Issues restoring/connecting Shuffle with PGP installed

It seems like Apple registered my iPod Shuffle that I bought today back in December (huh?), so I can't use the chat to contact the Apple staff regarding this issue (and no, I don't have a fax, don't even have a fixed phone line). Still, this might be relevant for others.
Just home with a shiny new Shuffle, connecting it, updating it and messing around with it. Tried the Restore function, and that was obviously something I shouldn't have done...
I've got a trial of PGP 9.5.x installed and it seems like it messed something up. After I use the Restore function in iTunes or the separate iPod Reset Utility to reset, format and restore the iPod, it isn't recognized by the OS/iTunes anymore.
After quite a few moments of research, I found out that after the iTunes Restore/iPod Reset Utility, the partition scheme for the Shuffle became pgpwdeMBR_Diskscheme, which obviously must have something to do with PGP's Whole Disk Encryption functionality. And as long as the partition scheme was wrong, iTunes thought the file system was corrupt and it seems there was nothing that could be done to correct it.
The only way I got around this, was to connect the iPod to a PC with Windows XP and run the iPod Reset Utility on there. So now I got a FAT formatted Shuffle, but at least it is recognized on the Mac.
I suppose I could have uninstalled PGP and hoped that whatever got messed up got restored. But, this is an extremely annoying bug and it seems like Apple need to do serious updating on the iPod Reset Utility which in my opinion should be a solid maintenance tool.

Well, it somehow looks different now. When mounted, its name is all capitals for example.

I am experiencing an issue with pinging a JDBC connection Pool.
I installed the following without any warnings or errors:
Operating System: Oracle Enterprise Linux 5
Oracle XE 11gR2 (11.2.0.2.0) database
Glassfish 3.1.2.2
I will refer to the steps I did after the installations
1) In the .profile file of the OS I add the following:

2) I copied the ojdbc6.jar to the $GLASSFISH_HOME/domains/domain1/lib
3) I login to the Glassfish admin console and created a new JDBC Connection Pool.

Datasource Classname: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource
User: [myschema]
Password: [myschema password]
URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe
When I ping the connection pool I get the following message in the server log:

I tried to use different jar files. I used ojdbc6dms.jar and ojdbc14.jar.
I also copied the jar files in the $GLASSFISH_HOME/domains/domain1/lib/ext directory as some people suggested. Still no luck. I keep getting the same error messages in the server.log
Can anybody help me out or point me to the right direction.

The error is in the URL. It was in front of my eyes and I couldn't see the error. I skipped the ':' before the '@' when I created the pool. It is working fine now.

My music from my ipod (shuffle) is not on my ipod anymore after my newly installed itunes on my PC asked me to sync my ipod music, where did it go? My itunes library did not have any songs which is why I thought the songs wouldn't be replaced. I need help ...

- Transfer iTunes purchases to the new computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party progtam like one of those discussed here
Copy music
- WHen everything is on your computr connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup. Do that by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not contain synced media like apps and music.

Issue in connecting wedynpro with EP

       I created the application in webdynpro which retrieves the current user from EP and now i want to link it with EP. I have to retrieve the data from SAP R/3 with corrresponding user id in EP.
       I created the appliaction in Webdynpro, by statically giving userid's the application also retriving data from R/3 also.
       I used JCO to get connect with R/3.
       If any one of you know how to connect the webdynpro app with EP and to get the current user, Plz let me Know. I am now in urgent. Please suggest your valuable inputs.

