Issues of Credit Limit

#1
I already setup my credit management. It seems to work well because when I create sales and bill it, I can see that it has reflected to FD32 (credit window). My problem is, how can I make this window (see [image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/credit_limit_popup.jpg]) appear on sales order, before finishig the entire document? pls guide me how to make it appear.
#2
I have problem about the sales order and credit limit. when i do Vl01N, it says that this error (see [image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/credit_0002.jpg]). I am pretty sure that it has not exceeded the credit limit because I checked FD32. but why it is appearing? How to resolve this?
The only time I could get passed to it is when I release it from VKM1.
Please help

Hello Anwar,
For question 1:
In the sale order screen, follow the menu: Environment --> Partner --> Display Credit account.
this will show the details which you have requested. Does this meet your requirement?
For question 2:
There could be overdue open items or oldest open items or any critical fields (like payment terms) may have been changed manually.
Could you please update the settings that you have maintained in OVA8?
That will help us to direct you in right way.. thank you
Venkatesh

  • Issue of Credit Limit as per Sales

    Dear All
I have the requirement from the user the Credit Limit should be updated as per the Sales.
Suppose this month Customer Invoicing is being done for 10 lakh, then its credit limit should automatically get  updated to 20 lakh,
If invoicing is being done for 20 lakh, then credit limit in T code FD32 will be getting updated to 40 lakh.
Can you plz suggest me on this issue.
    Many Thanks
    Rakesh Naveen

    Hello,
Yes, as per experience, I think your requirement is out of standard of current SAP functions for credit management as automatic. However, you can use some functions as work around, there is a tcode OVA8. You can use credit limit seasonal factor as increase or reduce and check if this suits your requirement. However, any change to this assignment or configuration may lead to ineffective credit checking as the change may affect all customers using the same credit control area without exceptions.
see this link for your reference on credit management:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/en/34/60b199ae724effe10000009b38f91f/content.htm
Otherwise, try user exit enhancement with user 1, 2, 3 check boxes in the same tcode OVA8. Ask your ABAP on possible user exits that can be modified and the complexity of the requirement if feasible.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you and regards,
    Ria

  • Urgent regarding credit limit

    Hi Gurus
I have a issue regarding credit limit:
for a customer "ABC" i have maintained a credit limit for 1000/- in FD32 now when we create a sales order of more than 1000/- for the same customer a popup MSg is comming saying amount has exeeded ...so far so good
my issue is that the requirements should not pass to MD04 (Stock/Requirement List)
some of the SAP gurus giving the answer  check out OVB8 and see the requirement 101, i want to know the functionality of requirement "101" and how to go about the issue ..... issue is very urgent
    Regards
    Rajesh

    HI RAJESH
This can be  done through  go to IMG--> S&D->Basic functions>Availabililty check&transfer of requirements>Transfer of requirements-->block quantity confirmation for delivery blocks. Here u give blocking reason as credit limit,,,,,, Here u find  confirmation block, here u make tick  and save . Here the reason is that even the order is saved, requirements will not be passed to MRP     i.e requirements will not be passed to stock requirement list.
Award points if it is helpful for u

  • Static credit check: credit limit exceeded for consignment issue delivery

    Hi,
We are encountering a credit limit exceeded error in delivery creation for a consignment issue.
In SPRO config "Credit limit check for order types", no credit limit check is assigned to the order type. However, there is one assigned for the delivery type. Also, for CCAr/Risk cat./CG combination in OVA8 (Auto Credit Block Delivery), static credit check has been activated with error message reaction. Open orders and open deliveries were also activated. Customer exceeded credit exposure but user cannot release the order in any VKMx transactions as no credit limit check is assigned to the order type.
Given that this is the current setup, and the following conditions:
    1. Credit limit for the customer cannot be increased
    2. Oldest open item cannot be cleared just yet
Is there any way that we can proceed with delivery creation for this customer? The other order types have credit limit check so credit management team was able to release them. However, we are unsure on how to proceed with this consignment order. Kindly advise and thank you in advance for your help.

We are encountering a credit limit exceeded error in delivery creation for a consignment issue.
but user cannot release the order in any VKMx transactions as no credit limit check is assigned to the order type.
Looks contradictory and it may need to run report RVKRED77 to reorganization of open credit values. Try to run the report in test system and then run in production system. After running the report, the use must be able to release in VKM* transaction.

  • Credit Limit issue during PGI despite Credit available to customer

    Dear All,
We have configured for Credit Management for Customer.
Everything was working perfectly fine for a very long time. But now there suddenly seems to be an issue. The customer has available credit but still the system does not allow us to do PGI. It gives an error message that the customer credit limit has been exceeded.
We checked in FBL5n and found that credit is available. There are no backlogs. But in FD32 we found that the credit exposure shows values in positive and the Blocked check box is ticked therefore blocking the customer. When we checked through Menu path - Environment - Sales & Distribution Docs - Open Orders and Open Deliveries , here we found that in table S067 there are open orders and open deliveries. But upon cross checking with VA05n and VL06/Vl04, we found no open deliveries or open sales orders.
This seems to us as a strange issue that the system is not updating the LIS table although we have not configured for LIS.
We contacted SAP for this and were given a temporary solution to execute program RVDREK77 to clear the table. But this dosent seem to be a permanent solution since we have to run this everyday as a background job. Also this program can be run only when no other transaction happens in SAP.
If anyone has faced a similar problem, I would request to suggest us a permanent solution for this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohan Gudavalli.

