Issue with printing from web pdf forms

Hello, This printer prints locally in an okay amount of time but If we go to a web site that we usually go to and pull up a pdf form, it takes up 3 minutes to print the pdf form.  Any suggestions to fix this issue?

  • Formatting Issues When Printing from a PDF

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 in Windows 7.  I have been printing or saving documnts as PDF's without issues until today.  I have created a document in Microsoft Publisher and have saved it as a PDF.  When I open that document, it appears on screen just as the original file in Publisher.  My issues are when I print from the PDF document.  When I print from the PDF, the formating for footers is not saved.  For example.  I might have a blank page with a page number at the top and a footer containing my company name on the bottom of the page.  When I print that page, the page number is where it is suppose to be, but the footer is moved to right under the page number at the top of the page.   I have been printing PDF from Publisher for years using these same versions of Adobe and Publisher.  Does anyone know why the formatting is not printing correctly?

  • Issue with printing Indesign exported PDF in Chrome

I have created a file in CS6 and exported it to a two sided PDF. This PDF works when printing from the PDF.
I have uploaded it as a document link on a website and when clicking on the link it opens in a separate window. If people use Internet Explorer or download the file the PDF and print it it looks perfect.
If the user is using Google Chrome only a section of the PDF prints at a large size. It looks like it thinks the PDF is an A3 so only prints the bottom left hand corner.
Things I have already tried - which all have the same issue.
Creating a brand new InDesign file and exporting reuploaded on the website
Saving it as a IDML file and exporting and reuploaded on the website
Had someone else export the file
Tried printing from google chrome outside the office
Checked no issues with the website backend
Checked with the IT company that services our systems.
Thanks in advance of your help.

    Hi jtrew,
It sounds as though the issue is specific to Chrome. Please see the following document from Google support: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142056?hl=en

  • HP Officejet 6800 e-All-in-One-series - issues with printing from MSWord / Setup

I have been trying to set up the HP Officejet it seems for over 2 weeks - it works then doesn't - I dont want to return it but if it doesnt work proper .... I removed and reinstalled software - yesterday printed from MSWORD - today its not --- it will print pages off the internet but not from my MSWORD - its set up wirelessly - so frustrated - and what's worse is I am HP lover and now I cant even find a HP support phone number to call and I am pretty sure I remember being told while I was making my purchasing decision I could call HP for support with reference to set up when I bought the printer. Can someone tell me if the printer then not working is normal for this printer - with reference to printing MSWORD etc and if not is there some special place I am suppose to click to fix - thank you in advance

    Hi @TheoD,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
Sorry to hear about your frustration with not being able to print from MS Word with your HP Officejet 6800 printer. But I am happy to help!
It is definitely odd that this printer is not printing from MS Word but will from the Internet. I am not seeing much documentation for an HP Officejet 6800, is it possible that you have the HP Officejet 8600? Just double-checking to make sure I provide the correct information. To find your printer's Product/Model Number follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
For further assistance, I will also need to know what Operating System you are using. Windows or Mac? What version? If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos.
If you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens!
Otherwise, if you still prefer to call someone, please call our phone support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Country-language selector.

  • Issue with printing an Indesign PDF

    Hi all,
I'm just getting into the InDesign software, picking new stuff up everyday.  So far, so good! Or so I thought...
I've just created a small handout / brochure which I've converted to PDF.  The problem I'm having is that when I print the PDF it creates an opaque white box on every page in the same place. I've googled it and can't seem to find anything to solve it - the only thing that slightly married up to my issue was to do with the image clipping paths, but I didn't set any to begin with.  All images are currently JPG's that have been "placed" in and are set to a 30% transparency.
I'm thinking of just doing a long winded trial and error by removing all images and seeing if that's what's causing the problem.  Unfortunately I have to do so on one machine, transfer it to another just to print to find out if that's the case.  Which is annoying...
Any help would be most appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Rob

Turns out it was an issue with the images that i'd put in (not 100% sure what!).  I don't think it was on the master sheet as I left that alone, but took out the JPGs in the rest of the document and put them back one by one.  Can't say what was causing the issue before because I set all the transparency settings the same and placed the images in like before, but at least it's fixed now!
Update: It would appear it happens when I print the PDF as an image.  /facepalm....
Thanks again for the replies and help

  • Issues with printing from Adobe Acrobat 9.5

When I try to print a pdf it creates a .pm file instead of sending the document to the printer.  How can I correct this?

In the Print dialog click on Advanced and tick off the "Print to file" box.

