planned to be deployed on the server.
    1.My-shared-lib.ear (J2EE shared library).
    2.My-Service-ear.ear (Service)
    3.My-Resource-Adapter.rar
    The My-shared-lib.ear contains a war which has 3rd Party jars.
    The My-Service-ear.ear contains the service classes and refers to the My-shared-lib.ear using a library relationship. In our case, it refers to spring, Hibernate and related jars.
    The My-Resource-Adapter.rar contains the Resources Adapters. In this case it contains the Spring jars.
    Points on Setup
    1.The configuration does not specify any jars in the classpath.
    2.There are no 3rd party jars in the ext folder.
    *2.Issue Description*
    Issue while starting the Service EAR.*
    The development setup has an application server that has My-shared-lib.ear and My-Service-ear.ear deployed. This works fine.
    The proposed deployment architecture mandates that these applications be deployed on a server where the My-Resource-Adapter.rar is already running. We can deploy & start My-shared-lib.ear . However, when we try to deploy and start My-Service-ear.ear, it fails to start with the error. The detailed exception is found in Appendix A.
    Error Message:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/hibernate/ejb/HibernatePersistence
    *3.Options tried*
    1.Place all the required jars in the .rar.
    We placed all the 3rd party jars required for the My-Service-ear.ear in the My-Resource-Adapter.rar file. When we deployed all the 3 applications, all applications including the My-Service-ear.ear were deployed and started as well.
    2.Place all the required jars in the Service ear.
    We placed all the 3rd party jars required for the My-Service-ear.ear in the My-Service-ear.ear file with the <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>. When we deployed all the 3 applications, all applications including the My-Service-ear.ear were deployed and started as well.
    3.Altering deployment order.
    The deployment order was altered with a higher preference being given to the My-Service-ear.ear. When we deployed all the 3 applications, the application My-Service-ear.ear was deployed but failed to start giving the same exception.
    *4.Analysis*
    1.The spring jar though available in the library ear is being loaded from the .rar application by the classloader.
    2.The above point means that the library reference being provided in the My-Service-ear.ear does not seem to have any impact.
    3.In the 3rd scenario we observed that when the spring is removed from the .rar, it gets loaded from the My-shared-lib.ear. However when it tries to load Hibernate related classes, it fails.
    *5.Summary*
    Our understanding is that all the applications run within their own Classloaders. If classes are not found within the applications, then they should be looking at the Application Server. But here we see that they are referring to the classes in ‘.rar’ file. Hence we are unable to understand this issue. The above problem has workarounds. However, these options are not allowed as per the requirement. The requirement is that the application should run independent of the’ .rar’. Is there a better approach? Are we missing any configuration?

    This thread caught my attention - because since switching last week from a late '06 Macbook to the Macbook Pro 13", my Wifi performance at home has gotten slow and unreliable.
    I'm using the Apple MiniDP-DVI adapter, connected to a 24" Dell monitor, which has worked great for a few years on my white Macbook. My base station is a Linksys WRTSL54GS, located about 20 feet away from my desk.
    So, I tried some speed tests with and without the DVI. Performance with the adapter connected is terrible, disconnected it's perfect. Further testing shows that positioning matters.
    When the adapter is turned back 90 degrees, leading the monitor cable towards the back of my desk, Wifi performance is bad. When I turn the adapter so it sticks straight out the left side of the Macbook Pro, performance is normal.
    This is a little weird, but an acceptable workaround for me.

  • Issue with working on a webservice that has  xml elements with attributes

    This is  a branchout of Thread: Some more complex sample of invokin WS needed_
    We are working on a project that involves a outbound SALT Web service call that includes complex elements with attributes..We are looking for options of how to use FML API's to pass these attribute values from the application code.

    _     <UUID>text</UUID>_
    _</Service>";_
    _2) Use Fmbpack32 to create a mbstring data_
    _memcpy(reqmbptr, (char*)xmldata.data(),xmldata.length());_
    _len=xmldata.length();_
    _Fmbpack32(mbcodeName,reqmbptr,len, packdata,(FLDLEN32 *)&packedlen,0);_
    userlog("Size of packedlen is %d",packedlen);
    3) Add the packed data to the output buffer
    Fadd32(fmlbuffer,Service, packdata,packedlen );
    But we do not see the Service tag populated in the GWWS outbound request.Everything else makes it....any help on how to move ahead would be appreciated...

    It seems you switch to the 10gR3 GA and now the whole XML data is mapped to FLD_MBSTRING.
    I will forward my sample to you by mail, but this sample is not offical sample, it is just QA test case. You can refere it and check what's the difference.
    Please let me know your mail address.

