Issue with Smart View Help Contents using v11.1.2.0.01
Hi there,
I just installed v11.1.2.0.01 (Build 003) of the Smart View add-in on a MS Windows XP SP2 PC with MS Office 2003 SP3.
Unfortunately, the Help Contents in MS Excel does not seem to work as whenever I select Smart View > Help > Contents, nothing gets displayed. Selecting Smart View > Help > Technical Support and Smart View > Help > EPM Documentation takes me to various links on the www.oracle.com site.
I uninstalled then re-installed this specific version a few times but to no avail. I even checked the contents of each subdirectory where Smart View has been installed but could not find any Help files whatsoever.
1. Has anyone ever encountered this issue?
2. If yes, what do I need to do to resolve this issue and get the Smart View Help to be displayed?

Well, reading the documentation about knowing where to find the documentation would have actually helped. At the bottom of page 10 of the Smart View ReadMe document, the following is mentioned under the "Documentation Updates" section:
"For Smart View online help to be available, the Shared Connections URL on the Advanced page of the Options dialog box must contain an EPM Workspace URL."
This question is now answered.

But when we open this in Smart view, we are getting the columns as follows:

i.e. year and scenario are spreading across months instead coming at each column level.
We are using Hyperion Planning 11.1.2, Smart View 11.1.2 and Office 2003.

I think that can be done for Ad-Hoc Analysis mode, but not where you have opened up a Planning form.

Issue with smart view add-in in MS word 2003
Hi,
I have smart view 9314 and office 2003 installed on my machine. I can see hyperion tab in excel and it works fine but i can't see hyperion tab in word or powerpoint. Its not in disabled items for word. I tried to add HsTBar.xla in word using Templates and Add-Ins option but it throws error: Invalid add-in. Any info to resolve the issue would be highly appreciated.

Most Office 365 uses cases and users end up with Office installed on the desktop and at that point we are talking about normal Office Support. Right now it is up to the Office 365 administrator to determine the version of Office to be used by their 365 users. http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-enterprises/ff637585.aspx
Short answer is that Smart View does not support Office 365 Web Apps and there are no plans to support the Web Apps. -
Issue with Smart View when trying to connect to Planning/Essbase

I'm facing this issue with Hyperion 11.1.1.3 & 11.1.2. In Excel, I've created a connection in SmartView by giving the URL as http://ServerName:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView. After that i'm able to see "Servers" and when i started expanding that, it displayed the server name. When i clicked on the server name, it should display the Planning Application name right ? instead of that just a Cuble symbol is displaying. Do i need to make any settings for proper display of the Planning Application names ? This is perfectly working fine with HFM. I'm able to see HFM application names. Pls. adviceI was trying for shared conenction this morning and it was not working. Now all of sudden it started working. Even i've checked now, the private connection is also working fine with the URL http://planningserver:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView

I am facing a very strange issue with tree view.
I have created a custom component with a tree view. All data are coming in the tree view. But the strange thing is that the data is not getting displayed on the screen.
I am sure about the data because, when I am selecting a line from the tree, the data from that line is coming to the main screen.

I have installed Smart View 11.1.1.4 in a 9.3.3-environment, customer using SV with Planning 9.3.3 through independent provider.
This is working fine.
Now we're looking at Crystal Ball with Planning.
The thought is to use the "Simulation and Forecasting workbooks" data source in Smart View 11.1.1.4.
a) Is that possible, installling Crystal Ball Fusion Edition, using it with Smart View 11.1.1.4 and Planning 9.3.3?
b) Where can I find Crystal Ball Fusion Edition 11.1.1.x for download? Seems like the Oracle edelivery site only contains 11.1.2.1 ...

My MacBook Pro 13" (2012) is running Windows 7 on Bootcamp and there is an issue with the headset I'm using. I use a cheap Logitech Stereo Headset H130, but since there is only on audio plugin on the computer, I purchased a 3.5 mm 4-pin smartphone audio adapter thingy. That allowed me to put both my the sound coming to my headset & the microphone on my headset onto one wire. Everything worked wonderfully when running the Mac OS since they probably have support for that kind of stuff. The problem is though that once I try to use the same method in Windows 7, the OS doesn't recognize my headset microphone at all, but, instead when recording my voice decides to use the built-in mac microphone. Using this adapter still allows me to hear from my headset, but not use the microphone and that becomes a problem. It might be so that Windows 7 doesn't have support\drivers for that... How should I continue from here on out? Any advice?
From what I have read from others on here you may be out of luck. You would need the appropriate Windows drivers for the Cirrus chip in the Mac and no one has been able to successfully locate them. Apple wouldn't support this since Windows is an optional install.

