Issues with Hyperlink

Hi All,
I am using the following syntax to open a crystal report from another report. Crystal reports are exported to BOXI 3.0 repository.

When I paste the above link in the browser, my report is getting opened up and waited in the Parameter Entry screen with all the parameter values filled up. Once I click the Execute button I am getting the report. But I want the report to run automatically without clicking Execute button based on the parameters.
Anything wrong with my hyperlink syntax?
I am using CR 2008.
My datasource is BEx query and all the parameters that I am passing is BEx parameters

Hi Brad. I do have a BETA I can post. It is minus the content since it's private info but it's just the page links I'm questioning. Specifically... from the "ADHOA WEST" (green section). All of the NAV links go to the "ADHOA MASTER" (Orange section pages). More over, the hyper links are connected to the right masters in the file but here in the BETA they read as connected to the "MASTER ADHOA" pages with the same name. In the site plan, I have 2 master pages for the "MASTER" section and 2 masters for ther "WEST" section. In my site plan view, it looks right and links right but in the published view, it doesn't. Any help would be much appreciated!

Issue with Hyperlink in the Office 2013

Hi,
i have creared a hyperlink in my outlook 2013 email for a sharepoint it was working excatly fine. however we have asked to paste the same vanity URL in the word'2013, which is not working or taking to the excat location.
I tried all the support and forums to fix this, but dint happen. when i convert that word document to PDF the link is work perfectly. why it is not working in WORD.

Do you get any error message when you click the hyperlink in Word?
Have you tried opening other hyperlinks in Word? What's the result?
Please right-click on the link in Word document and select "Edit Hyperlink", then check if the link address is correct. Also try to copy the link to the Internet Explorer and check if it will open.
Please let me know the result.

Issue with RTL order in hyperlinks on Pages 5.2

Hello,
I am having an issue with the Arabic order when trying to add a hyperlink to a text in Pages 5.2. When I type the sentence without the hyperlink the order is perfect, however when I add the the URL link to the selected text the sentence order becomes corrupted.
Could you please let me know if there is some feature that I am missing to apply or is just that the RTL support on Pages 5.2 is not very good?
Do you have a workaround to this problem?
So far the only way to solve it that I found it was to create a transparent text box with the link over the sentence. However I would like to found a better solution to this.

Issue with File Download(messageDownload) on Search Page.

Hi,
I created a custom OAF search page which fetches values from one table. The document in getting stored in my custom table in a BLOB colums and NOT in FND_LOBS.
The table has 3 collumns along with others:
1st is primary key (Record_Seq) ==> number data type
2nd to store actual file name (File1Name) ==> varcahar2 data type
3rd to store the actual uploaded data (File1Data) ==> BLOB data type
The reason for having the “File1Name” is so that I can display the original file name of the document that was uploaded, instead of just the “view” in the search page results .
On the File1Data BLOB and created a messageDownload for that under query results table with following details:
ID : File1Data
ItemStyle : messageDownload
FileMIME Type : pdf
Datatype : BLOB
View Instance : LacEmpExposureVO1
view Attribute : File1Name
File View Attribute : File1Data
When I click on the "File1Name" data hyperlink, it is opening only the first document corresponding to the first record in the search page results.
For example, If my search page returns 10 rows then when I click on the file1name on any row, It is open the first row file name only.
I have a primary key column(RECORD_SEQ) in the Table / EO / VO which is displayed in the search page results.
Also one weird thing is happening:
If I try to do this more than 2 times then it is opening the update page with the first record from the search page results…
I tried to print the context and it is nul the first time, But the second time then context is changing to "update". Dont know how this is happening????
Any advice is greatly appreciated as it is very crucial for me to get this resolved ASAP. I have looked at several forums and did a lot of things as advised in the forums . But nothing seems to work for me.

Issues with using relative links in Captivate 8

Is anyone else having issues with using relative links in Captivate 8? These links all used to work in the previous version of Captivate. And I could have sworn this was fixed already once in Captivate 8 but it's popping up again for us. Here is the situation... We have courses that are made up of multiple lessons which as separate Captivate files. Within those lessons are buttons to link to external documents (which live in a shared document folder), demonstrations, etc. We use relative links because we post these to our amazon servers and we also sell them to clients where they can post them on their own web servers or in their LMS. SO we can't put in full paths for the links or we'd have to change them constantly. So an example is that the link for a button might be "../Document/nameofdoc.pdf" This would be going to a user guide or something that is posted in the "Document" folder that lives at the same level as the lesson's folder. But now, all of the sudden, none of our bazillion links is working. And I've tried buttons, hyperlinks, and even the old click box. Nothing works with relative links. And I did check the permissions on every file and folder on our Amazon server to verify nothing changed there as well. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue with relative links using Captivate 8. I am trying to load Captivate modules into an LMS using relative links to document files within the LMS. The links work fine during a site page test so not an issue in the LMS, but from the Captivate module they aren't working....
Help?