The code given above has to be written in Web Dynpro at appropriate palce.
You have to follow following procedure for Creating a Web Dynpro iView as described in Help of NWDS.
   1.      In the portal, navigate to Content Administration ® Portal Content. The Portal Content Studio is opened.
       2.      In the Portal Catalog, navigate to the folder in which you want to create your new Web Dynpro-based iView. Create a new folder, if needed.
       3.      Click a folder in the Portal Catalog with the secondary mouse button and choose New ® iView in the context menu.
       4.      The iView wizard appears on the right. Select the appropriate standard iView template SAP Web Dynpro iView.
       5.      Choose Next.
       6.      On the next screen define the iView Name and the iView ID of the iView. The name is used as the title for the iView. The key is the technical name and the iView ID prefix can be used to define your own namespace.
       7.      Choose Next.
       8.      To specify the application variant select the definition type ABAP or Java.
       9.      On the next screen you have to define the Web Dynpro-specific properties:
                            a.      System
Choose the system alias you want to use for your Web Dynpro application from the dropdown list box. You have to create a system alias for each J2EE Engine first before you can run a Web Dynpro application on it. How to create a system and a system alias is described in detail earlier in Define a system
(If the Web Dynpro Application is deployed on the same J2EE Engine on which your portal is running then just Select SAP_LOCALSYSTEM from the dropdown)
                            b.      WebDynproNamespace
You have to define the development component containing your Web Dynpro application. If you are working locally without the DTR you have to define the Web Dynpro project used here. Make sure that both a development component and a Web Dynpro project contain the vendor name. For example, the following are possible values: sap.com/tcwdtools for a development component or local/MyWebDynproProject for a Web Dynpro project. For example in the Creating a Simple Web Dynpro Application the project is called local/WebDynpro_Basics.
Note: The specified name of the development component is the same as displayed in the J2EE Engine console using the LIST_APP command or as used in the Web Dynpro application URL.
                            c.      Application Name
The application name is the name of the Web Dynpro application, for example WelcomeApplication.
                            d.      Application Parameters
If your Web Dynpro application has startup parameters you can define specific values for this iView. Imagine you have two parameters parameter1 and parameter2. In this case you could define the following application parameter string: parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2.
   10.      After defining the Web Dynpro-specific properties the next wizard screen is displayed, which allows you to define other iView properties.
   11.      Choose Finish.
You can now use your Web Dynpro iView in the same way as any other iView, i.e. you can add the iView to pages, worksets or roles.
To preview the Web Dynpro iView, choose the Preview action in either the Portal Catalog (using the secondary mouse button) or in the iView Editor.

Issue in connecting webdynpro with EP

      The issue is when I open my webdynpro iview in EP once again it is asking me the login username and pwd for EP.

While creating a webdynpro iview, you've to mention an SAP system.Find that SAP system. For this system, in the Property Category, select WAS and enter fully qualified domain name of the server where this Webdynpro is deployed.
That could solve your problem.

Try these steps to resolve the issue:

Restore using another USB cable.
Restore your device on another computer.
If you continue to see error 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your device, contact Apple for support.

So, about a week ago my macbook pro started having lots of issues: wifi connectivity, slow performance, sound issues, spotlight wasn't working. After going through the issues with apple support, they decided the best course of action was to erase the hard drive and do a reinstall. Since I have a recent backup this seemed like a good enough option. They were kind enough to send me a copy of the snow leopard disk to do the install since we couldn't get it to complete through the disk utility. Not sure why, since it says we are fully connected, it just never completed.
Anyway, so now that you have the background here is the new issue. The macbook pro keeps spitting out the disk I'm trying to install from. Disk utility and using the 'Startup Disk' function from the apple menu doesn't read the disk.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this vexing problem?

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.

Connection problem with iPod Shuffle 4th Gen.

Hello, I have problem with my iPod Shuffle 4th gen. One day i tried as always to turn it on and listen music but i heard only short "info" sound and saw short green diode impulse and nothing else. My computer (windows 7) also can't find it, after plugging it on, ipod's red diode turns on for 5 sec. Any suggestions?

Yes ... pay attention to how and where you clip the shuffle. Moisture can enter the controls if in contact with damp surface, OR can enter through the earphone jack along the earphone wire... positioning the shuffle such that the earphone socket is down will prevent the latter.
I recently discovered that the mode switch on my shuffle is very sensitive and will change from play-in-order to shuffle with a tiny positional movement. Interestingly, that resulted in behavior that, on the surface looked like the shuffle just quit! I normally listen to to audiobooks and other spoken material which are set to NOT be shffled... however , I forgot to set ONE 1/2 hour radio show to not shuffle. When I accidentally nudged the mode switch, the shuffle switched to playing that show. Trying to get bact to the audiobook I had been playing by multiple << presses confused the issue totally since the shuffle now displayed absolutely no indication of the button presses...it behaved as if it were dead! Turning it off and on didn't help either. Since it was dark, I couldn't see that the mode switch was slightly out of its normal play-in-order position, either. I put the shuffle away and soldiered on listening to a different audiobook on my nano.

Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.
