Issues with sync apps

Hi everyone...
I have recently restored my iPhone as the battery life is gone quite poor so I thought this might help.
I have managed to put everything back in but it has only added about 20% of the apps I had.
When I click 'Apps' when it is connected to iTunes, it shows all the apps I had and that I can drag and drop them, but it will only add some of them back in?
I have tried de-selecting them all, then sync, then adding some back in and sync. But out of 5 I selected, only 1 actually appeared on the phone.
I have a white iPhone 3GS.
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Hi Hannah,
Got mine sorted...... Restrictions.
Disabled them and all the apps re-appeared. Settings->General-> Restrictions->>Disable.
I "Enabled Restrictions" cause my 6yo has started to use the phone but I clearly don't understand all the intricacies.
If it's not this for you then have you changed anything else in the last weeks? No such thing as co-incidences..

Issues with syncing apps

Hi,
Just about a week ago, the IT support at my school "incidently" reinstalled my computer. I lost everything - included all my apps for my iphone.
When i plugged my iphone to my PC, clicked on sync apps, and clicked "transfer apps form iPhone to PC" (or something like that), iTunes didn't transfer all my apps - only a few of them. And since i synchronized my iphone, i lost over 70% of my apps. Luckily, most of them were free, but I lost some paid apps too.
Is there ANY way I can get those paid apps back without buying them again?
Do iTunes have any register where they can see all the apps I've bought?

Neither of these solutions work for me. I've re-authorized as well as attempted to transfer purchases without success.
Further, application updates downloaded from iTunes fail to install and produce an error. The only way to install is by deleting the applications on the phone, which loses all data (e.g. game progress). Very frustrating. These seem to be two fairly common problems.

Issues with syncing apps from pc to iphone 3gs

Hi. I have an iphone 3gs and up until a few weeks ago I had no problems. I downloaded about 10 apps through i tunes on my pc (windows vista) and although the apps are on my comp they wont sync 2 my phone. On the preview it shows all my pages but the last 2 where these apps are arent highlighted???

Issue with the App Store showing up blank.

Issue with the App Store, it will not let me search for new apps. The screen is blank. The update section and features section works, but it will not let me search for new apps. I have restarted my phone and no changes. The newest update to the iphones when the iphone 5 came out, i think, messed up this app. When i am looking at how to fix it, it tells me to delete it and try again, but the App store is not a deletable app. Any ideas why my App store, specifically the search section of this app doesn't work?

I suspect it is on Apple's side of things. Mine was blank too, but now it works again. Fixed itself one morning.

Since this first message, the "Other" space has increased exponentially. The first time, after the "restore", it increased to over 9 GB. Later, I tried a minor restore again, and now it's over 10 GB. I've seen someone suggest that text messages are to blame. If my text messages are suddenly taking up 4 GB of space, I think we've got bigger problems.

Hi, i have just recently started having an issue with Sync on my desktop. My associated Android and Mac Laptop do not experience any issues when attempting to sync, but the desktop constantly gives the same error. I have tried unpairing the desktop, clearing all files, restarting and then adding the desktop to sync once again, but the error persists.
All of the bookmarks on the desktop have vanished, but are still in my sync data and have no problems being viewed on the other paired devices. This also tells me that the issue isn't the sync server and is something unique to the desktop machine.
I am hoping that this won't require a reinstall, but if all else fails, it is an option. I will try to attach a log file once i have submitted the question.

I agree. Too many issues lately with sync errors and flash crashes. I'm going back to Google Chrome for a few months. Don't have time to be bothered with the nonsense and slow fixes.

Issues With Syncing With Outlook Calendar, Please Help...

I am currently have a Intellisync Issue with syncing with my Outlook Calendar.
When I try to go and set it up, it asks me which way I would like to sync (two ways, from BB to outlook, from out look to BB)
When I click on next, this error message comes up. Then the program just crashes and then I get back to the DM 6.0 software.
Anyone can give me pointers on trying to fix this.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Your Java player (if relevant) is not clearly indicated in your plugins list, and your Flash player is several versions behind. If Apple has an update site, you might check that first. Mozilla's site is here: http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

This sounds like an error in Time Zone support. The time zone needs to be the same in Outlook as well as the phone.

Delete background Apps from memory and then Reset.
To Delete background Apps, double click Home button, in the bar at bottom, hold down on an App Icon until the minus sign appears, tap all the minus signs, until all background Apps are cleared from memory. Then Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself, ignor the 'slide to power off' let the iPhone restart itself. Usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.

Issues with Server.app

hello together,
I have some issues with Server.app.
I connect to a server in our local network.
In the Users tab I see only local users of the server, not the network accounts
When I choose "Manage Network Accounts" from the "Manage" Menu, it tells me to configure the server as a network directory, but it is already configured as such.
When I hit "next" and enter account information for the directory admin it tells me that this server is already configured to manage network accounts.
How can I view and mange the network accounts again?

Just fyi, I was not able to resolve this on my migrated server. Every time when I imported the OD backup from 10.5.8 Server.app couldn't load the user or group list and issues an error message with "error 5000" or something. Check if you have that in your logs, too. If so, Server.app is no longer able to authenticate against the OD. There are several threads regarding this 5000-error, none of them worked for me. Usually this happens when the hostname, IP or something in the OD setup changes and the agreed keys no longer work for authentication. As mentioned, I never managed to get that to work again and had to use a fresh OD and create the users from a list (without pwd). Not very charming.
