Issue with rendering ProRes back to Premiere

I'm rebuilding my workflow since upgrading to CS 6, and am running into a problem with the files generated by Speedgrade. Running on MBP with most up-to-date software (Adobe + Apple), ProRes codecs installed via Apple Compressor.
The workflow I'm trying to make work is: Shoot on Sony EX3, ingest media via Prelude and Transcode to ProRes 422 LT. Grade dailies in SG, export as individual clips to ProRes 422, import into PR for editing, export EDL, back to SG for final grading, back to PR for audio and final render.
It's all good until I render the dailies from SG. It generates the files and I import them into PR. The clips import fine, but when scrubbing through the image freezes up in PR, both in source monitor and program monitor. When I import the transcoded files (pre-SG) of the footage, they work just fine. So it's not the footage, and it's not the codecs since they were used for the transcoding as well. It must be something in how the output settings in SG and the codec interact.
I set the filename to src.filename.graded to get individual files, and I noticed that if I look at the files in Finder, the video duration is bogus. They all have the same duration and longer than the actual clip. Have to check, but may be the duration of the in/out points of the export, rather than the source clip.
If I render the entire grade as a single intermediate file it works fine (apparently at least). But now I've lost the clip structure, so that's not helpful.
I've tried all kinds of different variations of settings - render timeline track on/off, strip alpha channel on/off, include audio on/off, etc etc. But no combination seems to work.
Any thoughts?
I'd rather not have to render each clip separately....
EDIT #1:
Well it gets weirder. I did spend the time to render clips indpendently, and that seems to have improved somewhat, but it's still not entirely working.
One clip in particular is giving me grief still: In the transcoded file (which is playing fine) the clip is 4:02 (=98 frames) long. Also properly displays in the source monitor at 0:0:4:2 in PR. The same clip is 4:02 long in the SG timeline, and upon export it says that it exported 98 frames. Yet, the resulting file imports into PR as 4:11. And incidentally right at 4:02 is where the image freezes up. So the content is fine, except that the SG export added some 9 phantom frames to the file.
So I guess exporting clips individually and trimming their end to reflect actual length may keep me moving. But that ain't right. Will report back if I find out more about this export issue.

Manuel - Yes, they do. In at least one of my tries I disabled audio in the output preset, but I haven't tried it with clips that had audio stripped from them. I'll go ahead and try that.
This does get into an issue of the workflow I haven't totally resolved yet, so I could avoid keeping audio with the clips. If I apply the initial grade and then only export proxies for editing, when the EDL is re-imported, how does one keep the adjustments form the initial grade with each clip before adding the final grading? In lieu of having an answer for that I was exporting the dailies at full quality so I could reconnect them with the EDL and then render the final output. Maybe this should be a separate discussion...

  • Flickering Issue with RGB Curves in Adobe Premiere CC (2014) version

I've been an Adobe Premiere user since Premiere 6.5 and have never encountered any serious issues with the software. However in this most recent Creative Cloud update I am have a flickering issue when using RGB Curves, the color correction effect I use most often. When the effect is applied, there seems to be a shift in the shadows between a "crushed" black and a "flat, or faded" black every other frame. I've been using this latest update for about a week and haven't had any other issues aside from this one.
Unfortunately this is huge issue at the moment due to a deadline I am facing in which RGB Curves has been used as the primary color correction tool on the entire project (multiple episodes). I would simply revert to a previous version of CC but I know that the new updates are never backwards compatible. Since the project has been saved in the CC (2014) update, reverting to previous software versions would be impossible. I am currently exploring exporting the XML from the CC (2014) projects and importing it into a previous version of the software.
Please let me know if anyone out there is experiencing any similar issues or if there are any suggestions on how to solve this issue. Thanks!

I am experiencing flickering issues as well. However my issues are with the Fast Color Corrector and the Three Way Color Corrector. It seems as if the color correction tools are causing intermittent flickering on some people's systems.
Additionally when I converted some old PPCC 7.2.2 projects which had the Three Way Color Corrector applied, some clips in sequences would come up as a green screen in the program monitor. If I turned the TWCC off the footage would display correctly in the program window. If I turn the TWCC back on it would display the green screen again.
I haven't found a solution to the flickering but to solve the green screen issue I have to remove the effect, then re apply it. I guess for whatever reason, the 2014 version of PP has issues with 7.2.2 projects where the TWCC was applied.
I'm hoping Adobe will address this soon with an update for the various bugs that have been reported.

