Issues in the aging report

Dear Experts,
I have a scenario wherein we clear partially a vendor open item with debits or with payments, but system shows both line item as open by which our aging report is not correct.
Can we clear open item to the extent of partial payment and show only the remaining balance as open item and still the baseline date as per original document but for the remaining amount in FBL1N.
Please advice.

Your report will be correct only when you follow the 'Residual' method for partial payments.
Secondly, your remaining open item should also reflect the correct aging..right?
For this, you need to do the below mentioned configuration.
Here for each selected company code and currency combination, you have to do this setting;
This will solve your problem.

I am facing issues in the standard report S_ALR_87012357 "Advance Return on tax Sales/Purchases" where I am trying to pull the tax posting report for the current period.Here I would like to see the tax postings which are done with the custom t code ZFB01L (mass upload of data) which is the replica of FB01L. The issue here I see is, any postings done via custom t code with tax code does not appear in the standard report t code S_ALR_87012357. Please advice whether is there any alternative transaction code or program where in I can get all tax postings similar to this standard report or do we have to create a custom t code to get such report with the help of ABAPer.

AR - Customer Statement - differences when compared with the Aging report

I am running the customer statement (the Print Statement program) 'as of date' say 11-Jun-09, and found that the 'Total Amount Due' for a customer is not agreeing back to the balance displayed on the Aging Screen (Navigation: Collections -> Customer Accounts [Aging butto]) for the customer.
The 'Total Amount Due' on the statement is greater than the balance on the aging report/screen.
It appears that the statement is selecting more receivables transactions (invoices, credit note, payments etc...) than the aging report is looking at. Also the aging buckets on the statement does not tie back to that on the aging screen /report for example the '4 Bucket Aging Report'.
My questions are:
1, Is it possible for the 'Total Amout Due' on the statement to differ from the balance on the aging report/screen?
2, What factors or reasons might cause the above senario to occur?
3, How can one start to investigate this in order to account for such differences?
Ideally what I would like to do is run a sql script that will show what is being selected for the statement 'as of' a particular date for a customer, and another sql that will show the same customer account balance and aging buckets at the same 'as of' date.
And perhaps another sql that would show the same customer open receivable transactions.

Please check if you are running the Aging Report from the By Journal Posting tab and also checked Display Reconciled Transactions

Facing Issue with Stock Ageing report

In Blocked Stock Ageing report Output, I am facing following issues
1. Stock is correct but once we include the "Reason For Movement" then the aging is getting wrong and in some cases value is coming Negative.
2. In some cases "Reason For Movement" is coming in ‘#’, but this is a mandatory field. Hence cannot be blank.
Note:
1. Overall stock is coming correct.
2. Reason Movement chat. is in free char
3. Report is based 0IC_C03.

Reason for Movement is loading from what attribute? check in RSRV for that attribute.
RSRV-->All Elementary Tests ->Master Data ->Compare Size of P-, Q- with X- and Y- Tables respectively .
If it has any error then correct that error in RSRV. It will solve your problem.

Page Numbering for the aging report

Hi,
Does any one know how I can achieve the following:
For the customer ageing report we need to print all customer statements at once. On our print layout we currently use the following CurrentPage()/TotalPages() formula fields to dispaly the page number. The result we get is 1/10, 2/10, 3/10....etc.
We actually need the following, for total 10 pages statement would like to display the page number as follows:
Customer A: 1/1
Customer B: 1/3, 2/3, 3/3
Customer C: 1/1
Customer D: 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5
Does anyone know how to achieve the above for continuous print?

You are trying to print the detailed aging report. Right?
It seems that there is no way of "splitting" the page numbers within a collection report.
The system could not count the pages for EACH customer.The total number per pages will be per whole document, and cannot be per business partner within the same document when using the formula currentpage().

Arabic font issue in the pdf report in fusion middleware 11.1.1.2

we are migrating from windows to red-hat Linux web logic 10.3.2 and fusion middle-ware 11.1.1.2 that worked perfectly in the windows after making compliation and publishing the application on redhat i found there is arabic font issue in the reports with the arabic language and it appeared if we print more than five paper in pdf as the the last two paper have no issue but the issue in the first printed paper
there is something also if we print one or two or three paper it print arabic fony fine
any help will be appreciated

Issue using the Eclipse report designer with Derby Client JDBC Driver

Ted,
When I connect to the Derby database in Eclipse using the embedded driver, I can successfully drag and drop tables to create a report. This driver uses the derby.jar file and has no package sealing violations popping up.
 
 
When specifying a driver for a new derby database in Eclipse, the default Derby client driver expects to use the derbyclient.jar driver file. If I only specify this as the driver file this is the error I get:

The error I initially posted resulted after I added the derby.jar as a driver file in addition to the derbyclient.jar, which I don't think is supposed to be done now that I am thinking about it, but I did it because of the class not found exception above. Is this perhaps simply a bug that it is trying to utilize the derby.jar embedded driver when the client driver should be used instead? Or am I doing something wrong myself?

Load time issue for the Crystal Reports

My reports take painstakingly longer time to load and display due to the number of records it has to display (~10000 records)
Currently i use the loop approach to provide the logon info for all the reports/subreports. This is the place where i presume it is taking time.

You need the "loop part" - at least I'd be way more comfortable if you use it. From my experience, you have a more robust app when you loop through the tables.
reason I asked about subreports; if a subreport is inthe detail section and you have a 1000 records in the detail, and the subreport runs per record, you are essentially running 1000 + 1 reports. Obviously this will take a significant amount of time. As it is even 10 to 15 subreports is quite significant as you are running the subreports plus the main report... Possibly the best way for you to compare the speed is not run the report in a CR designer.(e.g.; what I am asking is; OK, the report is slow. Compared to what?) As you are using CR 10.2, I'd recommend downloading an eval of either CR XI r2 or CR 2008 and see how the reports perform there. If the performance in the designer is slow, it will not get any faster at runtime.

- it will, as long as the subreports are using the same connection type as your main report. However I really would not get hung up on loop v.s. no loop. As a matter of fact, this subreport database logon uses loop s as well and it is the recommended way of connecting the subreports:

Issue with the supshare Report Script Command

Hi All,
I have created a report script to extract the Level0 data for the members of the accounts dimension and It does work fine and the performance is also good. However I have a challenge here. The shared members are repeating and therefore I used “<supshare” command in order to avoid the repetition. It does work, however there is an issue here.
For eg, I am trying to retrieve the data as below and they are level0 members. The NetExpense is a “Level0” member and also a “shared member”, However the original “Net Expense” comes under Level3 and since I have used <Supshare and asked to retrieve only Lev0 accounts it is therefore ignoring the “Net Expenses” for all the Dept and product intersections. Hope I am clear and not confused? Is there anything i could change or add to retrieve the correct data.
Would anyone be able to help me on this issue.

Thanks Glen. I tried the below link statement. This is an example. My accounts dimension has 8 childern (A to H) out of which 4 are level 0 members ("B"to "E") and the remaining have so many members underneath. The member"H" is where my confusion starts, it has 4 children (Ex 1,2,3,4) and all are shared members. Here i need not worry about children 2 and 3 since they have no data. Children 4 is a level 0 and a shared member, however the Children 4 main location is also located at Level 0. Therefore when i use supshare this appears only once. one problem is solved.
Now coming to Children 1, this is a Level 0 for parent "H", however this is also a child of "A" and this by itself has levels underneath. So this Sup share is not allowing me to retrieve the data Child 1 though it is level 0 and since it is shared member.
This case how do i modify the report in such a way i get all level 0 data of my accounts and suppress shared members. Hope i have not condused...

