Issues in Premier 12

Our school district is using Premier Elements 12 in our middle school for the first time this year. We are experiencing issues where the students have created an account in Revel and attempt to save pics and slideshows to Revel. The pics save sometimes and the slideshows do not save. Does anyone have any input to share in regards to this issue?
Thanks,
Brian

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
This is my take on your question.....
For your immediate questions about Premiere Elements 12 and Adobe Revel. My first impression of Premiere Elements 12 Adobe Revel were not all that favorable. My thoughts and details on that can be found in my blog post on the subject.
http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/10/pe12-adobe-revel-add-mediapublishshare.html
Where is all this saving to Adobe Revel taking place - in the Elements Organizer 12 or as an upload of a Premiere Elements 12 Timeline content using Premiere Elements 12's Publish+Share/Private Web Album?
a. Elements Organizer 12 - Create/Slideshow/Slideshow Editor
If you wanted to keep this an all Elements Organizer activity, you cannot create a slideshow in the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor and then use
the Elements Organizer/Share/Private Web Album to upload it to Adobe Revel. Adobe Revel only accepts photos for this feature there. And, the slideshow created for output is in a video format.  What you could do, is select individual photos in the Elements Organizer and use the Adobe Revel Share/Private Web Album and arrange for the creation of an album at the Revel account.
b. Elements Organizer 12 - Premiere Elements 12 Integration
Create your slideshow in the Elements Organizer 12 Slideshow Editor, output it to Premiere Elements 12 with the Elements Organizer output option "Edit with Premiere Elements Editor", and then upload the Timeline slideshow to Adobe Revel using Publish+Share/Private Web Album. That should give you a AVCHD.mp4 slideshow at Adobe Revel.
c. Other - All in Premiere Elements 12 - create slideshow and upload to Adobe Revel using Publish+Share/Private Web Album.
Please review and consider, and then we can discuss it further. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • I am experiencing the same issues w/ Premier 10 and Premier Trial 12

I downloaded Premier 12 trial to see if I should upgrae since I no longer can use my Premier 10 due to the Display Driver issues.  When I opened a project I created through the Premier Elements 12 trial version, it opened up in Premier 10 therefore not allowing me to go forward bec the Duspladriver message popped up again.  Why would it default to Premier 10 if i created it in premier 12 trial? Do I have to deinstall Premier 10 first?

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 and 12 running on?
If you are opening a project.prel created in 12, and 10 is opening check (Assuming Windows 7 64 bit computer)
    Control Panel
    Programs
    Default Programs
    Set Association
......Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program
...........look for .prel and set for Premiere Elements 12
    Or
You can right click the project.prel file, select Open with, and select Premiere Elements 12.
Remember, once you edit a project.prel created in an earlier program in a later program, you cannot go back and edit the later version edited one in the earlier version.
As for these display card error messages....
    a. What video card/graphics card is your computer using? Is the computer using more than 1 video card/graphics card?
If NVIDIA GeForce is involved with Premiere Elements 10, have you read the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce announcement at the top of this forum.
Have you attempted to delete the BadDrivers.txt file for Premiere Elements 10 and 12 after you have verified that you have the latest version of the video card/graphics card up to date (applies to all but Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce where you want a driver version roll back not update to latest driver version). Once I know the computer operating system, I can give you specific path to the BadDrivers.txt file that you need to delete.
Please review and consider and then we can discuss what next.
    Thank you.