    Hi Rohan,
As per my understanding of the issue, There is problem in credit updation. To manage this you have to run  the program RVKRED77. On executing this program system will reorganize the credit in case of update errors. Please have this execution done once in a week during week ends for required credit control areas. This is quite common problem we encounter regarding the updation of credit and the only way is to run the mentioned program periodically.
As you know normally in credit S066 and S067 information structures are involved in the updation. These information structures work in tandem with the update group which is assigned in OVA8 screen resulting in the updation of credit.
When an order is created S066 information structure gets effected and OEIKW field value gets increased.
When order is delivered S066-OEIKW gets decreased and S067-OLIKW gets increased.
When delivery is billed S067-OLIKW gets decreased and S067-OFAKW gets increased.
So credit is completely controlled by the information structures and the update group. Some times it happens that system will not be able to update the credit. To re-organize the credit incase of update errors please have a background job set up done prferably during week endsfor the program RVKRED77.
As you are saying that you have problem with only one customer; please check whether oldest open items check is evaluated.
Please use the program Check_CM to analyze the credit. On inputing the order number or the delivery number you can get the complete analysis of the credit done for the order or delivery.
    Hope this explains.

  • Credit limit Issue

    Hi,
One customer has 50000 Credit limit.we have created one sales order worth 10000.now the Credit limits exists for 40000.
actually we ignore the sales order which was created for 10000.then  system should show the credit limits as 50000.But why the system showing the credit limit as 40000 even thous we avoid/ignore the 10000 sales order.
Kindly advice me to solve this issue...
    Thanks
    Sap Guru

    Hi,
Check in OB45. If you have 12 in the update field then system will reduce the limit amount for open orders.
If you want the system to behave differently change the setting.

  • Credit Limit related Issue

The problem i am facing is that any amount received from the customer as security deposit or down payment  is treated in SAP as specialGL transaction and it is not captured by the system for the purpose of Credit Limit Check . Since there is no credit limit given to a customer and all customers are treated under High Risk Category even though customer is able to process till Invoicing.
In a nutshell..Customer is able to invoice against security deposit amount.
    Regards,
    N

    Hi,
i am not clear what you asking.
In G/l a/c(spl), we can set credit check is active or not.
If you want to use credit check to include for some transaction or  not you have to assign two g/l a/c, in account det.
For down payments you have to assign spl g/l
    in FD32 maintain credit limit

  • Credit limit / Commitment limit issue?

As for customer and sales side, amount of sales order will be also account for credit limit/commitment limit.
So what's the difference from aspect of BP as
    customer and sales side?
Why must commitment limit be larger than credit limit?

    Hi Kenneth
The credit limit means how much in money value he can buy on credit. Commitment means that is how much he can order up to in money value.
So lets say joe soap has a
    credit limit of $10000.00
    Commitment limit of $15000.00
That means he can order $15000.00 worth of goods but only $10000.00 he can take on credit. The $5000.00 worth of goods he must either pay for or settle his account with $5000.00
    Hope this helps

  • Free Goods Sales Order  for Charities with Credit Limit

    Dear All
I have a scenario where POS (Point of Sales) has been implemented, the process of POS is ok,but the requirement of the client is they are giving some goods to charity, when ever a person comes with a special card (Issued by the company) the outlet will create a sales order for the same without any charges with a credit limit of 1000 SAR (saudi arabian riyal).
    Requirement
    1) Creation of sales order with delivering goods but without any charges.(should have effect in Stock)
2)These charities is been treated as Customer with a credit limit of SAR 1000 (whenever the credit limit exceeds system should block the order)
how this scenario can be mapped in SD,
    Thanks in advance
    Malik

    Dear Malik
keep the process regular, which will help in blocking the charity customer when reached 1000 SAr at order level itself.
As customer need to be shown that he  is not charged.
you can work on changing the display of output determination .
You can take the help of Ababer and display what ever client is asking for.
I think  this may solve your query without disturbing you regular business process.

  • Does Simple Credit Limit Check Include Checking for Open Orders

    Hi all,
I have this issue here where I have configured the system to use simple credit limit check with error message. I did not use the standard/common automatic credit limit check since user insist on a pop-up warning and that the order could not be saved. But, I realized that it does not take open orders into account too although I have set the risk categories. Is it true and what solution is there for this issue then.
Thank you for all your help in inputs.

    Hi,
Please follow the below configuration settings for Simple credit check process.
Simple credit check: In simple credit check the system compares the credit exposure with payers credit limit. The
credit exposure results from the total of the net document value and the value of the open items.

     Save and Exit
 Go to VA01 and raise the sales order
Check the system responses in each and every level of sales document processing and check whether the system
blocked the delivery document (due to the setting in VOV8 of OR in check credit limit field [C] = Blocked for
    delivery).
 To release the delivery go to VKM4 and release the delivery document.

