Issues with Car Bluetooth and the 9630

Hey guys,
Over at the crackberry forums there are many people reporting issues with the tour and car bluetooth. Basically, for people that are syncing the tour with the bluetooth in their cars, people can barely hear them. We can hear everyone just fine, but when talking the person on the other end reports that our voice is very low. This is happening on VZW, Sprint, Bell and Telus, which leads me to belive this is an issue with the OS itself. I was using a Verizon 8830 World Edition until I upgraded to the Verizon Blackberry Tour on launch day July 12. I never had any Bluetooth issues before and I'm not having any now. As a matter of fact, I would say the quality is a tad better. My volume is controlled by my car when the Blackberry is connected via Bluetooth and I've actually had to turn it down sometimes because it has been so loud. I drive a 2007 Toyota Landcruiser. I suspect it has less to do with the Blackberry than it does with the car. Perhaps there's a Bluetooth software/firmware update necessary for some of your vehicles?
All in all, I love this new Blackberry!!

Since updating to webOS 1.3.5, the connect and disconnect problems have mostly gone away! Thank you Palm!
One minor complaint still with Bluetooth (if you are listening Palm): The Nissan OEM kit supports up to 4 phones. I paired my wife and kid's phones to the car, including my Pre. When any other family member is in the car with me with their phone (non-Pre), my Pre will not connect to the car. Their phones connect just fine even though my phone has been paired to the car to be the "primary" phone. Only when I am by myself in the car will the Pre Bluetooth connect/disconnect work flawlessly. Thanks again for getting us this far!

To resolve this we would like to consolidate this list down to one board and tell you up front what information we need.

Further information:
Please remove all previous pairing from both devices and carkits before deeming it an "issue." We attempt to diagnose and identify all issues, however some issues are simply resolved by removing pairing from both the device and the carkit and then resetting the connection back up.
It may be important to check back regularly. If it becomes an issue that we would like to diagnose further we may ask for help from the community by contributing log files from the device.
You may receive a PM from me or another Palm employee asking for this information (we can be identified by orange logo's next to the name).

LPX issues with LR, BFD, and the GUI looks like Garageband now...

I downloaded LPX a few days ago. Everything worked fine except BFD Eco, which is what I use almost exclusively for drum samples (primarily demo work at this stage).
I also bought an iPad Air per rave reviews of the LR app. Got that setup, and it worked, but as with other users on the forum here, it started to crash on me within moments of turning it on and pairing it with LPX. So I searched the forums and found someone who was advised to delete the .plist files under ~/Library/Preferences, then restart the machine. They were also advised to delete any old .plist files from a previous version of Logic, which I also did.
[Back story: I bought the AC7 Core app a couple years ago to try and perform transport functions from my iPhone. This app "tricks" logic into thinking it's a Mackie interface, so I figure that somewhere during the install, Logic got really confused about my using a Mackie controller which is interfering with my use of the iPad LR app. Other people are having the same issue... seems like a solid bet, right?]
So I deleted the following files:
com.apple.logic10.plist
com.apple.logic.pro.cs
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
And now LPX looks like Garageband. Check it out:
It has those crappy wood panel bars on the left and right, I don't have access to the mix window, I can only see channel strip plugins by using the inspector... this is weird! Which file did I delete that could have caused this? Or am I missing something else?
Additionally, LPX prompted me to download additional Drummer kits AFTER I went through the whole "download additional content" process, telling it to DL anything I didn't already have.
This was all a wild goose chase to reduce latency from my iPad Air to LPX. It can automate faders and sends fine, but playing drum pads and keyboard lines has a noticeable delay (about 50-100ms). So if anyone is willing to help fix the GUI, it would also be super nice if you could give me some pointers on reducing latency & improving stability with the LR.
In case anyone's interested, BFD Eco is still not functioning properly. Bought it in 2011 and apparently I need the 64-bit version. Purchased from fxpansion and now my machine can't find the install script file to actually upgrade my license. eesh.