  • FCE Issues With Rendering

Problems With Final Cut Express or is it Quicktime
    6/11/2006
This document describes the problems I had with rendering movies in Final Cut Express. The version of FCE is 2.03 but the problem doesn’t seem to be restricted to this software.
Since I have done a fair amount of testing let me describe the two systems I have been using for testing.
    System-1 (Original)
    Dual 1 GHz PowerPC G4
    2 MB L3 Cache
    1.5 MB SDRAM
    Panther 10.3.9
QT 6.5.1 (All other system updates applied but not QT)
    System-2 (Borrowed)
    Dual 2 GHz Powerpc G5
    3 GB DDR SDRAM
    Tiger 10.4.6
QT 7.0.0 (All other system updates applied but not QT)
What is it that I have been doing? I have a Replay TV box which I occasionally download video’s from and then edit out commercials and put on DVD. The following process is used.
I download the video’s as MPEG2 files from the Replay using DVArchive 3.1. I then run the saved file through either DropDV or Streamclip 1.7 and convert to DV. The resulting files have the video and audio split.
I load these files into FCE and do an immediate render. Unfortunately I never paid much attention to the render time before. I just started them and walked away. More on this in a minute.
When the render is done I edit out the commercials and export the video to a self contained QT file. I then use IDVD to burn a DVD when I have enough video’s completed.
In the cases here I am using 30 minute shows.
System-1 has been running Panther and at some point I found I could no longer render videos without getting a Malloc Error when trying to save the files after they were supposedly rendered. After rendering the render line did not change to gray so my assumption was they never rendered at all. When starting the rendering the program said the render would take approximately 29 minutes. About half way through the process the progress bar would accelerate so the total time to render usually became 4 minutes.
After trying several things I decided to go back and start fresh. I installed Panther on a different drive as a clean install and let software update give me all the updates. That did not fix a thing. After trying numerous things I borrowed another system. It had a clean install of Tiger with all the updates. Same issue.
I went back to System-1 and did another clean install but this time I did Panther. I had been reading responses on Apple’s forums and even though my exact problem was not listed the common thread seemed to be Quicktime.
I let the Panther update install everything except the QT updates. Now a 30 minute render took 4 minutes and worked flawlessly.
Using this knowledge I did a new clean install of Tiger on System-2. I did all the updates except QT. The system as installed ended up with QT 7.0.0.
Using the very same movie I tried the render in FCE. This time it worked but the time to render was 29 minutes. Interesting since System-2 is a G5 with 3 GB of RAM.
I am reluctant to go back to System-1 and let it install only QT 7.0.0 as it will only succeed in making my render times much longer. Letting it go past 7.0.0 just breaks it altogether.
Apple has put up at least two fixes for QT 7, but neither one solves my issue and I expect after reading all the forum complaints doesn’t solve anyone else’s issues either.
I had a tough time trying to resolve this as I was using 3 different programs and felt anyone could be causing the problem. As it stands it appears it’s Apple. DVArchive, Streamclip and DropDV do their thing and it appears they do it right.
As a final test I loaded Streamclip and DVArchive on the G5. I used DVArchive to download a video, this time using a full hour. I put that file through Streamclip and then into FCE. The result was a render time of an hour (56 minutes in reality) so the problem is in QT.
My final test was to let QT update on the G5 and after that happened I’m back to no rendering at all and getting Malloc Errors.
    Thanks for listening.

The Malloc error seems to be a ram error but I have checked and checked and checked.
The issue is I cannot render at all if I run any version of QT above 7.0.0 and that includes under Tiger.
The other issue is render times went from 4 minutes after editing to 29 minutes on a 30 minute show.
If I try to render a file in FCE it starts by telling me that it will take 29 minutes. About half way through the render it accelerate and finishes in 1 or two minutes. But it isn't rendered. The red line never goes away. If you look at the original post I have gotten it down to the version of QT that gets installed or updated. With Tiger and the basic install version right off the DVD the render works but takes 29 minutes. Allowing Software Update to go any higher with QT completely breaks the render process.
I had a friend of mine try the same thing and he gets the same results.

  • Issue with live playback while editing - Premiere Elements 10

Hi there, It's been a while since I used Premiere, and decided that I would make a video. I've copied all of the media across and started editing the clip. I dragged the first clip onto the timeline and clicked the play button so I could find where I wanted to make the first cut. And there was no video, just a still frame from where the marker was. If I click the live playback area, it pauses the video and updates the still. I have tried updating the software to see if it was a bug that had been patched, but it's still there. I've never had this issue before, and would appreciate any help you guys could lend.
    Thanks in advance,
    -Chris.

I'm working with mp4 files from my gopro.

I've been reading this with interest because I'm having the same issue since updating the nVidia drivers at the end of November.  There is a conflict that is NOT resolved by completely uninstalling and rolling the drivers back.
Previews just will not display in the monitor in Adobe Premiere Elements 11. Audio is fine.
Clicking on the monitor window allows me to view the frame, and I can advance the frames one at a time and view them, but when I select 'Play' I just get a blank screen.
NOTE: SAME FILE AND SOFTWARE work fine on roommate's GTX550 with nVidia drivers from Jan 18 2013.

  • Having issues with longMessage and back button usage

    Hello,
I have part of an app that consists of 2 pages. The first page is a set of checkboxes and an Analyze (submit) button. when the user hits Analyze, I commit the transaction and forward to the second page which displays the checkboxes they checked and some other information regarding those choices. If a user wants to change their answers, they use the browser's back button and change their choices, then click Analyze again. This is working fine.
I now want to add a longMessage to each checkbox above with some additional information about each choice. I've setup these up and they work fine; the dialog box launches just fine when they click the little (i) icon.
So that's the status quo; here's my problem:
    Scenario
    1. User clicks one of the longMessage icons
    2. clears that box by clicking OK
    3. then hits Analyze to progress to the second page
    4. now user hits browser's Back button to go back to questions
    5. PROBLEM
At this point, all my checkboxes are blank. If I try to re-check one and hit Analyze, I get an error stating "No current row for View (XXXLProcNavVO1)"
If I don't ever click a longMessage icon, everything works fine. I can only replicate this if I follow the exact steps in the scenario.
So what is wrong? Why am I losing my current row in my VO when I use the longMessage?
I've included my CO from page 1 for reference below.
    Thanks!

  • Issues with replacing a clip in premiere with After Effects composition

So basically, i want to track a title to a piece of footage, so i've made my ins and outs and my footage is placed on my timeline in premiere with my title over top. Now I select the two pieces in premiere (the title and the clip) and I hit replace with after effects composition, and it ADOBE does it's thing etc.
but now in my AE project window I have two copies of my title file and two copies of my mp4 clip.
two of them are pre loaded into my timeline and the appropriate ins/outs which is perfect but I can't seem to do anything like tracking to them,
in my project window AE is referring to the ones that show up in the timeline as "compositions" while the extra files that aren't in the timeline are "mp4" and "psd" (the actual file types)
now. if i just delete the two "compositions" that are masquerading as files in my timeline and drag down my mp4 / psd then my tracking becomes available and all is wonderful
    EXCEPT
my in's and out's from premiere aren't there and I have to go about all of that all over again and it's very annoying
    any ideas?

    Mat,
I'm sure you've figured it out.
I don't know how you got two separate source clips - you should have a sequence (comp) and the footage in the project window (bin window) for each  In your comp, the tracking can be done by selecting the layer in that comp.
And - you've probably already figured it out that you needed those comps so they could dynamically link back to PremierePro easily.
If you have any Ae/Pr questions - I'm going to try to be in this forum more.  I love this stuff.

