Issues Installing SmartView 11.1.2.2

When I attempt to install SmartView 11.1.2.2, I receive a pop up that says "You must install microsoft office 2010 or later before smartview can be installed". What confuses me is that I have Office 2010 and Office 2007 is not even installed on my machine.
Has anyone ran into this issue? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Aaron

Which version are you installing, SmartView.exe or SmartView-x64.exe?
The latter is NOT for a 64 bit operating system but for 64 bit Office so download the 32 bit version and you should be good to go.

  • How to install smartview 11

    hi,
I had some problems with the SmartView 9.3 functionality. Oracle support told me that the problems are solved with version 11.
SmartView 11 is compatible with Essbase 9. So I tryed to install SmartView 11, but as I expected is not enough.
If I try to connect the following error appears:
"Smart View client can not connect to the previous version of APS. Update the provider."
What else must I do and that impacts can have?
    Thanks

I am going to say first, to make sure you read the installation guides for all the products you plan to install. So you fully understand the implications of the upgrade you are doing.
For your issue with no exe you first have to download the System Installer and usually the foundation (4 parts) pieces and extract them into a single directory then extract the APS zip into the same directory. Then you will be able to run the installer.
Here is a snip-it from the epm_install.pdf that is include in the start here download on edelivery.
1 Create a directory to store the EPM System files.
You can download files to a shared drive, or to each machine in your deployment. If you
are installing from a network drive, map this drive. This directory is referred to as /
    download_location in this procedure.
Tip: Oracle recommends that you download files to a shared drive.
2 Download the following files from the “Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System” page of
    the Oracle® E-Delivery (http://edelivery.oracle.com/) site into /download_location:
l EPM System Installer (Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance
Management System Installer, Fusion Edition Release 11.1.1.3.0).
l ZIP files for the products you purchased. ZIP files include installation assemblies
(product plug-in installation files for EPM System Installer).
Review the Media Pack Readme on Oracle® E-Delivery to see which ZIP files to
download depending on the products you purchased. (To see the Media Pack Readme,
once you have selected the media pack, click Readme.)
3 Unzip the EPM System Installer into /download_location.
If you are prompted that any files already exist, click Yes to overwrite the files.
4 Unzip the installation assemblies into the same directory (/download_location).
If you are prompted that any files or common components already exist, click Yes to
    overwrite the files.
The assemblies are unzipped into an /assemblies directory. If you downloaded files to
multiple machines in your deployment, on each machine, you need to unzip only the
assemblies for the products or product components that you are installing on that machine.

  • Issue installing System Update 5.01

Hello all I am having an issue installing System update 5.01.  I looked in the logs within the temp directory and it says error 1602 which is user canceled.  However, I am not canceling the install.    I also tried http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall  that didn't work either.
    I'm on a T420 with Windows 7 64bit.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your time

I had similar issues installing 5.01. I believe there is something wrong with the package. Here is how I fixed it:
    Download installer from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=TVSU-UPDATE
    Extract package with 7zip
Copy "Lenovo System Update.msi" to "System Update.msi"
    Run setup.exe
For some reason the installer was looking for this file and it wasn't there, perhaps running the installer in silent/unattended mode caused it to exit with the code you mentioned.
I hope this fixes your problem too!

I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI.  I am running Windows 8.1. When  go to install it gets an error.  The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.
I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . Verify that specified paths are valid. It was installed on Sept 18 2014.  I have downloaded a Transform update but it tells I do not have a Adobe Acrobat product installed.

    Hi all,
Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    Please help !
    Regards,
    Vipul

  • Issue installing/upgrading to ITunes 10.6.1.7

Im having an Issue installing/upgrading to iTunes 10.6.1.7 When upgrading it would not istall and tell me to go to Tools>Download manual. I also had an issue with my IPod touch not showing up in iTuens all of a sudden. So figuring the two problems were related I uninstalled iTunes (cleaned my itues folder in my C drive also) with hopes installing it fresh would work and now when I install 10.6.1.7 I get the following in a pop-up window "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified. Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit."
Anyone know what the issue is?

    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

  • Having issues installing iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows 7 (64 bit).

Issues installing iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows 7 (64 bit). This install clobbered my previous version of iTunes. Error message is "service Apple Mobile Device failed to start". Cannot start the service manually even though I am the administrator of the machine. There is obviously some conflict that was recently introduced by a Windows update or in the Apple installation. I have tried removing iTunes and the AMDS (the Apple mobile device service) and reinstalling with the same error message.
Thanks for any suggestions you can provide!
    Marilyn

    Hey there Marylin,
It sounds like you are unable to start iTunes due to this error message even after uninstalling the iTunes application and the Apple Mobile device. I would recommend uninstalling not just those 2 applications but iTunes and ALL its associated applications with the following article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

I having issues installing Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7. I gt this error "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update Other processes are running which conflict with update installation. Thanks in advance!
    P.S. I have Adobe Design Premium CS5.5

I have exactly the same issue and error number. The only difference is that I am running  a Mac with OS X10.8.2
I also tried installing Camera Raw 7.1 and that did not work either.
I downloaded the Adobe Support manager and it reported everything as OK.
I have tried rebooting, turning off all apps. Nothing seems to fix this.
Any clues on what might be the problem and how to fix.
The reason I need the update is that I am using LR4 and want to edit in Photoshop CS 5.5 and it tells me I need to update  my Camera raw.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, but I still have the same issue. Adobe automatically gives me the Norwegian version as I live in Norway. When I open existing pdf files they appear empty, and automatically close themselves after a few seconds.

  • Issue installing Client 9.2.0.1

Oracle rookie here having an issue installing Client 9.2.0.1....
I've installed the client software on a few machines without any issue. Now, I am installing it on the passive node of a cluster (cluster is running SQL Server 2000) and there is a problem. The install was successful once, until I noticed it installed under D:\oracle\ora92. I needed to install it on C, because that's where I installed it on the active node. However, when I run the installer (C:\9.2.0.1 Client\autorun\autorun.exe), it does not allow me to change the path or the name. If I change the Path to be be C:\oracle\ora92, the name (OraName92, in this case) goes away. If I retype OraName92 in the name box, the path goes back to D:\oracle\ora92.
I tried altering some ini files and that didn't work. I searched the registry and there are tons of references to the old install paths, but even changing some registry settings (specifically, HKLM\Software\Oracle\ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_HOME_NAME) did not work. I didn't touch any other keys, but I did back up the registry.
Anyone have any thoughts on how I can get this installed on C? Thanks...
    Peter

Just for giggles, I tried altering the following registry key:
    HKLM\Software\Oracle\ALL_HOMES\ID0\Path
The value used to be D:\oracle\ora92, and I changed it to C:\oracle\ora92. When I start the installer program, it picks it up as the value for OraHome92. I have nothing to lose by trying this, but my only question would be, will the installer overwrite the existing keys in the registry? I'm hoping that's what it will do, because I don't want any stray references to D:\oracle\ora92 lying around.
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks for all your help!
    Peter

  • Having issues installing Laserjet 2250n on Windows XP

    Hi,
I am having issues installing my HP Laserjet 2250n on my computer running Windows XP. I have downloaded a number of drivers from the HP site (listed below) and each time i try to install through windows new hardware wizard, it gives me a message telling me that the required software is not installed. I have tried installing Easy Printer Care software and then tried installing the driver but no luck either. It would help if the website mentions which driver is required for basic printing rather than showing multiple other drivers for other purposes which confuses people.
Also, I tried logging a support case through the HP website and it is not recognising my serial number. This is very annoying since I can not log a case without entering the serial number. I have checked 5 times on the printer to ensure I am reading the serial number correctly, and the sticker does clearly mention serial number so i am reading the correct number.
Please assist with this issue. Thanks.

    HPuser5647,
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
    I hope this helps.

  • Issues installing 10g ODAC on Windows 2008 with Oracle 10g Express

I am new to Oracle and am having an issue installing Oracle Data Access Components on Oracle 10g 64bit running on Windows 2008 64bit.
I need the ODAC installed to enable integration with SSIS.
The issue I have if i install using ODAC10203x64 the setup file fails with a javaw error and the ntdll.dll.
I then downloaded the ODAC1110720 which states it backwards compatible. It installs just fine, but now i am not sure as to how to configure it correctly as the Configuration util that loads in ODAC10203x64 does not run.
The ODBC drivers are not visible under the ODBC connection manager although this may be an issue of just opening the 32Bit version.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi Ibrahim,
You should decide what you require.
32bit version can be installed on 64bit server and this should work fine (check the certification matrix for this).
The "problem" is that you would not gain any performance benefit from the 64bit server
If you want to have benefit you can upgrade the JVM to 64 bit version.
I did this 3 years ago and I do not remember exact steps though everything worked OK.
    WARNING:
this  can be unsupported, ask support to be sure
    - Install the 32 bit version on the server
    - Download 64 bit Java JRE/JDK and install it (well, you can search the same release as included in the AppServer or try newer one, 7 for example)
    - later, reconfigure the appserver so it uses the version you've installed, OR Copy the everything from c:\progfiles\java\... to the directory OraHome\... (forgot exact directories)
try to search the forum, there had been a thread with the same question
    regards, michael
