Issue with spooling data to csv file

Hi,
I am trying to spool a table data to csv file using spool command in command prompt. and its spooling around thousand records.
I am able to see all the thousnad records on dos prompt while spooling happening.
Instwead of that, is there any other way that will stop printing output on dosprompt rather it will spool directly to csv file?

Issue with deleting text from CSV file in Numbers

We are converting an Exel File into a CSV File by way of Numbers, in an effort to upload contacts into my Contacts database on my MacBook Air. The Contacts database does not like the CSV file and I am pretty sure it is because there is text in the phone number column. So a cell may read
"Office: 323.555.1212"
Before I change 600+ cells by manually taking out the word "cell" or "office" from these cells, I wonder if there is a way to format the column such that the text is ommitted. Thanks!

Find and Replace in Numbers.
Edit > Find > Show Search (command f) will bring up a search box:
Click on Find and Replace.
In the Find box, type Office: followed by two spaces (there are two spaces in your example).
Leave the Replace box empty.
Click on Replace All.
Repeat this for Cell.
That editing process will replace the Find text with nothing, and will leave the rest of the cell contents unchanged.

I have problem with saving data in csv file. I would like save my data look

As we see all values are in separate cell A1=10, B1=11, C1=12 ...
so I try :

How to import data from CSV file with columns separated by semicolon?

I migrate database from MS SQL 2008 to ORACLE 11g
I export data to CSV file from MS SQL
then I try to import it to Oracle
several tables goes fine using Import data option in the SQL Developer
Standard CSV files with data separated by comma were imported.
chars, date (with format string), and integer data are imported via import wizard without problems
the problems were when I try to import table with noninteger numbers with modal part separated by comma not by dot
comma is the standard separator for columns in CSV file
so I must change the standard separator to semicolon
then the import wizard have problem to correct recognize the columns data because it use only standard CSV comma separator :-/
In SQL Developer 1.5.3 Tools -> Preferences -> Migration -> Data Move Options
I change "End of Column Delimiter" to ; but it doens't work
Is this possible to change the standard column separator for import data wizzard in SQL Developer 1.5.3?
Or maybe someone know how to import data in SQL Developer 1.5.3 from CSV when CSV colunn separator is set to semicolon?

A new preference has been added to customize the import delimiter in main code line. This should be available as part of future release.

Loading data from .csv file into existing table

Hi,
I have taken a look at several threads which talk about loading data from .csv file into existing /new table. Also checked out Vikas's application regarding the same. I am trying to explain my requirement with an example.
I have a .csv file and I want the data to be loaded into an existing table. The timesheet table columns are -
timesheet_entry_id,time_worked,timesheet_date,project_key .
The csv columns are :
project,utilization,project_key,timesheet_category,employee,timesheet_date , hours_worked etc.
What I needed to know is that before the csv data is loaded into the timesheet table is there any way of validating the project key ( which is the primary key of the projects table) with the projects table . I need to perform similar validations with other columns like customer_id from customers table. Basically the loading should be done after validating if the data exists in the parent table. Has anyone done this kind of loading through the APEX utility-data load.Or is there another method of accomplishing the same.
Does Vikas's application do what the utility does ( i am assuming that the code being from 2005 the utility was not incorporated in APEX at that time). Any helpful advise is greatly appreciated.

the command is
sqlldrType it and see if you have it installed.

Error while uploading data through CSV File

While Performing following steps I have encounted error in BW 3.5.
Step 1. Right-click Source System u2013 demo: flat file, and then select Create InfoPackageu2026.
Step 2. Select the DataSource Material number (Master data), enter a description for the InfoPackage, and
Step 3. Click the External data tab. Select options as shown in the screen. Enter a file name with a path.(CSV File)\
While checking the preview I am able to see the values inside CSV file,
But while Starting the scheduler to upload this data it is displaying following error=>
Syntax error in template RSTMPLIR, row 0 (-> Long text)
While checking performance assistant following detail is displayed.
*Diagnosis
Field "C_R_D" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a "DATA" ...
System response
The program generation was terminated.
Procedure
Correct the template*

I have a requirement to attach a txt file to the email. I am able to attach the file and fill the contents of the file.
But the issue is with the data in the file. There are no line breaks in the data of file and all the words are saperated by space.
For EG: If I have filled 2 records(line1,line2) in the internal table provided to content_bin field, the data in the attachment looks like this.

you can try to use a CR_LF to separate the records.
constants: con_cret type c value cl_abap_char_utilities=>CR_LF.
And when you append your record to the internal table add to the end the con_cret.
LOOP AT t_build into wa_charekpo.
    CONCATENATE wa_charekpo-order wa_charekpo-kunnr
                wa_charekpo-sel
           INTO it_attach SEPARATED BY con_tab.
    CONCATENATE con_cret it_attach INTO it_attach.

Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???
I have a client who has recently upgraded from V2007 to V8.81. They were succesfuly using this standard function to import supplier prices to their master price list, but now it has failed?
I have looked at the file they are importing and it appears to be fine.
On closer inspection, it did contain approx 46,000 entries, so I took the first 1,000 and created a test file, which imported fine.
The only issue I found was Speed, with the test file of 1,000 records taking about 30 Mins to import. This appeared to get slower and slower the further through the file it got!
Based on this, I have estimated that the whole file would takle about 13 hours to import. The client say that when they used to run it on version 2007 it was far quicker?
In practice, it does appear to run, but the speed is the issue. Having said this, I set the whole file to run last night (over night)and this morning it had appeared to hang after about 2,307 rows, with nothing else being updated.
Has anyone any ideas or is aware of performance issues like this?

I have uploaded a copy of their database onto my test system and run the same routine. Its equally as SLOW
I can't gauage if its an issue with 8.81 that 2007 didn't have, as I only have the client's word on it, however I have no reason to disbelieve them.

How to idenify comma as data in CSV file

Hi,
I have a CSV file having data containing comma (,) in it.
So whe i read the file as the data contain(,) the data is read as two different value.
Can anyone suggest any idea or is there ay VI available to overcome this problem of having (,) as data for CSV file.

By definition, a CSV file has data separated by commas. That means you can't have commas in your data. Some implementations (Excel, for instance) allow you to have commas in your data if you wrap the data in double quotes (so 1,2,"3,4",5 will result in 4 columns) or escape it, but LV doesn't recognize that. You can see some more here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values
The easiest thing to do is to use another delimiter and not call the file CSV. If you want to fix the existing file, you can probably open it in Notepad, put quotes around the relevant data, then open it in Excel and replace the commas with another character.

Export batch data into CSV file using SQL SP

Hi,
I have created WCF-Custom receive adapter to poll Sql SP (WITH xmlnamespaces(DEFAULT 'Namespace' and For XML PATH(''), Type) . Get the result properly in batch while polling and but getting error while converting into CSV by using map.
Please can anyone give me some idea to export SQL data into CSV file using SP.

How are you doing this.
You would have got XML representation for the XML batch received from SQL
You should have a flat-file schema representing the CSV file which you want to send.
Map the received XML representation of data from SQL to flat-file schema
have custom pipeline with flat-file assembler on the assembler stage of the send pipeline.
In the send port use the map which convert received XML from SQL to flat file schema and use the above custom flat-file disassembler send port

Hi All
I have to download data into csv file format. I use the FM
GUI_DOWNLOAD and gave the filename text.csv. But data is stored in excel
file in place of csv file.
Can anyone tell me what should i do to load the data into csv file or any other function module should used?

I recently got a new computer and I Back-Up all my music and itunes playlist and I import it on my new computer with the new itunes and I go to play a few songs, it says I'm missing them I locate a few but it's still like 3,000 missing and again they are all on the computer and in one folder..Please Help !

I did that and nothing changed half my songs still have examination marks beside them
I also just tried dragging my folder of music int he playlist and it duplicated all of my songs? My playlist was at 5k now it's at 10k becuz of 3 duplicates of songs. Is there a way to delete multiple duplicate files?

I am having a issue with getting data useage alerts for my iphone 4s from AT&T. I do not download anything huge at all.
I looked into it and figured out that the phone dials out nightly at 12:29am every night. I went into my settings and went to general..about..diagnostics and useage..then diagnostics and useage data to see this. I then clicked don't send...but I am still getting useage alerts. Can anyone help me please...

Honestly, from reading the thread linked, they all come off as a bunch of whiney people that cannot be bothered to help themselves.
Little to nothing in that thread indicates an issue beyond inept consumers. Yes, I read several pages on the incessant gripes. Very few made any actual attempts to troubleshoot issues before whining about the "Apple issue" and those that did actual troubleshooting got their issues resolved.
So no, Apple has nothing to fix beyond a few specific devices that are experiencing hardware issues.
If you have actually put forth effort and done the basic troubleshooting, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. Whining will get nothing accomplished.