  • Aspect Ratio Issues in Premier Pro CS 5.5

I'm trying to produce a DVD for my daughter's school and my wife bought me a copy of CS 5.5 to help (thanks lovely wife!).
I made a number of rookie mistakes when originally trying to produce the final video, but I think I have managed to correct most of them. Sadly, the final product still does not play correctly on a DVD player.
Here are the attributes of the original source footage (from Windows):
And here are the settings from PP for a similar file (same settings, just a file from a little later in the filming process)
And finally, here are the settings for the sequence that I created by right-clicking on the footage in PP and creating a new sequence from the file:
The problem is this... The footage plays correctly in PP when previewed. It plays fine when exported as media and played on my PC, but when played through a media player (as a digital file) the aspect ratio is off and the file seems constrained horizontally, which pushes the top and bottom of the footage off screen (not sure I'm describing this well).
Also, when I use Encore to produce a DVD as a test, the same issue occurs. So I can only assume that the problem is the render from PP.
Can anyone help? Do you need more info to help? I'm getting frustrated... time for a beer while I wait for replies.
    Thanks in advance

Once I realised that I'd made some mistakes with the processing, I started doing some tests with a sample piece of footage. This has allowed me a much shorter render time when testing the settings.
    Here's what I did:
I took the piece of footage and imported it into a blank Premier Pro project (with no sequences). Then I created a new squence from the file (by right-clicking and selecting "create new sequence from file). Then I dickered with the footage, inserted some picture in picture and changed the speed of some of the footage (all things I intend to do with the final production). Then I sent that to a brand new Encore project created by sending the sequence via dynamic link.
Once I was in Encore, I made sure the project made sense (set the end action etc...) then I set it to build a .ISO file. I then burned that to disc (a standard 4.7Gb DVD-R) and I also sent the ISO to my DViCO TViX media player. Whether I play the disc on my Sony Blu-Ray player or the ISO on my media player, the aspect ratio is wrong. But if I play the same ISO or disc on my PC - it works fine!
I've yet to try it on another player, but I think there's something fundamentally wrong with my process, or the way I'm doing this.
Here's a piece of footage from a camera that had EXACTLY the same setting as the original footage (I used this piece of footage because it's straight from the camera - most of the files from the main camera are too big to share):

(If that didn't work, I can try again...)

  • High FPS Video performance issue. Premier Pro CC.

Hello, I have been working on this project.
The recording I used are recorded with Nvidia Shadowplay at Max bitrate (50 mbps and H.264) and 60 FPS.
Now I did record the game Counter Strike: GO. And while recording the time scale was set to 1/4. So in Premier Pro I accelerated the recording by 400% to get back to real time. Which makes the videos effectively 240 fps Full-HD recordings.
Now I used the short-cut CTRL+SHIFT+F11, to see my CUDA's rendering information.
At first it plays a smooth target 60 fps, but it doesn't take long for it to go down to 3-6 fps. Which is simply impossible to work with.
Now my question is, can I tell Premier Pro to only render at say 60 or 50 fps? Basically let it skip frames in order to maintain at least 24 fps for the view port editing purposes?
Final render of the project is targeted at 60 FPS for YouTube.
    Sincerely, Julian Blau
    My gear:
Intel i7-920 (OC to 3.9 GHz)
    Nvidia GTX 680 (MSI TwinFrozr)
Samsung 840 SSD for cache in Premier Pro's Media Settings.
Media is stored on a Regular HDD (600 GB)

I am having the same issues.
Im working on a late 2012 iMac, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7. 32 Gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX, OS X 10.9.4.
I'm editing RED footage, about 3 TB worth for this project from a Promise Pegasus drive.
The software really slows down when using the TYPE tool and also when scrubbing through footage.
When I attempt to quite the software and restart, the interface goes away but the app is still running but says "not responding" when I attempt to force quit.
If you've figured it out since then Id love to know what works.
    Thanks!

  • Rendering file formats problem (non-issue in premier)

    hello all,
so i'm new to final cut and baffled at the unusual render issues i've encountered from the get go.
i recorded some video using the canon fs-10 / fs-20, a lowend digital camcorder.
the camera outputs the format to .mod which i then converted to .mpeg4.
without any editing in FC, a single clip needs to render just to view it in the canvas but plays ok in the viewer. does this make any sense?
i've even tried to convert to .mov and .avi.
when i used a different camera that automatically records in .mov, final cut plays back in the canvas just fine without rendering.
    so,
    1. what exactly determines when FC renders if not the file format?
    2. why does it need to render at all if i'm just playing back? it plays back in the viewer but not the canvas. baffling.
would be a real shame if FC couldn't handle simple editing with these basic files.
    thanks!

Just grabbing software, and throwing video files at it, without taking the time to read or learn HOW this said application works, isn't wise. FCP isn't Premiere...FCP doesn't just take in any old QT file and then work with it. No. It needs to be converted to a format that FCP works with. What you see in the EASY SETUP list is what FCP works with.
If you don't bother to learn the basics of the application, then things won't go smoothly. If you just want to grab QT files and throw them into an application to start editing, then use Premiere.
    1. what exactly determines when FC renders if not the file format?
If it isn't in the Easy Setup list...FCP will want to render it. If you mix two or more codecs in a sequence, then FCP will render the footage that differs from the main footage you are editing with.
    2. why does it need to render at all if i'm just playing back?
Because It is viewable in the Viewer...that's just a window to the QT file. But the canvas is where things are put together. And that is where settings are determined.
would be a real shame if FC couldn't handle simple editing with these basic files.
Basic files that aren't in editable codecs. At least ones that FCP (and Avid) work with. If you want an app that just works with stuff you throw at it, Premiere and Vegas are for you.

  • Rendering issue in Premier Elements 12

Every time I render my timeline and the timeline turns green and I save it as a rendered file.  Each time I reopen the complete rendered timeline the timeline is now orange?  Do I have a setting wrong?  Is there an update to resolve this issue?

    Mitch6149
Just a note that the present discussion does not touch on the fact that saved/closed rendered and then re-opened unrendered look is a long time Premiere Elements known issue. It dates back several versions and is associated with various computer operating systems, and a spectrum of source media. In this issue, the preview files of the render remain alive and well in their hard drive save location. There is no fix other than to move on in the re-opened project or re-render or not render as is felt necessary in the re-opened project. The event can be encountered all the time or only sometime for a given user. And, one user can experience the problem while another does not.

  • Slide show issues in premier 10

I can't seem to be able to  space slides evenly over a specific length of time.. (multi song duration) in Adobe Premier Elements 10.  any help would be apprecieated.

There are a number of ways to do this, depending on what exactly you're trying to do.
Among the options are, you can:
    1) Designate a specific length for each slide before you create your slideshow;
    2) Use one of the slideshow creators to create a slideshow that cuts at specific times; or
    3) You can output your slideshow as a video, bring that video into Premiere Elements and then lengthen or shorten it as needed (say to match the length of a song) and it will shorten or lengthen each slide equally.
Just depends on what your goals are and how you're trying to accomplish it.

  • R3D importing issue to Premier Pro CC (Crashes)

Premier Pro CC Crashes when i try to import R3D 4k files. If I filter out so only r3d files are showing and list it as a file directory i manage to locate the files when it says "Processing..." and force shuts down after 20 second. Also if i just load the R3D folder it says "Reading" and force shuts down after 30 seconds. Mostly shot on 4k 1.9:1 25fps. (i7 3,5GHz/32GBram/win7x64/ssd) What can i do to fix it?

  • Play back issue using premier pro on mac book (snow leopard)

I have installed Adobe creative suite 5.5 on mac pro (snow leopard). I have attempted to playback my edited video and it does not work. I have read the faqs and followed what ever instructions I have found from the forum postings. I have reinstalled the product and repaired administator permissions. Can anyone assist me in resolving this issue urgently. Thank you Michael.

I have fixed this problem myself by searching the forum with argument "playback" "playback_issue". This a known problem. Go to link for a solution http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/playback-stops-loops-soundbooth-premiere.html
    Thanks to myself.