  • Issues with time capsule back ups when external hard drive is connected/not connected

I have a 2TB Airport Time Capsule (ATC) (tall tower type) purchased a few weeks ago and initially wanted it to back up a Seagate FreeAgent 500Gb external drive (formatted extended journalled) as well as three Macbook Pros.  The Seagate has a single partition called Lib and is not used for Timemachine backup; it just contains my iTunes library and lots of scanned and archived documents.  I want the Lib folder to be accessible to all three Mac users in the house and I've set up all of the Macs to connect and back up to the ATT.  They can all see the 'Lib' folder when it is connected to the ATC.
After a bit of searching on the discussion boards I realise that the ATC will not back up 'Lib' when the Seagate is connected by USB directly and that ATT will back it up if it is connect to my Mac and set not to exclude Lib  BUT I am encountering some problems with this scenario when I activate time machine.
When I disconnect the Seagate by using 'disconnect' in the ATC viewer in Finder I shut down the drive before disconnecting the usb and reconnecting to the Macbook Pro just as a precaution.  When i connect and then activate back up using Time Machine selecting the ATC data folder, it is showing no previous back ups and never backed up.  When I had the Seagate connected to the ATT I was seeing back ups as far as 6th May when I bought the ATC.  I know that the Time Machine backups are not on the Seagate as I had to reformat it a few days ago and use Data Rescue 3 when I lost the ability to see any files on it after disconnecting it from the ATC.    I saw the 6th May backups in Time Machine before I disconnected the Seagate a few minutes ago so they must be on the ATC - just not showing after the Seagate was disconnected.
Can anyone talk me through what may be happening here and advise on the best way of managing this.  I'm already planning to buy another external drive as the Seagate is getting a bit old now and I realise I should have secondary back up.  I should just say that the reason for bothering with the shared external drive is so that we can all access the photos and household files over the wireless network using ATT.  I would just like it to be backed up with minimal fuss if possible.
Many thanks in anticipation of some help with this
    I

I would fix the problem by simply installing a more flexible backup software. Carbon Copy Cloner costs US40. And it is licensed so you can load it on all the computers in your house.
It can backup the external drive while connected to the TC, although if you are using wireless it will be sure slow.
Including the external drive in your backup with TM, is just messy. It will work.. and although you are not seeing the previous backups, they are there.. but TM cannot see them until it reconnects with the external drive in place.  Once it reconnects it will need to deep scan the previous backup.. you are going to find a simple backup takes far longer than you want. It is also difficult to recover from.
    See Q5 here http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
And several other comments in Pondini's KB will be helpful to understand. Sadly the guy who wrote it died before Mavericks came on the scene.. but it has more bugs than ever. TM has become less reliable for a lot of people.. and that is not doing any swapping of disks.
TM is honestly great for simple backups of your OS and particularly for incrementals but getting a clone of the disk like your external is far better for your setup.

  • Issue with Safari's back-button, swipe, and scrolling

After installing the recent security and iTunes update (12.0.1) I installed this morning, I've noticed that Safari's back-button, back mouse-swipe, and mouse scrolling will stop working on occasion. When this happens I can open a new tab or restart the browser and things are OK for a while. Safari's keyboard controls continue work when this happens. Mouse controls in other apps are fine.
    I'm running:
    - OS X 10.9.5 (13F34)
    - MacBook Pro, 13-inch, Early 2011
    Any ideas?

The site you visited (with the trailer in it) uses a redirect script. When you hit the "Back" button, you are going back to the redirect page, which then redirects you back to the trailer, lol! What you want to do is to press and hold down the "Back" button, then go back two (sometimes more) pages and avoid the redirect.
It's a common occurrence on many sites. It's not a Safari glitch. I agree it is annoying.

  • Issues with rendering shadows and gradients in Android folios

Does anyone have experience or solutions as to how to fix a problem with gradient feathers, transparency and drop shadows in Android renditions/folios?
In the iPad rendition (1024x768), there are several scrollable frames, multi-state objects etc. with transparencies and gradients. When this is viewed on Android devices, whether the iPad rendition or Android specific renditions, it renders the transparencies, gradients and drop shadows as a white tone and isn't rich in any way.
Is this a known problem or is there a way around this?

    Hi Dave,
    Here's the screenshots for you.
    iOS
    Nexus 7
    Samsung Galaxy Tab
On this one in particular, it's the gradient feather on the bottom (they are scrollable frames), and the 'i' and 'contents' buttons in the top right.