To get out of GarageBand mode, open your preferences, go to the Advanced tab and be sure to tick "Show Advanced Tools."

Issues with Captivate 5 and the Audio Editor

I downloaded the trial for Captivate 5 (I previously used Captivate 4) and I am disappointed with the recorded audio editor.
(Please excuse the incorrect terms that I might use.) In Captivate 4 when editing recorded voice, the sound waves were bigger so editing them to remove breaths was easier. Now the sound waves are so small (even after adjusting the Zoom to 100) I cannot really see the breaths to insert silence.
Also, I am constantly having adjust the volume and increase the dB level to make the audio louder and easier to hear, which I did not have to do with Captivate 4 (and I am using the same equiptment and set up). It seems as though Cativate 5 is softening the recorded voice and I don't need that.
I feel like Capticate 5 has lost functionality the with the above when sound editing, which doesn't seem right to me. Is there a way to fix these two issues in Captivate 5 so it functions more like Captivate 4?

Having issues with IP Phones and the RV042 Router

We have recently purchased Ring Central IP Phones and are having audio issues. We have a RV042 router with two WAN connections. We called Ring Central Tech support and were told that IP Phones will not work with the RV042 while loading balancing is enabled. Has anyone ever successfully setup IP Phones with a RV042 router while having loading balancing enabled? I configured the port range that the IP Phone use to be bound to WAN 1 but still having problems. Thanks in advance.

"Copy to clipboard" issue with Acrobat X and Skype extension in Firefox

This post is just to let you know that there is and issue with Acrobat X and the Skype extension in Firefox.
I don't know why but when both programs (Firefox and Acrobat) are opened and I try to copy something from a PDF I always get an error
message like "Impossible to copy into the clipboard. An internal error occurred".
If I close Firefox or I disable the Skype extension for Firefox everything runs smoothly.
It is really odd, I don't know if it is a problem of Acrobat, Firefox or of Skype....
Are anyone experiencing the same problem?

Just found your post after getting the same problem with Google Chrome and Adobe Reader 10. It doesn't happen all the time but is annoying. If I switch Chrome off the problem is cured. Switch it straight back on and the problem reappears. It has only started after Skype was installed. Thanks for posting - I'll just switch Chrome off for now when I want to copy and paste unless a fix appears.

Bluetooth issues with car with iOS 8.0.2 and iPhone 5

I am still experiencing issues with connection my phone to my brand new car, after updating to iOS8, and now iOS 8.0.2.
I can connect to the bluetooth, but this gives me a phantom call, my car keeps telling me that an incoming call is inbound. I cannot receive or make any phonecalls, I have only access to my contacts list.
I have tried to remove my car on my devices list, changed the name of the phone, changed the password. Did a reset of the phone.
Deleted all network connections on the phone, and reset the phone completely. And also restarted my car.
Still the same issues.
I did not have any issues with iOS7. And my car is a brand new Mazda 3 2014, with the latest firmware to the car. So i know for sure this is the iOS 8's fault.

after avoiding the hassle with the troubled IOS 8, IOS 8.0.1, i upgraded to 8.0.2. which I believed to be bugless, the iPhone 5 didn't function in my car (2014 model) anymore. It had worked flawless with IOS 7....
I'f got phantom calls, freezing the cars display and blocking the radio, in the second the bluetooth connection to the phone is established.
incoming calls go to the phone and at the cars system is nothing to hear.
Active calls from the car remain silent, even on the car display it looks like there is a connection, only the music is switched off.
Hopefully Apple staff is reading here and will change this situation soon.

Anyone noted Bluetooth connection issues with iPhone 4s and Ford sync?

My wifes iPhone 4 with IOS 5.0.1 auto connects to Ford Sync at least 75% of the time on first attempt. My new iPhone 4S with IOS 5.0.1 takes 4-5 attempts and rarely if ever connects without multiple attempts. Any one else seeing issues with failed Bluetooth connections with iPhone 4S phones?

