Issues found after upgrading to win7

Hello
I upgraded to win7 and everything including drivers have gone. I downloaded thinkvantage productive center. It works just like before when I click the shortcut, but there is no response if I press thinkvantage blue buttom. In addition, when I press the sound control buttom the green bar no longer shows up, but it's a minor issue. How can I allocate thinkvantage buttom to the productive center and to the resue and recovery before windows starts?

Hi 342425587,
You need to install hotkey driver:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68000
But install System Interface driver first:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-67228.html
Don't forget to read installation instructions. This is very important!
Hope it helps.

On the system side, everything was fine. the drivers is working properly.. the windows also is showing the volume is in a good shape. Unfortunately the button on the thinkpad is always on the disabled mode. Ive been searching for a related drivers that i could download and solve the issue. but till now all the softwares and drivers downloaded from lenovo could not solve my problem. any suggestion or comment is highly appreciated. thanks a million

    Hi
What happen when you start the webcam application?
All Programs -> Toshiba -> webcam
Did you install some other 3rd party software like for example Skype which would access the webcam?
Additional tip: go to BIOS and set it to default, save the changes and then reboot the notebook.
Start for example Skype, check the Skype settings if webcam has been chosen properly.
Would be really interesting to know if other software would be able to use the webcam.
By the way: did you install the Toshiba Face Recognition? This software use and access the webcam as well
So sometimes it could be possible that this software would block the webcam and the webcam tool could not work

  • Fn-key not working on NB305 after upgrade of Win7

FN-key stopped showing flashcrads on a NB305-N410WH after an upgrade of Win7 Ultimate was applied to the standard Win7 Starter.
I reinstled with latest flashcards utility (2.00.43) and TVAP (1.2.33) but the problem persists. The only possibility to operate flashcards is with mouse but I'd like to get the fn-functionality working. Any idea what I am missing? Thank you.

Reinstalling the keyboard driver (Microsoft 21.06.2006, 6.1.7600.16385) did not help either.
Perhaps someone can post a list of the correct driver versions for this NB305-N410WH. Since it is a relatively new product I did not find anything on the internet.
When searching the download section by OS Win7 32 bit, I only get 12 files for download:

  • Bluetooth was not found after upgrade to 10.4.2

  • Library not found after upgrading to iTunes 7, old libraries don't work

For the second time since iTunes 7 was released, I've been asked to upgrade and did so without issue on the first day of upgrading. When I shut my computer down and came back the next day, however, the library is not found when I attempt to launch iTunes. Before, I simply reverted to iTunes 6 and copy/pasted a "previous library" as the current library. Now, though, I have a new iPod and it needs iTunes 7 to run. I've tried copy/pasting a previous library to the iTunes Library folder with no luck.
90% of my music is in the .m4a format so I need iTunes to listen! Not to mention, I need it to update my brand new iPod. I really need help on this, can someone give any advice? Thanks in advance.

    johnc86,
Are you following the instructions from this article in the Apple Knowledge Base, in particular the renaming of the .itl file from the Previous Libraries folder?

  • Express Card Driver Not found after upgrade to 10.6.7

I upgraded my macbook pro to version 10.6.7 recently and later found out that the express card 34 slot drive was missing and could not access my Sony SxS cards. After some extensive search I found the site where I could retrieve the driver from. It is listed below. Worked for me! It should work for you also.

  • PDF files disappeared after upgrade to Win7

Copied folder with XLS, DOC, PPT and PDF files to a shared server.  Upgraded workstation to Win7. Copied folder to new Win7 workstation. All the Office files are there, but none of the PDF files. Help! Tried to ReIndex, no change. Why would just the PDF files disappear?

yes, but hopefully you deactivated your previously installed adobe programs.
if so, you can install your upgrade programs using your original serial numbers and activate your programs.
if you cannot activate your new installs (becaues you failed to deactivate your previously installed programs), you'll need to contact support.
i've found the help via chat is easy-to-use and quick.

  • The File Could Not Be Found after upgrading to LR5

Upgraded to LR5 on new computer.  Moved existing LR3 catalogs to new computer but kept the original files in their existing place on external drive.  After reinstalling the catalog onto LR5, I get the error message "The File Could Not Be Found".

I figured it out.  Error on my part.  I have a separate drive that these catalogs somehow wound up on over the course of a couple years.

