Issue with release of Invoice in closed financial period

Hi All,
A billing document was created in Nov-2006 & because of wrong data maintained in the billing document , it was not released for accounting. This wrong data was corrected in billing document in Jan-2008 & it was subsequently released from block stage using VFX3.
But system has released this document in Nov,2006. As the books of 2006 are closed, i would like to reverse this release & then release the invoice for Mar-2008, to ensure the books of 2006 are not impacted.
If there is any other way to resolve this, please let me know.

Thanks for the inputs, if i post a cancel invoice, i would like to know what will be the impact in terms of FI as the invoice is actually of 2006, so what all impacts would i need to be aware of?

Hi Dan,
you need to get into the posting period window & then reactivate the periods in question.
In 2007, go to Administration -> System Initialisation -> Posting periods
Click on the orange link arrow of the period to be reopened & then change the period status to the appropriate one.
Lower than version 2007, the posting periods are here:
Administration -> System Initialisation -> General Settings -> Posting Period tab.
Please check the on-line help for info about the period statuses.
Also, you need to keep in mind that if you add any postings to any of these periods, all reporting must be re-run.

Issue with Pricing in Invoice.

Hi,
I have one condition ZIST in my pricing. Whenever I create the invoice manually through VF01, all the items are showing up proper values of ZIST, however header is not showing the proper value (Header is showing the value which is suppose to be at the header minus correction value with respect to rounding off). But when I click on ACTIVATE button on the header pricing screen, system updates the correct value of ZIST.
If I dont click on activate button then Invoice gets saved with wrong ZIST value at the header.
I dont know how should I tackle this issue, Do I need to write a code somewhere to carru out the pricing again to update the right value of ZIST.

Actually in my case netwr value is correct and all the line items are also in good shape, problem is only with header level pricing, that too only one condition is showing wrong value and that needs ACTIVATE to click to get updated with correct value.
In my case its very diffucult to replicate the senario and the one example we have for testing is a huge invoice. Also my pricing procedure has many routines hooked to diffrent condition tyeps. Hence it would be tedious job to debug and see each and every routine from the pricing.
Still, I would try to do it. But I would appreciate if you can let me know what did your developer do wrong in the routines so that I would also concentrate on the same line.

Issues with Microsoft Word for mac closing when I try to open old or newly downloaded documents

When I download a document from my professor, or try to open an older document, my word automatically quits. If it's already closed and I try to open a document, it will show the dot at the bottom of the icon that it's loading to open but it quickly disappears and quits itself. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

Cancel 101 movement with Inspection lot of closed financial period

Hi experts,
we are having the following problem.
We have a 101 movement with creation of Inspection lot, which was done in a finance period which is already closed.
Now I have to cancel this movement, but I get the error M7021 with VOR, which means that I am not allowed to cancel it, because of the period is already closed.
But we also can not open the period.
Which possibilities do I have?
Maybe MI10 movement?

I am confused now.
Becasue normally I am logged on in german and now I did check the english one.
Deficit of BA St. in QI prev. 127 M2 : "material number" 0001 "sloc" "batch"
But here I get QI prev, but in the F1 help there is no QI or prev.
In german I get VOR and there in the F1 help it is written, that VOR is previous period (so I think equal to PR in english).
Now I am a bit confused.
But anyway, the thing is that we have to empty the stock.
Kind regards for every help, I think there is no possibility to cancel that booking as the period is closed.
@ Biju K, to be honest your way would really be the only correct way, but at the current situation it is a bit special.
I will do a MI10 booking.

Dynamic Credit Management - issue with released documents

Hi,
I have a problem concerning automatic credit check.
In my project we activated the option "Dynamic Credit Check" to check the customer credit exposure and also the open order value.
Everything is working perfect, and the system blocks when the conditions are not meet.
The problem is:
When the SO is blocked, and after beeing released, everytime we save that SO it triggers the credit check and put it blocked again.
Even with a simple output msg creation, or a change in a text field, triggers the credit check, and everytime we must to release the SO again.
In customizing I see that there are the parameter "Number of Days" in tab "Released Docs are Still Unchecked", however it seems that parameter has no any effect with "Dynamic Check" option.
Do you know if there is some way to avoid to do SO release again and again (after release first time)?

this is the standard SAP behavior, I mean when ever you are changing any thing in the sales order after releasing the Credit block which may again affect the credit, it will go into the credit Block again.....
And in your case also it might be the problem. So after releasing when you are saving the sales order, again Dynamic credit check is occurring and putting Sales order into block.
If you dont want this, then follow these
1. Go to VOFM :
2, Click on requirement --> credit check...
3. Write a suitable routine with the help of ABAPer for bypassing check on the things like, adding text, some small modification etc, but not for Quantity and Value
4. Assign this routine in OVA8 for credit group + risk category + credit group combination.

Macbook Pro 5,1 issue with shutting down when lid closed - sleep issue

Here is the issue I hope someone has seen and figured out the cause. This is on a Macbook Pro 5,1 (2.8 Ghz Unibody). This doesn't appear to be the random shutdown issue.
My issue is when on AC power and you close the lid the mac sleeps. The light will blink indicating its sleeping. But at random time frames it shuts down. You open the lid and have to power on from a cold boot. Now if you hit sleep from the apple menu then close the lid everything is fine, it will sleep until the lid is opened. So its only when the lid is closed. And its random, sometimes it will stay in sleep mode for a few minutes or hours. But at some random point it will shutdown.
Any thoughts???

Anyone having issues with iPad2 screen opening and closing like crazy on it's own?

My iPad2 screen just started opening & closing on it's own like crazy. Like it has a mind of it's own. Driving me insane. Just typing this out will take me over two mins. Anyone know how to fix this??

