Issues syncing iPad

Currently I am unable to add and remove music and video to/from my iPad during the syncing process.
I have unchecked the playlists and video I want to remove from my iPad and sync using my laptop, however the playlists/videos have not been removed.
I am also wanting to add some videos (home movies converted to proper format for iTunes play) to my iPad and the syncing process with that will not work either. Works with my iPhone 4S just fine, adding a Home Video category.
Adding and removing apps works just fine.
I have tried the sync process with the cable and via wi-fi. App syncing works just fine both ways however movies/music will not work either way.
I have powered off my iPad as well as done a reset with the home/power button process. I have closed and reopened iTunes as well as rebooted my laptop and nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Currently running iOS 7.0.4 with Windows 7.

Since updating iTunes to the newest version 10.1.4, I've had issues with syncing as well. I wound up deleting iTunes and reinstalling it. You won't lose any of your libraries in the process, but it has made things work better.
Here's how to delete and reinstall iTunes. You must delete in the specific order detailed.

Having issues syncing iPad

Hey, so I have the iPad 2 and wanted to recently put a movie on it that was in my iTunes on my computer. I have all the updated software on both. As I went to go sync the movie in, iTunes stopped responding. I shut it down and tried again. I have tried it multiple times with different movies and it seems to not want to sync. Any help?

I have the same issue with my iPhone 4s since updating to ios 7.1. It says "preparing to update" and then spins like that and does nothing. If I'm trying to copy a song from my laptop to my phone it is grey.

Issues with Photo orientation after syncing IPad

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with the ipad changing the orientation of photos following syncing ipad with itunes. What I have been experiencing is that although the photo is in portrait orientation in iphoto on the imac, this same photo after syncing of the ipad with itunes on this same imac machine, the photo when opened up on the ipad is in landscape orientation. Have consulted with senior advisors at apple but not sure if this is an iphoto problem or an itunes/ipad sync problem? seems to me that whatever the orientation of the photo is in iphoto, that when you sync the ipad the photo should transfer with the same orientation. anyone else having this problem?

There have been several posts here and on the iphone site about this.
The jury is still out what the fix will be. Some posts say it's a problem with the metadata and the orientation data contained there-in. I can not confirm that.
I do know that when I take a landscape screen snap, the orientation is wrong when I email or upload the photo to my computer.

Issues syncing iPhone 5 and iPad mini with outlook calendars

I am having issues syncing my iPhone 5 and iPad mini with Outlook calendar. This is a new problem since I upgraded to IOS 7. I am now using ios 7.0.2. I have removed air sync for calendars and that has not resolved the issue. Nothing new on my calendar is syncing to my phone or ipad. Any suggestions?

To use AirPlay, you need these:
iPhone 4 (or later), iPad, iPad mini, or iPod touch (4th generation or later)
For videos or photos: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)
For music: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), AirPort Express, or AirPlay-enabled speakers or receivers

since upgrading my ipad air to ios 8, im now experiencing issues syncing items from my iTunes library to my iPad Air.

So far there is no fix, there are many threads on this topic and many people with this problem. We are all ticked off and Apple needs to fix this ASAP. They don't seem to care.

Is anyone having issues syncing the iPhone wifi hot spot to iPad, Mac, Etc..? I constantly have to turn it off and back on to get them to connect. I with it was a little more seamless... Thoughts?

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?

Windows 7 syncing ipad issues

just got windows 7 pc and having issues syncing my 1st gen ipad to it. I already updated bios but it won't sync. Does anybody have any recommendations that I could try. I'm using a Gateway NE56R... thanks

I see. I didn't realize that you could sync any content from an external drive to the iPad without going through iTunes and as far as I know - you do have to go through iTunes in order to sync you music and videos. Have you tried syncing with iTunes? You will have to import the music and videos into your iTunes library first.
Read this discussion. The answer that was marked correct was posted by one of the iTunes for Windows experts on the ASC. According to what he is saying, you still have to go through iTunes.

Issue syncing desktop iphoto '09 to iphone/ipad

Having an issue syncing photos from an event from my desktop iphoto '09 (where I can see all of them just fine) to either my iphone or ipad. I even created a separate album with just those specific photos but when I update to phone the album is there but empty...any ideas on solutions?

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

My employer is issuing an iPad 4 to me, but has informed me that I "...can expect no privacey" of any personal information that may be put on the iPad. This is not acceptable to me. How can I use iTunes to keep my personal information off the iPad?

