Issues with leave application in MSS

Hi Experts,
I have a issue , actually changed teh portal content of MSS applications including remaining activities and leave request in MSS
Properties changed:
Height Type: full_page from automatic
Isolation Method : UAT from embedded
I have observed adverse effects on the application for ex: manger applying leave on behalf of his DR and the leave gets deducted from mangers quota rather than Drs leave quota.
Please suggest as to what should be done as the above mentioned changes were made in order to resolve an issue with portal that was of portal page not loading fullly and to resolve this issue we changed teh config properties of portal content but this is resulting in other issues what should be done in order to come out of both the issues
Regards
Pooja

Pooja,
The issue is "manger applying leave on behalf of his DR and the leave gets deducted from mangers quota rather than Drs leave quota".
We all, with confidence can say; this is an issue  NOT at all related to ACTIVITY:
Properties changed:
Height Type: full_page from automatic
Isolation Method : UAT from embedded
I request you to first check how the logic is implemented in above scenario i.e. X applying leave on behalf of Y and leave deduction of Y. This is root cause which needs to be analyzed and fixed.
Regards,
Ganga

I'm not able to update Smurf's Village. Tried most of the things proposed on the net including restarting the iPad and trying syncing with the computer. Had a similar issue with another application. Had to delete and reinstall it, with all history lost.
Tried following up with the developer's instruction. Didn't help. Developer suggested contacting Apple if their instruction didn't work. Tried the various methods recommended on the Apple site. Same result.

Telling is that you tried most of the things on the net doesn't tell us exactly what you did try, so we are all still left to guess .....
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again
If that doesnt work - go to Settings>General>Date and Time - set the date ahead by a few months. Try to update again. If you get an error message of any kind - go back and change the date and time to automatic again. Then try again.
If that doesn't work, restart your router and reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Issue with Setting Application Item

    Hi All,
I have an issue with setting the value of application item G_USER_ID as part of the login process.
    I use customized authentication for login. I have created an application item G_USER_ID, and in my CUSTOM_AUTH procedure, I am setting its value as APEX_UTIL.SET_SESSION_STATE('G_USER_ID', l_user_id);
For some reason, the value is not set to G_USER_ID the first time I login. When I log out and login again without closing the browser, the value is set. Note that I even tested with a static value instead of l_user_id like APEX_UTIL.SET_SESSION_STATE('G_USER_ID', '5555555'); but still fails to set during the first login.
I hope someone can guide me as to what I am doing wrong here.
    Thanks!
    JMcG

    What does this do?

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.
I am going to post in the software distribution forum as well, but thought this would be a config question.

Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step
works fine in our site-boundary where the ConfigMgr-server is installed.
Here's the log from a client trying to access and install one of three packages through the the Install Multiple Packages task-sequence step.

I know that the TS checks package dependencies before executing the TS. That's not possible with Multiple packages since they are variable dependant. I think this is somehow related although it doesn't explain why my client can't authenticate properly.
The Network Access Account is a member of Domain Users and Domain Users have Read Access on the share and on the folder of the VAXCMDP01 DP - which should be identically configured to our other DPs closest to our ConfigMgr Server.
    Any ideas?

  • Session cleanup issue with multiple Application servers

    Hi ,
I am facing a strange problem with multiple application servers. The java Webdynro session does not get cleaned up completely when user closes the browser ( without using logoff ). On re-login it gets handle of old session and then fails for consecutive view on other webdynpro iviews with an invalid session error. It again starts working with a refresh event.
Any ideas/suggestion if you have seen something similar before ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Amit.

    Hi Amit
It seems that issues is not server related, but caused by your client browser. I know, for example, that IE8.0 keeps user session even if two separate browser instances opened on the same client machine. IE 7.0 and lower behave differently - they are separate user sessions per browser instance.

