Issues in WIP stocks

Few process orders where the output was declared and TECO completed in Sep-10. But these orders are coming as part of WIP inventory in the month end after the ACR is completed.
Pl look into this and help us to understand the reason behind this phenomenon. In case this happened due to some wrong operation in SAP, then we can take measured to avoid this in future.

Hi Abdul ,
Please Check wether configuration in transaction OKG3 is maintained correctly.( Valuation Methods)
For Combination of RA Version and RA Key .. you should have 4 status ..
Status                      RA Type
REL                           WIP Calculation on Basis of Actual Costs
DLV                           Cancel Data of WIP Calculation and Results Analysis
PREL                         WIP Calculation on Basis of Actual Costs
TECO                          Cancel Data of WIP Calculation and Results Analysis
Are you use only one RA Key or have multiple keys .. check the same and configurations.

  • How to Upload WIP Stock

    Dear All
Here an issue regarding WIP stock
    1. One semi finish material having 4 operations , out of 4 operations,2 operations are completed before Go live ,remaining 2 operations has to be done after Go live
    2. WIP stock as on cut off date is 100 pieces ,for 100 pieces, the raw material of 10 kg is issued.
Some body is suggested as raw material of 10 kg has to bring in stock, then order to be created for 100 pieces , raw material of 10 kg to be issued for that order ,confirmation to be done for first 2 operations the  remaining 2 operations will be confirmed after Go live .
please  suggest me in what way I have to proceed
    Regards
    Anil

    Hi,
As of the cut off date, ideally there should not be any work in process. All the open production orders should be closed and semi finished goods should be dismantled and should be added to Raw materials. This strategy should be followed for all production orders where lead time to complete the production order is not large.
Since, the production orders are for longer duration and it is not possible to dismantle the product and add it to inventory, following can be the strategy for migrating the data to SAP:
    - Create a material master for the work in process and set the standard price as the cost incurred for that product (ie. Work in process)
    - Create a bill of material (which will be used only for this production order) including this material and other materials still to be consumed.
    - Create Routing for rest of the production process.
    - Bring the work in process material into inventory as of the cut off date.
    - Create the production orders in SAP for the Work in process and issue materials to production order.
Complete the production process after the cut off date of the project.

  • Issue with opening stock balance in 2LIS_03_BX in BW

    HI GURUS,
for some of the material we are not getting correct inventory stock available in BW report.
where we have customised KF for inventory stock-non cumulative (based on difference of stock receipt and issued).
The stock qty is  not considering the opening stock balance and hence this is coming as -ve in BW report.
and but i checked the data in cube stock issued = stock received so ideally the stock should be zero .Also i have seen that i am not able to see stock intilized data in cube .
also i ran the report for posting date on which stock intilization was done in BW and stock for material is coming as zero
so hence all material where we have problem are those which has opening stock balance in  BX data source.
we have also checked in R3 in t code MB51/52 and the stock available is zero but BW report shows -ve stock.
Note that this problem is not for all stocks and also marker update settings are correct. We have also checked settings in RSDV .they are maintained relative to time..
Please share your thoughts on this issue..
    thanks
    nilesh

Have you compressed requests other than BX load and BF init load? If not run the infocube with 0RECORDTP = 1. This will give you the inital stock setup by the BX load. By default, when you run the non-*** infocube you will get records with RECORDTP '0' only. Whenever compression is done, the reference points get changes and records get written with RECORDTP '1'. If subsequent BF delta loads are also compressed i guess it would be difficult to differentiate. We have an OSS note on the importance of RECORDTP. Please check in service market place.
One important point to note is that the BF init shoud have been done for the same selections as the BX load as the load (BF init) brings in movements for the stock already setup by BX. If there are differences in the selections for the 2 loads initially or setups were done on different days for these datasources, you could endup with issues.

  • Goods Issue of consigmnent stock using MIGO

    Hi Guru's,
I have configured stock determination group, rule header and iteam for consigment material.  I have also assigned Stk. Deter. Rule in the Applications but am still unable to issue from consignment stock in my warehouse.
I have reservation and want to issue to 261K allowing the system to show that this is consignment stock and the vendor.
I have been able to do this in MB26 Pick List however I am still not able to do this in MIGO-GI.  Stock determination icon is grayed out in MIGO-GI.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    thanks
    Diane

    Hi Csaba,
Thanks for your reply... I have this config already set up and I still have the issue with icon grayed out.  I cannot determine consigment stock from vendor.   My settings for mtce plant includes the oper 4 check during picking.
    I have:
Stock determination group assigned to my plant with the following:
Rule 2000 Consume consignment, then own
Priority indicator is1 for K, 2 for F unrestricted own stock
Also movement 261 is configured for production order to consume consignment, then own.
    any ideas?

  • WIP stock report

    Hi ,
One of my process industry clint required a stock report on every month end ( Last working day of the month)  , stock report  should show clear indicatation for Physical stock and WIP stocks .
Can any one suggest a method to get WIP stocks .
    Thanks in advance
    sekhar

    Hi Sekhar ,
There is no standard report  for WIP stock you need to create  z Report
or  in COOISE  select list as  1) Component 2) item
In component you will get  Order quantity and   Delivered quantiy
and in Item you will get    Order quantity and confirm quantity
WIP = Confirm quantity - Deliver quantity ( with reference to order quantity)

  • Restrict Goods Issue for Reserved Stock

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to restrict goods issue of stock qty which is reserved.
For that i have created checking rule and assigned to MIGO_GI because we need to consider only reservation .
Now when i create manual reservation system gives msg as per config.
e.g current unristricted stock is 100 qty
manual  reservation  created for  10 qty
System gives msg if i issue material more than 90 qty. It is working properly
Now pb is system is not considering reservation created by  process order confimation.
I already assing checking rule with Checking grp for availability check and also set properties.
in include dependant reservation i set - x - Include all reservations.
I need to restrict goods issue for reserved stock for reservation created by process order.
    Thanks in Advance
    Janak

    Hi Janak,
When a reservation is created automatically or manual, it will depicts the requirement of the material for the specific department/process. BUt it doesnot restrict or label the material as reserved. This is because the acutal requirement/consumption may vary from the reserved quantity. Also the stock still remains in the un-restricted stock and hence its open to be issued.
Now if you want restrict the stock for automatic reservation, then you can make an enhancement wherein the stock is moved to required stock type. But this will block the stock for the order even if it is not required.

  • Wip Stock Value

Dear Friends , I have to develop a report of WIP stock . Can any one tell me the name of tables which stores information regarding WIP material and its quantity and value .

    Dear Rajan,
WIP stock   means work in Progerss stock. This stock will be generally available on production line .In SAP we define diofferent material code for diffrent stages of material for ex Ram Material will have one number, semifinish will have one number. In semifinish also based on varoius stages in processing can have dofferent number for ex turning stage , heat treatment stage etc.Production line will be defined by some cost center. We can find stock at any point of time with the help of code number & location.
Please  check if it is helpful,
If i get more clue i will post message,

  • Whether it is possible to make auto goods issue below safety stock level

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I am implementing MRP for generating stock transfer Planned orders from a Main Mother Plant to different Plants. We have defined a Safety stock level for materials at main Plant level.
There is a auto program available for generating auto goods issue against Purchase orders.
System picks up Qty as long as unrestricted stock exists for the material during auto goods issue.
System dont pick up any Qty below safety stock level (manual goods issue works below safety stock level).
We are defining safety stock to meet sudden requirements and have time for new procurement.
But it should allow us to do auto goods issue below safety stock level.
Whether this is possible and what need to be done ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    R.Velmurugan.

    Hi Velmurugan,
I don't think auto GR is a problem from safety stock. Auto Gr can be done by two ways.
    1. Control key and assigning the control key in operation(Preferably in last operation)
    2. In production scheduling profile you can do it. You have to assign the production scheduling profile in material master work scheduling view.
    Regards,
    Krishnendu.

  • WIP STOCK

    Dear Experts
I have 10 operations in the routing. I issue rawmaterial to first operation and do GR at final operation.
all the operations are having a long execution time. If i want to see the stocks at each level, how is it possible with out creating a new material number at each stage of operation ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

    Parameshwar,
there is a functionality called WIP batches.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20ff2779-f9d3-2b10-9dab-e9d84c5953c5?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
by this, you can see the inventory at each operation provided you confirm at operation level.

  • Issued Vendor wise stock Report - Standard

    Dear All,
We are using Subcontracting method in materials management.
Scenario - We indent materials from me51n and place the Material Purchase Order and then Receive the materials which come into the stock at GNST with movement type 101 and then we issue this material to the Contractor (541) and consume ( 543 ) the same material in the service PO in the line item. Is there any standard single report where .
    1. Material indent Qty  - ordered Qty - GR qty - Issued to contractor Qty - Consumed Qty along with the values.
    Regards,
    Farhan

    hi
    >1. Material indent Qty - ordered Qty - GR qty - Issued to contractor Qty - Consumed Qty along with >the values.
not posssible to get it in sngle std report
so go for the abap developement
u can have reference of report ME5A for PR ME80Fn for po and GR report and for subcontracting raw material we can use ME2O report
just try to create new z report with ref of these

  • Sales orders with credit issues taking availability stock

    Hi,
I am doing confirmation using Global ATP in APO. The confirmation is well done, but the confirmed quantity for sales orders with clients that have credit issues is taken the available sotck for other sales orders with ok clients that I want to confirm the quantity they ordered.
    For example:
    Stock: 10 PC
Client A order 15 PC and 10 are confirmed, but the ordered is retained becuse of credit issues with client A.
Then client B order 3 PC, but nothing is confirmed because the ordered for client A is reserving the stock (note: this would be ok if client A had not credit issues).
So, I want that the 3 PC for client B are confirmed and the 10 PC not reserved for the cient A while client A has credit issues.
How could I configured, so that the orders with credit issues do not reserve stock for the incoming orders?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi DB49,
    thanks for the quick answer.
I checked the configuration in the R3 and seems to be fine. To prove it, I disconnect APO and did the availability check in the R3 system and it is working fine; the orders quantities that are blocked because of credit issues, do not reserve stock for incoming orders.........son new incoming orders are well confirmed.
But after connecting APO the problem continues. I checked the next points.
In R3 transaction CO09: takes to the APO screen and you see the ATP available quantity OK (do not consider the quantities of the credit issues orders). But at the moment that you make the order (VA01) it does not confirm any stock and if you select the line and go to the ATP screen (the same you get from the CO09) the quantities of credit issues orders are taken into account..the ATP availability quantity changes from the first going directly from the CO09.
    What could it be?
Note: it was working fine with APO, I started to have the issue after implementing note 1262475 in APO. This note was becuase the BAPI_APOATP_CHECK was not brigning any value for the ATPQTY_***.
    Thanks a lot!!!
