Issues with Samsung Startosphere

Okay so first of all I got the stratosphere less then a year ago. It was fine for the first few months but then it started not charging or holding charge so I went to the verizon store and they said to buy a new battery and a new charger so I did... just to find out that was not the problem. I went back and they tried to charge it there and it wasnt working so they sent me a new phone by mail. I returnted the old one and activated the new one. Thing is the mniute I started it up my SD card would not load to this phone. It kept saying unable to detect SD card. I went into Verizon and they said to back it up on computer but didnt say how :/ I still do not know whats up with it. I am extremely frustrated with it though! Please Help!!!

You've had quite an ordeal, Luauprincess12! I want to help you put an end to it. In regards to backup the data that's saved to your SD card, here are the instructions:
1. Turn on your PC computer. Allow your computer to boot up and show the desktop screen. Double-click the "My Computer" icon. This will open a separate box showing the contents of your computer. One of the drives listed will correspond to your SD media card drive.
2. Remove your SD media card from your camera and insert it into your PC’s SD card slot or card reader. Look at the list of drives on your computer and take note of which drive is for your SD card. After you insert your card, the drive name will usually change to reflect the brand of card you are using or the type of device (SD) OR you can connect your phone to your PC using your USB cable.
3. Double-click on the SD card drive. This will open a new window, showing the folders on your SD card. Double-click on one of the folders to view additional folders or the photos inside.
4. Locate the “view” icon on the top part of the screen to change your view to “thumbnails” so you can see small images of your photos on the screen. Click the first photo you’d like to copy from your SD card to your PC. Hold down the Shift key while you click on the last photo you’d like to transfer to your PC. All photos that are highlighted are selected to be copied.
5 Keep pressing down the Shift key and right-click. Select "Copy" from the menu that pops up.
6 Locate where you want to save your files. You can place them in a folder you have created for photo storage or on your desktop. Open that destination and right-click in that folder or on your desktop.
7 Click on "Paste" in the menu that pops up, and your files will be copied from your SD media card to your chosen location on your PC. You may now work with your photos directly on your computer. The original files are also still saved on your SD card. You simply made a copy of the files to work with on your computer.

Issue with Samsung LN32B360

I have seen an issue with the new 32" Samsung LN32B360 while looking at it in two different stores.This model is sold at BestBuy and Target.
The issue that I have seen on both is with the picture settings. There are three different modes for the picture, dynamic, standard, and movie. If you change this setting to either standard or movie, then turn off the TV and turn it back on it will change back to dynamic by itself. The menu isn't holding the setting.

Issues with Samsung Galaxy Tab S after installing 5.0.2

Hi all, After updating to the latest firmware I have had nothing but issues leading to the tablet now being useless. Power drains in seconds dropping from 53% to 2% in 3 minutes and loosing mobile connection every few minutes. The tablet turns itself off constantly and it is completely useless. I have done the usual, deleted cche partitions's, soft reset, complete reset, deleted all data on SD card inserted and checked SIM in my phone to make sure it works. Anyone else had these issues or other, this is redicoulus. After waiting months for the same update for my Galaxy Note 3 I am staring to have other issues with this also and this is very worrying. many thanks

The update is FOTA. Your device will notify u when its your turn. They send them out in batches.
Now you can take it to a best buy to the Samsung experience center and have them flash it. Also a Att device support center can do it.