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off".

Issue with Parameterized Popup

Hi,
I have created a parameterized popup which gets opened on click of an image. Opening the popup is working fine but custom close button (not the X icon) is not working. I have added javascript:closeit() as the destination URI of the button but nothing happens when I click the button. I also tried adding a javascript function for closing the window and put a PPR on the button to forward to the current page and execute the java script but no luck :-( Issue with using X button for closing the popup is - the control is still in the popup processformrequest afer I close the wondow using X. Whatever action I perform on the base page is yielding no results/undesired results. That's why I wanted a custom close button so that I can direct the control back to the calling page.
Please advise.
My requirement is to have 2 buttons on the popup region (save and close). On click on save, data should be saved and the calling (base) page should get refreshed and close should just close the popup and bring the control back to the base page. I have a standalone region created with desired fields and buttons and this region is added to the region popup.
Can anyone please help me with this?

You can handle user interactions for embedded and parameterized pop-ups as follows:
All-Submit - Configure buttons on an embedded pop-up to submit the pop-up data and the base page data together. The pop-up closes and the base page submits after this event.
Self-PPR - Define partial page refresh events on the pop-up to refresh the pop-up window alone. The pop-up remains displayed after a self-PPR event.
Page-PPR - Define partial page refresh events on the pop-up to refresh the base page items. The popup closes after a page-PPR event.
I didn't understand completely as what are the differences and how we can enable these actions on popup. I am thinking of Page-PPR which might work for my requirement but I am not sure how to enable this. Is this same as enabling a PPR on a item on the popup region.

Issue with range number at VF02 when releasing to accounting

Hi Gurus,
We have an issue with the number range at VF02 when releasing the invoice to accounting.
Error message is "For object RF_BELEG E178, number range interval 6A does not exist FBN1"
But when entering tx-FB1N for Company code E178 , it is not clear where range interval 6A is set for number range assignment.
Where is the range interval entered in sales so accounting document is generated?

you can do it in FBN1 also.

Issue with blocked invoices.

Hi All,
I am having an issue with few of our invoices are not releasing for payment.
Couple of them I noticed were due in June or July but were notpaid. These invoices were blocked due to price variance. Someone went and changed the price in P.O so the difference is within tolerance now. It should be released once 'MRBR' runs in batch everyday. but it's not.I dont see any reason it should be blocked now.
I know I can release it manually but we dont know how many are behaving this way.How should I find the reason why they are not getting released by MRBR.

There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not be apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
3. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
4. Reset the System Management Controller.
5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
6. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
7. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.

Issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management

I am having some issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management. ODI and Financial management are setup on different machines.
The ‘Cluster(Data Server)’ name in Topology is given as ‘hfm03cl’. On reverse-engineering a model it gives the following error:

When HFM is installed on the same machine, it works fine. How does ODI identify a cluster on a different machine? Do I have to give the machine name along with the cluster name? If so, what is the format?

You will need to have the HFM client installed on any machine that will be running ODI (i.e. Designer or Agent) that will be executing connections to an HFM server.
Once you have the HFM client installed, see if you can actually connect to HFM from that machine using the HFM client.
Couple of other thing, in the Physical Schema, have you set the Application Catalog and Work Catalog to the same HFM application?
Also, when you are reversing, are you using the local agent or one you have installed using agentservice?

Issue with opening and closing 13 inch MBP

I recently received a 13 inch 8gb memory Macbook pro for educational purposes. Although I believe it is overall a great product, I have noticed an issue pertaining to opening and closing the device. Occasionally when I attempt to open the device, I notice that the black mechanism which attaches the display and keyboard together fails, or locks up in an unusual manner which prevents me from opening the device fully. This causes me to have to close the device, and open it once more. Although it doesn't appear to be a huge issue, I was wondering if this should be something of concern, or something that is common and is nothing to be worried about.

Although this isn't something that I've personally seen before, I probably wouldn't be too concerned if it doesn't look like anything is actually broken - assuming that it didn't cause issues with using the device, that is.
What might be a good idea, though, is if you have a few minutes and have an ARS nearby, is to make a Genius Bar appointment and let Apple take a quick look at it. It looks like some piece of mind is all you want, and given the scenario, having someone physically able to see/feel the issue is probably your best bet. The appointments are 15 minutes, and free of charge. You can make an appointment here.

Issue with PO Release strategy

Hi experts,
I have problem with Po release strategy in 5 to 10 purchase orders, i have created few purchase orders(2000 Po's) with same document type and company code ..etc and saved, then release strategy has been triggered.
For few purhcase orders release strategy has not been triggered.
If i take 1 po from that few purchase orders(Release strategy has not triggered) as reference and again if i create PO,new purchase order have getting created with release strategy.
Can some body tel how this ican be possible, hope this might be standard syatem behaviour.
Hope i should delete thos e purchase orders and i should create new PO's instead of of old PO's (Without release strategy).
Some experts can share their experiance in this regard.
And how i should proceed further with this issue.??

You issue in your system has 2000Nou2019s purchase orders with release strategy has been triggered but 5 to 10 purchase orders do have release strategy.
& when you are creating a new PO with reference to old purchase orders (which release strategy has not triggered) and on saving NEW PO created with triggering release strategy.
Cause for above:
PO which release strategy does not trigger because the purchase orders are created before setting release strategy for PO. Those PO triggered release strategy and all are created after setting release strategy for PO.
Action:
Its completely business call for business users to go for options:
Option-- >1# You can use same old PO which release strategy does not triggered, do GR and all other process
Option-- >2# You can create new PO with reference old PO which release strategy does not triggered and upon saving you will have new PO number with release strategy triggered, then release PO & do GR and other related process.