  • Issue with publishing schema as webservice using WCF-BasicHTTP two way channel

    Here is my scenario:
    I am trying to publish a Req-Resp schema which will be consumed by an orchestration and will return a response to me .When I invoke the WCF service end point it triggers the orchestration but the response never comes back to the SOAP UI. My orchestration
    is completing and returning the response.
    But in the SOAP UI I am instead getting : <Message>Root element is missing.
    I am using WCF-BasicHTTP two way port. My app pool id under whcih the BT service is hosted  is part of Administrator group on the server
    My config file is as well updated with   <trust level="Full" originUrl="" /> info.
    What could be the reason for failure.

    Hi,
    Did you try checking your orchestration response xml against the schema definition WCF service is expecting to return.

  • Performance issues with Webservices in XI

    Hi,
    Friends,
    my issue is with the performance of webservices.how to improve performance of webservices in XI?
    We don't have any hardware issues.no big mapping or payload.webservice is actually residing in the XI server.there is a bottleneck somewhere which is hampering the performance.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavan M.

    Hi,
    Is XI a webservice provider or consumer?
    If XI is the consumer, then you can use any SOAP client tool (there are lots of generic 3rd party soap client test tools on the internet) to execute the webservice to detemine whether it is causing performance problem.
    If XI is the provider, you can take the sender soap adapter out of the equation by using a HTTP client test tool.
    The SXI_MONITOR also provides execution time for every step in the pipeline of the XI engine.

    In the above wsdl the collection of fintObjInst if of type xs:anytype. From the wsdl, I do not see the xsd mapping for AccountIC which includes Name and Desc. Due to which, when invoking the web service from a different client like c#(by creating proxy business service), I am unable to set the parameters for AccountIC. I am using JAX-WS stack and WLS 10.3. I have already looked at blog http://weblogs.java.net/blog/kohlert/archive/2006/10/jaxws_and_type.html but unable to solve this issue. However, at run time using a tool like SoapUI, when this wsdl is imported, I am able to see all the params related to AccountIC class.
    Can some one help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Sudha.

    Did you try adding the the XmlSeeAlso annotation to the webservice
    @XmlSeeAlso({<package.name>.AccountIC.class})
    This will add the schema for the data type (AccountIC) to the WSDL.
    Hope this helps.

  • Issues with using utl_http with Oracle Wallet

    Hello Everyone,
    We are experimenting with Oracle wallet and utl_http and are attempting to do an https transfer and we are facing some problems. I will appreciate your help greatly if you can advise on what could be wrong. We are on db version 10.2.0.1 and Unix HP-UX. The intention ping an https url and get a simple 200 response. Future development would include get/post XML documents from that url and other interesting stuff. I understand that utl_http with Oracle wallet can be used for this purpose.
    The wallet has been created and the ewallet.p12 exists. We downloaded the SSL certificate from the url's website and uploaded into the wallet.
    Everything works if I put in a url with plain http. However, it does not work with an HTTP*S* url.
    With HTTPS when I run the below code I get the following error. Again, greatly appreciate your time and help because this is the first time we are using Oracle wallet manager and do not know where to go from here.

  • Issue with SSL in web service.

    Hi All,
    We are having synchronous web service to proxy scenario in XI. We are trying to send a binary data using the SOAP web service to SAP via XI. Initially, we were posting large binary data using HTTP connection via XI from the SOAP client. The scenario was working without any issues.
    Since the data is sensitive changed the web service from HTTP to HTTPS.The interface works without issues when we test it using the SOAP client for testing. When the data is sent using the Dot Net application (the end application) using the same webservice, URL (HTTPS connection) the message errors out. The connection is borken and the message fails. In this scenario, XI does not even receive the message which I can make out looking into the SOAP adapter communication channel.
    The interesting fact here is the same  Dot Net application is able to connect and send smaller binary data using HTTPS connection.
    Could you please let us know if this could be the issue with HTTPS connection on XI side? I doubt it to be an issue on XI side because the adapter does not even receive any message when the scenario fails. But we used some HTTPS monitoring tools and found that the Dot Net Application receives some encrypted response from the server which the application is not able to decrypt and the handshake breaks.
    Could you please throw some inputs into this issue.
    Thanks,
    Manohar.

    Hi Manohar

    But it doesn't list the server while deploying the application.
    I don't see the issue in my office network. But I encounter this problem when I work at my home.
    Ideally it should show the following lines after server is started:
    DefaultServer startup time: 195467 ms.
    DefaultServer started.
    This is not happening if i run the server without network.
    How can I fix this problem?
    Thanks
    Ravi

    I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
    If not you should turn the proxy off.