Sorting not working in a report with hyperlinks

I have a report with hyperlinks for one column and I noticed that sorting is no longer working on that report. If I use another version of the same report witout hyperlinks; sorting does work fine.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before and what would be the solution.

I didn't remove the sorts and was trying to sort again on another column.
So this is resolved.
Now another issue; when viewing this report in Interactive mode; the column with hyperlinks doesn't have the sort option when I right click on that column. The sort option does show up but it's grayed out (disabled). When I go to Edit mode; it does allow me to sort on that column.
Anyone has noticed this?

Authentication issue with Xcelsius/Portal integration

I am facing an issue with the way we have integrated our Xcelsius dashboard with our corporate portal. I know this probably is more of a SDK question than Administration, but I figured I will ask it here anyway since Tim and some others are diverse enough in their knowledge base. This might be LONG post but please advise if anyone has any good pointers.
We have an Xcelsius dashboard that needs to be served up via our corporate intranet (based on MS Sharepoint 2007). Now we are NOT using the MS Sharepoint Portal Integration Kit, but just doing a basic integration of the SWF call within a web part on Sharepoint. All this means is that within a portlet (web-part) on Sharepoint, I am making a HTTP call to the openDocument URL to invoke the SWF file. So the SWF is actually served up from our Tomcat App Server, and displayed onto this frame within the portal. That is the basic idea.
To achieve this, what I did was write some custom code using the Java SDK to modify the openDocument a little bit. By doing so, I was able to insert some behind-the-scenes-login code wherein no matter who the portal user (Win AD-based) is, he is logged in to BOE as a generic "dashboard-user" and the dashboard is served up. This worked fine for the first dashboard where all we had was SWF and some WebI linking using openDocument (no full-InfoView access).
But in this second dashboard now, what we also have is a hyperlink for users to get to InfoView to do Ad-hoc reporting. What this does is open a child browser window from within the portal (dashboard) --- and it remembers the BOE session for the generic user id "dashboard-user" and logs the end-user in to InfoView using that. But what I actually want is that the end-users, on this new window, should only be prompted at the traditional InfoView logon screen where they can manually enter their Windows AD password and get in. Thus, I would like to keep the dashboard SWF page session separate from the InfoView ad-hoc session, which I cannot seem to do because of the browser relationship and session maintenance.
I am trying to find a way where I can simulate a single sign-on for dashboard viewers on the portal, but at the same time let them jump off to InfoView as themselves.
Any thoughts on how I can do this?
Notes:
We DO NOT have Single Sign-On enabled for InfoView
We are using Windows AD authentication (manual, no SSO)
We are on Tomcat

There is no best practice per se but the less service account the lower your chances to duplicate an SPN, functionally everything seems to work just as well with multiple as it does with 1 (of course with 1 there is less management work) If you click the SSO link in my forum sticky post I have a section explaining this with some suggested methods of deploying a service account(s)

Using the default config nothing should be required on the client machine (unless SSO has been disabled in the browser or you intend to use a url that contains a period ..... (i.e. FQDN or IP) with hostname URL (the default) it should just work.
To note if you have XP SP2 or older there is a microsoft spnego bug you may need to apply a fix if you aren't patched to SP3 (about 5% of our customers run into this).

We are facing some issues with Adobe Professional 9,
The problems are as follows while converting the DOC file to PDF using Adobe Proff 9.
1) Bullets are missing
2) Crossreferences are not working
3) adding junk characters in header.
Can you please help me on this.

Just some stray thoughts on the topic:
Use Adobe PDFMaker to create the PDF from the MS Word file.
When a MS Word cross-reference is inserted, ensure that "Insert as hyperlink" is ticked in the Cross-reference dialog.
In the configuration of Adobe PDFMaker's Preferences, ensure "Add Links" is ticked (under the Settings tab).
Ensure that the installed Acrobat (and associated Adobe PDFMaker) is working with a compatible version of Office.

For all characters used in the source MS Word file; ensure that the characters used provide proper mapping to Unicode.
Do not use characters that rely upon a restricted character value.
When using Word Headings/Styles that incorporate the bullet character, ensure you work from those that are "built-in" to MS Word.
If you are working out of Windows 7 / Office 2010 you need to move up to Acrobat X.

InDesign crashes when syncing book with Hyperlinks in master

Hi,
I seem to have an issue with InDesign crashing when trying to sync a Book (INDB file) with page links (Hyperlinks) in the Master.
Ref. Hyperlink panel > Edit Hyperlink > Link To: Page
I've narrowed the crashing issue down to InDesign only crashing when the Style Source (containing the master with page links), tries to sync with another doc in the Book that uses the master in the Pages panel. Thus I do not get a crashing error if the doc does not contain the master in the Pages panel.
For the pages that did not contain the master on the Pages panel I noticed that the Hyperlinks were labelled differently from the Style Source (ex. "hyperlink 1" from the Style Source would be "hyperlink 2" in the first document synced with it (assuming only one hyperlink present).
If I remove the Hyperlinks (page links) from the master, the error no longer occurs for any of the pages.
I put the links on the Page as opposed to the Master to test functionality and they work as expected. Although part of the reason for having the Master is these links appear exactly the same across multiple pages in the Book.
I've tried to export all my pages as IDML files then re-save them as INDD files to no avail. Did the same to all the files as well with "Save As" which didn't do anything either. I then installed the latest patch I could find: Application Version 7.0.4.553 (See all InDesign Patches), which also did not work.
Not sure if this is a bug or if what I'm trying to accomplish should be done differently.
The links in the Master need to link to the first page of select docs in the Book. Similar functionality to how a rendered table of contents would behave.

