Issues Connecting To Bluetooth Speaker

Hello, I just purchased a passport on last Thursday and I am having issues connecting to a JBL bluetooth speaker.  My passport is not even finding my wirless speakers when it is searching and it does the same thing when I refresh.  Can anyone help me or give me any assistance?  I have tried it with the discoverable on and off. Thanks,Stephen

I have a macbook pro 15 retina - when ever I connect to bluetooth speaker, I get this loud noise coming from the speaker - if I turn bluetooth off, the noise is now coming from the macbook speakers & stays until i restart.

Hi John. Thanks for that input. At Step 6, after clicking "Next" I get a window telling me my OS version is unsupported and the installation may not complete. I am prompted to go to Canon's web site to "Check Latest Info".
I've had this window on previous attempts and from Canon's web site I downloaded two drivers as follows
    - ICA Driver V4.0.0
    - Canon IJ Network Tool V4.5.0
I'm not sure if these are the correct / complete drivers I need for this install or not.
I continue to follow all the steps. At step 9 I click "Wireless Set Up using USB" amd get a License Agreement (a little different than instructions)
I click "Agree" and it goes to a Setup window with two progress bars showing the installation. I've not been prompted to connect the USB?
After the Setup window is done, I am then prompted to connect the printer via USB. I connect the printer and click on "Redetect". It is not detected.
I then try following the Canon on screen instructions for connecting to the wireless LAN amd enter the password. It searches and indicates "Connecting" on the window, but it never connects and the blue light just blinks
So, at this point I am stuck??
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to connect a Bluetooth speaker to my receiver STRDN850?

I would like to use a wireless bluetooth headset or a bluetooth speaker to listen to CDs played on my receiver.  I am able to pair my bluetooth phone to my receiver but can't see any way to connect bluetooth in the other direction.  Any ideas?

    Hi barfia,
You cannot connect a wireless speaker in this receiver because it doesn't have the capability to send bluetooth signals. It can only receive bluetooth signals however you can connect wired and model specific wireless headphones in this receiver. Model specific because these headphones comes with a transmitter(MDR-RF985RK). Transmitter that will send the signal to the headphones. Stand alone bluetooth headphones will not work. Use the PHONES jack in front of the receiver to connect your device.
    Thanks,

  • IPad air won't connect to Bluetooth speaker?

My new iPad air will not connect to my Vizio Bluetooth speaker.  When I put both devices in discover mode, the speaker is listed on the iPad, but will not connect?  The speaker connects just fine to my iPhone, or to my older (original) iPad.  I have re-booted the iPad, and powered down(unplugged) the speaker, but no help.

Bluetooth on my iPad air won't find my android phone, but the phone has apparently paired with the iPad. They just won't talk. Same problem with my wife's iPad 4, won't discover anything at all! I know that Apple is known for not communicating with non Apple products but this is ridiculous. Any ideas? Thanks ;)

  • Connecting JBL bluetooth speaker to iMac

Hi,  I just purchased a JBL Charge and want to connect it to my iMac desktop.  However, my iMac cannot find the JBL Charge in Bluetooth set up.  It doesn't list the JBL in the discovered devices.  I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1.  I have no problem connecting to my MacBook Air, iPad, or iPhone.  But I want to connect to my iMac to avoid downloading music to the other devices.  Has anyone else seen this?  Is there a fix?  Thanks for your help.

    Hello billdelaney8,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're not able to pair your JBL Charge with your iMac, but you can pair it with your other devices.
Start with these troubleshooting tips to troubleshoot the bluetooth connection on your iMac:
Bluetooth Quick Assist - Apple Support
    Check your device's system requirements
Make sure that your computer meets your Bluetooth device's system requirements—visit the device manufacturer's website for details.
    Check for a Bluetooth update
To check for new software, choose Software Update from the Apple menu (make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet). If newer Apple Bluetooth software exists, Software Update will prompt you to install it. To install an update, select the checkbox next to the software name and then click Install.
    Reduce potential signal interference
Because Bluetooth works by transmitting signals through the air, some things can interfere with connections. Avoid situations in which metal objects come between your device and computer. Don't put your computer under a metal desk or in a metal cabinet. Keep your computer away from cordless phone base stations, microwave ovens, and other electrical devices that operate on a 2.4 GHz bandwidth. Make sure that your device and computer aren't more than 30 feet apart from each other.
    Restart your computer
Sometimes a simple restart of your Mac is all it takes to get things running smoothly again. You may also want to try resetting your computer's PRAM and NVRAM.
    Reset your Bluetooth device
Try turning your device off and then on again. If that doesn't resolve the issue, see if you can reset your device—refer to the documentation that came with your device for instructions.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • External bluetooth speaker volume to low

