Issues on Copying the Project without Project Stock Checked

Hi,
When I copy the operative project (with project stock unchecked and components assigned to the activity in this project) to create a new project, I checked the project stock in the master data of the new project. Although the new component assigned after the creation of the new porject is project stock, the component copied from the operative project is still not project stock.
Is there any walkaround or solution to make the copied component to become a project stock?

Kindly suggent me for the below scenario...
My client wants to procure the goods from the project stock. The goods must be issued from the Project stock.
I am creating sales order and assigning the WBS element in the account assignment key.. i wann know that how should i deliver the goods from the project stock,,,, wat is the configurations needs to be done.
i had checked in requirement class.. ther i could not find any Delivery with project stock.. where in Schedule lines there is LP : Dlv. from project. in this shedule line there is no Movement type nuthin.. could anyone suggest me how to deliver the goods from the project stock.

VP1 id/password is not working when I was trying login into datamover after running pt849tls.dms, pslanguages.dms, & tlsupgnoncomp.dms in bootstrap mode. I verified VP1 id is available in psoprdefn. Please let me know why VP1 stopped working as usual and how to fix this issue.

What's the purpose of copying the projects?

I use Enterprise PeopleTools 8.49 Installation for Oracle for a guide to install the peoplesoft. When I did the step of Updating Database to Latest PeopleTools Release of Chapter 7B, I found that it told me to copy the project to the database but no to tell me to build it. Without building the project, the objects of the project can not be built. Should I need to build the project? What’s the purpose of copying the projects?

I'm afraid, you were starting to speak about Peopletools installation tasks, which come with its own particularities, now you're speaking about maintenance packs which come with other particularities.
Honestly, I didn't read the MP6ML installation guide, and if you need to build the project or not, I do not know, and if you need, I don't know the options neither.
But I'm sure, because I did it several times by the past for other MPs, everything was well explained in the doc and/or template, including the exact options you need to set before building the project.
For MP application, PSCA should be used as most as possible, if not possible, then manuals steps are described in the templates. If not, then open a case to Peoplesoft support.
...the second one just told me to copy the projects named HC9_MP6_ML_1_CP and HC9_MP6_ML_2_CP from file to my target database. So should I build the projects? And which options should I choose when I build the projects?If the template describe only a manual copy project (without build), then copy and do not build the project.

File.copyTo - issues with copied Flash10 Project .app

I'm currently working on a project which has functionality to export a selected number of slides to a Folder, complete with a Flash 10 .exe or .app to play the files with.
I've been running into a major issue with copying the .app. Once the presentation has been exported from the Installed AIR app, the .app projector file will not open, it attempts to open and immediately closes again.
Funnily enough, it works perfectly when outputting from the Flash IDE (coding in flex) in the debugger, the .app file is copied fine and it works perfectly. It's only when attempting from the installed AIR app.
The code I have is:

I've even bought a copy of CS5 to see if the issue is resolved with the AIR 2.0 RC, it's downloading now.
I have no idea why this isn't working and I am on a tight deadline.
Any one got any ideas?

OK, I really need help with this...
I have included a .zip (link below) which has a small test bed AIR app including all source...
When running installed AIR app (Copy doesn't work):

When previewing from .fla in Flash IDE (Copy does work):

[EDIT] So it looks like I just can't copy from the applicationDirectory. But I dont want to have to include extra files with the installer I wanted to include it in the installer. Is there any way for me to do this?
[EDIT 2] I have tried a extracting a .zip included in the package with FZip and ZipLib, both produce the same results, the .app doesnt work.

I got error 8: vi resource not found After copy the project to another location

I copied the project folder in C: to D:
I opened a .vi file in D: then closed LabView.
I try to open the same .vi file in C: I got :"LabVIEW Load Error Code 8 - Could not find VI resource".
I checked all the files in C: no file have been modified.
I'm using LabView 5.1 with Windows NT.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This KB seems to suggest that the erro you are getting is a result of the Vi in question being compiled in a newer version of LabVIEW:

Issue while saving the project plans into XML

Hi,
Could anyone of you please help me here.
We are having one custom field(Type: Text) in the project level(Custom field name: ProjectComments) and end users are entering the data against this custom field more than 200 characters.
The problem here is when we are saving the project plans into XML and opening the same file again thorugh MPP, the data for this custom field(ProjectComments) is showing till 129 Characters only. Seems to be the data is truncating till 129 charachers.
Could anyone suggest me how to resolve this issue without trucnating the characters in the custom fields.

Delivery from the project stock not happening

Dear experts,
after doing a Post goods issue, system is not picking project stock but it is picking storage location stock (normal stock)
(in MB1B this project stock is created with a movement type 561Q)
(in sales order WBS is put at the item level.)

This is because of the simple reason that when the sales order is created your item category (which is getting determined in sales order) has not been marked with special stock indicator as Q while order creation
This is first mistake
(in MB1B this project stock is created with a movement type 561Q) As per my knowledge MB1B is transfer postings and movement type 561Q cannot be used here
This is Second mistake
Pls mark your sales order your item category with special stock indicator as Q and then create sales order
Make proper reservatation with proper t code movent types (take the help of MM people)
Stocks should show as Project stocks separately in your plant in MMBE
Then create delivery and do PGI
That Project stock in MMBE will be consumed for this PGI so general unrestricted will remain same

Import/export issue to migrate the project

Hi,
I am trying to migrate a project from 1 server to another server.
I exported the project and model from my current server, and imported them to the new server. the thing is, the senario can be run successfully, but when I open the interface in designer, the source table cannot get any definition, all the columns in the source table won't show up. it looks like to me is that the interface lost the connection of the data store in the model.
Anybody has any idea how to fix it?

[CLD] When do you have to copy the project to disk

As I am in the last 10 days before I take my first CLD Exam I was wondering if anyone knows when you have to copy the Exam project to disk? I am hoping it could be when the proctor says time up.

This is pure hearsay since it has been a long time since I took the CLD. But I'm pretty sure they do not consider the copying of the files as part of the exam. So it is done once time is up. That's how it went for me. Last I heard, it is still that way.
The CLD is not exactly easy, but it is not nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to me. Even my boss passed and he didn't even finish. A good friend of mine passed even though he hadn't even touched LabVIEW for at least a year (I mentored him A LOT during the previous year).
If you are worried about losing time due to copying of files, then I'd say you need to practice more.

Sell the scrap without effecting stocks

Hi Guru,
We have waste material like we purchase some material which was packed in wooden boxes. Now wooden boxes are not in stock and we want to sell those wooden boxes with out effecting stocks.
AT PRESENT : I am creating stocks into the SAP and making the sales invoices, which we do not want.
We want that SAP should allow to generate sales invoice without effecting stocks. how?
Please let me know how to handle such cases.

Hi,
The sale of wooden BOx (non-stock) shall be mapped as a direct manual FI entry. The customer will be created as a FI customer. No Logistics module will be involved in the process.
A FI Invoice will be prepared for the sale of scrap with the following entries:
              Customer                           Dr
              Sale of Wooden Boxes     Cr
              Excise Duty Payable         Cr
Take help of FI Consultant.
As a standard practice for materials like this only FI sales invoice are generated.

Issue while copying the std report into custom report

Hi,
I copied standrad program into Z program. In z program i am adding additonal selection screen as per the requirement. When i am trying to add the text in selection text for the input field system is giving warning message like change original language from DE to EN. When i am trying to change the option i am facing same problem. Anybody can suggest me how to avoid this problem.

Required reference document to issue the material from project stock

we have procure the project stock material with Acct. assignment Grp as "Q", now the material is laying in project stock.
the things is we can issue the warehouse material with reference to Project Reservation similarly my client wanted to use some SAP document for records purpose to issue the material from project stock.
i have checked this functionality in SAP which is not available except straight way issuing the material from project stock using MB1A( 221 Q).
please help me out to resolve this requirent.

