Issue with SAP adapter

Hello Experts,
I am facing issue while sending multiple items to sales order BAPI. I have tested from the adapter xml seems to be correct but it throws an exception for multiple line item number.
Do I need apply any fix? Please help in a critical situation.

Also please check below.
1. Java messaging system queues are free or hanged ?
2. Please mention time out paramter in the channel.
3. Did you try Start/Stop the channel.

Hi,
New SP was released in February, and now most of the new bugs should been caught ,This has a Central Note. For SP06 it's Note 1527325 - Planning and Consolidation 7.5 SP06 NetWeaver Central Note to fix any issues. Most of the improvements in SP06 were related to performance, especially when logging on from the BPC clients.There you should be able to find a big list of fixes/improvements and Notes that describe those. Some of the Notes even have test description how to reproduce that issue in the old version.

Issue with Apps adapter for Create_Cust_Account API

I need to invoke this package from apps adapter in BPEL(10.1.3.5).
Create Customer: HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_V2PUB. create_cust_account. This is a Over loaded procedure. Look for the Procedure with these Parameters.

But I’m getting the following error,
An error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method
· I’ve tried with Database adapter. But in the runtime I’m not able to pass oracle apps initialization parameter in spite of using transaction and idempotent property in partnerlink.
· Then I’ve tried to invoke fnd_global.apps_initialize first then call the package from database adapter, but it fails again, apparently its not able to execute both DBadapter in same database session although they are in same BPEL transaction.
When I’m passing the initialization parameters in adapter created wrapper procedure then its working fine and customer got created.
Please let me know where I’m going wrong or issue with apps adapter.

I'm able to execute the BPEL flows using DB adapter in same session and customer got created.
But I'm wondering why I cant invoke the API using Apps adapter though its standard one.
wsdl file is not getting generated as the adapter wizard not get completed.
Do u have any idea why its giving ' error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method' error?should I conclude that apps adapter does not support overloaded procedure.

Issue with DB Adapter involving multiple tables

Am facing an issue with DB Adapter with multiple tables. Here are the details.
I have 4 tables. Header, Details,Products and Devices. The relationship is defined as follows:
Header has 1:M relationship with Details.
Details has 1:M relationship with Products.
Products has 1:M relationship with Devices.
I want to select the details from all the tables for a particular header_id and detail_id. Defined 2 parameters and query is created with parameters.

I expect the DB Adapter to retrieve the records for the parameters passed. i.e only those records from details table which matches with the parameter I passes in (t1.EDF_SERIAL_TYPE = #prod_type) . But I see that the DB Adapter retrieves all records from the details table for a particular unique_sequence_number(unique_sequence_number is primary key for headers table and foreign key for details table). Could you pls tell me how can I retrieve only selected records from the details table?

Yes. When I run this query in DB, I get one record . While defining DB Adapter, I have imported 4 tables and also defined the relationship between the tables. In my case, column unique sequence number is primary key of headers table and foreign key of details table.The above select query is generated by the DB Adapter for the parameters I have passed in.
My data is as follows:
Headers table:
file_name uniq_seq_num
file_1.xml 220
Details table
product_id unique seq num edf_prod_type
111 220 A
112 220 B
113 220
Now, I call DB Adapter with parameters 'file_1.xml' (file_name)and 'A'(prod_type). I expect the DB adapter to retrieve only one record with product_id 111 in the detailscollection. But I see that the adapter retrieves all records from the details table without considering the value of prod_type.

After executing a BW worksheet and then "Selecting Filter Value" on a free Characteristic, The "Select Filter Value" Window pops up, but when you add or remove a characteristic it pops back to its original position. If you try a second time, the characteristic will stay, but when you click "OK" to re-execute the report the "Select Filter Value"Window does not close.
When you try to close the "Select Filter Value" Window, Excel error out and shuts down

Have you looked at OSS Notes. This may just be a 3.5 Analyzer ith a BI 70 server issue, or did this only begin to happen with a upgrade to e 7.10 gui?
The whole area of filters and variables with 3.5 Analyzer with BI 7.0 server has been shaky, so I'd look for Notes before I go down any reinstallion path.

Alignmnet Issues with SAP Script

Hi All i have an issue with SAP script i have few columns in the script where in the values in the column changes dynamically.For example the value of second column in the first row can be 5 characters and the value of the same in the 2nd row can be of 10 characters and it keeps varying for every row but the max length of it would be 20 characters.
Now the issues is with the second column as the text in this column keep varying the text in the same row after the second column keep moving either towards right or towards left depending on the text in the second column,Can any one help me as how can i fix this issue.

