Issues with buying Iphoto Album

Hi
i am having troubles with iphoto when trying to buy the album I just created.
The album is there then I click 'buy album' enter all details required then I can see the downloading page - it starts downloading and it crashes after the 3rd picture. I have never experienced this before and uses Iphoto quite a lot.
There is an error message and then iphoto shuts down.
Any idea what the problem is? how to fix it?
i have tried to purcahse a single card, no issue I got the order.
Could it be the size of my album or the pictures?
I have tried several times - restarting computer etc.
thank you!

Someone said maybe it was because I downloaded the pictures into IDVD then moved them over. Would that do it?
How did you move them from iDVD into iPhoto? To get them into iDVD you first have to get them on the HD somewhere. Then from there you can put them in iDVD manually or into iPhoto first and from there into iDVD. But that shouldn't have any affect on that.
In case it may be a permissions issue, download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administrator login name, long or short, in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field. See if that will help. Also run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. DU works on applications and system files, BatChomd is for users to apply to their files in their User folder - NOT system files.

  • Issues with NAS, iPhoto, RAW file format, AEBSn, Leopard

I think I've isolated it down to a networking stack issue with Leopard, but I was hoping I could get some more thoughts/advice. I don't want to downgrade to Tiger, but I may need to! Either that or host my iPhoto library locally.
    Scenario:
My iPhoto library was messed up. Some albums were missing and it couldn't seem to find them. Rebuilding my library was giving me errors. So, I decided to start fresh. I created a new library and began importing files. I noticed that my RAW (.CR2) files were showing glitches in them! These were major glitches, like big squares of blue or yellow and distorted pictures. I checked the original pictures, those were fine. I checked the pictures in my new iPhoto library, those files are corrupted! Not the thumbnails, but the files themselves. I opened the file in Photoshop to verify. Yup, busted.
    Attempted Solution:
I tried downgrading to iPhoto 7.0 from 7.1.1, thinking that that might be the problem. Still having issues with the RAW files. Do I need to downgrade to iPhoto 6? I can't believe that's the answer. Even in iPhoto 7.0, the problem persists.
Now here's the interesting thing: not all files are broken. Some files work, others don't. Some files are imported without glitches some of the time; reimporting them results in a glitch. That suggests to me that it's a networking problem.
I'm using 802.11n to an AEBSn2 (gigabit), which has a ReadyNAS NV connected to it by gigabit ethernet. I don't think it's a hardware network thing since everything seemed to work in Tiger.. I think it's a way that Leopard handles the networking stack. Didn't they revise the underlying network stuff for Leopard?
    Help!

Are you able to switch to 11g? I heard that helps for some people. I haven't tried it yet. Right now, I have about 7500 photos, so I want to copy everything and back it up. Once I get it backed up, I'm going to try other solutions, but it may be a few days before I get anything tested.

  • Why won't latest iTunes sync well with latest iPhoto albums?

After doing extensive updates of iOS, iTunes and iPhoto today, iTunes now can't see all the photos in some iPhoto albums when syncing my iPhone 4S.
Anybody having a similar problem?  Solutions?

Often, this problem can be fixed if you locate and remove the iPod Photo Cache folder(s). A new one will be recreated the next time you sync Photos with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Deleting this folder will not remove the original images from your library.

  • Issue with recent "iPhoto Videos" not showing up in "Event Manager"

It has been awhile since I used iMovie '11 on my MacBook Pro with Retina Display.  I believe the last time I used it was in September or October of last year (2012) as most of my editing I have been doing on the iMovie iOS app as it has been sufficient for the majority of my needs.  I was running low on storage on my iPhone this past weekend and so transferred off all my videos to iPhoto.
I had need to edit some of the clips I transferred off and imported in iPhoto yesterday and so went to iMovie on the Mac to do so.  It had to process the new files and then it upgraded the thumbnails to high resolution images and it was then I noticed that it did not recognize any movies after September of 2012 in the "iPhoto Videos" section of the "Event Manager."  I was able to go into iPhoto and locate the more current videos to insure they were there and that they worked (I was worried at first they did not transfer off and just deleted or were corrupt in some manner).  I have tried restarting iMovie, rebooting the Mac, etc. and nothing seems to work.  Oddly enough, I can manually import the iPhoto files and iMovie finds them that way and they do work when manually imported.  For whatever reason they just do not appear in the "iPhoto Videos" section of the "Event Manager."  I am hoping someone here has an idea on why the Mac seemingly decided to stop recognizing videos after a certain date (September 2012 as is the case here) and how I can go about resolving the issue.