  • EP 6.20 Class loader issues with irj application

    Hi All,
I have a servlet to interface with the SAP UM API.  I had deployed this as a WAR, but the SAP UM cannot be initialised outside of the irj application (SAP Support advised this it is abailable outside the irj application in 6.40).
As a result, I tried to deploy it within the irj application - I copied my jars to the WEB-INF\lib directory, and modified the WEB-INF\web.xml to include a new servlet and servlet-mapping.
I also had to copy some other SAP supporting jars into WEB-INF\lib (the XML parser impls).
This works fine for the UM stuff.  Ideally I'd like to redeploy the irj application so I don't have to hack the files and it would allow me to specify the additional libaries required, however there is now way I've found in the Deploy Tool to do this (you need the WAR of the irj application, or the project file).  So this is problem 1.
Problem 2.  The next extension included support for user mapping data.
    Using -
    IUserMapping iUserMapping = UMFactory.getUserMapping();
    iUserMapping.getUserMappingData(systemAlias, iUser, mapLogonData);
I was able to read the mapping data, but this required knowing beforehand, all the system aliases.  With a response from SAP Security, it was suggested
    IUserMappingService iums = (IUserMappingService)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IUserMappingService.KEY);
    IUserMappingData mappingData = iums.getMappingData (systemAlias, iUser);
be used to obtain mapping data, and that
    com.sap.portal.pcm.system.ISystems sysSrv = (ISystems)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(ISystems.KEY);
    String[] systemAliases = sysSrv.getAliases();
be used to obtain the system aliases.
The problem is with the class loader.  If I copy the jars with the classes for the IUserMappingService and the ISystems, to the irj WEB-INF\lib I cause a class def not found with other EP6 applications.  This is also the case when I add them to the JVM classpath (I know this is bad - but it was a last resort!).
Hoping someone can help me redeploy irj with my application that will resolve problem 2! If not, maybe some advice on problem 2?
    Cheers,
    Scott...

    Hi Scott,
THis isnt an answer to ur Question, but could u tell me which jar files are needed for the packages:
    com.sap.portal.pcm.system.ISystems
    com.sap.portal.pcm.system.ISystem
and under which path I coul dfind them.
    Thnx
    Regards

  • Issue with ADF Application Report Generation

    1) We are developing the web-base ERP application we are using technology as follows
    a) Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux4.
    b) Application Server Oracle Application Server 10.1.3
    c) Oracle ADF is the frame work
    d) Jasper reports (iReport 3.0.0) as report generation tool.
While generating larger reports using iReport3.0.0 Tool i,e., contains more than 20,000 records the query while executed in Sqlplus takes less than a minute, but while the report is run it takes more time leading to time out and the pdf file is not generated. The error shown on the screen is “the web server unable to process the given request”
The session time-out is 5 minutes. Please help us to tackle this issue since most of the reports are summarized reports and contain large transactional data and is critical reports.
You may also suggest other web based report tools which help us generate large reports in PDF and/or text formats.

    PRABEETHSOY,
    some things come to mind.
While generating larger reports using iReport3.0.0 Tool i,e., contains more than 20,000 records the query while executed in Sqlplus takes less than a minute, but while the report is run it takes more time leading to time out and the pdf file is not generated.Running a query in sqlplus is totally different from running it in an application. Sqlplus only pumps the results to the screen, whereas the application builds some layers around the data, so that you can navigate through the result. This will cost some time.
You can try to optimize your strategy working with the data, i.e. running the query in forward only mode and/or omit the usaeg of EO where you know you don't need to change data.
But in the end you may find that you have to use a different approach to generate the reports: do it asynchrony, meaning that you start the generation on the server, let it finish there (putting the result in a file) and send the finished report to the user in a different request. Do do this you can use a poll component, or you ask the user to come back later (giving him a report number to ask for). Other solution are possible.

  • Urgent :- Issue with deploying application in Oracle Application server

    Hello All,
Hope all of you are doing good ! I am facing an issue relating to deploying applications using the Enterprise manager. When i deploy the war file using Deploy WAR file option in the OEM, i get the following error -
Failed to deploy web application "gCube". Failed to deploy web application "gCube". . The configuration files for this OracleAS 10G instance are inconsistent with the
configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. The exception associated with this failed operation is:
    {0}
. Please also check the logs located at
ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating
the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are:
    * permissions on files
    * file contention issues on Windows NT
    * internal Oracle error
After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration
files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem.
Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD
process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
    Root Cause: invalid stream header
    Resolution: . invalid stream header
Please could you throw some light on this issue and also provide a resolution to fix this issue at the earliest ?
Your help in this , will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ramanan.

    Hello All,

  • Nss issue with an application

    HI,
we are using an application since 10 years now. This application use a share on an oes11 cluster. (it was on a Netware 6 before)
Workstation are Windows seven x64 mainly and some Windows XP (Novell Client 2sp3ir1+ Xp Workstation 4.91sp5ir1).
The application is used to managed business case. For each business case it creates a directory and several files in it. When you open the application on a device it open the last business case you were working on last time. You can decide to open another case, so the application create the list of all the busness case, then you pick up a case to work on it.
So our issue is the following :
    user A open a case
user B launch the application and try to open a new case. When he do that the application failed when it browse the file system on a file from the case open by user A.
Normally the application browse the file system and display the list of the case. If a case is open by another user it just show that this case number is in use.
It used to work perfectly on a Netware 6 box, but it does not work on our OES 11 box.
If i put the share on a Windows box, the application is working.
This application is very important for us and our business, and i don't understand why it is not working anymore on an oes 11 share.
Can you help me to find out what it is going wrong ? I pick up a procmon trace and it only show INVALID HANDLE on the file open by user A
With Wireshark i don't see any error.
    Any idea ?
NMAS is disabled, File caching is disable also.
    Stephane

The application is a very specific one. The name is Winchant and has been done using Windev.
I have open a case and i have done some trace using Wireshark and processmonitor.
The application is presenting to the user a list of busness case. Each of this busness case are a directory with multiple files :
    OES11SHARE\WInchant\case001
    OES11SHARE\WInchant\case002
    OES11SHARE\WInchant\casexxx
The application root directory settings is OES11SHARE\WInchant\
So when you open the application it is browsing and after a few seconds you have a window with all the cases. Then you open a case. Let's say case010.
On a second device you open Winchant, the application browse the directory and failed on a case10 file.
In Wireshark and ProcessMonitor the error happen on the case10 file and it is : "Invalid File Handle"
If i put the Winchant directory and subdirectory to a Windows Share, the application show you all he case with and grey line on the case010 to reflect the fact that it is open on another device.
I have put the application directory on a OES11sp1 box with latest update (April Maintenance) but it is the same. I have disable Oplock, File caching and Cross protocol file locking.
I have update the Novell client on the seven box to 2sp3ir1.
    No change.
I will also update my SR number with yours (10813788341) and let you know.
    Thanks

  • Issue with Java Application with ECC - Connection Issue

    Hi
We have developed one java application to connect to SAP to extract some data. We are using java API (sapjco) to connect to the SAP. Now we are facing one issue u2013 for the ECC while connecting through the java application we are getting u201CUserid or Password incorrect erroru201D, but with the same userid and password we are able to log through the SAP GUI. If we changed the password with all CAPS (Capital Letters) and without numeric values, its working fine in java application (Means its connecting to ECC)
We are facing this issue only in ECC; the same application is running successfully in SAP 4.7 etc. without changing password.
    Please Help!

I would draw the conclusion that you have to provide the paaword in upper case. There is a standar java method there that does this for you. Just do it before sending the password.

  • Issue with Oracle Application Adapter (11g) for SAP

    Hi,
I need to call a WSDL file that is generated through Oracle Application Adapter Application Explorer from a BPEL Composite in SOA 11g.
The wsdl files are stored under the path $SOA_HOME/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/wsdls by default.
I’m not able to see the wsdls in the Resource Pallette while trying to invoke the adapter. Kindly let me know the workaround for the issue.
    Regards,
    CC

    Hi Chandu
For SOA 11G, in order to access the BAPI WSDLs ,you need a third party adapter service which comes with Jdeveloper version 11.1.1.2.0 . I am not sure if this is available with Jdeveloper version 11.1.1.1.0. So make sure you have the correct version of Jdev for development.
Also in 11g when you generate the WSDL(outbound service) from AE, 4 files are generated.
    XXXX_invoke.jca
    XXXX_invoke_request.xsd
    XXXX_invoke_response.xsd
    XXXX_invoke.wsdl
You need to copy these 4 files to your Jdev project folder and configure the third party adapter service to invoke the SAP BAPIs. Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Issue with Oracle Application testing Suite

    Hi Experts,
I am new to Oracle Application testing suite.I am trying to record a flow from oracle Store inventory management application.
But when there is a pop up for entering login and pasword the flow fails with "invalid user id and password".
But when the same is tried manually I am able to login without any issue.
What could be issue ? is there any setting issue ?
Can someone help me with this issue ?
    Regards
    prash

I'm new to Oracle Testing Suite so im unsure of exactly how to get the desired results. If an ORA error message is displayed on the screen i want to make the page fail. So is there a way of making the test fail if certain text is present on the screen?
Secondly i want to create a script that recognises a change has happened to the application (such as a link takes the user to a different page than expected when the script was created) and fail.
Do you have any idea on how to achieve this
    Thanks

  • Issues with AIR Application on 8000x2500 Interactive Wall

    Hello,
I am trying to develop apps for a large interactive wall and I seem to be running into the 4096x4096 bitmapData limit. This post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8277639/no-more-constrain-on-bitmap-resolution-in-flash -player-11?rq=1 says that the limit has been removed since Flash version 11 (I'm running Flash 12 and AIR 4.0) however I am seeing display object being cut off at exactly x=4096.
    My app is basically this...
I have 30 sprites (each 600x428 and each with an image on front and back) spread evenly across the wall (10 colums and 3 rows). I use Papersprite and Tweener to flip (rotationY) each sprite over once they are touched. Before being touched, they all display perfectly across the wall. When I touch a sprite past x=4096, they dissapear completely, or they are literally cut off/in-half at x=4096. Before x=4096, they flip perfectly. Also, another application I made has many images that are 8000x2500 and they each fade in/out, also using Tweener, to the next with zero issues like this at all.
According to the link above the bitmapData size is dependent on the OS and RAM. The wall is run by very high end computers with the latest graphics cards and stacked RAM.
Can anyone explain what is happening and how I can overcome this issue?

CAB would be detrimental to performance on the top container for sure.  CAB just creates bitmaps of your sprites and therefore uses up a lot of memory -- that's why I was enquiring if you were using it.
I you are using CAB, I would disable it and see what happens.
My guess is that your GPU memory gets filled-up / corrupted during the compositing step of the second frame.   Rendering the first, full frame is fine.  Compositing the portions that have changed in the following frames, isn't.
    Things to try:
Using stage.invalidate() to force a redraw of the entire stage, not just the portions that have changed since the last time the frame was drawn.
If you have a mouse move handler, you might also want to try evt.updateAfterEvent() and see what happens.
Try CPU and Direct render modes.
PaperSprite isn't a standard AS3 class, and a cursory look at http://blog.soulwire.co.uk/code/open-source/two-sided-planes-in-flash-player-10 seems to point to it doing some funky things with stage.invalidate() -- surprise, surprise ! -- and the Event.RENDER, etc.  It may all be fine, but it could also be that your problem comes from the PaperSprite class.  What I would try is to use a regular, single-sided Sprite, instead, as a test, and see if the same problem occurs when you try to flip it.  If the problem doesn't happen, then I would dive into the source code for PaperSprite, or come up with a different approach, like flipping quads in Stage3D.
In case you are new to molehill, the best source to get started with Stage3D, imo, besides the AS3 documentation code examples, is this book:
    http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Stage3D-Molehill-Programming-Beginners-ebook/dp/B006EEJSHM/ref =sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393740087&sr=8-1&keywords=molehill+stage3d
