Issues after update my iPhone 4 to IOS 5
after update my iphone 4. i can only play a few song in my music library on my iphone a few(like ten - litterally) out of 3,211.
I thought the issues was iclould, i checked changed preferences but still did the same thing. any help? my theroy is still it's related to icloud and if not it's hardware issue
During the upgrade process was the first step a backup of the iPhone, it should have been.
You will have a backup of your iPhone in iTunes and the end of he upgrade process should have restored that backup, did you stop the restore process?
You need to restore the backp, follow the instructions here:

Just look around the forum posts. Your issue is the number one problem reported by users. There are many suggestions found, some work for some users, others do not.
Some users have reported no battery problems after the upgrade. Others have improved performance after upgrading to 5.0.1 from 5.0. YMMV.
Many of the posts offer suggestions about changing various settings - there are many that affect the battery life.
Once you upgrade the iOS on a device, you cannot go back to a previous version. -

Has anybody experienced missing sent emails after updating their iPhone to IOS 5.0? Mail composed on phone appears to send but is never delivered nor does it show in sent items. Using Exchange 2010. Any thoughts??

Not sure if you were responding to me or OP - my iPhone is on 5.1. The OP at the time of writing was on 5.0.1.
Also, the OP and I had setup our Hotmail as an Exchange server (similar to IMAP), not POP3. -

I found the answer, the update change the setting in "General/Accessibility" and put it on Mono Audio mode, just needed to turn off the Mono Audio and put the output level to the middle.

hi, I managed to update both Itunes and my ios to the latest versions (10.5 and 5 respectively). I'm unable to see the "Sync over wifi" option in itunes. Can anyone help?
Maybe that's why I got lucky? I have 10.7.2. I have to tell you howeer that I did not check any check box in settings on the Notebook to enable Wifi sync, or in iTunes on the notebook. I did have options when setting up the iPad and I selected sync with computer rather than back up to cloud. Maybe that is another difference? I feel feel fortunate that as I type this my iPad is syncing over wifi and you're all having trouble.
Just to confirm I have iTunes 10.5 MacOSX 10.7.2 and iOS5 installed on the iPad. I'm going to dive in and do the phone now too. I will report any troubles, or pay more careful attention when the iCloud settings and set up come on the screen. Maybe I did something else I don't remember. -

I think what he means, is when you know how when you update your phone, itunes has to restore your last back-up back onto the iphone, or ipod, and it it wont let this person. If so, im having this problem myself, i lost all my contacts and data saved on one of my back ups because itunes refuses to restore my phone from before the update, my 3GS went from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1. I hope my problem is the same here, but i have no solutions.

First, try to reset by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Appel logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If the problem persists, and to rule out a software problem, set it up as new device without using the latest backup afterwards. If the speaker is working, restore from the backup.

If the speaker is still not working after that, you'll have to get it checked, this might be a hardware problem.

Well, just for future reference, any time you do an iOS upgrade, it is a good idea to back up your device just prior to doing the download. You can back it up to iCloud or to iTunes. Personally, I prefer to back it up to iTunes, and then to do the download via iTunes as well. Doing a Wifi download can, by the very nature of the OTA environment, run into more issues than a hard-wired one via iTunes.
If it is just a version release (like 8.0.1, or 8.0.2), then I might download it via Wifi, since the content is not likely to be very large. But for any major new release (7 to 8, etc.) it is always a good idea to do it via the USB cable rather than OTA.
I would also suggest that you set up your device to do automatic iCloud backups. Whenever it is turned on (i.e., not manually powered off - it can be "asleep"), plugged into a power source, and connected to Wifi, it will do an automatic backup every 24 hours. Mine usually backs up at night.
But even with my iCloud backup in reserve, I still did an iTunes backup before I upgraded to iOS 8. I like having the extra security of that second backup to choose from, should I need it. Here is a support article comparing the two types of backup:
