Issues adding phones since CCA3.0 / SP 8.1 on UC520

Hi there,
I have an UC520 for testing before upgrading our customers systems. (System is running SP 8.1 with German langpack: UC520_8.1.0.zip, UC500_8.1.0_locale_de_DE.zip)
I'm having some problems with adding users/phones/extensions using CCA 3.0 everything else is working fine so far.
Phoneloads upgraded successfully (8-5-4 for 79xx and 7-4-6 for SPAxxx).
To the problem: When I try to add a new phone with a new extension and new user I go to Configure > Telephony > Users and Extensions > Users and Phones. Then adding a new phone through the "ADD" button. Everything works fine until I try to configure the Line Button. CCA tells me at the bottom error-information-bar "Invalid Button Configuration" - but it looks correct to me! When I apply these settings CCA crashes - without any changes on the UC520.
Any suggestions?
Additional Information:
- Configuring phones for Extension Mobility works.
- Using CLI / Webinterfaces for configuration works fine. But phones configured this way are not managable through CCA 3.0.

the UC is for testing so its basically a separated network. it is connected with one DHCP interface to our company network.
This log was produced while connecting to the interface IP of the VLAN connected to the company network. But I had the same issue when I connected a Laptop directly to the UC on VLAN1 (default IP - i think it is 192.168.1.1)
Operating System was WinXP 32Bit in both cases. CCA version 3.0.
I upgraded the system using CCA > Maintenance > Software Upgrade --> selected Softwarepack and locale pack... had to upgrade the phoneloads separately. Also with CCA 3.0.
Will try the Java+CCA reinstall tomorrow morning.

Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

An iPhone 4S can only be updated directly to iOS 8.1.2. You need to resolve the issue which prevents you from updating to it instead of attempting to install an intermediate version.

I found whats happening at least partialy. My 2 iphones that wouldnt participate in shared library and ipad2 had false logins in music setting.
I tried log out under music, and log in, and it said it can't log in.
same time, funny thing happened, app store is also unreachable.
I only restored in itunes my ipad2 for testing (it was suggested by apple via apple support chatline) and it worked, I can connect to shared lib only with ipad.
Alas, it partialy downloaded my library???? and it had errors in it.
I restarted router, itunes server, ipad (resetting network settings and loosing all my 20 or so connections I have for different places!) and ipad works.
My wife's iphone managed to log on into music settings to home sharing, but it only downloaded partialy itunes library. I am not restoring it since Id loose a lot more!
My own iphone4 isn't managing to connect into home sharing.
I have tried to solve this for a week.
New firmware of asus RT N66U gorgeously capable router and all the things I did came to nothing.
I think it's n iOS wifi communications problem, and only apple can solve it.

The nice part is that I work remotely, so I only have to wake up 15 minutes or so before the meeting.... I updated my iphone 5 to ios7 on Sunday and have been having m?ajor problems with my phone since. It keeps freezing and I have to constantly press the home and on/off switch to get it to restart. I had updated my itunes and backed up the phone before doing the update. I'm getting very frustrated at this stage as the phone is practically useless. Is it worth doing a restore? Bearing in mind that I just tried to do that and got a message to turn off the 'find phone' feature in settings and when I tried to get into settings the phone froze again.

I don't have a good answer for you but reading these forums, it seems that network drives can often cause problems with iTunes like you describe.

What is your current plan? In some cases it can be cheaper to move to a More Everything plan with an out of contract line. With More Everything, you will get a $15 per month reduction in line fee with a minimal data.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? I see you are from the NYC area.... used to work there back in the early 90´ Those were good days..... What a City

If your pics are on your old iphone, then import them from your old iphone to your computer as you would with any digital camera.

When you synch your Windows XP Pro PC with your iPhone (3G) device & instruct the software to synchronize your iPhone Safari "Bookmarks" with your PC's Internet Explorer "Favorites," should there not be a bi-directional transfer of the information?
(from iPhone to PC and also from PC to iPhone?)
I synched my phone yesterday & it appears that there was a successful transfer of Internet Explorer "Favorites" into the iPhone. However, neither were my iPhone Safari "Bookmarks" retained on the iPhone nor were they transferred over to the PC (& into Internet Explorer).
Do I need to also install Safari on the PC to get a successful bi-directional transfer? OR am I simply not looking in the correct place on the computer to retrieve all the Bookmarks that were apparently removed from the iPhone?
Furthermore, I've been experiencing difficulty with getting PodCasts that are already sitting in my iTunes account to transfer over to the iPhone 3G.
When I launch the synch operation, commonly the iTunes progress meter will seemingly go to completion. However, the iPhone will ultimately disappear from the left-side iTunes windowpane & the actual iPhone screen will continue to state: "Sync in Progress." The iPhone will remain in this state for HOURS & HOURS, until I ultimately slide the button to cancel the operation. I have literally left the iPhone connected to the synch computer while the iPhone's "Sync in Progress" status message remained the same for *17+ HOURS. This can not be normal*.
Any insight would be helpful.

Note: I resolved the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling itunes with this procedure;-)