Sony X85C - Bravia Sync Issue with Samsung Homecinema and WD Live Box

Hello I purchased the 2015 4k Sony TV X85c line, its the 55" with Model Nr: KD55X8507C (silver bezel). The latest Android TV version from mid July is installed and the TV is working fine - except for the interaction with my 2 other components:- a Western Digital Live streaming player box- a Samsung Homecinema HT-D6750W I knew i could run into problems when mixing up brands, but the issue now is really bugging me: The Samsung homecinema is connected via the HDMI 4 ARC to the Sony TV. The Westen Digital is connected to the homecinema. All devices are HDMI CEC compatible, thus on the Sony I can see the other devices and even control them with the Sony remote - which "concept wise" is really neat, but something is failing. It seems that the Sony trys constantly to switch between audio system (Samsung) and its own TV speakers when choosing how to deliver the sound. This somehow interfers with the menu dialogs of the Sony. As soon as I connect the Samsung Homecinema and go into the display menu to change image settings / modes it the menu will crash after some seconds (it just fades away). This does not happen when the homecinema is not connected, but then of course im missing the sound of my homecinema. So there seems to be a certain interference and I assume it could be because of the constant audio switching between TV and audio system. I already tried to deactivate all HDMI-CEC features on the devices, but for the Sony TV's bravia sync its impossible to deactivate fully (the menu is just greyed and "on"). I'm getting some new and state of the art HDMI cables later this day, maybe this will bring a positive effect. Anyone experiences something similiar with the X85C range of products? I "solved" the problem: Bravia Sync does not seem to be compatible with HDMI CEC / Anynet of the Samsung homecinema. I deactivated all HDMI CEC features on the samsung player and the WD TV Live box, and then the deactivation of bravia sync was possible on the TV. After that the issue with the menu crashes was gone. Now i try to get digital audio with optical to the samsung player. So i connected optical out from the Sony TV to the optical in of the player. There are different settings to be made in the sonys audio menu now which I'm still not sure what to do. It has different compression modes for the audio (auto 1, auto 2, pcm). PCM seems to work for most digital audio content, but i fear DTS is not supported by the Sony. I tried the XBMC Kodi Android App on the Sony TV and got digital audio on some movies, but not all of em....not sure if its an app or TV problem. Oh well..for the moment i stay with the WD live streaming box which supports all audio formats and is connected via HDMI to the player, but its just a very slow cpu in there, so it would be cool to use the more powerful TV as streaming player.

Issues with Samsung 840 pro and MacbookPro mid 2012.

I got a Samsung 840 pro 256GB SSD a few months ago. I installed it into my MacbookPro mid 2012 and it worked with no issues for two months. One day the drive pretty much crashed on me while I was using it. I tried connected the drive with a SATA to Thunderbolt adapter and the SSD worked with no issues. This led me to think the issue was with my mac, so I reinstalled the HDD I was previously using. I experianced no issues with this drive installed. Simply put, the SSD does not work if ONLY if it is connected to the internal SATA connection. I wound up RMAing the drive back to Samsung and recieved a new one today.
I installed the drive and attempted to install OS X without success. After more troubleshooting I determined that, the brand new drive is experiancing the same issue: it does not work ONLY if it is conneced to the internal SATA connection. I spend an hour on the phone with Samsung, they have not heard of this problem happening. I called an independanta Mac repair shop and they told me it was the SATA cable (this is incorrect because other HDD's work). I went to the Apple store but they don't care about you unless you're willing to shell out big bucks or you have AppleCare.
Somebody help!

One possibility is that the model you have is intended for use with a SATA III 6.0 Gb/s interface whereas your computer only supports up to 3.0 Gb/s. If the new SSD is not downward compatible then it will not work properly.

HDMI Audio issue with Samsung Plasma

Hi all,
I have a mid 2010 Mac Mini that I bought for my HTPC. I am unable to get the HDMI audio to work after trying a number of connection possibilities. Here's the setup -
Mac Mini to Samsung via HDMI cable (1.3a) in either HDMI port - no audio
Mac Mini to Samsung via HDMI cable currently working for my uverse service - no audio
Mac Mini to Insignia LCD via HDMI cable in either HDMI port- no audio
I thought it was hardware, so I made a genius appointment and took it in. They gave me a new mini. Same exact issue.
When I switch to SAMSUNG in the sound properties, it tells me "The selected device has no output controls"
Video works fine.
What am I doing wrong? Did I just get two bad boards? This is really freaking annoying.

I have the same issue... perfect image on a Samsung TV UE32EH5300, but no sound. I tried changing the input name to HDMI/PC (and tried all others) with no success.
Altough I noticed one rare thing. I opened Mountain Lion AudioMidi Configuration and selected the HDMI output. Can't move the volume controls because these are supposed to be controlled on the TV. But when clicking at the Speaker configuration and making a test for L/R speakers... each TV speaker (connected by HDMI) reproduced statics.
THEN I'M CONFUSED!!!!... how can I hear sound produced by the computer but can't have the normal audio on HDMI???
Any help???

Teathering issue with samsung galaxy s2 GT i9000

Recently i bought my blackberry wifi only model. i tried teathering via hotspot and bluetooth via my samsung galaxy s2. Actually it gets connect but unable to browse any site or open any application.
My same samsung s2 can teather with other devices.i checked all settings and found ok.
is this known issue of teathering via s2 ?
when RIM will bring fix for this issue ?

Issues with Samsung SSD after Mavericks

I bought a Samsung SSD 830 in the Summer of 2011 (for my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro), and it's been working fantastically until I upgraded to Mavericks. What's peculiar is that my computer works fine when it's plugged in to my Time Machine external HD via Airport. When I disconnect it from my home setup to take it elsewhere, it stops responding after some time. What I mean is that none of my open files (e.g., Word) are able to save, and when I click Finder, it's completely blank and can't take me to any of my folders. Likewise, in the spotlight search, when I try to find a program or file, it does not show me anything aside from a possible definition of the word which I searched from Dictionary.
I contacted Samsung not too long ago and the tech support guy said that the SSD isn't as good on Macs as it is on PCs, and that I may better be better off returning to the optical HD (which I do not desire to do).
It's important that I mention no problems with hardware (I brought my laptop to the Apple store and they did not see any damage with wiring and etc. for my HD). Likewise, all the diagnostic tests come in just fine. I also upgraded my RAM to 8 GBs around the same time as installing the HD.
If the Samsung is truly a lost cause, what would be a recommendation for another quality SSD for my Mac on Maverics?
Hopefully there is light at the end of this tunnel!

Since the problem was fixed you should do a clean install this time of Mavericks 10.9.1
You would need to find out which application / program you install on your clean MacBook Pro makes your system slow and stop responding.

2. The Samsung Magician failed to Authenticate

HDMI Issues with Samsung LED 3D TV

Purchased a 3D LED TV from Best Buy at end of 2010 for nearly $2500. The HDMI ports have now blown 2x, once in warranty, and now just out of warranty. Appears to be a flaw with this TV. Image qualtiy is/was excellent, and 3D not too bad. Cars have recalls - isn't it about time TV's have the same. If you intend to buy - get extended warranty, or else!

Voicemail issue with Samsung Intensity II

Can anyone tell me how to reset the VM on this phone? I have contacted Verizon support & was told to try *228 option 1 & if that didn't work to try *228 option 2. Neither worked??

Do you hear a recording? Error message? I would cal customer service, explain that *228 didn't work, and have them check the VM set up for your number.

Issue with Lion OSX and Samsung HDTV

Hi everyone,
I have a problem while connecting my Samsung HDTV model LNT3242HX with my Mac ever since I upgraded to Lion (I was previously on Snow Leopard).
I'm using a Macbook 2.13 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo (Mid 2009).
I use the Mini DVI to VGA cable and I hook it up with my TV. The thing is, with Lion, when I connect my TV, it doesn't fit the whole TV screen. There's about an inch to the left and the right where the screen stays dark. I did not have this problem with Snow Leopard.
When I check in my display preferences, my resolution is set to 1360x768 , however it says Usable Resolution 1280x768...And there's no way to change the refresh rate to anything else besides 60 hertz....
I don't really know if anyone can help? As it used to work just fine before, I assume there must be some kind of glitch between OSX Lion and my HDTV. I tried hooking it up to my other LG HDTV, and there is no problem, it's just with my Samsung TV.

I have the exact same problem except mine is a 52 inch tv and there is at least 6 inches on either side plus 3+ inches on teh top and bottom. Wasnt an issue with Snow Leopard. I read somewhere that I may need to buy a $100 adapter instead of using the DVI to VGI cable. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I use this setup when I telework and the screen resolution is too small to be useful now.

Rendering issue on Samsung S4 (specific models) with AIR app

We have an Android/IOS app compiled with AIR 3.9. It works fine for all devices but some specific models of Samsung S4. First let me describe the device models & compilation details, as below:
> Issue found on devices (given models only, on other S4(s) works fine):
     - Samsung Galaxy S4 (Model No. SGH-M919)
     - Samsung Galaxy S4 (Model No. SCH-I545)
> Compilation:
     - AIR 3.9 (also with 3.8)
     - Render Mode GPU
     - Bitmap graphcis
> Problem:
There problem is with redering of grpahics speically which are masked. Either those masked graphcis doesn't display at all OR display in wrong layer (also distracted) when Display List realted to that object is manipaulated i.e. A child object is added to the parent of masked object & the masked object appears above it which was previously not visible. Some masked obejcts are not displayed at all.

It was same with CPU mode rendering however when the render mode is changed to AUTO the issue is resovled. But then app is preforming too slow as it uses all bitmap graphcis.
It seems the specfic S4 models are using different type of GPU, though it should not create such weird issue. Can anybody suggest possible solution for this? OR have faced sismilar behavior on said devices ?

I am shopping, with a focus on Samsung, and was told by a Samsung rep their TV's were not compadible with Apple TV. I found this difficult to believe so I wanted to pursue with persons knowledgeable with Apple TV.
If I find that Samsung is not compadible I wanted to determine which lines, e.g. Sony, might be compadibile, as I wanted to use Apple TV.