    Hi Folks,
Your iPhoto access in other programs such as iMovie depend on ~/library/preferences/com.apple.iApps.plist. Whenever you add new videos to iPhoto and close iPhoto, this file gets updated. If corrupted, pull the plist, open iPhoto and a new movie and then quit. See if iMovie picks it up.
As long as you have the latest dot release, I believe you should be fine in compatibility.

I had this problem and this fixed it. The problem started for me right after I upgraded iPhoto 9.4.1 to 9.4.2. I had to quit both apps, remove the plist file, launch iPhoto, then quit iPhoto, then launch iMovie... then iMovie asked about thumnails for videos and the iPhoto videos were back in iMovie.

  • How to solve issue with strange iphoto events shown in itunes for sync IOS devices ? This issue is very old and not been fixed by apple... terrible

all softwares latest version january 2013.
I see in itunes many strange crazy iphoto events that in iphoto do not exist.
These vents are named as data and contains just few photos.
each event can be sync with IOS devices, but that event is not in iphoto !
It looks like miniatures... no way to solve this issue making all possible maintenance in iphoto library.
THis issue is very old, very terrible, people start to have doubts about iphoto as a reliable software.
    Need a fix asap.
    Apple please help!
I were with 2 hours at genius bar but nothing.
Genius told me apple have been informed and they are working on a solution..... this 4 months ago !!!
    Need solution asap
    THanks
    Fabio

Apple aren't here. As you're the only person with this problem that I've seen on here, I would suspect that its more a local problem on your machine than something Apple need to fix.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

  • Sporadic USB drive issue with Mini -- iPhoto can't save, can't eject

I recently bought an Ultra stackable USB enclosure and a 1 G WD SATA drive. The drive formatted ok and I was able to move 500 gigs worth of media onto it. So far so good.
Now, sporadically iPhoto and iBank (possibly others too, but I haven't kept track) complain that they can't save their data. They can open it but they can't save it. Running "Verify and Repair" from disk utility yields nothing. Rebooting and running the disk utility yields nothing either.
When that happens I close all the apps and try ejecting it. Finder says the drive is in use and cannot be ejected. "lsof" output from terminal yields nothing. Only thing that helps is either a reboot or "hidutil eject -force" followed by remounting the drive using the Disk Utility.
After that all is well for another 2 days or so and the problem surfaces up again. I am dumbfounded as to why this happens. The drive seems ok, everything seems normal, so I am lost.
Any thoughts before I call AppleCare with this ?

No, I eliminated that problem by connecting directly.
I noticed that I may have accidentally placed a shortcut to "Macintosh HD" on that drive. It is possible that ejection issues could've been caused by that, i.e. "Macintosh HD" is always in use. Perhaps that was my problem ? I deleted the shortcut, we'll report what happens.

  • HT2638 Issues with my Iphoto

Whenever I open my Iphoto the curser shows a busy a signal and causes me to close out of Iphoto. It loads my pictures but immediately after I click, the busy signal stays.
I saw the process to fix this issue, but my fear is that my photos will be lost. I won't be able to back up the photos because I'm unable to open them.
    PLEASE HELP.

You don't need to open iPhoto to back up. And you should have a full back up of all your important data all the time.
    Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
    Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate

  • Would love help some tech issues with buying the iphone/upgrading my plan because I had a TERRIBLE RUDE chat with Jenna

I don't know how to contact you by email, but I just want you to know I had a terrible live chat with someone named Jenna, just not at 5:26pm PT. There was no survey at the end to rate and give my feedback, so I am doing so here. I wanted to spare your dignity and not take it out on the company by posting publicly on your own page, so I am doing so in this message because I still respect your service overall. I feel that you just have to know Jenna was cold, lacked any interest in my issue, and even sarcastic at times which I found extremely unprofessional. I've never been treated by any rep at Verizon this way before. I just had concerns about buying the iphone 6 and she in no way eased those concerns or gave proper explaining, so perhaps she needs more training. Not a good way to sell your company or product, that's for sure. If I wasn't on here through a company contract, I would easily have switched to another service. if you have further questions, feel free to reach me/message me back.

Speaking of being rude and needing a "workshop that you can attend on empathy, positive energy and how to be more kind to human beings", your message certainly speaks for itself. Out of our collective posts, YOURS are the only ones which resort to insults and name calling. I take it you WILL NOT be leading that workshop.
As to your statement "i got the message the first time", my two posts are about 2 unrelated items in your OP. It is NOT me posting the same information twice. The first was about the availability of your receipt and the 2nd was about your claim you thought you were replying in private to Verizon and you should read a bit more closely next time if the email you got led you to believe that. Seeing your reply to me, I can certainly understand your need to do so. I'm sorry if you think me trying to keep your personal information private and not being spread needlessly across the web seems rude.
Hopefully you got your receipt with the information you needed.