  • Credit Check not occurring for Customer with Partial Credit limit existing

    Hi,
    I have a scenario
    1) where, if credit limit is crossed, then on creation of order I get an credit check even when i have not entered materials in sales order.
    2) Partial Credit limit is pending (for e.g Credit limit of 100, 50 is still pending) when i create a new order with unconfirmed quantity, for amount 100, there is no credit check happening. (system should give message for extra amount 50)
Can I please get guidance on this issue.(2nd point)

  • Sales Order Free item and Credit Limit Checking

    Hiii Guys,
    need your help,
How to release Sales Order free item when credit limit exceeded ?
    Here some info :
    Customer : ABC
    Credit limit : 50,000.00
    Credit Exposure : 52,000.00
Risk Category : 003 High Risk
My user want to create sales order for free item for customer ABC, the customer abc credit limit already exceeded .and the item in sales order not contain any value, it should past the sales order creation. how to allow Free item past the credit limit checking ?

    To reslove this issue,
    I. you can create a new sales order type. for which you make the credit control de-active.
    2. If you can't create a new order type and this cotrol should happen at item category level.
then try config at the IMG>Sales & Distribution>Basic function>creditmanagement>credit management/riskmanagement setting>Determine Active Receivables Per Item Category.

  • Sales order is blocking while credit limit is exceeded ...

    Dear Friends ,
Client issue  regarding credit management ,
all customers are defined under low risk category ,
in OVA8 transaction code we activated
    i) For Static credit check : reaction D & status Block checked & open orders , open deliveries are blocked
ii) For Oldest open items :  reaction D & status Block checked & days oldest item 10 days
    Issue is ,
while creating a sales order pop-showing credit limit is exceeded but it is not blocking the sales order , some not blocking the delivery .  It is showing only pop-up for when it is in periods from 10-60 days in F.31 transaction code  . requirement is it should be blocked .
    Please respond asap ...
    thanks in advance ...

    Dear,
Oldest open Item check works as follows.
Say, you have set the Oldest Open Item indicator with D and Block (activated) and Days oldestItem as 1.
Then, the system will check if there are any any open accounting documents (billing documents which accounting document is created and not cleared) - and will consider the bill due date too, and will validate, if there are any open items which has crossed the billing due date, and that cross count is greater than the one mentioned in OVA8.. If any such document is there, then it will block the sales document..
    say: Billing date: 10/10/ 2011
Payment terms: due in 10 days
Then, this will be treated as oldest open item after 20/10/2011..
If you are creating document on 22/11/2011, the system will block the new order as this document exceeds the count (count in OVA8 is 1; whereas, this document is older than 2 days)..
Hope this clarifies about oldest open item and when the system will block the sales order..
Check in FD10n, this will show you all details clearly..
If the credit block is set, still you are able to create delivery, check any seasonal factor or checks in financial A/R summary is maintained (if anything)..
    thank you

  • Credit Limit Check - Exclude Specific Documents / Credits from Exposure

    Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to exclude specific document types (credits) from the credit exposure calculation used during credit limit checks.
The ideia is to exclude "DG" credits in customer GL that are related to Trade Deal/Agreements to avoid over-exposure.
    Let me explain:
Currently, our credit management is configured to "Static" + "Open Items" for all credit groups in the CCA. Therefore, SAP calculates the credit exposure as:
              CE = OPEN ORDERS (S066) + OPEN DELIVERIES (S067) + OPEN BILLING (S067) + OPEN ITEMS (BSID)
Regarding "Open Items", I understand that SAP calculates the net value between all debits (receivables) and credits (returns, overpayments, etc...) already posted and not cleared in the Customer GL account. This rationale is correct since the credits are due to the customers and should be deducted from their exposure (i.e. "you may not pay them if you don't receive").
However, in our case, we also pay trade deals contracts (i.e. trade incentives and trade marketing investments) directly to costumers and apart from sales orders or credit memos. The flow is the following: (1) contracts are managed on a satelite system and interfaced to SAP; (2) contracts are created in the costumer GL as a credit (doc. type "DG"); (3) credits are sent to accounts payable for payment via F110.
Problem is that, contract credits volume is significant and are impacting customers credit exposure and limit check, resulting in greater exposure than allowed. That is, orders are being released while contract credits are open in the customer GL up to the max exposure, but when contracts are paid the exposure goes above the limit. For example:
    Day 1:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 30
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
              Credit Exposure: 80/100
    Day 2:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 100/100 (no additional orders are released)
    Day 3:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 70 (receivables: 70 / contracts: 0 - contracts are paid on day 3)
Credit Exposure: 120/100 (exposure is above customer limit since contracts that were being deducted were paid)
Any ideas or thoughts? Is something wrong in the explanation above? Should contracts credits be treated through special GL?
    Many thanks!

    Hello Julie,
the 2nd, System behavior (how do you interact the credit limit check (yes/no question) via DI?)
    Workaround:
Before you issue the Document, you may do a manual check: BP balance againt Credit Limit, and make deceision.