What has me concerned is that my employer has also requested that I use my Persoanl iTunes account to syc and update the iPad. I am concerend with my personal privacey, as I have two other iPads that use this account regualary.
My question is: How can I use iTunes to update etc. the company iPad using iTunes without compromising my personal information?
What I have done is to set up a different sign in (is that called an Apple ID?) within iTunes (I now have two different names I can use to sign in to iTunes). They both still use the same iTunes and my personal apps and information appear to be available to my second sign in name (the second sign in name is what I intend to use for the company iPad). When I sync the company iPad how do/can I keep my persoanl information from being syc'd automatically to the comapany iPad?

It sounds like you will still want to link your iPad and computer, but you want to prevent the iPad from syncing information from your computer to your iPad. I have an article here for you that can help tell you how to set this up:

You will want to follow the steps here to set up the iPad for syncing, but when it comes time to sync, you'll just want to make sure that the boxes for syncing the multitude of items that you can sync remain unchecked so that none of that information gets synced into the iPad.
Another note: your second Apple ID will not be able to access the apps, music, movies, tv shows, etc., that you have purchased under your primary Apple ID. Even though it seems that the secondary Apple ID still has access to those items, that is just because you are viewing your second Apple ID through the iTunes Store section on your computer and you have those items saved locally on your computer. You will need to repurchase and download all of the content that you wish to use again on your second Apple ID, if that is what you wish to solely use on this iPad.

Can't sync iPad after iOS upgrade to7.0.2 - repeated authorisation prompt - using admin profile, file SC info does not exist

After I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 I can't sync iPad mini with PC (on Windows XP). I keep getting the folowing message: "The iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchase items on this iPad". I tried everything:
1) De-authorizing and rebooting (about 100 times);
2) De-installing and reinstalling itunes;
3) Deactivating the firewall;
4) Run Diagnostics (result - all works fine including sync);
5) Tried to look for the "SC info" directory or file everyone is referring to in the Computer (Hidden files) of the iTunes directory - nothing;
6) Ticking and unticking the |Sync over Wi-Fi" option;
7) Changing backup from iCloud to this Computer and back.
I am using the admin account on my PC - doesn't help.
I cannot sync anything at all.
BTW - on the PC and on the iPad - everything that is there plays OK. I can get stuff from iStore both from iPad and from the PC - but I can't sync the two.
It looks like an iOS 7 bug to me - any ideas or advice?

No I have tried multiple connections, at home, at work, and even at my church but to no avail. For example I have recently purchased a CD from Itunes using my computer, but my ipad will only play it from the cloud. I've tried to download straight from my Ipad and that too does not work. When ever I try to plug the Ipad into the computer a window pops up and says that the sync has failed. If I try to drag the file to the Ipad it will say it's loading than just quit before it transfers. hmmm. I hope they get this bug fixed some. would really like to have that CD to isten to on the go. Another issue I am no having is the apps are having trouble updating. I have tried to turn off auto update and do it manually and that too is failing.

Searched google, apple and microsoft pages. Read them all. No one seems to have a clear answer to the problem, let alone the solution.
Backed up iPad, and restored iPad. No success - and now, of course the thing is now in a totally uncertain state. It won't ask for sync, but if iTunes starts, the iPad carries on.
Deleted and reinstalled iTunes etc. No success. Tried again (and again? - I have lost track)
Someone suggested going back to iTunes 11.4. Tried that (once sorted out the library files have been changed). Now, same result. (it all worked happily previously)
Tried a hard reset on the iPad. No luck
Discovered one post suggest that QuickTime may be a problem. Deleted iTunes and Quick Time. Reinstalled iTunes. No success.

Try Googling "sync without iTunes".
There are free alternatives and there are not so free alternatives.
Btw, to check if AVG is causing the problem, you should uninstall AVG and not just "turn it off".
Also, can you describe how you go about uninstalling a program? For example, how did you "delete" iTunes?

When syncing ipad to my itunes i get the message 'sync could not be finished because the sync failed to start' help!!

So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID.

I can't sync the Not Afraid music video that I purchased this morning to my iPod Classic. It's frustrating because I have no issues syncing other videos and the rest of the album that this video came with synced just fine. Please help!

You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you sync with another one the iPod will be erased and its contents replaced with what is in the library of the second computer.
However, you can manage music among multiple computers. See:
