Issues with Adobe Acrobat X Professional

Hello,
Currently, my team is facing several issues while using Adobe Acrobat X Professional.
Description about the issues: Here, users have been migrated from Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional to Adobe Acrobat X Professional. But in case of Adobe Acrobat X Professional, while opening and saving the eForms, users are facing below issues:
1) While opening - Low disk space error: Currently eForms are saved to one file share and and while opening the eForm, users are get ting low disk space issue even though the space is neither low on local machine nor on the file server.
2) While saving the eForm after signing it, it throwing the error - The document could not be saved. This file is already opened. Even though the document is not opened by another user. Please note that preview pane is not enabled on the respective local machines.
3) Addition to above, please let me know how we can make any site's DNS Name as trusted in the software itself so that eForms or other PDF document can be opened without any issue.
4) Addition to above, please also comment on the eForms database connectivity of the software with SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2014 - whether there is any incompatibility with Adobe Acrobat X Professional.
Request your assistance.
Thank you!

I don't know if this is the right section but I experience the following issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI installed on Windows 8.1. When I start Acrobat the related window opens normally but, after some scroll up and down along the document, it blocks, Acrobat doesn't respond to any command I can give and, in place of the pointer arrow, a vertical bar, as the one of the text editor appears. The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??

Have you opened Acrobat and gone to Help>Updates to get an updated install?

  • Issue with Adobe Acrobat 9 and check writer

My user is having the following issue when running check writer.
I am having an issue when I try and print the Oracle checks. They run fine, but when I click on the view output which usually brings up a pdf screen of my check. Instead gives me 2 blank screens with a question mark icon.
I noticed that Adobe Acrobat 9 was installed the same day I started having the isssue.
Has anyone else had this problem or know if Oracle HRMS R12 is not compatible with Adobe Acrobat 9?
    Thanks!

  • I am unable to convert certain files to pdf with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

I am unable to convert Word & PowerPoint files to pdf.  (I am able to convert image files & excel)
I have enable macros in Word and still cannot convert the file.
I am getting the error popup:
    Unable to open the document
Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file
    I am running:
Windows XP Professional Ver 2002 SP 3
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
    Microsoft Office 2007

Open the document in WORD or PPT and print to the Adobe PDF printer. With PPT, you will have to select the fill page option. You may also be able to use PDF Maker in WORD or PPT. From your post I am assuming you are trying to open directly in Acrobat and all of these other things have to be working properly before the latter will work. If they work and you still can not open directly in Acrobat, then try a repair on Acrobat.

  • Viewing issues with Adobe Acrobat Professional 8

We have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 installed, and we are having some issues when viewing pdf documents.  Once a Word document is converted to a pdf document, some of the hyperlinks are appearing thicker (almost bold) than others, and some of the text appears lighter/darker than the rest of the text.  There is no pattern to this, it is all very random.
When we print the pdf document, everything looks correct, so this only happening when we view the document on the computer.
Can anyone provide a suggestion on how to fix this issue?
    Thanks!

    Sorry, I forgot the attachment!
    Hi Bill,
I am attaching screen shots of 1) a page where the hyperlinks appear thicker and 2) the document properties pages showing the fonts.
We have tried creating it with both the Adobe PDF Maker and the MS PDF tool and it happens using both.  I am thinking that this really is a viewing issue, because it prints out fine.  Also, it looks the same no matter what the zoom setting is.
Please let me know if you have any other advice.
    Thank you!

  • ZEN AO .MSP file issues with Adobe Acrobat

I'm currently having the following problem...
I've got two ZEN AO's. One for Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and one for
Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard. I've added the latest Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 .msp
(Windows Installer Patch) file to it's respective ZEN AO and incremented the
AO version number. On my test workstations that are cleanly imaged I
associate and install either Adobe Acrobat 7.0 ZEN AO and neither object
applies the 7.0.5 msp during the initial installation of the object/package.
What gives? I've noticed that during the last part of the installation when
it looks like it's applying the .msp I see "gibberish" in the text field
right above the progress bar of the ZEN "Distributing blah blah blah" dialog
box. I can launch Adobe and verify that the patch has not been applied. I
can then verify (via NAL in myapps.html) the application and the patch
applies as expected (I can verify that by launching the application). A new
install of these objects/packages should include the patch should it not?
Also if the application was previously installed by this "same" AO (only the
patch has been added and the version number incremented) and I "install" the
application (keep in mind it's already installed) NAL / Windows Installer
goes through the routine of installation and then appears to apply the .msp,
again I notice the gibberish in the text field right above the progress bar
of the ZEN "Distributing blah blah blah" dialog box. I can then verify the
application and the patch applies as expected (again, I can verify that by
launching the application). What is up with this? I can't believe after
roughly fifteen agent releases (I say fifteen based on the # of releases on
the agent release TID) that Novell can't get this basic functionality right.
Windows 2000 SP4 Update Rollup 1 (including all updates)
Windows XP SP2 (including all updates)
Novell Client 4.9 SP1 (including all updates)
ZEN Agent IR5 and ZEN Agent IR6

  • Issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Version 11.1.10

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI version  11.1.10 when I try to delete a page I get an error message, "one or more pages are in use and cannot be deleted". I would like to delete the pages?

    Hi Frank,
This type of error usually occurs when two or more than two programs are accessing the same file at a point of time.
Does this issue occur with that specific pdf or with other pdfs too?
How about if you make a copy of that pdf and then try deleting pages from that copied pdf? Do let me know if that works.
If possible...Can you mail me that pdf file at [email protected] so that i can check this issue at my end?
    Regards,
    Rahul

  • Having issues with Adobe Acrobat X.

I have the creative suite adobe design and web premium cs6. Adobe acrobat stops working every couple of months and i have to uninstall and reinstall. Is there a better way of fixing this issue?

    Hi Kashif,
We regret for the inconvenience caused to you!!
Does that happen with Acrobat only or with other programs too?
Which operating system are you using?

  • GPO issue with Adobe Acrobat / Reader

    Hello,
I am trying to deploy out Adobe Pro 9 via GPO and when installing on clean machine there are no issues.  However, we have machines with Adobe Standard 6.0, Adobe Reader 8.1.2, or actually both (ugh).   Simply removing the MSD group for these older GPO's does not completely uninstall all the files and registry entries - this is then causing a "fatal error installing..." in event log  when the new GPO tries to deploy, and causes it to fail.  Despite all the reccomendations the only way I can get the new GPO to deploy is by going into the registry manually and searching /removing every single reference of Adobe.
Does anyone know of a more efficient method to allow the new GPO to deploy, or are the KB articles the only known options (which unforutnately did not work for me).
    Thanks for any help -
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
I sympathize with your situation but can't offer much help. Adobe doesn't support 7.x now let alone 6.x. Further, GPO was really designed to manage registry settings and was never designed to manage full installs--especially over multiple, older versions of legacy products. You may have script your way to cleaning all the old reg keys and legacy files before installing.
The new way to handle deployments on Windows is SCCM. Microsoft recommends SCE for smaller businesses (http://www.microsoft.com/systemcenter/en/us/essentials.aspx). SCCM is far more powerful and provides an amazing set of features beneficial to managing clients across the enterprise.

  • Compatibility Issues with Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0

    Hello,
We developed a Capture tool designed to digitalize all documents received in our company. AFter scanning the documents, they get store in a server and with the help of the tool we can locate and follow up on the documents workflow in our service area. However, we need to edit some of the documents by highlighting and adding notes when they have mistakes and send them back to the customer. We use Adobe Acrobat to do the changes and for some reason, when you have the Capture tool and Adobe both installed in the same computer, the Capture tool does not even open, it freezes the computer.
If anyone has or experienced a similar problem I would appreciate if you can guide me through this situation. For some reason, it seems that both tool are not compatible.
    Regards,
    Carlos

You have to have AA8.1 to use PDF Maker with OFFICE 2007. With AA7, you can only print to the Adobe PDF printer. If you are upgrading to Win7, then upgrade to AA9 to go with it.

  • Comb Field issues with Adobe Acrobat 7

I built a form with ES and one field is a comb field with 7 spaces. When the form is opened in current versions of Reader it is filled in with no problem but many of our customers aren't current. When someone with Adobe Reader 7 opens the form it automatically enters a '0' in the last space in the comb.
Has anyone encountered this problem or have any idea what the issue could be and how it might be fixed?
    Thank you.

Thank you for your response but I can't open the attachment. I get this error message.

  • Issues with Adobe Acrobat, leopard, Office for the Mac 2008

since I upgraded to leopard, it's been a nightmare. Office 2008 for Mac won't print Word or Excel documents, Adobe Acrobat 8 won't convert docx. files to PDFs and now has corrupted some existing PDFs. Anyone have similar problems and any answers out there yet?
Yearning for the simplicity of Windows.

No. All that works fine for me. Running 10.5.2 and Adobe Acrobat and Office 2008 all work perfectly well.
Your problem likely stems from upgrading over an already corrupted system. My suggestion is to reinstall from scratch (Erase and Install.)

  • Issue with adobe acrobat 7.1.0 standard on windows 7 professional 64-bit

    hi,
i have been using my aa 7.1.0 standard with windows xp professional sp2 32-bit for over a couple of years with great ease.
recently, i upgraded to windows 7 professional 64-bit. when i reinstalled aa 7.1.0 standard on that, i hit a wall. i get this error 20225 which says that the adobe pdf port and printer could not be created. i have tried detect and repair, that just repeats the same error. i have scoured through several webpages to find out a solution, but to no avail. there was one suggestion that a printer port be created manually, that did not work (as i could not find the suggested inf file).
can someone please suggest what i can do to get my beloved aa 7.1.0 standard to work with my beloved windows 7 professional 64-bit?
    kind regards,
    am.

Another thing to consider when using Acrobat 7.x is that Adobe has announced Acrobat 7.x support ends December 2010.

  • Strange issue with Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro

I have a user who has a very strange issue. When she clicks the acrobat pro shortcut, adobe reader launches. The target path of the shortcut is correct and even when I drill down through C: and program files all the way to acrobat.exe, reader launches.
even running acrobat.exe from the runline launches reader instead of pro
    any suggestions?

The other option is to go into the task list and disable AcroRd32.exe. One of the problems with both Reader and Acrobat being installed is that they leave a part resident for fast startup (I think this can be disabled). Thus Reader is likely sitting there partially open in the background and when you click on Acrobat, it sees Reader and opens there. You might check the startup list in MSCONFIG and see if you can disable AcroRd32, but once Reader is run it may leave it there again anyway.
It may be best to uninstall Reader, but you will likely have to repair AA8 Pro after the uninstall since the uninstall usually breaks the versions that are left.
