Issues viewing the published site on the delivery system

Hi Guys,
Ive setup the management system which has a user interface,
and the delivery system which does not have a user interface but i read on the install guide
that delivery system does not have user interface? How true is that?
Next I published avisports (RealTime Comlete Publish) and fisrtsiteII (real time mirror to server)
changed the preview url from the management system to have ip and port for delivery, but to my suprise
no site visible...Y?
I get broswer error : HTTP Status 404 - Content Server could not process the request

Licence issue in the delivery not in sales order

Dear SD Experts,
I am facing one differnt issue please check this if you have faced any time.
In sales order licence is redtermined perfectly with having any problems for Four line items
In the delivery also created 4 lines but if we check in the license log 2 new line items added and not triggerd ... in this case how we can sort out this issue, please tell me.

IE Scolling/Lag issues with IWeb Published Site

Has anyone had any issues with scrolling/lag with Internet Explorer on an iWeb published site? I have a site that runs great on Firefox and safari but terrible on Internet Explorer. I'm thinking it may be the template/design i used?
Anyone every seen this? Any suggestions?

I've only ever used the Modern Frame, so I can't say if there would be a performance issue using a different template. I have about three pictures on each page.
I noticed on your site that you're using the "reflection" effect on some of your pictures. Just for the purpose of testing, perhaps you could try turning off that effect and then re-uploading your site to see if that is causing some of the problem? I believe the reflection is rendered using javascript code, which may be causing the poor performance in IE. If that does turn out to be the problem, you can decide whether it's worth it to keep the effect or not.
By the way, I don't get that same error message in IE when I open your Videos page. Maybe it's caused by a security setting in your IE being set at a more restrictive level?

Problem in viewing the various systems.....

I had installed VC previously and then made various applications. But due to some reason i had to format my pc. But now when i installed VC once again and then connected to portal using the same user that i used before, i can't see any system in the system list. Moreover i can't deploy into the portal any application as i get an error : "Portal request failed (Parse of result error : Access denied) "......but my user has administrative rights..
please help me, did i miss any step while reinstalling?

Report to view the delivery for the warehouse

With a selection criteria of total goods movement status from A to B. We have noted however the data contained on the list is based on the required dates from the sales order/STO. I can not seem to find a report or add criteria to the above report to show the document date. The warehouses need to be able to view deliveries not completed and understand how old the document is. Is there another standard transaction that can be used or will this require a dedicated report.

I understand you are using VL06O for delivery reporting. You can add fields to this report by including the fields in a structure. You can include the Creation Date field from LIKP. Please refer note# 128150.

I have some questions regarding publishing the content on delivery system.
Could some one help me.
1) Can we use Development System as Delivery System?
2) Can we Publish a Site into Development System?
3) How to check whether the installation done in development mode or in delivery mode? I mean do we have any procedure to check ?
4) What are the Advantages of Delivery System over the Development System?
Note: I installed Webcenter sites11gR1 on Weblogic10.3 server and windows 7.

Yes, a development system contains the same functionality as a delivery system. Conversely a delivery system doesn't have a contributor interface so it cannot be used for managing assets.
Not recommended and it also depends on the sizing of your environment and tuning. Delivery systems usually are architected with performance in mind, depending on the expected load, logs are minimal and usually Remote Satellite Servers are added. Important as well is that no content or any assets is created directly on the delivery system, you might run into unique ID constrains when you publish content from Authoring to Delivery, in your case Development.

Yes, you can.
Be careful this is not recommended, you can run into unique id constraints issues

Look in the ominstallinfo directory, in the location where WebCenter Sites was installed. there is a file called omii.ini that contains installation-time choices and parameters. Look for the parameter "Development"
- true, indicates it was a Development type install. Advanced UI will be available, as will the Contributor UI
- false, indicates it was a Delivery type install. Only Advanced UI will be available.
4) What are the Advantages of Delivery System over the Development System?
Ans:
A delivery type install is more secure, as the contributor UI and some other editorial components are not installed. It also prevents editors from changing content on the delivery system by mistake.
In general Delivery systems are architected different, more emphasis on performance, caching and security.