Issue with SAP PI FTP Adapter

Hi All,
We are seeing an issue with the FTP Adapter Communication Channel in SAP PI 7.1. When the communication channel is connecting to a FTP Server and if the connection request timeout ( ex: SFTP Server down ) we see a connection error .
However the overall communciation channel status doesnot refelct it and it is still in GREEN status. The status being wrong doesnt raise an adapter CCMS alert. Also we are seeing that the communication channel stops all connection attempts after the failure for that communication channel.
Wanted to check if anyone has seen or encountered the issue and how did you get past the problem.

XA Trasaction issue with SAP JCA Adapter

Using OSB 10gR3
We have a proxy picking messages from a JMX queue using an XA enabled connection factory (the default weblogic XA connection factory). Proxy service calls a business service which is based on the SAP JCA WSDL and posts an IDOC to SAP system. A Route to node with Routing option Quality of service set as Exactly Once is used to ensure a rollback in case of errors on SAP processing. (Also tried with a service callout in request pipeline to achieve the same result).
Here are the issues we are facing
1. If the the SAP Outbound connection on iwafjca resource adapter is set as Local Transaction
When testing from console the service runs fine. When message is sent from JMS queue we get an error "Transaction already exists". This seems correct as SAP Adapter will try to create a new transaction which will be possible while running from console while when Global transaction is created by JMS queue (when Proxy picked up message from XA enabled queue) SAP Adapter will not be able to create a separate transaction being not a part of XA.
2. If SAP Outbound connection on iwafjca resource adapter is set as XA Transaction
Even the business service when tested directly from console fails in this scenario. The error we get is "XA transaction not supported by JCA adapter".
Any idea how to make the SAP JCA Adapter call a part of global transaction so that failed messages can roll back to the JMS queue?

This is known behavior and If I remember correct there is Bug raised but closed as Work as Designed (I still don't have clear explanation why adapter starts local transaction when underlying connection doesn't even participate ). Solution for this is to Make QOS=Best Effort.This makes sure that the local transaction required by adapter will not conflict with global transaction.
So if you expecting adapter to participate in global JTA currently it is not supported.

SAP Sourcing 7.0 integration with SAP ERP - issue with SAP PI

Hi All,
We are integrating SAP Sourcing 7.0 with SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP PI 7.1 in middle. So the Sourcing will talk to PI and this intern will talk to ERP. Sourcing is on oracle 11g where as PI and ERP are on SQL 2008. All these 3 are on windows 2003 x64.
We are following the "Configuration Guide Integration of SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing 7.0" provided by SAP.
We have successfully configured Sourcing and PI systems as pe the document. In Sourcing, by using background jobs we are able to successfully generate files in "export" folder which is part of FTP directory.
However the issue is with PI, we configured the "configuration scenerio" in Integration builder and point all channels to the FTP folder in Sourcing. But PI is not picking up these files.
Is there any way to trigger this in PI system. Or do we need to do anything in sourcing itself.

Unreleashed segment issue with SAP schema

Hi All,
We are trying to generate SAP schema in BizTalk 2010 and facing unreleased segment issue and discussed with SAP team whom suggested below ways. We were interacted with MSFT and no hotfix yet. Please guide me.
The provider/external should call IDOCTYPE_READ_COMPLETE in the following way:
- PI_RELEASE = ' ' => last existing segment version is returned
- PI_RELEASE not available in the interface => last released version
Which means: BizTalk needs to ensure the PI_RELEASE is not present in the call of the interface. This will allow pulling the last release version of the IDoc including not released segments.

BizTalk does not support unreleased segments for Receive Operations.
As far as I know SAP 'locks' the segment types that have not been released and the LOB adapter of BizTalk cannot properly read those segments.
The SAP team should set a release on the IDOC types and segments you need.

