Issues with Apogee's JAM not being recognized?

Hi,
I just purchased the JAM guitar input from Apogee and it works fine with my iPad 2 and my Macbook Pro (which is on OS X Lion already). However, when connecting it to my new 2011 Macbook Air 13" which was just released last week, it is not recognized. The device "all ok and connected" green light is not coming on. It flickers briefly green and then goes to blue when connecting. The Macbook Air is on Lion as well.
Has anybody else experienced this issue or can anyone confirm that their Macbook Air configuration is working?
Could it be that the USB port on the Macbook Air does not provide enough power for this?

I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.

I too am experiencing this on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to 4.3.3. I am fairly convinced that it is a software issue. The last update seems jumpy. There appear to be more pauses and stuttering with screen changes too. Sometime the button operates perfectely (even with repeated light touches). Other times, it doesn't matter how hard I press; it takes several presses. I notice it more when i am using a battery case or connected to an AT&T MicroCell. I am having a hard time pinpointing problematic apps, although i suspect that mail with my work Exchange account may be a culprit. I suggest posting your issues on Apple's iPhone feedback page, www.apple.com/feedback/iPhone.html, to ensure that they are looking into this problem. If it is a hardware issue, I'll be pretty upset as I received my iPhone 4 on day 1 of availability and it is out of warranty. Hoping for a fix with an update. Please post on the feedback page.

Issue with 100% responsive layout not being responsive

I'm trying my first tesponsive design in Edge Animate. It's a simple one. It's just a series of 203x203px images layed out in 5 rows of four columns. 20 images in all. I have the stage set up at 100% width and 1015px height and each image is set at 100% width and height. Each image is nested in a symbol so I can do rollover and touch effects and that's set at 203px width and height for each one. Mimimum width is set at 280px and Max width can't be set in An. I'm using the Scale Position on each symbol to make it all responsive on each image which is in a symbol. So the symbol has the preset. Not the image insside of the symbol.
Issue I have is that it's responsie to a point. When I drag my browser, the padding (margin?) between each symbol shrinks or grows, but the images stay the same height and width. So they start running into one another. How can I make it work where the images get smaller or larger depending on the screen size?

The Edge Animate Wizards will have to pour in a few drops of their magic potion as usual, to get around the shortcomings of the evolving HTML standard.
I am aware there will be many more pressing (as well as preferable) and urgent things to take care of, like adding features to the UI, extend capabilities to make EAn more powerful (I'd like to some sweet additions like "canvas" myself! ), smoothing workflow and integration with other app in the adobe ecosystem, so thank you 2x for your reply about this nice to have fix
In all that I wonder if someone has some time to dedicate some TLC to the documentation (like listing all the API instructions available in a better way, maybe even searchable like the jQuery API documentation) and integrate "dos and don'ts". Would be nice to have a reference like that available in flash (hey not expecting that by next week, but would be nice to know it's in the works to be added in future versions *hint-hint, nudge-nudge" :P)

Having a problem with the DVD drive not being recognized by the computer

Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX NOTEBOOK PC, WINDOWS VISTA, Error 10 when trying to reinstall the driver, says cannot start.
I went thru the HP troubleshooting and it said to see the mfg of drive to solve problem! I finally bought a new DVD drive P/N498479-001 for replacement . uninstalled the old drive & then reinstalled the new drive , restarted the computer & it still will not recognize the DVD player! Same error code, same problem. The problem started when I tried to play a CD that appeared to be scratched pretty badly, however my desk top played the CD with out problems? When you click on "computer" the drive does not show up!
I did install a new router a couple of days before this happened, but I am using a data cable to it, so that should not be a problem. Any Ideas?

Apple has moved on from Firewire and the current iMacs (and most MBPs) have Thunderbolt, USB3 and USB2.
There are Firewire toThunderbolt adaptors. Here's one. You also want a four pin to nine pin FW cable to run from your camera to the adaptor.

Strange In Box Issue with System Administrator Notices not being delivered

We serve our email with SBS 2003 Exchange Server. Our Clients are Apple mail 2.05 (latest version).
I also use Entourage (sometimes). I just noticed that when I log-on to the Exchange Server in Entourage, there are a number of messages in the In Box that were NOT in Apple mail In Box......
It seems to be messages that failed to be delivered and were returned or something like that.
For instance, Apple Mail In Box shows 74 messages. Entourage shows 93 messages...all from Sys Admin (undeliverable), Postmaster or mailer-Daemon.
I've checked every setting I can find in Apple Mail and see nothing that would restrict these emails..
Anyone else seen that??

If I get a large incoming message notification, and tell mail to skip it, it will not subsequently attempt to retrieve it. The workaround is to delete the file MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded (or MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2) from the account's folder in ~/Library/Mail with mail shut down. When it restarts, it retrieves the message.
Might be worth trying here ...

Issues with vision box and not being able to get "...

Hi all, i've upgraded my package to essentials extra, and that gone through ok, but my Vision + box is still using WinCE firmware and not the firmware required to watch fox ect, when ever I try doing a master reset (OK + Down) it forrages off for new firmware, dose what it needs to do, then reboots, just to give me WinCE still... i've been through the mill contacting customer services from order management - extra channels team - tech services and they are all passing the buck... end result 3 days of trying to get this resolved, I am still none the wiser!? arghh!

Canon G9 not being recognized by MacBook Pro

I'm having some issues with a Canon G9 not being recognized by the particular MacBook i have to use. When i connect the G9 via USB (obviously with a good cable and camera switched on) neither Image Capture nor iPhoto recognize it. I have tried connecting the camera to a bunch of other macs (Powerbooks, latest MacBook, same model of Macbook and system as the one I'm using), they all didn't have any trouble recognizing the camera. My MaProxy-Connection: keep-alive

ook can see any other camera I have tried without trouble... I'm using 10.5.6...
The System Profiler does actually see something being connected via USB, but it only shows up as "Composite-Device/0x04a9(Canon Inc.)".
Any ideas what might cause the issue?

Updated information ... these card do get read on an older iMac, circa 2010 or so, also running 10.8.4. For some reason, they're not being read by the internal SD reader on the macbook pro. Odd.

I ran into the issue of the 32-bit file not being recognized in LR 5.6 after it has been saved in PS. I tried every type of file I could save a file as in CC but none of them would be recognized or said it was corrupt. I had exported 3 files to Merge in HDR Pro Photoshop as 32 bit files. I then saved in PS and returned to LR 5.6, but it said the bit depth was not supported . Is this a known issue with LR 5.6 / PS CC?

I have been trying to remove all residual apple files from my computer in order to fully reinstall iTunes. My devices are not being recognized by iTunes currently. I keep finding an Apple file under C/: Program files/ common files/ ......Apple.. under that there is an Internet Services file folder.. I am the administrator and yet it says I need permission to remove these files.
Please advise.

This seems to have started happening after the last Itunes update I did as I was able to put music on my ipod touch a month or so ago. Is there some way to go back to an older version of itunes? I really have no idea what else to do since I followed every step on the trouble shooting page for windows 8.

Go to 'Settings'
'Music'
Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
Then connect to iTunes and sync!

Oh I know there are many other vocabulary mistakes but never mind them I was just too excited when I wrote all of that while typing very quickly