Eclipse nightmare: Trying to use Build Path without muddling up the project

I'm working on a team project for the first time ever, which is a little scary. We are using Subclipse. As soon as I downloaded the project, I noticed that I don't get any error warnings. Soon after, I noticed that Ctrl H fails to search the project.
I thought this was all Subclipse's fault, and tried a clumsy workaround by copying the project. I had noticed that the package icon doesn't appear for the folders holding the source files and realized this is the problem. I guess Eclipse doesn't know which files are the source files. I would have thought it could tell because they end in .java, but that shows how little I know.
After wrestling with this for hours, I figured out that I could use Build Path -> Use as source folder. For a split second, I thought I had finally solved the problem. But then all of a sudden tons of error messages showed up in every file. It turns out that when you use Build path -> Use as source folder, it moves your source folder and changes the names of the subfolders. So how on earth do I just tell Eclipse where my source files are without it moving everything around and screwing up the whole project?
Please, somebody tell me what is going on before I pull all of my hair completely out.

Can you tell us more about your project folder structure (as it exists in SVN)?
Generally speaking, here's what I would do when start a new Eclipse project from SVN using Subclipse:
1) Delete your current project and start clean.
2) Open the SVN Repositories view in Eclipse
3) Right-click the folder you are checking out as your project (for example, if your project is called ProjectFoobar and contains a trunk, right-click the trunk folder... don't check out all of the branches--use svn switch instead) and do a Checkout.
4) Select 'Check out as a project in the workspace
5) Give it a project name.
6) 'Check out HEAD revision' (presumably)
7) Depth: fully recursive
8) Next
9) Workspace location: make sure this the workspace you intend to create the project in
8) Finish

How to copy a project from MBP to Mac Pro without media

Explanation:
Our Director takes all the video interviews, imports this media into a Mac Book Pro (FCP X 10.1.1), creates a Project, makes his audio selects, and edits the video onto the timeline. Then he copies the Project to a portable hard drive.
In the meantime, we have imported all the media into our main edit station, a Mac Pro. Now we plug in the portable drive, open that Library, and copy the Project with the video interview selects to our main Event with all the media on the Mac Pro.
The problem is ... the media of the interview selects is also copied. Then we have duplicate media in our Event. With the previous version of FCP X, we could copy over the timeline without media, then reconnect it.
Any solutions? A better way?

For your particular workflow to be successful, the media needs to be stored outside the Library (External Media). It is important that the media that is being shared is identical on all drives or computers. Managed and External Media
Media that you import into a specific library is stored inside the library and is referred to as managed media. Media can also be imported or copied to any location on a connected volume and linked to the library as external media. Multiple users can access this external media instantly on shared storage, including a storage area network (SAN) such as Xsan, Apple’s SAN file system.
Page 16-18 includes suggested workflows for collaborating with other editors. The Transfer Library option on page 18 may work well for your particular situation:
To hand off new events to a working library using a transfer library
Another way to hand off new events to a working library on shared storage is to create an intermediate library, or “transfer” library. For example, an assistant editor can create a transfer library containing new events to be handed off to the primary editor, and then copy the new events from the transfer library to the primary editor’s working library.
1. On the system you want to transfer from, select the events you want to hand off.
2. Choose File > Copy Events to Library > New Library.
3. In the window that appears, type a name for the new library, navigate to a location for the new library, and click Save.
4. If you want to include optimized or proxy media in the new transfer library, select the appropriate checkboxes in the window that appears, and click OK.
5. In the Libraries list, select the newly created library and choose File > Close Library.
6. On the destination system, open the new transfer library by choosing File > Open Library > [library name], and drag the updated events to the working library.
Note: Motion templates are not managed as assets within the library but are instead stored in ~/Movies/Motion Templates/. If a project is dependent on custom titles or other Motion templates, these must be handed off separately. Placing updated Motion templates in a central location on shared storage as a last step in any handoff process guarantees that all editors working on a project can access the templates at any time.