Look at the right panel for links to other threads concerning problems with Fords. And it's not just Fords, cars in general. No solutions seem to be given.

Bluethooth connects with car bluetooth but no sound. This problem started after up dating to IOS 8.0.2. Any suggestion to fix the problem?

Problem: Bluetooth connection with car indicated: connected.
               Incoming call: no sound (caller's voice) from car speaker.
               Out going call: no ring sound through speaker.
              At random shows calling but can not hangup & no ring sound.

I uploaded ios 8.0.2 on my iPhone 6 128 GB today 9-29-14 due to problems with Bluetooth talking to my ReSound Linx hearing aids to hopefully fix the problem. It sounds like the Bluetooth looses connection to the hearing aids and turns them off for about 1 1/2 minutes, then they come back on and I can hear again. I understand there are problems with Bluetooth and cars using the phone. I believe this Bluetooth problem is causing my hearing aid problem as my hearing aids connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth and the ReSound Smart App. I tried the reset fix, Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings as some have suggested but that did not resolve this issue either. I can't believe Apple is not talking about this ios 8.0.2 Bluetooth problem. This affects my everyday life in that I cannot hear when the Bluetooth drops.Try working with your hearing dropping every few minutes! If Apple wants in the Health field, I suggest they take their QA a little bit more serious than they are at present. Whomever was responsible for testing ios 8, 8.0.1 & 8.0.2 should be fired! This is causing more trouble than anyone can imagine. I understand the car - Bluetooth problem but think about the fact that if every time the Bluetooth drops, you can't hear.My job could be in jeopardy. That's what I would have thought, but even after saving the setting, as soon as I shut down my computer or log out of Mail, it automatically defaults back to 25. It's a bit frustrating.
Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of those horrible pop-up banners but still have my glass sound and number of emails in the red dot when I get an email...
These little tweaks are the only thing I HATE about upgrading my OS.

I went to a apple store at South Park, Charlotte NC,
and found out the worst customer service (in my case)
They don't have answers and don't understand about "dont let any customer go away sad or mad"
I explain to them that I did everything they said to fix the problem, even to dounload the iOS 6.1.3
that was supposed to fix the problem.
they said fix the problem in other phones but not in mine.
So here I am with no wifi and bluetooth, with apple technicians and experts that don't know what to do with the problem that the sofware they developed cause in my iphone 4s.
and the solution is for me to pay $199.00 US dollars for a problem that I did not cause.
wich means to buy something else from apple to fix a problem that it is not my fault.

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

If you are having issues deleting a specific message from an iMessage conversation (not seeing the Trash icon), you may want to double-check that you are following the steps outlined in the following article:
How do I delete a message?
To delete a message, tap and hold the message bubble, then tap More.
Tap Delete All to delete all the messages. Or tap to select the messages you want to delete, then tap .
After you delete a message, you can recover it only by restoring from a backup.

I have an issue with BC. When the shopping cart is used it takes stock out of inventory and holds it, regardless of whether or not a customer proceeds to purchase. OK.
To make matters worse, the stock is only cleared from the shopping cart when the customer closes the browser - not when they close the shopping window.
Now lets say a customer doesn't close their browser for a month - it happens! .. when their stock is finally returned it may throw out our stock levels that have in the meanwhile been adjusted. So their stock will be added on top of an accurate stock take, putting stock in that isnt really available.
This is causing us mayhem.
We have not yet seen if stock is actually returned at all. In the test we did today where we filled a shopping cart then closed the browser without making a purchase, the stock was not returned immediately. So we dont even know when it will be returned - thats IF a customer actually closes their browser. Any solutions out there?

Hi there,
The way stock is managed in this situation is desirable for many in that case otherwise shopping on a site and adding to cart would not be viable or use friendly.
What you mention about not closing a browser though is a case that is not true. IF you go into the shop settings in the admin you can see the cart restore timer which is by default 24 hours but you can change this to as low as 1 hour if you wish.
