Issues running SMC for the first time on Sol 10

I just installed solaris 10, and when I launch the SMC to add a new user I get this error:
May 18 12:26:24 kahoali.dyndns.org WBEM_Logging_Service[610]: The management domain file:/kahoali/kahoali does not exist or cannot be managed on server kahoali.
I can't seem to figure out what it's talking about, I have been through quite a few of the settings and files trying to find what it is complaining about.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've had similar problem. What happens is that teh SMC addresses to the host name and NOT to the fully qualified name, so if you configured your system with FQN like abc.xyz.com, than if your DNS server does not have a valid entry for this host, the SMC won't apply any changes. There are two possible solutions:
1. Create an entry in the DNS server for the host
2. Edit your /etc/hosts file to add a host entry like this
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.1.10 abc.xyz.com
192.168.1.10 abc
where you will have both host name and FQN resolved.

Hi,
I've got Vista Ultimate installed on my MacBook Pro via Boot Camp. It works great.
I'm using the 15-day Parallels trial, and every time I try and run it for the first time, it gives me the same error.
After trying to run Windows, it says
"Error: 0xc0000225
Windows failed to load because the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI compatible."
I have no idea what this means. I ran Boot Camp normally and everything seemed to work fine.
Any ideas?

It sounds like you are getting the following message, "An internal FaceTime error occurred: There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again."
This message comes up if you double click on the FaceTime icon on the dock. If you single click the FaceTime icon on the dock, FaceTime should launch normally:
Symptoms
When opening FaceTime from the Dock, the following alert message may appear:
"An internal FaceTime error occurred. There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again."
Resolution
Click the FaceTime icon in the Dock one time, then wait for the application to finish opening.
Additional Information
This can happen if you attempt to open FaceTime a second time while it is already loading, such as by clicking the FaceTime Dock icon more than once.

Running app for the first time NOT

Suddenly I get this message for some of my Applescript apps I have been using for years,
"You are opening the application “name.app” for the first time. Are you sure you want to open this application?"
Even after saying yes and running it the message persists every time. I have verified using the terminal that the quarantine flag is not set for the app.
Any thoughts on this? Better, any solutions?

Does your user account name really contain a single quote? If so, it looks like the quote is getting eaten by one of the build scripts, which is resulting in a file path that doesn't exist.

If neither iPhoto not IC can seethe card it might suggest an issue with the card or the ports on the camera/mac.
Try reformat the card, change the ports and/or use a USB Card Reader.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. Not sure where these hard disk folders are located that you are referring to? Finder, Finder tool bar, Finder side bar, Desktop, Dock?
More then likely they are an alias that not longer point to the orginals, thus the question mark.
I would reboot. Delete icons if an alias and just recreate by dragging from the source. Try right click (control) click to remove.

Pls share ur ideasAs kajbj said - you need to store a token / file with a run date on the file system. Each time the application runs, have it compare with the date from this file with the current date. If different, it's the first run of the day. If not, it is not the first run of the day. Each time have it update the date on the file.

It can't find an Endeca specific class when running via the clover command line utility. Thus, the classpath being set in that shell script is not incorporating the .jar files where the endeca-specific classes are packaged. I would start by adding an line to see what your classpath is set to. There are actually already some lines of shell script in clover that you can uncomment to see what .jars are getting loaded:

Hi Freinds,
I've a req something like this...
Please assist me so that i could hit the right target.
A datalog.txt file would be appended with the data everytime i run the exe.
However if i close (be specific not stop) the entire exe
And run the exe after opening it for the first time, it should ask me wehther to delete or append the existing datalog file.
In short whenever running the exe for the first time it should ask the user whether to delete the existing datalog.txt or append the old one.
THis is my req please help me...

You can use an uninitialized shift register, that you wire with a TRUE on the right side. Its output on the left will only be false the first time the VI is run and true for subsequent runs.
Still, an exe should always run. Design it as as a proper state machine with an idle state when you don't what it to perform anything specific.

System Failure while running Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 for the first time..Why?

When i downloaded the adobe dreamweaver cs6 and during installation ... there is no wrong except screen resolution (required = 1280*800 but available = 1330 * 768)
But when i tried to run the program for the first time, the system had failed.

CS6 requires a minimum of Windows XP with Service Pack 3. Your vertical resolution also does not meet the minimum requirements.