  • Issue with Dynamic Link with Premiere CC and After Effects

I'm having a strange and annoying issue with Dynamic linked clips in Premiere CC:
When I render or export my timeline the progress will stall when it hits a dynamic linked clip.  It will stay stalled until I click the After Effects application and make it the active window.  Once that happens the render/export resumes at normal speed.
This is annoying as I can't start a render and walk away or work on different windows, I have to babysit all the renders to make sure they go through.
Has anybody experienced this and know of any solutions?
I'm running the latest version of Premiere (7.2.1) and After Effects 12.2.0.52 on Mavericks 10.9.1 with a GTX 770 Video Card.

Does it still pause if AE is closed completely? I often experience slower AME renders from Premiere over dynamic link material when AE is open. Closing AE speeds things up. Go figure.

  • Issues with interlaced H.264 playback inside of Premiere

I recently recorded a live event with the Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder and I'm having some issues with the video inside of Premiere Pro CC 2014. I recorded it in 1080i which was the output of the camera. The video files play fine in quicktime, VLC, etc. Once I pull them into premiere, or any adobe software, I have all kinds of issues. Once in a timeline, the audio plays fine(works as it should the whole time), and at first the video looks fine, but after about 15 seconds the video will skip to a random part of the file. After the initial playback anytime I play it after that the audio and video are no where close to being in sync with each other. When I scrub to go somewhere else in the timeline I get the same thing. When I've recorded progressive sources in the past with the Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder I  have never have this issue, just with interlaced. Doesn't matter what the resolution is. I created the timeline from the video source like I do with most of my videos so I don't think the problem lies within the sequence settings. I work with interlaced files in the ProRes format on a weekly basis and never have this issue. I can't say that I have ever worked with any interlaced h.264 files except the ones I've created with the Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder so I'm not sure is the problem is coming from premiere or the capture device.

A camera that doesn't record?  Strange.
You might try conversion.  I've used a couple of programs to convert my non-standard stuff to something PP could work with.  Both are safe to install on a production rig.

  • Issues with video rendering

I just wanted to mention, I love having the ability to edit video in my paint program!
But to get straight to the point, I am have some issues with rendering video. Let's say I add a white fade on a video that I am currently working on. The issue about that is that the video once it's finish rendering will not display the white fade transition within the video, it will just do a hard cut transition and it drives me crazy. It also has some other issues while I am adding effects that don't appear in the final footage. am I exporting my video in the wrong format?  I usually export in WMV, or MOV, but I am willing to change that.
~Thank you in advaced for any assistance given about this small issue.

Other than what Mylenium suggests, there isn't a whole lot else we can do.  It is a very unwise thing to jump into using AE without introducing yourself to the basics, because the application contains too many ways to foil the uninitiated.  Furthermore, since you don't know the arcane AE lingo, there are also translation issues to deal with.
Almost NO ONE successfully learns AE intuitively.  Those who are successful have last names that begin with the letters "ein" and end with "stein".  Almost EVERYONE has to start with the basics.  Here is a very good introduction to the basics.
Fight the temptation to jump right into AE.  You do so at your peril.

  • Wacom Tablet Issues with LR 5.6

Ever since I upgrade to LR 5.6, I'm having problems with my wacom tablet (intuos 5 wireless small).  When I use the TAT, as I move up and down the slider moves a couple of numbers and them stops.  If I use my blue tooth mouse, it works just fine.  Also, if I go up to the Histogram and click and drag, nothing at all happens using the tablet, but works just fine with blue tooth mouse.  There are a lot of other issues with rendering and unstable pen action.  I have no issues with the tablet in Photoshop CC - 2014 ACR or any other programs.  It's definitely tied to LR 5.6.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.  Oh, I have uninstalled and re-installed and have the same problem.
    Dennis

I downloaded the driver at Wacom Europe GmbH - Support - Treiber  ran it without the tablet being connected, than plugged in the Intous again. Immediately a new USB-recognition/installation process started (but all customizations were preserved).
That was all. I am not a nerd, just a normal user, so nothing special to report. It just worked out fine.

  • Any Invalid Serial Number Installation Issue With PSE 12 - PE 12 Windows or Mac ?