Issue with PR conversion to PO using ME59 withqty of similar line items

I'm having an issue with PR conversion to PO using ME59
I have a PR with the following line items with all same details except quantity
ex 1
Mat Qty Unit Plant St Loc
M1 1 EA P1 S1
M1 29 EA P1 S1
The PR brings in the Unit automatically
EA is Base Unit Of Measure -Material Master
BT is Order Unit -Material Master
Conversion
30 EA = 1BT
When i convert this PR to PO using ME59N then i see 2 lines items
M1 1 BT
M2 1 BT
Its doubling the qty (2 BT = 60 EA)
ex 2
Mat Qty Unit Plant St Loc
M1 1 EA P1 S1
M1 2 EA P1 S1
M1 27 EA P1 S1
The PR brings in the Unit automatically

Its 3 times no
PR Qty = 30 EA
PO qty = 3 BT = 90 EA
I guess during conversion to PO
It sees PR Line item 1 and looks for another line items with similar fields ( in our case it sees line 2 in ex 1 and 2 and 3 in ex 2)
i adds the qty 1 and 29 in ex1 and converts the total 30 each to 1 BT and when it moves to 2 line it see item1 and again creates 1BT but the line item 2 was already considered and it should be ignored
Similarly if you see ex2 then it creates 3 limes with 1 BT each
Let me know how to resolve this issue
ThanksAs for std SAP ME59N - make sure there is not rounding value is activated in the Material master as well as info record
If this is not the case than check any custom code is activated for ME59N
becuase generally in many compnay when they use ME59n they don't want the same material from diff PR to create the diff line item in the PO so using the custom logic in the user exist they trick the code

Unable to connect to essbase server with Smart View
Hi,
I'm having trobules connecting Smart View in order to make some adhoc analysis, however I could perfectly establish connection with Planning and navigate through web forms in excel.
The address I'm using to connect to Essbase is: http://<server>:19000/aps/SmartView and the planning url is http://<server>:19000/HyperionPlanning/SmartView
I've been already using those urls in other server with version 11.1.2 but now that I'm trying to connect to a server with v11.1.1.3 I just can't. Whenever I connect to Planning in order to see the forms a prompt appears with the message saying that "I'm connecting to a server with an older version" but I could perfectly work with the forms. When I connect to essbase, I can see the Applications but I just can't make any adhoc analysis.
Could anyone have any idea of what could be happening?

Issue with tables :( Plz Help!
Hey all!
Never posted before on this forum and pretty new with
dreamweaver. So I'm having the strangest issue with dreamweaver
tables. I bought a template that I'm modifying by my self which
isnt all that hard haha. But Here's what I ran into. Whenever I put
one table and then another one under it and another one under it
and I insert txt or pics in there and save it, after I upload it
and preview it, I can only see the info from the first table.
Everything else under it, wont show up.
So no matter where and on what page I do it from that
template, if I put more than 1 table down, it'll only show the info
from the first and top table and everything else in other tables
under it, wont show up at all (after I upload it) even thou it
looks good on dreamweaver itself :(
Is there an option to enable or disable something? Plz help,

The bad news is that if you want to do anything remotely
complicated with
Dreamweaver you will have to learn a fair amount about HTML.
I would virtually
guarantee that when you put your new table in something is
going wrong so that
one or other table is not being defined correctly.
As you are modifying someone else's template there is
virtually no way to find
out what is happening other than to examine the HTML. It is
unlikely that
fiddling with any Dreamweaver settings will make any
difference.
Every table should start with something like:

and end with:

You can have more or less as many columns as you like in a

I would love some help with this issue. I have configured my SharePoint foundation 2010 site to use Claims Based Auth with Certificate authentication method with ADFS 2.0 I have a test account set up with lab.acme.com to use the ACS.
When I log into my site using Windows Auth, everything is great. However when I log in and select my ACS token issuer, I get sent, to the logon page of the ADFS, after selected the ADFS method. My browser prompt me which Certificate identity I want
to use to log in and after 3-5 second
and return me the logon page with error message “Authentication failed”

Issue with Overall Result - Help
Hello,
I have a query with two restricted keyfigures (0amount used) as actual and forecast. While drilldown by fiscal period, the overall result shows totals for actual and plan separately. Business point of view, they want to have total of both (actual + remaining months of forecast). Is that possible?. If yes, anybody help me on this. We don't want to create CKF to sum both the key figures.

ViswaAppreciate your response Arun. Did the initial work of getting both actual and plan. Everything works and report is live now knowing that the problem of overall result when we drill across by fiscal period. The report is very flexible/dynamic columns and users can enter multiple periods and any versions to use for various purposes. Looking for a solution without making changes to the query, somehow we can achieve/fix the overall result summation. Want to keep creating a CKF as last option.

Not able to get Essbase Server list in Office with Smart View 11.1.2.1
Anybody tried Shared Connection in Smart View 11.1.2.1? I am able to connect to but it does not show any servers in the non editable drop-down box. I tried this with Office 2003 sp3, Office 2007 and office 2010 but none of them is working. Also i tried to find out the datasourse.xml file in LWS-aps in shared services console but its not there. i tried the solution given on this link also but the datasourse.xml file is not in place.

i'm connecting to Essbase through this URL http://<server>:19000/workspace/SmartViewProviders . it shows the login window and allow me to get in. but the drop down box is empty. no server listed.

I checked,"http://<servername>:13080/aps/SmartView" Analytic Provider Services also running.
instead of Server name i tried localhost, ip address, and computer name.
but still not getting anything in drop down, even "Add New Server" Option also.
I thought this may be because Analytic Provider Services was configured after Shared Services. But for that i followed the steps:
1. Stop the Analytic Provider Server and Foundation Services.
2. Open the EPM System Configurator through Start -> All Programs -> Oracle EPM System -> Foundation Services -> EPM System Configurator.
3. Expand Hyperion Foundation and only tick the option 'Deploy to Application Server'
4. Click Next through the Configurator until complete.
5. Restart the Foundation and Analytic Provider Server Services.
6. Open Excel, connect to the Shared Connections.
But problem Continuous.