Issue with SAP Single Sign-On and Scheduling Reports

We are on XI 3.1 with SAP BW and SSO. Some users are getting failures with this error message when they schedule a report to run:
"A database error occured. The database error text is: Unable to connect to SAP BW server System received an expired SSO ticket. (WIS 10901)."
It SEEMS as though the users are fine if they schedule the report to run immediately and have it run every hour (or less) after that. If they schedule it to run several hours from the time they are in the system, however, it looks like they begin getting failures around 8 hours after they were in the system. This would make sense from looking at the "InfoView and Central Management Console Session Management" document (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/405547f9-b840-2b10-44b5-8e17ff9e48a9&overridelayout=true) since a logon token expires after 8 hours, but since it is a scheduled report, and the user is not logged in through a browser, how is a token being passed? Is it captured and included when the report is scheduled? Would disabling logon tokens fix this issue? How is authentication handled here if they are disabled?

I am facing the exact same error.
However, we are not trying to schedule the WEBI report.
The user gets this error even when he is running on demand from the portal.
Here are the various steps tha twe have tried and still it doesnt work:
1) Refreshed and created new Universe connection
2) Bounced BOE server
3) Synced up the SSO timeout ticket to 8 hrs on all systems including BOE
4) Changed browsers
5) Removed cache, cookies etc
Please help.

Satellite P300-1AN - Touchpad issue with AC adapter

I've a Satellite P300-1AN notebook and since the beginning (two weeks)
I have a touchpad issue: it is not immediately responsive and the pointer trembles when touching the pad. Very often it freezes for just one or two seconds.
This is VERY annoying. A USB mouse works perfectly.
I tried reinstalling ALPS drivers, tried Synaptics ones, tried just Windows Vista drivers: no way.
Now I have found the reason: this issue is present only when the notebook is powered by AC adapter.
With battery the touchpad is perfect.
I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they won't change the AC adapter if I don't try before a complete system restore!
Isn't it simpler just try with a new adapter and only then, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?
Has anyone had this same issue?

The point is that your notebook should be always checked using the Toshiba factory configuration.
Why? Because the ASP wants to be sure that this issue is not related to a software problem (compatibility issue with 3rd party applications). The software issues are not covered by warranty.
Furthermore the ASP will always recover the notebook before checking any hardware parts for a malfunction. Therefore you should always backup your data from the HDD before you will send the notebook for checking.
I would recommend to reinstall the OS using the Toshiba recover disk and then check if the issue would appears.
If yes then you can contact the ASP again and could provide all details which are necessary for an technician.

Issue with minidisplay adapter and wifi

I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but my gf is having an issue when she connects her 13" macbook pro to her monitor via the minidisplay dvi adapter. When she connects it her wifi disconnects and has no internet access at all, but when she disconnects it the internet comes right back on. She's using a generic adapter but what would that have to with the wifi? She uses a linksys G router and is using 10.6.1

This thread caught my attention - because since switching last week from a late '06 Macbook to the Macbook Pro 13", my Wifi performance at home has gotten slow and unreliable.
I'm using the Apple MiniDP-DVI adapter, connected to a 24" Dell monitor, which has worked great for a few years on my white Macbook. My base station is a Linksys WRTSL54GS, located about 20 feet away from my desk.
So, I tried some speed tests with and without the DVI. Performance with the adapter connected is terrible, disconnected it's perfect. Further testing shows that positioning matters.
When the adapter is turned back 90 degrees, leading the monitor cable towards the back of my desk, Wifi performance is bad. When I turn the adapter so it sticks straight out the left side of the Macbook Pro, performance is normal.
This is a little weird, but an acceptable workaround for me.

Issue With Apps Adapter JDev 11.1.1.3

I sent email to ur official id with the issue details. 1 query i have here, Can i generate wrapper using 10g Adapter and consume in OSB 11.1.1.3?.
Also some funny issues we are facing with API's. If the API create/modified, immediately we couldn't able to generte the wrapper if generate also, the response is not in xsd defined format.
But if we re-generate the wrapper after sometime, it work with no issues. Don't why.

Issues with FTP adapter

Hello,
I m facing issues using the FTP adapter. I am using 10.1.3.1 standalone installed in my desktop.
1) The FTP adapter doesnt poll continuously for the files. It dies off as soon the folder is empty. If there are incoming files after sometime, the BPEL process fails to pick them. I created an empty BPEL process that has a recieve activity from an FTP adapter as partner link
2) The files are fetched and deleted but are never archived, despite setting the archive files. Can we not archive those files in another folder of same FTP server ?
3) Sometimes, the files are deleted, but there is no activity or process shown in the BPEL console.
Can you please help me with these issues

Are you able to upgrade to 10.1.3.3. A lot of issues with adapters are solved in this release.