  • Issue with recent iPhoto/Photo app syncing-updating and deleting issues.

I had sync my mom's iPad to her iPhoto library only to find that I cannot delete photos from her iPad without first sync-ing up to her Mac and deleting photos from iPhoto, first, then re-sync her iPad to delete the photos from her iPad. Her Mac is running 10.5.8 with iPhoto 9 (8.1.2)
Why can't I delete her photos directly from my iPad?
I can delete images/photos if I just send them over email and save them to her iPad photo app without using iPhoto, but it's a long inconvenient process.
Second, I made a slew of edits to her photos after initially sync-ing them to her iPad. The iPhoto makes the updates, but when I re-sync her iPad, the iPad is not transfering or updating its photo app database to reflect the changes I made to her images in iPhoto.
    What Gives?
I am going to have her download an image editing app for her iPad eventually, but for right now we are using iPhoto.
Why isn't the iPad accepting the updated data from the edits I make in iPhoto?

I'm trying to find out the same thing and have been for quite some time.  Just updated to Maverick and now I can't even get in to iPhoto!  Aggrivated!!

  • Issues with the iPhoto 9.5.1 update on MacBook Pro with OS 10.9

I installed the iPhoto 9.5.1 update on MacBook Pro with OS 10.9. Now iPhoto will only open for a few seconds before it crashes. Over and over again. Help, anyone?

We could not complete your update.
There is not enough disk space available to install "TITLE".
Have you checked your free disk space? Do you have at least 10 GB free as working space for the operating system plus a few GB for the download and install?

  • I am having issues with my iPhoto application. Anytime I connect my camera to my computer and try to import the photos, iPhoto crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still no luck. How can this be fixed?

I have read other posts similiar to my problem to try those solutions such as searching for 3ivx add-on but it was not found on my computer. Not sure how to get iPhoto to start working again.

I import photos and the last time I imported photos was in November. Just recently I've tried importing photos again, with the same camera to the same version of iPhoto by connecting my camera and when I click "import" the program freezes and closes. After iPhoto closed the first time I thought that it was just an update that it needed so I updated iPhoto to the latest version. The same problem with importing is still occuring.

  • TS1140 I am having issues with an iPhoto book that I created.  When I try to purchase it, it fails to load for payment, yet I don't see any error messages in the book itself?  Help!

I can't seem to get my photos for an iphoto book to load.  It will assemble the pictures, but at the last step, it never progresses with loading the photos - I always get an error message.

    how doe the preview work?
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
    what is the error message?

My iPhoto has been quitting unexpectedly upon opening for a few weeks now. Im running on Mac osx 10.7.5 and the iPhoto is version 9.2. I've tried the ilifeassetmanagement folder option but I cannot find the folder anywhere. I downloaded iPhoto library manager and all my photos and everything are still there, my only issue is being able to open iphoto, not just to browse, but also to upload new pictures taken on my iphone, any help? I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • Issue with buying subscription to NHL Gamecenter Live

Hello community!  I'm in Australia and tried to subscribe to NHL gamecenter live via Apple TV  but it says "no iTunes products are currently available for purchase in your geographic region".  Is this because the 2013/2014 season hasn't started yet?  I know it is available to Australia. Do I have to purchase the subscription from the gamecenter live website first?  ATV does have the option to purchase direct through it's app...so I'm not sure why I'm getting this message.
    Thanks.

I live in British Columbia, Canada. I spoke with customer service at NHL Gamecenter today because I wanted to purchase NHL Gmamecenter Live for the 2013-14 season via the iPad app. But when I tried, the app said "no longer available". I want to buy the season through the iPad app because I have iTunes gift certificates that I want to use, which is how I paid last season. Anyway, I was told that they do not know when the iPad app will be updated and that they, customer service, have been told to tell would-be subscribers to subscribe through their website. And then you can log into the app and you're good to go. So, if you want watch now (i.e. pre-season games), grab your credit card and head to their website.  I'm going to wait for the start of the regular season to see if I can subscribe via the iPad app and use my iTunes gift certificates.

I am trying to purchase the Mobile Mouse app from itunes on my ipad 2 and keep getting the above error. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I have tried to buy the app in itunes and I recieved the same error, turned my ipad off and on again, signed out and back into itunes, and still no luck. Any ideas?

Forgot to mention, I am running os 5.0.1 and itunes 10.
