If the kernel streaming interface is opened for standard streaming and the output pin is created with a WAVEFORMAT_EXTENSIBLE dwChannelMask member of "0", the driver would instanciate the pin, but the pin would not complete a state transition from KSSTATE_STOP to KSSTATE_RUN (or KSSTATE_PAUSE for that matter). This causes an application hang.

It would apppear that OpenSWAN is at fault. These configuration values work on router to router but not Router to OpenSWAN.

T410 loss of network connectivity - Packet Scheduler Miniport driver

Our organisation has recently received its first shipment of T410 laptops. After installing our XP SP3 build we're experiencing an issue whereby the laptops are working pefectly, but after a shut down, the next time the device is powered on network connectivity is lost. In device manager, adjacent to each network adapter device, a new device appears for 'Packet Scheduler Miniport' and each of these has a yellow exclamation mark indicating the device us unavailable.
Rebooting the laptop sometimes resolves the issue, the packet Scheduler Miniport devices disappear from device manager and network connectivity is restored. However, after a subsequent reboot the problem returns. We've tried reflashing the system BIOS but affected machines have the most recent version (1.25, 07/03/2010). We've also tried downloading the relevant network driver directly from intel and installing to no avail.
We've been unable to spot any pattern to the fault occuring, it appears to be completely random. has anyone else experienced similar issues with an XP build on the T410? My searches have brought up similar issues relating to the Packet Scheduler Miniport but nothing specifically in relation to the T410. It's worth noting our build for the T400 contained the same application suite and we haven't had a single issue like this throughout the life of that model.

Go to Solution.Hi I just found your posting regarding the same exact issue I had. The way around this issue is to go to device manager select the Intel adapter for lan and un install it but without removing the application just uninstall the drivers when finish click on scan for new devices and when done you will have a connection it seems like some of the windows 7 libraries clashes with the adapter libraries and fail to acknowledge one to the other.

I have configured odbc 64 bits how is indicated in SQL Interface Guide, but when try to create catalog the message "ODBC Error [DataDirect][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

Updated................Issue resolved!!!
OK. Upon researching other windows forums found that I had to add System DSN to ODBC administrator under "C:\Windows\*SysWOW64*\odbcad32.exe". This is because the server is a windows 64-bit machine.

OBDC Data Source Error - Data source name not found and no default driver specified
Hello,
I get this error whenever I try to use the "Modify Microsoft Access Database" tab to update my
Access 2000 database after a conversion:
Unable to connect to target database.
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager]
Data source name not found and no default driver specified
Now, the weird thing is that when I log in as Administrator and go to the "Control Panel" there is
no "ODBC Data Sources" option to chose from. So I went to the "Microsoft ODBC Administrator"
from the "Configuration and Migration Tools" tab instead. I tried configuring "omwb_msaccess"
under the "User DSN" tab with both the name of my Access file, and the "small.mdb" file that was
in the omb directory. No go for either one. Whatever I try I still get the same pop-up box.
Question:
(1) What should I be putting for the "ODBC Data Source" when I try to Migrate my Access Database?
(2) Any other idea/configuration issue I might be missing that could do this? The process works up
to the Access Update point, and I configured the repository correctly.

I think the problem may be that I'm not entering the right value in the
"ODBC Data Source" field on the Migration Workbench "Modify Microsoft
Access Database" form - the same one where you enter a "Username" and

the standard filename?

I'm running
Red Hat Linux 5, MySQL and BOXI 3.1
I try and schedule a report in the CMC and the report fails with the error
A database error occured. The database error text is: {Driver Manager} Data source name not found, and no default driver specified. (WIS 10901)
I've went through the steps in the Bus Obj's Documentation outlining how to install the unixODBC (though this doco was for R2 - I'm not certain whether this install is needed for 3.1).
Error WIS 10901 details
Database error: . Contact your administrator or database supplier+
for more information. (WIS 10901)
The database that provides the data to this document has generated an error.
Cause
Details about the error are provided in the section of the message indicated
+by the field code: .
Contact your BusinessObjects administrator with the error message

information or consult the documentation provided by the supplier of the

Any pointers suggestions on how to set up correctly the unixODBC will be looked into.

The above code can be used to push the OID request to the driver. Also, the SetInformationHandler in your miniport driver or MiniportOidRequest can handle your OID request for processing.

I'm having issues when trying to use the DB Tools open connection.vi in order to write data to a SQL data table. In my VI I have two different states that handle different data based on a specific test specified to run, but both are inserted into the same SQL table. NativeWifi application not recognizing Miniport Driver over USB
Hi,
We are working in WEC7 Wifi driver over USB interface. We have developed the custom miniport driver.
In our case, when we analyse the Debug prints, Wifi driver is up and scanning properly. But Native Wifi
application is not able to display/indicate anything on UI. It is showing the Adapter as OFF. Same Miniport driver is working fine over SDIO.
Any registry settings or configuration related changes is needed please let me know.

SeethThe problem was solved by unplugging the printer (not just power off), waiting 5 minutes, plugging back in and restarting. Everything is working like a charm - USB, wireless, etc.

IDE Miniport driver for nForce?
I have noticed that AMD itself is using for testing AthlonXP 2800+ with nForce2 the IDE miniport driver in their testbed instead the native WinXP driver.