  • Continued issues with printing from Windows laptop to Mac

I have an iMac running Tiger (10.4.8) with a Brother MFC-8640D attached via USB. The iMac is connected to a Linksys wireless router via Ethernet cable. I have two Windows laptops (Sony Vaio and Dell Inspiron), both running XP; they connect wirelessly to the Internet and to the iMac.
I used Bonjour for Windows to set up the Brother printer. Initially, I used the Windows driver, but my print jobs would show as completed but not actually print. Following the suggestions in several posts, I used the Apple Laserwriter PS driver. What happens now is that the print job stops and can't be restarted.
Can anyone tell me what I should try next? Someone mentioned setting up a "raw queue" on the Mac, but I don't know how to do that.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at this article

Also make sure you have set up your windows computer to share your printer. I have my mac mini printing wireless through my us robotics router on my windows xp printer. Print with it all the time, never had a problem.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro issues with printing and now updating  !!! :(

    hello
I had an issues with printing from my gmail account or from windows live mail

I made a restart... just in case... it did not change anything
as to the printing issue, in case some of you have met it and cleared it...(hope)
    this was with version 9.5.0
I get no error message but no pdf is created, only a text document with this :
    %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%

the font association problem is something recent though, since I used acrobat to print mails directly from my gmail account previously...
it's galling but I installed a free pdf printer which does the job, I needed copies of these mails urgently !
as to the update issue, I see no aum.exe, msiexec.exe or setup.exe running... but that's quite above my head... do I look for those exact processes or are they generic names for processes ?
does my question make sense ????

  • Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow with most recent upgrades of Firefox .Use an iMac and an HP officejet printer. Printer works fine with Safari and woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow since downloading most recent upgrades of Firefox Mozilla. I have a desktop iMac, OS 10.6.8, and an HP officejet printer 4500 G510n. The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

  • Why doesn't Preview print out my pdf forms as edited anymore?

A week ago, I was able to print out a pdf form  the way it was editted on the screen using Preview. As of Wednesday, it no longer prints what I have editted in Preview.  It prints the naked, empty form only. No edits.  I have Mountain Lion and am using an hp deskjet 6122.

Assuming that you're talking about printing from Adobe Reader for iPad or iPhone, you either (1) need an AirPrint-enabled printer, or (2) (for the iPad only), purchase a third party app like Printer Pro from Readdle.
    Here's a list of AirPrint-enabled printers:
A List of Printers with AirPrint (updated March 2013)
If you're talking about printing from Reader on your laptop or desktop computer, you're in the wrong forum.

  • What is up with printing from Disc. plus

Plus seems to have taken printing back to the dark ages. I have tried printing, printing to pdf (I have Adobe installed) and export to pdf and cannot seem to get a consistent ouput from the same worksheet.
    1. Printing. Print preview shows me a nicely formatted table, on one page, oriented in landscape. The actual print job produces a two page document with the table spread across the two pages. The first page is printed in portrait, the second in landscape and the title is only printed on the first page. The footer items do not show either.
    2. Export to pdf. Same as above. Plus seems to ignore all of the page setup information I give it (ie, Print in landscape, print title on every page, fit table to one page).
    3. Print to pdf. Same result as export to pdf.
Am I missing something, or is this tool just not designed for printing.

I sent in the TAR and I already got a response! This is a known bug, and there is a patch for it.
Here is part of the response I got:
There are some known issues while printing from a PC where hyperthreading is on.
Bug 4926890 - PLUS PRINT MISSING TITLES, HEADER; FOOTER ON HYPERTHREADED CLIENT PCS
Bug 4926873 - PLUS PRINT FIT TO PAGE DOES NOT WORK ON HYPERTHREADED CLIENT PCS
Bug 4631865 - DISCO PLUS WITH IE IN WINDOWS 2003 AS CLIENT HAS PAGE REFRESH ISSUES
The above issues are fixed and patch is available for this issue.
PLease upgrade to 10.1.2.48.18 by applying the ias patch1 and then apply the one-off Patch 4998045
4908436 Oracle Application Server Products Family: Patchset
PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR AS/DS 10.1.2.1 PATCHSET
Patch 4998044 - MERGE LABEL REQUEST ON TOP OF 10.1.2.0.2 FOR BUGS 4926890
    4926873 4631865
So you just need to write in and request the patch! I won't be able to patch it until next week, but the bug descriptions look promising, so I'm hopeful we'll get it fixed!

  • My wireless HP Deskjet 3050 printer will not print from web sites.