    Hello,
I have an external bluetooth speaker from jawbone called jambox. From the start on I had the normal speaker volume like I also stil have it if I connected the bluetooth speaker with my iPod touch. But some day ago, the volume from my whole Mac (not just from iTunes) dropped through my Jawbone. It is not just about 40% of that, what I know of, that the Jawbone Jambox is able to bring.
This problem exists through all audio / video programs on my Macbook Pro. So like in iTunes, also in VLC or MplayerX. Everywhere. The software sound of MacOS Lion is on maximum. Also the sound control of the jambox itself is reached. It seems like there is a protection against to high volume anywhere turned on which just do not allow me to turn up the volume beyond a specifc point of db.
But, I can only repeat: The speaker is in a good shape. I am able to play music much more louder with my iPod paired. But just not with my macbook. I am looking for a "hidden" option to disable the maximum volume limitation of my Mac to the speaker.
Would be happy if anyone know a solution for that issue...

    Same issue
Works fine on my HTC thunderbolt, Even works fine on my brothers Mac (same year and OS build).
My audio used to work fine through my bluetooth adapters but now the audio is way lower than it should be. This is a recent problem, it worked fine before. I believe an update may have cuased this, then again my brothers mac is working just fine even after the update. I even tried switching the bluetooth adapter and it still has the problem so I know its my Mac.
    Please fix this issue...
Me and my brother Both have 2011 Macbook Pros, running 10.7.4 and the adapters are Blackberry adapters used to receive the audio from my mac and play through my home entertainment system via aux jack from the bluetooth adapter.

  • Yosemite - Bluetooth speaker stops working

I have an issue where my Bluetooth speaker stops working.  It shows up on the devices list under Bluetooth but when I try to connect it does not do anything.
Rebooting fixes the problem.   But then the next day when I try to use the speaker again it does not work.
This started happening with the upgrade to Yosemite.
    Please advise, thanks,
    OS X 10.10.1.  MacBook Pro 15" Retina mid 2012

Scratch that.  Things have improved in 10.10.2 - I am able to reconnect to the Bluetooth speaker more often, but it does sometimes fail and I have to reboot.

  • How can I simultaneously play music through Bluetooth and AirPlay to my Bluetooth speaker and Apple TV?

Hello, I have recently purchased a new Bluetooth speaker and I would like to use it with my already working home audio system which I control with the airplay feature on my Apple TV. I tried to use the airplay function on my iPhone 4S and connect the 2 at the same time but It would only let me connect one. If there is an app that will allow me to connect the Bluetooth speaker and the Apple TV simultaneously thought my iPhone 4S or any other solution please feel free to let me know. Thanks...

There is not one and it cannot be done at this time.

  • Bluetooth Speaker Recognized but Won't Connect to W520 Win7 System

I'm about to return my Creative Bluetooth D100 speaker but thought I'd post here to see if anyone can offer a solution.
The speaker has stopped connecting to bluetooth. It is recognized in the bluetooth control panel.  All bluetooth drivers are up to date.  My bios is the latest verson.  My Lenovo power management and power manager are the latest versions. All my settings are correct (verified by Lenovo tech support.)
I called Lenovo about this issue, they advised to upgrade the Lenovo power manager software and that fixed the problem but only for three days.  Then the speaker suddenly stopped being able to connect again. It happened after switching from A/C to AA batteries, but switching back doesn't fix it, nor does resetting the speaker.
    Any ideas?
    Ellen

    Hello Ellentk,
Have you tried unpairing and reseting the bluetooth speakers then repairing them?

