It's hard to tell what went wrong. Some possibilities:
1. Your iPhone did not have enough free space. Once it works, check Settings > General > Usage
2. There was an issue with your internet connection so the update did not download properly.
3. One of the many update steps got interrupted somehow -

I've got very unpleasant issue with my IPhone 4s, it can automaticaly turn on the 3G even if my local mobile operator does not have 3G coverage.
I hate it, 'cause my battery dies in a couple of hours. How can I solve this problem. It is very annoying. I just thinking about jailing!!!

I'm not talking about carriers that support 3G, I'm talking about AUTHORIZED iPhone carriers. There is NO SUPPORT available for iPhones on networks other than those who are authorized BY APPLE to carry the iPhone.
The iPhone should work with any compatible GSM carrier. If your carrier is not on the list I linked to, you will have to work with them to resolve any problems. There is nothing else anyone can do for you. -
Any one having issues with newsstand apps after updating to iOS 6?
Not a single one is working now. Just says "loading" for a big then quits back to the home screen. Could this just be the individual apps not having updated themselves?
Hi guys I know what u mean. This is ridiculous about paying them money for technical support when there is problem from apple side not from us. No wonder there share price is going down and Samsung is taking our the Apple. If its gonna carry on like this then I won't be surprise apple will be in category with Nokia n blackberry. All I can suggest is if your phone is still under apple 1year warranty them make an Genius Bar appointment take to to apple store. Hopefully they will solve this issue but then again there is nothing wrong with our iPhones it's the bloody iOS 6.1 update which has got bugs that drains the battery out. My second suggestion is we should scrap the crap apple and move to android if apple not willing to solve our issues.

My purchased tones still not on my iPhone after updating iOS 8.1.2
I have the problem of my purchased tones is not on my iPhone. But the purchase tones appeared in my iTunes. I have updated my iPhone to iOS 8.1.2. I thought by updating the iOS 8.1.2 will solve my problem. But I am still facing the same problem. I have tried to sync, back up and also use the link iTunes.com/restore-tones, but all I received is "Your tones were not affected". I have 3 purchased tones which still cannot be restored on my iPhone.
I also purchased a couple of ringtones. Mine vanished with the initial iOS 8 update. I was so excited when i found out that Apple was addressing this issue that I took the update for 8.1.2. right away. Sadly the the "fix" didn't work. It says "Your tones were not affected". That torques me. Not only did the fix fail, but declares to me that my tones were not affected. What, do they think they have a Jedi mind trick? These aren't the tones your looking for. Please Apple. Do not insult us.

A lot of us like a normal sized phone. The reason I have been a loyal Apple customer is the commitment to beautiful yet functional design. Not everyone wants to cram an iPad in their pocket. If iPhones are going to be the size of a Samsung Galaxy, what is the incentive to stay with Apple. My next phone will be a 5S. I will use it for a couple of years. If the iPhone 7 is a behemoth, maybe I will change brands. -
Issues with game center after updating Ipod! Please help
After updating my daughters Ipod touch it wouldn't let us login to her game center account. Is there a way to look up her apple id for game center just by her game center name and nickname? When we login with her email address she had to create a new nickname and everything however we have previous emails from friend requests. Can anyone help us? I don't know what else to do she doesn't want to loose all the games that she has been playing for months. It's weird how it says her email is a new apple id when that is what she used before to create her game center account. All help appreciated. Thanks.
Try holding down the sleep/wake and home button until iPhone shuts off. Then hold down the home button while plugging into your computer. Your iphone is now in recovery mode. iTunes will detect this, and you can attempt to restore/update from there.

Do the following, then try again:
1. Close all open apps: Double click on the Home key and then swipe up on each of the thumbnails that appear above the open app icons
2. Sign out of the iTunes store: Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on your Apple/iTunes ID, then sign out
3. Check Settings>Safari, and make sure that "Block Cookies" is not set to "Always". If it is, change it to either of the other two options
4. Make sure you do not have Restrictions turned on. If they are turned on, make sure that access is allowed for Safari, iTunes Store, Installing Apps, and Deleting Apps
5. Reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays sign back into iTunes and try again

After updating to 4.3.2 my phone is either sluggish when changing apps or non-responsive. I have tried sync'ing and turning the phone off and on, doesn't make any difference.
Have you tried a hard reset?
Hold the power and home button at the same
Wait until the screen goes black and the white Apple logo comes up on the screen.
DO NOT release the buttons until the white Apple logo comes up on the screen. -
Issue with lost messages after updating....
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the following....
I recently (...regretfully) completed the software update to v 20.0.019 via PC suite...before the update I made a back up of ALL files onto my SD card, which according to my backup options should include settings, messages, contacts etc... I then removed my SD card to complete the update for safety measure...After the update was completed, all of my messages had been deleted from my inbox, and when I came to restore my files from the SD card, everything but my messages were restored!!! :'( They were non-existent!!!! Why?
I've attempted setting the messages to store onto the E: Mass Memory drive then doing the restore from the memory card, but nothing...
Also when I try to restore my messages, the restoration is incomplete and an error message pops up which says "unable to access the file. messages will be stored onto phone memory"
My memory card is an 8GB card and my phone currently says that 1.7 GB of this memory is in use, but I have nothing else saved on the memory card so I think the data file from that backup is saved on there, but I can't seem to access it.......could it be due to the software being incompatible with the messages or vice versa??
Is there any method of retrieving them? Please Help!!!dude if you rearrange the one app that's by itself onto a page that's not full, the iPhone will recorrect itself and delete the 'blank' page of non apps.

Has anyone had this issue with CUPS-PDF after update to Yosemite?
It states the PDF is getting made but have looked and no file ever gets created. The printer Queue shows a file but it always pauses the queue and even after resume it does not create a PDF file

I have a MacBook 5,1 (13.3" aluminum from 2007 or 2008). Automatic updates will only let me get to OSX 10.5.8. Can I upgrade to Snow Leopard, Lion 10.6 or even 10.6.8? Also, will I have any issues with my iPhone if it's updated to iOS 7.1?

You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.8 Mountain Lion without going through 10.7 Lion with the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody. The Model 5,1 will probably run 10.9 Mavricks when it comes out.
10.8 Mountain Lion is a download from the App Store, the price is $19.99.
Mountain Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Mountain Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.