  • Facing Issue With Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0

    Hi All,
    I am facing some issues with ORACLE SOA SUITE 11.1.1.3.0.
    Hope you people can help us out.
    Please find the issue details below along with all the relevant information’s
    I have following SOA suite installation at my server:
    Oracle 10g Express Edition Universal 10.2.0.1
    RCU 11.1.1.3.3
    Web Logic Server 10.3.3.0
    SOA suite 11.1.1.3.0
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
    The first thing what I have done is created a web service and deployed it to server without any issue.
    After that I created proxy client for that service and accessed it successfully from the client end.
    Till here no issue occurs.
    After that I applied few policies on top of web service and deployed it to server.
    The policy I had chosen was “oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy” [coming under OWSM policies list]
    While deploying there was no issue, all went well.
    2nd step I had created client using “oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy” policy which is counter part of above policy and tried to access the web service but failed.
    I have followed this blog:
    [http://biemond.blogspot.com/2010/08/things-you-need-to-do-for-owsm-11g.html ]
    Please have a look on service and client code:
    Service Code:
    package Demo_ScoreCard;
    import javax.jws.WebService;
    import weblogic.wsee.jws.jaxws.owsm.SecurityPolicy;
    @WebService
    @SecurityPolicy(uri = "oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy")
    public class ScoreCardWithPolicy {
    public double getPercentageWithPolicy(double markEng,double markMath,double markHindi,double markScience,double markSsc)
    double result;
    result= ((markEng+markHindi+markMath+markScience+markSsc)/500)*100;
    return result;
    Client Code:
    package com.tec.proxy.client;
    import java.util.Map;
    import javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider;
    import javax.xml.ws.WebServiceRef;
    import weblogic.wsee.jws.jaxws.owsm.SecurityPolicyFeature;
    public class ScoreCardWithPolicyPortClient {
    @WebServiceRef

    Not getting any help from any blog. Just wondering why this error is coming. I would be glad if you can help us in this regard.
    Apart from above issue I have few queries like:
    1.What is difference between OWSM policies and WLS policies?
    2.Are these the only policies we can apply on top of services?
    3.If some one wants to configure his own custom policies than what need to be done
    4.Could anyone please provide some useful links to implement ENCYPTION and SIGNATURE on top of web services?
    5.And If I am not wrong, I guess Oracle Service BUS OSB 11.1.1.3 has been removed from the main download link and version 11.1.1.4 has been provided. Is it
    compatible with SOA suite 11.1.1.3.0? If not where can I get OSB 11.1.1.3?
    Looking forward to hear from you people.
    Thanks
    Arvind

    Hi,
    I don't know why u get an error. Here are answers for additional questions:
    1. OWSM policies are for web services. WLS policies are based on Java EE security. They are used to protect resources e.g. URL, EJB
    2. I don't know about other policies
    3. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13713/owsm_appendix.htm#CHDCHFBH
    4. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/security.1111/e10037/toc.htm
    5. I can see OSB 11.1.1.3 download link here

  • Issue with provided message for WSDL of SAP PI sender interface

    Hi,
    as I am not familar with SOAP interfaces and use of WSDL by partners with WSDL generated in SAP PI there are some issues that I have with a scenario:
    1. Import of external xsd for message is done
    2. Enterprise Repository and Integration Directory objects are completely created and activated
    3. WSDL was generated from ID Sender agreement (This is PI 7.1)
    4. Partner got the WSDL
    The partner provided now some test messages by mail that I would like to test in the mapping as the message is really complex.
    But the result is strange...
    1. The header of the partner message is this:
    <XJustiz_Daten xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <Grunddaten xmlns="http://www.xjustiz.de">
    (Some german words are in that example. But this doesn t matter!)
    This is different to the xml that PI generates in mapping:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:XJustiz_Daten xmlns:ns0="http://www.xjustiz.de">
       <ns0:Grunddaten>
          <ns0:Grunddaten XJustizVersion="">
    Partner defines xsi:   instead of ns0   and PI fails using this message!
    So I had to change the message header and add ns0: to all element tags and node tags of the message.
    (See for example with first node "Grunddaten").
    2. There are some mandatory nodes and elements.
    An example:
    - Rechtsform is mandatory node (1..1) with element content (mandatory 1..1)
    So it will appear in the payload like this:
                        <ns0:Rechtsform>
                                <ns0:content xmlns=""/>
                         </ns0:Rechtsform>
    But the partner provides this:
    <Rechtsform xsi:nil="true" />
    which is the next issue as PI doesn t understand as xsi is not mapped to a namespace. !
    It would be easy to use an "exist" function to solve the issue with the not provided element but this will not help
    when the node is provided with additinal information xsi:....
    Can you give any help/answer why PI is not able to handle such things.
    Thank you!
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hello Meinhard,
    If you are the Service Owner, the sender system must use your wsdl message (WebService Definition).
    If there're other problems or the sender system can't use your message structure, in agreement with them you need to develope a different mapping.