ManolisIDE Miniport drivers are usually needed when the OS does not have native support for the IDE Controller.
In some cases if the OS have bad support for the IDE Controller it _might_ increase performance. It might also sometimes be needed to solve IDE compatibility issues.
EDIT, NOTE: In some cases where the native OS support does not allow an IDE channel to use UDMA mode, a IDE driver might fix that. -
Is there an issue with the hitachi hard drives in the MacBook Pro's ? Got a 15 inch and a 13 inch at the same time and both drives have failed in under two years. I have heard from a few other people with same issue. Other drive I have had have lasted at least 5 or more years.

I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop (U945-S4140) that came with windows 8. I am trying to install windows 7 enterprise 64 bit.
I have the installation file on a bootable USB stick. In order to boot from the USB, I have to go into the BIOS settings and change from UEFI to CSM boot mode. Then the computer will boot from the usb stick and the windows 7 installation begins to work fine.
However, I soon get an error message that "no drives were found. click to load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation."
I cannot figure out how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Through my university I am granted the rights & license to use a copy on windows enterprise. From them I obtained a valid product key and also downloaded an ISO install file. It seems as if this file was designed to be burned to a dvd. I used windows 7 usb/dvd tool to burn the ISO file to a DVD. No problem there. However, my new laptop does not have an optical drive. So, I borrowed an external one that plugs in via USB. Again, in order to get ANYTHING to happen, I need to boot the USB(dvd rive) in CSM mode. Even then, it doesn't work. (I'm sorry but I forget the specific error I got here.....there have been so many methods and so many errors today)
Now, with this DVD, I have had a little bit of progress if I click the setup.exe file while Windows 8 is running. It begins the Windows 7 setup program, and even sees the harddrive! It asks me what partition I want to install to, and I selected the only 1 (of 4) that it said was 'available' to write to. Then, it loaded the installation files, but when it went to automatically restart, it froze during the 'starting windows' screen just as the little colored circles appear, that eventually form the windows logo. Again, I think the problem here might have been that during the restart, it looked to the USB-DVD drive, which needs CSM mode to boot properly, but Windows 8 can only start in UEFI mode.
Any attempt to put this ISO file onto a USB stick have not worked well. I used Rufus and the only thing that slightly worked was burning the ISO to the USB stick with a 'GPT partition scheme for UEFI controller' with the 'FAT32' file system. When using this to boot, I did not have to change the BIOS to CSM mode. The screen for 'loading files' came up like the installer was going to work. However, the computer then froze during the 'Starting Windows' screen, however, this time the little circles actually were able to form the windows logo. But, at that point I was left with a pulsing windows logo and it was stuck. It did not even make it to the actual installer.
The situation I posted about originally is slightly different. Some tech guys at my department's electronic shop have a bootable USB stick with the windows 7 enterprise installation software already on it. I used that and was at least able to get a little bit into the windows 7 setup before it told me it cannot find a disk to install to (as in my original post). -

I looked through the error logs that could be generated from the tool and found this one which may be what you experienced. Kindly let me know if this is what you got:
"Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to make the USB device bootable. If you need assistance with bootsect, please click the "Online Help" link above for more information."
Some further information is that I found this post where another user experienced the same error on a laptop, although the speculation mentioned in the post is that the user does not have a Windows store account under which he purchased the license for Windows
7 Home Premium, which is the flavor he was trying to get on the bootable drive. However, this does not seem to be a valid response due to the fact that the tool does not check Windows XAuthCert Servers for validation on licensing. So ignore that
portion of the post, but the 2nd post helps a bit by linking to another article, providing both below.

In that first post, further down, is another reply to a tool that I have not tested with. So please use caution on this one as I cannot find very much feedback other than on their own website, but sounds much like the first tool I mentioned in my first
post "Unetbootin", but this one is called Rufus, and two people did mention they had good success with this tool after having difficulties with the Windows utility.

After all that is said and done, there is not 1 tool that will work for everyone all of the time on every environment. Why? I would like to know also...but speculate hardware/firmware/bios combinations could be the culprit. One of these
tools should work for you and it would be my recommendation to try them in this order (skipping what you've already tried):
1) Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool
2) Unetbootin
3) Manually creating the partition and xcopy'ing the extracted ISO to it
4) Rufus
5) Borrow a PC with a DVD-R in it and burn the ISO to a disc and install from it. If your laptop does not have a DVD drive, an external drive can be purchased for roughly $25 or less. Or if you have an internal drive laying around, buy an enclosure
for about $15 and put the drive inside there and attach it to your laptop via USB or eSATA.
As always, my advice is nothing more than my opinion, which are like bungholes...everyone has one and they all stink! LOL!

Please try setting the credentials of the datasource.
1. Double click and open the datasource in your project.
2. Click on the credentials tab, and click on option button 'Use this username and password'
3. Enter the username and password to connect to the datasource
4. Deploy or upload the datasource to the report server and try accessing the reports.

Hi I have SQL2012 installed on my local machine and have also installed MySQL 5.6.23 installed with a test database.
I also have my SQL connector installed and MYSQL ODBC Driver 3.51.
Which happily connects to the Mysqldb.

1. If you use the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit machine, please run the 32bit version of "odbcad32.exe" by running "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe"
from Start/Run menu and
create your ODBC DSN. However, for the 64-bit driver, use c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe to create your ODBC DSN. For more details, please review this similar