My HP Deskjet 3050 J610 printer will not print from web sites - it prints ok from WORD, etc. I keep getting the error message: "An unknown error occurred while printing." This problem only arises with Firefox browser.
The printer is connected wirelessly to a network and this occurs when I use a laptop on the network. It is also connected via cable to a desktop computer but there is no problem in printing from the desktop.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

That sounds as if you need to investigate to see if you were able to clear all of the paper that was causing the jam.
    Best regards,
    erico

  • When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", printer works on Internet Explorer

When I try to print from web page I get a dialogue box "Printer not activated - error code 30" followed by a dialogue box "An unknown error occurred while printing". The printer works on websites when I use Internet Explorer. Also, if I copy the web page and paste it into a Word document, I can print a copy. This issue just started this week; I have not encountered this problem prior to this week. Please advise.

What does that error message say?

  • Is there a way to delete one of several checkboxes from a pdf form without the leftover checkboxes automatically renumbering themselves?

Is there a way to delete one of several checkboxes from a pdf form without the leftover checkboxes automatically renumbering themselves?
I used LiveCycle Designer to make a pdf form with many checkboxes. When I deleted a few of the checkboxes the rest left on the form renumbered themselves. This made my JavaScript out of sync since the JavaScript checkbox numbers did NOT update automatically. I am hoping there is a preference option to not auto update. I just cannot find it,

I believe you're using the same name for each checkbox, right?!
If so, each checkbox has an index number which represents its position relative to the other copies in the XML tree and when you add, delete or reorder the copies the index will always be recreated because thats the way how XML works.
There is no way to stop Designer from doing this, I'm afraid.
To address individual objects through JavaScript you should use unique names.

  • "Text on a path" and "paths" rasterised when printed from a PDF on an iGen

I have just obtained from the printer the first proof of my book (printed on an iGen) and I'd like to find out where one of the problems lie. I'll ask the printer his opinion before second proof, but I don't like to annoy him unnecessarily.
One of the chapters in the book has a lot of maps. I drew rivers by stroking a path, and named the rivers using 'Text on a Path' so that the text follows the curve of the river. Some of the maps have a pale background image on a different layer. And this is where the problem seems to lie.
    1. Rivers (and their names) appear normal on a map WITHOUT a background. By 'normal' I mean they look sharp. When magnified they seem to have been drawn as vectors.
    2. On maps WITH a background layer, 'Text on a path' appears very chunky (as if it has been rasterised at about 300 dpi) and paths (the rivers) appear to have the jaggies. Horizontal text does not appear to be affected.
I can't be certain that (1) and (2) exactly define the problem, but it's as close as I can get at the moment.
When I opened the original PDF file from which the book was printed, no matter how much I enlarge it, all paths and 'type on a path' retain their smoothness. i.e they are obviously vectors. However, I noticed when I opened the PDF in Acrobat 7 and tried to edit the 'text on a path', the PDF went haywire: the text I tried to edit disappeared, and other text frames on the page were shifted around.
A sample PDF (6.7 MB, including an original two-page spread, and a scanned copy of the iGen print of the same), can be downloaded from:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?oe4omuzoqzz
    Two questions:
Q1: On the maps with a background image, is the rasterising of stroked paths, and 'text on a path' due to the iGen mishandling the file? Or might there be another explanation?
Q2: Re Acrobat 7 mishandling my 'text on a path': is this a bug that has been fixed in later versions of Acrobat?
To reproduce this bug do this: Open the PDF described above, and within Acrobat 7 select Tools > Advanced Editing > Touchup Text Tool. Then click inside the name "Georgina River", backspace to try and delete a letter, and the PDF should go haywire.

Sandee: Almost certainly below the text, but I'd have to check them all.
But before I do that, we'll have to go back a step. I can almost handle layers in InDesign, but didn't know they existed in PDFs. The printer printed from the PDF and as far as I can tell after a brief visit to HELP, there aren't any layers in the PDF. When I go to View > Navigation Tabs > Layers and click on the Layer Tab when it appears, there's nothing there; and all the items under Options are grayed.
Q1: Why do I need a layer in a PDF? By not having layers, can that cause problems?
Q2: Re Robert's suggestions: what do you mean by "move all the text to a top layer"? Within InDesign before I export to PDF?
Q3: Is printing more foolproof when I export to PDF, if all my text is on the one layer in InDesign and that layer is above any images? There are several hundred river names, place names etc, sitting on lower layers, but if need be I'll move them all.