  • Bluetooth Speaker Issues

I have an iMac11,1 Core i7, 27" running 10.6.8.  I have an external bluetooth speaker that I just started using with this mac.  A few issues:
    1) When I turn the speaker on, it connects automatically, but it connects in Mono - which has TERRIBLE sound quality.  I have to manually disconnect it and reconnect in Stereo.  Is there a way for it to automatically connect in Stereo?
    2) There is a slight delay in the audio, about a half to a full second.  For example, if I'm watching a video, the sound from the bluetooth is delayed.  If I disconnect the bluetooth (while letting the video run), the sound is synced when the internal speakers come on; then if I reconnect the bluetooth, it's delayed again.
    3) Is there any way to play through both internal speakers AND bluetooth at the same time? (while of course, being synchronized wrt #2 above)
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mark, my issue was a result of too much fatigue and too few brains. I had merely forgotten to turn on pairing on my bluetooth device. Once I realized my idiotic mistake, it worked immediately. Don’t know what the problem on your side could be. I believe the newest bluetooth technology (iPhone 6) is backward compatible with the oldest bluetooth technology (headphones) so it should work. Might want to check out this link iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections Good luck!

  • Why is my bluetooth speaker connected but sound only comes out of the computer speakers?

My bluetooth speaker (JBL Charge 2) is shown as "connected in the blu tooth section of the task bar. I have also gone to system preferences and the speakers are also shown to be connected and chosen as the main speakers. However, no sound comes out of the bluetooth speaker but rather the sounds still comes out of the computer. speakers. I have tried connecting, reconnecting, and restarting computer. The bluetooth speaker is also shown as connected in bluetooth preferences. What is wrong?

I have tried to connect and Jambox and have the same problem; bluetooth speakers are connected and chosen but sound comes out of computer speakers.

  • ITunes keeps opening itself when I connect to my Bluetooth speaker

Every time I connect my computer to my Bluetooth speaker, iTunes automatically opens itself. I can't figure out what causes this, but it's annoying and I would like for it to stop. Does anyone know what causes this? Thanks in advance

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1666895  but it might work to just disable iTunesHelper.  If you do that you may have to start iTunes whever you want to sync a device instead of it autostarting.

  • After Install IOS 8 and 8.0.2, the Ipad audio was distorted, and the bluetooth connection to audio speaker have wheezing.

After Install IOS 8 and 8.0.2, the Ipad audio was distorted, and the bluetooth connection to audio speaker have wheezing.

I ALSO just updated my brand new iphone 6 to 8.0.2, and I ALSO had my cellular service BRICKED.
All I get on the signal meter is Verizon 1x.  Every so often 3G would popup and you could send a text (no calls though) but it's gone in seconds. So  I can't send texts or make phone calls.
This phone worked immediately before the update and stopped working immediately after the update.
My neighbor has a iphone 5S. He updated to 8.0.2 lat week and had no problems UNTIL just this morning, when his phone stopped working - no cellular voice or data. He downgraded back to ios 8.0 but his cellular service never came back.
Called verizon - was told there were no service outages and then I got transferred to tech team.
Tech team had do all the Apple troubleshooting steps but nothing more. So they said "take it back."
So this BRAND NEW iPhone 6 phone is BRICKED because of iOS 8.0.2.
    Thanks Apple!

  • HT204368 I have a Tango TRX bluetooth speaker that is suddenly not able to connect to my New iPad. It worked fine for a few eeks and now I get the previously unseen "This device not supported by iPad" message. It was supported for three weeks. Thanks

Most of the question is in the discussion header. I have a Tango TRX bluetooth speaker that worked fine for three weeks with my third generation iPad. I started having trouble connecting and recieved the "not supported by iPad" message. It connects just fine until I open any app that requires sound and at thet point I recieve the message and the device disconnects. The Tango still pairs flawlessly with my laptop which is not an Apple product. How could a product suddenly become unsupported?

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