  • IPhoto Library Not Found after Upgrade to Leopard

I was running the newest iPhoto under Tiger and I just upgraded to Leopard. I tried to open iPhoto and a message said, "iPhoto library not found." It was there before I upgraded from Tiger. I mostly use Adobe Bridge so I didn't have much in iPhoto but I'm curious to see why the library disappeared and whether it can be restored. I looked all around on the hard disk and didn't see the iPhoto library anywhere. Thanks.

Yes, it must have been upgrade and install because I followed the defaults. The iPhoto library was in the Pictures folder in Tiger and I never moved it. After the upgrade to Leopard, it was gone--it is no longer in my Pictures folder, nor does it seem to be anywhere else. I didn't touch it--the upgrade made it disappear. Why did that happen? What can be done about it? Thanks very much.

  • Multiple issues arose after upgrading Airport Extreme firmware to 7.41

I recently upgraded my Airport Extreme firmware to 7.4.1 and instantly all my windows machine had issues connecting to the wifi, my Apple TV could no longer connect including a Nokia E71. The only devices connecting were the MacBook and iPhones. For the Windows machines i resolved this by forcing to authenticate using WPA2 AES encription. But the Apple TV and E71 couldn't connect. Also some VPN connection issues arose with my windows machines (iPsec). After 2 days of reluctancy to downgrade the firmware, i was left with no option other than to downgrade to 7.3.2.
I am 100% sure there is a problem with the new firmware, downgrading fixed all the issues without any configuration adjustment.
Apple you dropped the ball on this one, when are we getting a patch to 7.4.1?
    Message was edited by: Macinit

Open Airport Utility. Select the airport from the list on the left (if you have more than one) and then choose Manual Setup.
On the Summary tab that opens, click on Version (that's the word Version, not the version number next to it). A drop-down arrow appears - click it and you should get a list of versions to choose from. 7.3.2 seems OK. Pick it and the device will downgrade and restart.

  • Satellite P300 - lost the Toshiba tools after upgrade to Win7

    Hello everybody,
I bought a Windows 7 upgrade to Toshiba.
    And I have 2 DVD :
1 for the Toshiba upgrade and 1 for the Windows upgrade.
I have run the 2 first steps without problems.
But when I have run the 3rd step (which is the upgrade of the Toshiba tools), an error occured and I wanted to cancel thee process (I have even removed the CD from the CD reader) but the process kept running.
In conclusion the process went to the end but no tools are installed and when I want to run the CD again it acts as if all the tools are already installed and it doesn't run.
What can I do for the system to consider that the tools are not installed ?
Or where can I find another install program which will run the Toshiba tools on my system ?
    Thank you very much.
    Laurent.

  • Modules not found after upgrade to 0.7.1

My last upgrade prior to 1/05/06 was 10/30/05 and that boot was labeled 0.7.1.
I switched to udev some time ago.
The upgrade today seemed to run perfectly (I'm impressed by the obviously skilled work in this process) and I monitored the questions and executed the instructions, including the addition of initrd to grub menu.
System boots properly and I can log in as user.
The command 'startx' produces too many screens to read (I know-use script) but the final display is "no drivers, no modules found, one of which is 'ati'".  Please let me know if you need the full error output of startx.
Did I miss something in the upgrade messages which, of course, are gone now?
    Thanks,
    Bill Barnes

  • Win10 wlan fails after upgrade from Win7

Worked fine on Win7Upgraded to Win10.The WLAN key on the keyboard in now orange, even while booting or in BIOS setup.Device Manager shows the Broadcom WLAN device is active and functioning. Networking can't find the adapter- has an X in the Wi-Fi connect window.Network troubleshooter says to turn on WLAN via switch or keyboard. Since the light on the key is always orange, is it a BIOS issue?WLAN settingss shows WI-FI as Off. You can't change the state to on. (Works fine on my ProBook 6460 on Win10, but that was a clean install.) LAN adapter working fine. I tried an older Win8 driver set from the HP Website. No difference.

No one else having this issue? It's really strange , since device manager says the driver is installed and happy. The F12 key just turns Flight mode on/off -- makes no difference to WLAN working.I even remove the Broadcom WLAN adapter and replaced it, to make sure the connection was good. I hate going back to Win7.