Delivery QTY field in the delivery is

I have an issue with the delivery QTY. Please find the conversion below
Dlv.quantity 24 BAG Dlv.qty 34,391.730 LB
Conversion 1 BAG <-> 1,433 LB
for some reason when SAP is converting the Delivery qty to 34,391.730 when it has to converting it to 34392 LB. I did find out that I am getting this value based on LFIMG_FLO*24 = 34,291.730 LB.
The problem I am facing is that when I do an STO from one plant to another.
1) I PGI 34,291.730 LB but when I am trying ot receive against this outbound the system is trying to receive 34392 Lb's and give me an error message deficit of stock in transit . when I look in MB5T it shows 34,291.730 Lb.
Can some one please let me know if potential reasons for SAP to not convert the Dlv qty properly

In cases in which rounding problems are likely to occur, the system
proposes the quantity in base units of measure during the goods receipt.
Unlike at goods issue for the delivery, the quantity at goods receipt
can only be proposed in ONE unit of measure. In general, this is the
order unit. Some customers who experience rounding problems, "park"
small quantities of the corresponding materials in the stock in transit
to avoid shortfall quantities that may occur due to minor rounding
problems, because they have to use order quantities during the goods
receipt.

Issue viewing Silverlight content outside of firewall

Service Manager portal works great inside the firewall, but users are having issues viewing the Silverlight content outside of our corporate firewall. Both the portal and web content server are hosted on the same box using different IPs with
port 443. Any ideas on to enable the Silverlight content to operate properly outside of the corporate firewall?

one thing to check would be that the Web Content Service is accessable using the same DNS names. The Silverlight client (running inside the browser) needs to be able to reach the non-SharePoint web service and content that's on the "other" server.
if it's working internally, but not externally, I would check to make sure that the "other" web service DNS names and ports are resolvable and accessable from the outside.
one more thing to be aware of: the images in the portal are downloaded every time the Silverlight client is reloaded, so it's in your interest to make sure that any images you add are THROUGHLY optimized for web distribution over low bandwidth.

Dear Expert,
I met some problems that 'You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)' when I tried to do the auth. testing for RFC SM_CLNT<SID>_TRUSTED in satellite system.
Following SAP note 128447, I recreated the RFCs in SMSY in solution manager for satellite system using existing user.
It was still error ''You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)'.
In SMSY in solman, I checked the RFCs connection which I recreated using RFC wizard, they are ok(green).
I have already maintain the auth. obj S_RFCACL for user who is running this.
So, I am confused what authorization I did not maintain in user? Please help me out!

Hello Lucy,
The error is pretty clear that the calling system is not a trusted system so I don't think you should bother with an authorization trace at this time, because authorizations is not quite the issue. The calling system is NOT a trusted system, authorizations or not.
Please refer to SAP Note 128447 Trusted/Trusting systems
The error is listed there:
Authorization errors that occur when using an RFC destination for which
the 'Trusted Systems' indicator is set are documented with the following
message:
"No authorization to log on as a trusted system (Trusted RC = #)."
In this case, the trusted return code # (# = 0, 1, 2, 3) has the
following relevance:
1   The calling system is not a trusted system, or the
     security key for the system is invalid.
     Solution: Recreate the trusted system (see
     documentation).

Design for Availability Check for the Receiver System

Hi,
Scenario: Request has to be diverted depending on the availability of receiver System.
Design: During Runtime, we will make RFC Lookup call in mapping to Receiver System, to check it availability and accordingly I will determine the Receiver.
Issue: We had the Receiver System Up, the Availability Check using Lookup to Primary Receiver system was successful, but due to table lock issues in the receiver system, request for RFC and Proxies was not responded back. So we got call dumped in PI saying service unavailable exception.
Is there any better design for to handle this kind of scenarios, inorder to have functionality available round the clock?

You need to identify the availability of the system at mapping level only,i think the approch is to write UDF or simle JAVA Map to check the availability and return same status out put based on that you can route the message.
use wait step in BPM give some particular time to wait,then process the message,in this case we are going check only once. if you want check repeatedly use loop and put your mappingt,but this is not at all adviceble.
other way develop scenario ,if system down means communication channel throws error,based on that raise a alert,so that appropriate people will take action.
but most of cases availability of system is 24 hours , but i am not sure about your case.raising alert is the good idea.