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5711110#5711110
Today I went from Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 tryouts to the purchased boxed versions that came with two installation discs. One of the discs was for Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 Windows and the other for these versions on Mac.
On Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit desktop computer, I was hit with Invalid Serial Number for the installation of Photoshop Elements 12 which I did first. Tried 4X, double and triple checking to make sure this was not "user error". It was not. On the 5th try, the purchased serial number was accepted and the installation went to a successful completion.
Tonight a friend alerted me to reports of similar happening for a lot of Photoshop Elements 12 Mac users. See the link posted at the top of my post.
At no time did I see this problem with Premiere Elements 12 installation from the same disc as for Photoshop Elements 12 installation.
Afterward, I installed these programs with the same installation disc on my laptop computer Windows 8 64 bit, I did not have any problems with either installation.
At this time, I do not know if this Invalid Serial Number is elusive to Photoshop Elements 12 or not.
If anyone is experiencing this problem with Premiere Elements, please let us know.
From the link above, it would appear that Adobe is working on the issue.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.
In my case, I had the network firewalls and anti-virus disabled when I did the installs of Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit as well as Windows 8 64 bit.
I was fortunate in that a 5th try of the serial number entry for the Photoshop Elements 12 install on Windows 7 64 bit was successful, so I did not have to do the computer restart and retry of the install with the purchased serial number. But, good to keep in mind, just in case.
It is ironic...last time around I got caught up in the Shared Technologies issues with Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 8 64 bit, not Windows 7 64 bit. But, in that case, I did find my way eventually to a successful install on Windows 8 64 bit. This time around it was Windows 7 64 bit where the glitch occurred, but, for me, only for Photoshop Elements 12.
But, could you clarify...are you generalizing that Photoshop Elements 12 Mac Invalid Serial Number is due to server issues and Invalid Serial Number encountered by Photoshop Elements 12 Windows is  "online - due to some firewall or network issues"?
Just getting prepared for if and when more questions on Invalid Serial Number might pop up in this forum.
    Thanks.

  • Issue with ProRes importing into Premiere CC in Windows

    Hey all,
I realize the futility of using ProRes in a Windows environment, so I figured I'd just get that out of the way right off the bat.  This is how I received the footage from the client and it's too much to try and convert into another codec (though if I must, I will, I'd just like to avoid it).  Even so, I didn't really have an issue with this until I tried to work in CC.
I started this project in Premiere CS5 and was having no issues.  I received some AE files in CC and decided I'd bite the bullet and move to the latest and greatest rather than try and rebuild the projects in CS5.  I download, install, update, open up Premiere to rebuild the short edit, and then find that when I import ProRes files, all I get is audio, no video.  I can import other codecs just fine, it's just ProRes that's refusing.
I've made sure Quicktime and the Windows QT Decoder for ProRes are updated, as well as Premiere CC.  I've currently got all my work files bundled up on a drive to take to my 9 to 5 and work on a Mac on my lunch break, but for obvious reasons, I'd like to be able to work at home.
This client doesn't provide enough work to warrant a new Mac purchase, and I'm just at wit's end.  It worked fine in CS5, why not in CC?
    Here's my specs:
    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
    Premiere Pro CC 7.0.1
    Quicktime (fully updated)
Quicktime ProRes Decoder for Windows (fully updated)
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Have you seen the WARNING here: Balanced Systems.
The warning about Quicktime makes sense.  I was aware that Quicktime 7 has never been updated to 64-bit, but the obvious 4GB RAM limitation had never occured to me.  Makes sense. I have a very decent machine, yet all of my Canon DSLR and GoPro projects are more cumbersome to edit than even AVCHD files.  I've spent a little time thinking it over and running some side-by-side tests.  MOV vs. AVI (same video) Editing, scrubbing, playback—all while running Task Manager on top.  But I didn't need task manager to tell me that the AVI plays back, layers and layers, smooth as butter.  The .MOV footage struggled to keep up with my random access cuts to different locations within the same video file.

most sane PC users would NEVER install QuickTime...
So now I'm fascinated.  So many questions:  Why do so many cameras create .MOV or .MP4 files that require QuickTime components?  64-bit QuickTime X has aparently been available on the Mac for quite a while, yet I presume they won't allow anyone else to develop a 64-bit codec for Windows, so why hasn't someone sued Apple for monopoly, anti-trust, conflict-of-interest, etc?  And most importantly, how would a sane PC user go about editing MOV and MP4 files without going insane transcoding hours of footage?