  • Mapping Issue with UDF

    I am in the middle of doing a webservice call from within a UDF.
    The problem is that when I am declaring my message part of the definition is a url. So I am trying to declare a string like the following:
    String m = "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><msgType xmlns:ns0=http://www.webservice.com ......
    Now my problem is with the

    // is a comment in java so everything after this is being seen as a comment how do I solve this issue?
    I had the same issue with "
    "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    but I solved it using \ like the following:
    "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>
    The problem is this is working for the //

    Hi Alex,
    I had a scenario like this in the past.
    In most cases you call Services for Lookups.
    In such a Case use the
    Com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.api and use the accessor and the lookup services for the same.
    In such a case the Communication Channel can store the web addresses and XML,
    you just need to
    1. Create a Channel object  based on the channel
    2. Derive a accessor out of it
    3. Use the accessor to Bulid your payload
    4. parse your payload.

  • Issue with Receiver SOAP adapter for synchronous scenario

    Hello All,
    We are facing a strange issue with the SOAP adapter in the interface we have setup. This is the 1st time we are using SOAP adapter in our system (PI 7.11 SP7). We are making a synchronous HTTP call to the web service exposed by another system in our landscape. The payload is send with SOAP envelope and there are no credentials to be maintained in PI settings.
    The issue is that we are always getting timeout exception in PI audit logs after sending the request (3 minutes - standard timeout value, no additional config for this). But target system has confirmed that they are sending the response back. We tested from our server OS level and have received the response back in the same screen (to verify there is no firewall/port issue in between the systems). But when tried from RWB, it is always giving the timeout exception and we are not able to see any other log.
    We have tried checking in the NWA logs as well after increasing the logging level to ALL for com.sap.aii.adapter.soap. But surprisingly, we didn't get any logs at all for the outgoing SOAP call or incoming response and hence we are unable to trace the issue.
    We have setup another synchronous inbound SOAP interface (PI exposing the webservice) and it is working fine. We are also able to trace the logs in both audit log and NWA logs.
    Is there anywhere else we can check for the logs? Audit logs is showing timeout error and we are not able to see anything in NWA logs.
    Does the target system need to maintain PI credentials in the header when they send the synchronous response back?
    Are there any specific settings which should be checked to enable the sync communication? (this should not be the case since the inbound interface is working fine)
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Justin

    Hi Amit,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Yes we had tested successfully via SOAP UI as well (forgot to mention that). We are getting back the expected response in SOAP UI without using any credentials. We got the same response when we tested it through OS commands from PI server.
    The WS is hosted by the target system and they haven't maintained any credentials at their end. So when PI is trying to access, we don't need to provide any credentials. My question is, whether the target system should keep any credentials to send the synchronous response back to PI (java stack). We have tried that as well but since there aren't any logs, we are unable to verify whether the credentials are coming correctly.
    The service interfaces are correct and PI configuration are OK. I will try the XPI inspector for logs as you have suggested.
    Thanks
    Justin

  • Issues with file upload in flex mobile application (sharepoint as backend)

    Hello,
    I am working on flex mobile application for android platform for which we are having sharepoint as a backend.
    (Flex SDK 4.6 and AIR 3.9)
    Issue which we are facing is as follows:
    We are communicating with the backend server using webservices: example:
    <s:WebService id="kWebService" wsdl="http://www.kservice.net/kdatabaseservice.asmx?WSDL" >
                <s:operation name="AddPost"
                             resultFormat="object"
                             result="addPostResult(event)"
                             fault="postsfaulterr(event)" />
    </s:WebService>
    Above services are working fine but we are facing issue with one service which is related to file upload.
    File upload for <10 MB is working fine but when we try to upload larger file on server it fails to process.
    We are sending bytearray to the backend and backend code is writing those bytearray into file.
    We have tried many ways to overcome from this situation. like we have checked configuration for file upload size on server , we have tried wcf services as well. Please help us on this criticle point as soon as possible
    Thanks

    What do you mean that my video saves the contents int he server and not in transparent table?  I save the data into a temporary database table so it can be accessed by the parent WDA session. From there the WDA session can do whatever it wants with it.  What do you mean by transparent table - that would be a database table. Do you actually mean internal table?  if so, just read the data from the temporary database table into memory.