  • Issue with corrupted file when dragging to timeline

Has anyone ever had an issue with a files audio becoming corrupted when moving the file from the editing window to the timeline.  I am also seeing the my camtasia mp4 becomes blurry on the timeline but plays fine in the editing screen.
I had not problem with camtasia Mp4s previously and today I have had so many issues with premier pro

    Hi,
Even i faced this issue before...the problem with file adapter is the attribute nxsd:quotedBy takes " as default even if u dont mention it takes the same and now after the quotes it immediately expects | wch is not there in the data and it throws the error...now the fix for the problem is put some symbol for nxsd:quotedBy wch u never expect in the data some thing like less than or greater than symbol ....some thing like below
    <element name="FieldTwo" type="string" nxsd:style="terminated"
    nxsd:terminatedBy="|" nxsd:quotedBy="<"/>

  • Premier Pro CC 2014 Crashing on OSX 10.8.5

    Hey there,
Im having the issue of Premier crashing constantly. I cant seem to figure out why. Is anyone else having this issue?
    Lach

I have submitted at least 4 crash reports when they have come up and resulted in the prompt to submit them.  I do not have hard copies of them accessible currently.  I know that two of them resulted in PPro being unable to save the current state of the project and at least the other two were "recoverable" after the prompt that an error was encountered and the project would be saved.  A bug report has also been submitted.
This is extremely reminiscent of the AE CC2014 behavior that seemed to "build" to a GPU-related memory leak crash after scrubbing audio.  With that memory leak the system started to feel sluggish, performance dwindled, then the software would either crash or lockup - sometimes with a crash prompt, other times completely unrecoverable.  That's the same behavior that I'm experiencing with PPro CC 2014.2 currently.
At this time I have not switched the render to software only, though that will be the next step.  A few effects/plugins are GPU accelerated and I really don't want to lose performance.  I also have not rebuilt the project, exported XMLs and re-imported, or any of the other typical workaround solutions.  I am just trying to get a project finished and meet a deadline - those methods more often than not require rebuilding a lot of the finishing parts of a project.

  • Application error 0xc000007b when trying to open premier elements

I have just downloaded Premier Elements 12 but it willnot run.  Every time I get an application error message 0xc000007b. I have re installed the system 5 times but with the same result. I have no problems with any other programme on my computer.  I have checked for viruses etc but to no avail.  Is this a set up problem

    ATR
Sorry but you are talking to someone who switches on a computer and expects it to work.  Unfortunately your question regarding device managers  and display adapters is all foreign to me.  I do not have a specific graphics card but have viewed movies in other programmes.  I have worked with elements for some time now and only have this issue with premier elements.
I have tried various methods suggested but they seem to lead down to paths requiring me to clean the computer by removing thousands of files.
I have a feeling there is some incompatibility between 32 bit and 64 bit loading but not sure yet where.
    Regards

  • My nested clips in Premier Pro CC 2014 are performing unpredictably.

Back in July I had some issues with Premier Pro CC 2014 (my projects would suddenly stop rendering due to an unknown error). I stopped using Premier Pro CC 2014 and went back to the previous version.
I am once again giving Premier Pro CC a try, but I am experiencing oddity after oddity with it.
My latest issue is with nesting layers. I have a small animation of dials going around a clock face. It looks fine layered on my timeline. When I nest the three elements, I can watch a few frames and then all I get is a black screen.
I'm well versed in nesting and I know my layers are fine. No filters or settings have been applied that could possibly make my nested sequence suddenly fall to black midway through.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with their nested sequences?
I'd love to hear any feedback you might offer!
    Regards,
    Len

Yeah, I've noticed that Premiere treats it's multicam clips in more unique way now, they used to more or less be nested sequences.  It seems like whatever changes they were trying to make, they were only half built.
Having your project in a single folder is good practice in the future, too, though.  It keeps projects contained, especially if they need to be handed off to other editors or stored long-term.
I usually divide my folders into:
    assets
    footage
    exports
    project files
    other
and everything comes out pretty neat and organized.
    Cheers!
    Jason
