Hello Guru's,
What is the best practice for doing ESS/MSS upgrade.
Since everytime we upgrade the BP we need to redo all the customizations again in the new track and deploy.
I have gone through Note 872892 and read the NWDI cookbook.
I feel there should be some tool (which will tell the differences in Code from one track to other if so how to install and where to install?) or a better way to apply the customizations to the new track when we upgrade the ESS/MSS components.

Exchange 2010 - Issues with Room Finder not showing available rooms.

Hi,
We are having issues with room finder not populating the room resources that are available inside a meeting request within outlook 2010. It also appears that there is a drop down box that is present in a lot of the other forums and pages that I have referenced
for troubleshooting:
Single Exchange 2010 server version 14.03.0224.002 running all roles. Migrated from previous Exchange 2003 environment and old 2003 server has been decommissioned.
Room mailbox created and all configured resource policies are working correctly for creating meeting requests. A distribution group was created and the room mailboxes added to this DG as per instructions here: hxxp://exchangeserverpro.com/find-meeting-rooms/
. We have recreated the OAB and confirmed that the Room mailboxes are part of this list.
Does anyone have any ideas why the rooms are not showing up in the Room Finder box?
If I have missed any information please feel free to ask for more info.

According to your description, I understand that room finder cannot show available room in Outlook 2010.
If I misunderstand you concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
I want to double confirm whether it works before, or it can’t work after decommission Exchange 2003? How about other Outlook version?
The offline address book (OAB) is generated by Microsoft Exchange Server. In order for the Room Finder feature to work, the OAB must be generated by Exchange 2010 or a later version.
Please run Get-OfflineAddressBook | FL Identity,Server to double check OAB generation server. Also, run Get-OabVirtualDirectory | FL to check URL for current OAB VD and force update OAB.
Then open Test E-mail AutoConfiguration to double check whether Outlook get correct URL.
After above complete, please try to switch to Send/Receive tab, click Send/Receive Groups, and then click Download Address Book.

Yamaha o1x Issue with plug ins not showing on the DAW

Hi everyone, Been a while since I have used the Logic program, and I have updated the software as it was developed over the years. First I have already discovered that the Mlan will not connect in 64 bit mode and boot my macbook pro in 32 bit. I completed a mix a few weeks ago and need to eq certain areas and this job would be a breeze using my Yamaha O1x which is old but still works marvelously but the plug ins controls are not appearing on the DAW which is most frustrating. I am doing a number of experiments ( Which I would prefer not to ) to see if any plug ins work and plan two is to use an old 12" power pc and load an older version of logic and use the dongle to finish this up, failing that I guess I will have to do the finger dance with my track pad. Anyone have this issue? Anyone using a newer operating system and current logic pro using an O1x and having no issues? Thanks for reading. Cheers Chris

Not sure those plugins will work on recent versions of OSX and Logic, but if they could work it won't be on the initial version of OSX 10.7.5 which had a serious AU plugin problem... er.. BUG!
See if the supplemental update helps... (I would reboot after installing)

If not, going back to the older PPC system may be the only choice.
I set up an O1X in a small studio many years ago, nice mixer, we used a digital patchbay and a master wordclock to sync up various digital devices.

Anyone else having issues with folders / files not showing or showing stragely?

Device: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
If I open a new window from the desktop (Apple N), the folder either shows it's empty (even though it it's not) or the text has black bars over, or the text is jumbled.
My downloads folder is actually full of files, but shows empty:

I have a mid 2010 mini (with Mountain Lion) and I just recently noticed I was experiencing this problem.The timezone thing didn't work for me.
I *may* have fixed it though. I went into the Security / Privacy settings, selected the privacy tab, and *there* turned off location services and turned it back on.
I think that worked - keep your fingers crossed! (So far, so good.)

I would first of all trash the preference file for InDesign, make sure the application is closed then find the prefs in
/Users/USER NAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign and just throw the entire folder away, it will generate a new one after you launch InDesign again.
Now launch InDesign and see if the problems are resolved.
If not I would repair your permissions on your hard drive wih disk utility, and if that fails then di-install InDesign and re-install that single application.
Let me know if any of these suggestions work for you

Lov Values are not showing for Discoverer Reports in Application

I developed some discoverer reports, those reports having parameters with LOV. Those LOV values are showing in Discoverer Desktop, but after registering those reports in Oracle applications those LOV values are not showing. Pls let me know how resolve this issue.

Also it is necessary to know how the LOVs are defined. Are they based on Application flexvalues for example? In which case it may be that you have not got your NLS language parameters set correctly when connecting from Applications.

I have been struggling with this for days. I am working on it with Apple. We re-installed the software, I re-installed OSLion, I re-started in safe mode, looked at startup items, cache, etc.
Now I am about to create a partition and test again to determine if the issue is with another software program on my system.
BTW, I noticed this starting AFTER I upgraded to 1.1, but maybe that is a coincidence. Do you know if it started for you after the update? ALSO, check your help screen in IBA. Does it look the attached? This started happening at the same time as the caption/image issue.
Please stay in touch as you the first person other than myself (that I know about), who is having this issue.

Stacked Column Chart Value does not show in Preview or SWF

I have created a simple (one-column) stacked Column chart from an imported Excel 2007 spreadsheet. I am using 3 values and all three are there when I am editing the chart. When I do a Preview or Export it to a .swf file, the third value does not show up. It only shows the first two.
I am running Xcelsius 2008, Version 5.1.3.0, build 12,1,3,495.

Hi Rich,
Try to rebind the data with the component and preview and see.
Also check with other charts to see if you get the same behaviour.
Try placing a table component and display those cell and see what values are there when you preview.
There could also be posiblities that the third values must be very small as compared to the other two,so check that as well and may be select the secodry scale in the general tab for the 3rd series.

Parameter values are not showing in in the Organization Parameter form

We have done a setup for an Inventory Organization.
Everything was working fine.
Values were showing everywhere.
We have lot of transactions done in the org also.
But suddenly yesterday when I was trying to open the Organization Parameter form for that specific organization, the form came up as blank and in the bottom the error is Query caused no records.
I have checked data is there in the base table mtl_parameters.
Value is coming for other organizations. Only one specific organization is having this issue.
Even in Examine, I have taken the last query run on that form and ran the same in back end database, I can see all values are there in the database.
But in frontend screen the values are not showing. even organization code also not showing.
Navigation is: Inv Super user --> Setup --> Organization --> Parameter

Have you checked Organization Access to ensure that no one restricted that org?
Or shipping grants and roles?
I think there are quite a few places that you can restrict access.

Issue With Search Help in Module Pool

Dear All,
I have an Issue with Search help. I have created a Module Pool Program. In this module pool, User requires the search helps for the fields.
Imagine there are 3 fields on a screen. Field1, field2 and field3.
Field2 entries depends on field1 and field3 entries depends on field1 and field2.
I have created a collective search help. and created the corresponding Ztables to maintain the search help entries.
Now I assigned the same collective search help to both the fields . i.e. field2 and field3. But when i execute the module pool program, and press F4 on these fields , the data shown is write. BUT for the 3rd field, when I select F4, The second field values are transfered to the screen, instead of third field value.
Any Idea will be appreciated .

are you using the same user to access backend and portal?. In backend, did you try from transaction PHAP_CHANGE with that user?. If you try with transaction PHAP_ADMIN in backed you are accessing as administrator, so you cannot compare the behaviour in PHAP_ADMIN and portal.

Streaming issues: iTunes content suddenly not showing up???

AppleTV is showing up in the devices list in iTunes, but it suddenly won't display any of my non-synced content.
Everything was working perfectly and without any changes being made to anything, the next time i fired up the AppleTV later the same day - no content was being displayed.
I restarted the AppleTV, restarted my router (though clearly it's on the network since it's showing up in iTunes), restarted my computer, reopened iTunes, unlinked and relinked to iTunes all to no avail.
Just to see if iTunes and the AppleTV could "talk" to one another, I tried syncing some new content to it that I was previously only streaming, and the sync worked fine - so I can't figure out what the problem is. It's clearly on the network and iTunes can clearly still communicate with the device because a sync worked fine.
Any insight??? All of the answers I've found deal with the AppleTV not showing up in iTunes but, again, that isn't the problem here.

I am having a similar issue, but am getting this all the time: we stream iTunes content and it starts off okay, but in middle of movie or podcast it loses its connection. We have tried most things, checked what was advised above, tried it with ethernet cable and wireless, even had a new Apple TV few weeks ago, but it's still the same problem. We then have to disconnect iTunes again on AppleTV, remove AppleTV from itunes, then add shared iTunes library with the steaming code again and it works for about 15 minutes.
Can't think of anything else anymore!
Anyone has any other suggestions?
