Issues setting negative current on a KEPCO BOP 36-12D

First thanks in advance for any adivce on this. I'm pretty new to labview. I am trying to set a current remotely on a Kepco BOP 36-12. Manually the power supply works fine, and I have no issues setting a positive current, but the issue comes in setting a negative current. When I switch the voltage set point to negative I can set a current down to -5 amps, anything lower than -5 amps hits the voltage limit for a reason that I can't figure out. Thank you again!

I have not worked with the Kepco BOP since the mid 90's, but we must have had 10 or so test set each with 6 BOP to create 3 phase current and voltage.
As I recall they are nothing more than a power amplier and will follow the signal you supply within its limit. +/- its rails.
We did not control them directly with LabVIEW. We controled them via standard function generators with LabVIEW.
Is you problem with the setup of the BOP or is it with the device between the LabVIEW and the BOP.
Can't tell what the missing subVI are doing from the VI you posted.

Presenter 10 Quiz Pass URL is set to Current but opening in New Tab

We use Presenter to create quizzes among other things. Previously, we were using version 7 but had to upgrade to 10 recently. I have just tried creating the first quiz under 10 and ran into an issue.
We offer the quizzes via our intranet site and utilize the Open URL Action under the Pass or Fail Options tab to redirect those who pass to a completion URL. The target is set to Current. We display the Presenter output's HTM file via an iFrame. In version 7, the URL would simply display within the iFrame. Now, it is opening in a new tab.
It does this regardless of whether it is set to Current or New. I have looked at the data/viewer.xml file and confirmed that passingGradeActionArg2 is set to 0 when we set the option to Current and it changes to 1 when we set it to New, so it does seem to be registering the change when published. I have tried this out on Internet Explorer 11, Internet Explorer 11 in Compatibility View, and FireFox all with the same behavior.
Has anybody encountered a similar issue with Presenter 10?

There is no Contextual menu for the Location bar drop-down, so you need to use {Ctrl + Click} or Middle-click the item to have browsing history items load in a new tab.

Error when running Actions - Command "set" not currently available.

I am trying to run an action for creating a 3D paperback book. Every time I run it, whether I make changes or not, it stops part of the way through the second step with the error message 'command "set" not currently available'. If I continue anyway, it completes the action but the end result doesn't look right. What can I do to fix this?

Yes, it was a free download I found online and yes I was following the steps. However, I ended up fixing the issue by downloading an updated version of the same action that was part of a set of 3D actions. This one was not free but it was well worth it to save me the time and headache of trying to figure out how to fix the other one. Plus it came with tons of other awesome actions that I will use as well.

Kepco BOP 36-12M / BIT 488-B Lockup/freeze

Hello, I am running continuous control and queries to a Kepco BOP 36-12M power supply with BIT 488-B interface. When I run it in a monitor/control loop alone everything is fine, indefintely. However when I combine this with other monitor loops queriying other devices on the bus, I eventually get a hard lockup of the Kepco device -- this can happen anywhere between 15 minutes to hours later. the Kepco will no longer even respond to even an IDN? query once everthing else is turned off. When this occurs, the only solution seems to be to power-cycle the Kepco. I have captured output using a bus analyzer and see timeout events for many instruments including the Kepco which seems a nominal case since the system is using asynchronous transactions. Anyboday have issues like this? I am using Windows XP with LabView 8.6 and the accompanying NI tools.

THe things that I see that are unusuall are that even when things are "nominal", that is, data is being sent and received, I see lots of asynchronous timeout errors on the bus capture, mainly from the Kepco but also from the two R/D converters. From what I an see that seems to be a "tolerable" condition as the controller simply waits while it processes other information.
To address one aspect of your question: I dont think anything is actually "synched" with this scheme that being used. Everything is run in independent asynchrounous loops (for better or worse... not my design). I am wondering if, by somehow going to a synchronous scheme (e.g. the controller will wait for a given transaction to complete before initiation a new one) that will alleviate teh problem. I havent yet attempted to try that.
Again, if we just operate the Kepco in its own loop, we never get a lockup.
The strange thing is this.... We have about 7 identical systems. This issue only crops up on two of them. We have tried things like swapping Kepcos, and even swapping PC/controllers. The problem still occurs only on the problem systems. That is we havnet been able to isolate any "bad" device yet. I am thinking we might be operaing the sysm marginally and somehow its only "crossing that line" on these two problem systems.
Any thoughts as to "going synchronous"?