Count of Service Orders issue in the Bex Report

Hi Experts,
I have a report displaying the Count of Service Orders. The count of service orders I have brought using replacement path variable.
The count is getting displayed correctly. When I have the service order in a single record.
The moment I drag and drop the material from the Free Characteristic pane. The count of Servie order increases because the same service order is repeated for Material A ( in the First Line) and Material B ( in the Second Line ).
And my report doesn't have any keyfigure to built an Exception Aggregate.
Can anyone please tell me how do I make my Count to read only the unique Service orders.

I have already referred to this link and created the count of Service orders. But it is not uniquely identifys the service order numbers.
Irrespective how many number of time the same service order gets repeated in the report it should only give me a count as 1 for other service order as 2.

The duplex issue in the Crystal report

I am developing Purchase Order print document. I have a Crystal Reports 9 for Visual Studio .NET. My program prints set of the P/Os and each of metioned P/O has its own Terms and Condition Information.(one-two pages of text information saved in Memo field). My crystal report's structure is following: Group1 Header: unique PO number; group header is printing on each page, it is only suppressed if the Terms and Condition Information is printed Details a: Some client information; Details b: Details for PO, for example Ship information; Details c: Subreport with Detail lines for PO; ... Details l: Summary amount Information for whole PO; Details k: Terms and Condition Information; it is printed on separate page Grout 1 Footer; there is a signature line for PO Could you please advise me if it possible and how to print Terms and Condition Information (Details k part) on each even page? Or maybe I need change structure of report? For example, I have PO that takes 3 pages and Terms and Condition Information takes 1 page. So, I would like to have report with 6 pages wit 3 duplex pages: 1: PO page 1; Terms and Condition 2: PO - continue page 2; Terms and Condition 3: PO - continue page 3; Terms and Condition 

Conditionially suppress the section usingÂ Remainder(PageNumber,2) = 1.Â That should suppress it for odd pages.Â If it doesn't, try the opposite.Â :)Â Make sure the section is at the same level as your PO grouping as we will need to have it repeat with each PO.

Asking Exchange rate at the time of Customer aging report

Dear All,
I am facing one problem, when I am asking customer aging report the system is asking to enter exchange rate.but at the time of vendor aging is working fine does not asking any exchange rate,this problem happens only one specific user, not for other users.
In other users it is working fine.Do we need to do any configuration for that user for working this customer aging report.
Please give solution as soon as possible

We faced the same problem today.
Finally, we found out the user accidentally selected the currency which we didn't set the exchange rate in the aging report.
After the aging report is generated, we can change the currency in the upper left corner.
If we didn't set the rate of that currency, it will keep asking.
Even if we close the aging report and open again, it will still ask for that currency before it could generate the report
When we set the rate of that currency, it will not ask exchange rate again

would like to recommend you to refer to the following note： 1228363-Business Partner Balance does not match journal entries。
In any SAP Business One version lower than 2007, 2 separate
reconciliation engines were employed. One reconciliation engine worked
on the marketing document level, where partial reconciliation was
supported & the other worked on the journal entry level, where only
complete reconciliation was supported.
This duality led in some instances to reconciliation inconsistencies
which were initially highlighted with SAP Business One version 2004
patch level 29, where the red message 'Business Partner balance does not
match journal entries' was displayed when running the ageing report by
sales documents & inconsistencies were detected.
In the year end closing guides (available for download from the
Documentation Resource Centre) SAP have always recommended to run the
ageing reports by journal posting.
In 2006, SAP published note 752261, now retired, documenting the system
behaviour & offering a series of 'Select' queries to aid in
reconciliation inconsistency analysis. These queries were an excellent
tool but now SAP can offer a faster, better & more accurate solution.
In SAP Business One 2007 A & B the reconciliation engines have been
unified & partial reconciliation on journal entry level is now fully
supported. Any database that is upgraded from a lower version undergoes
a complex series of reconciliation upgrade algorithms, where any
reconciliation inconsistency is identified & a reconciliation upgrade
(RU) journal entry is automatically created. This RU journal does not
document any accounting transaction, but simply creates an update in the
'Balance Due' column, thus notionally re-openeing previously
inconsistently reconciled transactions.
These RU journals are then available for internal reconciliation.