I had the same problem, and it turns out that the problem is having the same file into different folders. For example I had an MP4 in iTunes, and the same file in the photos folder that was being updated to the iPad. So I just removed one file and it syncs perfectly.

How to get the UIDRef of Text frame associated with hyperlink?

Text display issues with htmlText, Embedded Font

Hey All,
I'm having an issue with the display of my hyperlinks in a
textfield that is using embedded fonts. It offsets the hyperlinks
to the left along the line they are on and the underline doesn't
stretch all the way under the text field. The text display normally
when I don't embed the font. For some reason I think this might
have to do with the embedded character range so I opened it up.
Does anyone know if this range is enough or if there are special
characters flash uses that need to be embedded for their width even
though they arn't displayed.

So many issues with CS4 (bugs/rants)

I'm glad we can get trials. There are a few major issues I'm
having.
Viewing in Safari, when clicking back onto Dreamweaver, the
top bar will interact with Safari's tool bar. I have to click on
and off to get Dreamweaver to draw on top of Safari. When this
happens, there are also white flashes where windows are blank when
clicking once on a tab or design view, then on second click the
window draws. So anytime I click on the tool bars the page flashes
white (empty-void of my html) and reappears on next click. This
happens on first start, does not happen if I relaunch DW.
Table <td background> background input is gone from the
proprieties palette.
Table height does not display when selecting a table, only
width. So you have to go into the code and manually change or
delete the table height.
Some image/graphic outer edge colors do not match the defined
html color on the page in Dreamweaver but do in Live View and
Safari.
Selecting an image and linking it, automatically populates
without a border="0" resulting in an unwanted border color. It
should be "0" by default like version 8.
The color picker is not calibrated correctly. Using the
picker on a table cell with the bg color of #990000 gives me a
reading of #A31B12. And then getting a reading on the table cell
with #A31B12 the color picker reads #AC3022. So it progressively
gets lighter, while picking colors from the actual html, if doing
multiple cells. So not sure how the color pickers needs to be
calibrated to read the hex value because it's not currently doing
that.
I can't drag a file to the tab bar and be allowed to open it.
Not sure why that's not allowed?
Now some of these might be the new way DW codes, some might
be fixable with settings, but the color picker and random flashing
and viewing issues with Safari, linked images with no border seem
like actual bugs to me.

Yeah - it's there. But I was mistaken - it's in both the HTML
and the CSS
'tab' of the EXPANDED Property inspector - you have to click
on the little
almost invisible white triangle on the lower right-hand
corner of the
inspector to see the expanded section.

Issue with magazine subscription

I went in to read a magazine I'd previously downloaded and read as part of my subscription (Vogue Knitting); however, I'm being asked to pay for the magazine again. The subscription is showing up as live until January 2014, so it isn't an issue with an expired subscription. Any ideas?

In the meantime while you wait for Apple to approve your app update, you could always update your published folio to include a "back to library" button somewhere in the design. Then just use

Once again: Issue with Spaces in XSL

Hi forum,
I searched the forum and found several posts on this issue, yet no suggested solution seems to work for me:
I'm having to instances of type XmlType, one being an XML instance and the other being an XSL instance.
I set xml:space="preserve" at the stylesheet, added a space with <xsl:text> </xsl:text> and even tried various other options.
When I then transform the XMLInstance like so:
XMLInstance.transform(XSLInstance) the resulting XMLInstance is properly transformed, but all spaces are gone.
Although trying hard, I wasn't able to find a working solution. Strange is that this seems to work without any issues in XMLSpy when I convert the stuff manually.
Can anybody help?

According to your description, your hyperlink is not working after exporting the report into Excel. Right?
In Reporting Services, Hyperlinks that appear in text boxes are rendered as Excel hyperlinks in the cell in which the text is rendered. Hyperlinks for images and charts are rendered as Excel hyperlinks on the image when rendered. When clicked, the hyperlink
opens the client’s default browser and navigates to the target URL. However, it still reported issues of Hyperlinks in Excel. Please see a similar threads here:

Issue with URL attribute in Header

Hi,
I am facing an issue with the URL attribute.
I have created an header attribute #HDR_TEST_URL and selected the type as URL.
Given a default value as http://www.google.com as the url
Associated this attribute to the Notification message.
But in the notification, the URL is being shown as the plain text not as a link.
Can you please let me know what I am missing here.

Please check the notification format if it is text then it might not be shown as a url but if it is HTML it might show up, if it is not showing then i would recommend using the anchor tag to create the Hyperlink.