Note that nowhere in the Boot Camp instructions does it tell you to use Disk Utility to format the Windows partition. The Boot Camp Assistant program creates the partition & sets the +partition scheme info+ of the disk as appropriate for the Windows installer but the Windows installer itself is responsible for formatting the new partition with the appropriate +file system scheme+ (NTFS for Windows 7).
If you follow the instructions in the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide to the letter you should have no problems installing Windows.

Issue setting up eFax on HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One "Problem connecting to internet"

I'm having an issue setting up eFax on my new HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One. I am following the on-screen instructions and receive an error "Problem connecting to internet" when trying to register the account. The ePrint service is working, and I can use the facebook app on the printer so it seems to be connecting to the internet. I am uncertain how to resolve the issue.

Let's set a static IP address and external DNS for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

I want to set the current month or current year as the default value of an input control. Something like try to get the month from the currentdate() formula and assign it to the input control.
Is this possible?

I don't think so. I tried to find a property or something in that Input Control but there is nothing to set it that way.

Setting Negative Forecast Values to Zero

In 7.0 we used a option - Setting Negative Forecast Values to Zero.
But after upgrade to 7.3 this option is missing and I can find any information about this.
Can we open the option in 7.3?

If i don't include the global 'mls qos' command then the voice packets keep the dscp 46 value. If I add the mls qos command this causes the switch to set the dscp values to zero.

The iPhone is of no use until/unless the previous owner removes it from their account.
You will need to find the prior owner or return the iPhone.

I was having the exact same issue. It was driving me crazy. Just as a fluke, I tried logging in to my wife's account on the verizon.net website to se if I had a bad password or something. As soon as I logged in on my computer, her account verified & installed on her iphone. I have no idea why, but it worked.

Asset Revaluation issue - Reval of Current year depreciation

We are setting up the system to do asset revaluation for our company code in South America. My client wants to
revalue the assets from Jul'09 to Dec'09.
1) We have maintained inflation indexes for the last day of each period in the year 2009.
2) Maintained Posting Variants and Time Base and Exposure variant accordingly for all the periods and year as 9999.
3) Assigned the appropriate Time base and exposure variant in the period control method.
4) Maintained the Revaluation Areas:
a) Area 01 - Book
b) Area 02 - Inflation Adj (Revaluation Area)
c) Area 03 - Derived (Area 01+Area02)
d) Area 22 - Infla Adj in Group Currency
5) Maintained the Revaluation key and assigned it to the relevant Asset classes by Depreciation Area (02 and 22)
6) Maintained the transaction types as below:
897 - Revaluation (downward) current year
892 - Revaluation (upward) current year
891 - Revaluation (downward) prior year
893 - Revaluation (upward) prior year
7) Maintained the Inflation Method and last revaluation date on Inflation method as 01.07.2009.
8) We have also activated the Revaluation after useful life.
With this setup in the system I took a test asset which had depreciation postings for the period 08 and 09. When I
ran the J1AI - Revaluation (Inflation) Program in the test run mode the outcome was that the APC value of the asset
was being revalued and Revaluation of Prior year Depreciation but not the Revaluation of current year
Depreciation. Can anyone tell me why current year Depreciation is not being revalued.
Am I doing something wrong process-wise or configuration-wise?
Please help me in resolving this issue.

Hi Rajesh Phanibatla,
I've always happened that Issue. But what I realized is that although the program output (J1AI) does not show you nothing on "Rev of CY Depn", the system calculates. This only happens for the first month of adjustment (In your case, Aug 08).
Try checking the test asset with the Assets Explorer (AW01N) just after running the adjust (J1AI) in background process (NO test mode) at 31.08.2009. See if the area Area 02 - Inflation Adj (Revaluation Area) on "Posted values" tab shows something different to zero on month 08 with "Planned" status.
Then, for the adjustment of the following months, the output of the program will show you the "Rev of CY Depn" value.
If you want, let me know your email to show you a presentation (PowerPoint in spanish) that has screens that I captured on that occasion that happened to me.

Issue setting up DisplayLink Monitor

I have follow damn near ever guide I can find, tried to follow instructions I have read from other posts on this forum, but am just having no luck.
Currently, plugging in the monitor gives me a green screen.
I have udfbl installed and running in the kernel:
