Issues with updating my ipad

Hello. Per Apple tech, I uninstalled my firewall in order to update my ipad software to IOS. I did that and it did not work. It just sits there under "backing" for 5 hours and the bar across does not move. Please help. My laptop is up-to-date with mos recent iTunes software.

Tap the collections button top left in iBooks. I have Two.. Books & Pdfs.
Camera app, I believe, is only for the iPhone.

I am a windows/mac user... And I was Linux user for several years... And so far I have been really happy with apple but this problem is frustrating.
I don't understand:
1)Why can't I go back to iOS7 since this was apparently the most stable version for my iPad ?
2) Why is apple not doing anything about it, ?
3) If the problem is that my iPad's can't fully support the features of iOS8, why on earth have they made it available to iPad 2?
Any way, I will just wait a bit longer and probably start looking in to a Samsung tablet or something....

Issue with Update of Table VARINUM

I am getting waiting Issues with Update of table VARINUM. Has anybody faced such an issue.
I have a lot of Jobs which are running in background. I am submitting it through a report. what can be the issue.

Thisi is quite old, but not answered properly yet, so there you go:
SAP generates a new job and temporary variant on report RSDBSPJS, for each HTTP call,which creates database locks on table VARINUM .
This causes any heavyweight BSP application to hang and give timeout errors.
The problem is fixed applying OSS note 1791958, which is not included in any service pack.

Ok so I am having issues with charging my iPad as well. So I took advice from this forum and yes, if you turn the brightness down my iPad charges. Thanks Apple I just went and spent money on a new charger I didn't need. Really you need to fix this issue.

I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.

Cellular reconnectivity issues with 3rd Gen iPad 3G/4G/LTE

I've read a few other threads regarding a reconnection issue with the new (3rd Gen) iPad. I'm creating a discussion so people can put there thoughts here regarding the issues they are having with reconnection of cellular data connections.
I have AT&T 64B iPad Gen 3 with 4G/LTE. Black. Works just fine on wifi and my LTE screams at home and work. Faster than my cable at home. I have noticed something behavior regarding data connection when it's lost (like in a tunnel). I ride DC Metro to work and go through a few tunnels. Of course, my data connection drops in the tunnels. When I come back out the indicator on the iPad indicates 5 bars signal and LTE again. Problem is the data connection isn't there, no matter what app I try. I even get a popup window say my cellular data plan has not been activated (huh?). This isn't true since I am on, and have been using a plan. It does this whether it's 4G or LTE reconnection. Not sure about 3G because I haven't seen 3G icon popup on this iPad yet.
I'm thinking this may be an authentication issue? Else, why would it popup that warning? Anyway, all I do is is go into settings turn cellular data off and back on again and everything is fine.
I'm guessing that there could be a software fix for this in the future as there are quite a bunch of people having this problem with reconnection to cellular.
Please post your issues here in this discussion if you have this problem. Maybe we can figure something out.

I have the same iPad (3rd gen, 4G ATT, 64GB, Black). When it arrived last Friday, everything seemed to work fine, except the cellular data connection. It would constantly drop, and I had to toggle cellular data off and back on to get it back. Also, I was getting really slow speeds (on cellular data only - wifi works fine). I tried some simple fixes (restarting, resetting the network settings, restoring), but I kept having the problem. I finally made an appointment at the Genius Bar, and they immediately gave me a new iPad, saying "it could be a bad antenna." Here is the bad news. Even with the replacement, the connection seems to drop less often, but it still drops. The part that concerns me most is that the data speeds on my iPad are considerably slower than on my iPhone 4S when I test them in the exact same spot (I use the Speed Test app). So on my iphone, I get speeds around 3 Mbps, and on the iPad, I get speeds of less than 1Mbps. I can't see any logical reason that the 3rd gen iPad would not get at least as good or better data speeds as an iPhone 4S. The fact that I have now had two 3rd gen iPads with cellular data problems concerns me. However, it is very hard to tell if this is a software, hardware, or network issue. The fact that my iPhone is running the same update of iOS (5.1), and has no problems would seem to eliminate the software and network as causes, but I can't really be sure. I am going to watch the posts in the support communities for another day or two and then head back to the Genius Bar. Overall I love the new iPad, but this has been a real downer.

Joint Stereo Balance Issues with Headphones iPod iPad iTunes 10.5.0.142

This is a cross posting.
I'm running iTunes 10.5.0.142 on windows vista SP2. I have an old nano (2nd gen) and an iPad (1st gen).
Most of the files in my library are MP3 encoded using iTunes with default joint-stereo settings.
All of my library seems to want play through the Left stereo channel whenever I have headphones plugged in, either on my laptop, on my ipad, or ipod. Same thing. Doesn't matter what set of headphones (and YES I have switched the phones in my ears, so I'm not going deaf). I've cleaned my ear buds.
I've reencoded some of the files to AAC on iTunes Plus - the result is the same. The thing is that all of the settings indicate stereo in some form. NONE are mono. I can hear the track really really faintly on the right channel, but it's constantly as if I'm going deaf in one ear, and I'm not.
The REALLY strange things are this - when played out of my laptop speakers, there are no issues with balance. Neither are there issues when I play through Airplay to an Airport Express set up.
I've gone through my files, and it doesn't matter which ones. This problem occured before, but I think it cleared up quickly with an iTunes update at somepoint.
IT is RIDICULOUS. I do not have this issue with any other audio on my laptop, and it only started when I updated to 10.5.0.142. I haven't actually changed anything in the library other than that.
Please let me know if something is going on or what I'm missing here.

I noticed this problem first on my Windows 7x64 i3 laptop... I'd rather it not happen. Knowing how helpful Apple has been in the past at actually solving Windows problems. You might consider uninstalling and just syncing to iCloud unless you have a lot of music. As for me, I'm uninstalling it again on my laptop.

Are there any issues with updating to IOS 5.0.1

I have a brand new IPad 2 and I see there is an OS update available. I see there are issues with some IPhones, but I'm wondering if there is any reason not to update the OS on my IPad?

I haven't had any issues, although posts in this forum show some have. To upgrade to iOS5 you need to have your iPad connected to your computer. Once iOS5 is installed, further iOS updates can be installed via WiFi connection.

here is my requirement:
During Activity create/Edit upon choosing seller phase i bring questions based on update rules of q1 q2 and q3 from complex table.
Possible answers are also fetched from complex table based on selection of phase for each question. I have a update rules for answers to check the object collection(E) and determine if this phase exist or not, If exist previously selected Answers will bulled from collection for the corresponding question if not it has to empty.
All rule are working with out any problem.
Issue.
During create or edit if some one chooses phase P1 and answers for the questions and with out saving if they change phase then answers which are been selected earlier still exist.
This is happening in IPAD but not in ATE. I have checked the log for rules all the rules are returning values as expected.
So i tried the below options to test
1) with special value option in field level
2) I created a dummy field with update rule with value test. On creation i have modified the dummy field value X then changed the phase the value is not getting updated as per update rule.
Is it the real behavior of update rule? Is there any work around for this problem

So based on your comments above I have the workarounds I gave you.
1) A button that refreshes "resets" to make the screen repaint (in essence a button that just re-navigates to the same screen will make all the system reset) if you just want one screen.
2)Or the multiple screen approach. Let phase 1 be in one screen and the other questions and answers on others.
Not sure if you can just do 1 screen with multi-tiles - If this is better approach where the phase selection is on 1 tile (top tile) and the questions and answers are on a different tile (bottom tile).
The trick is to make the screen repaint. As long as you present to the customers a flawless flow you will be okay. The one that you don't want to happen is when your rules are buggy then it may be just a good idea to sell a more controlled flow that works than debugging what went down the wrong during UAT (User Acceptance Test).

Imessage and other Issues with 3rd Gen iPad

Hi there, just got a 3rd Gen iPad for the mrs and so far it's been great.
However, several rather annoying issues have developed and I can't seem to find the right trouble shooting for it, so I thought I'd try here.
So here they are:
iMessage & facetime don't work
Issue 1- Each time she uses her Apple ID log in for either feature a message "iMessage Activation: Could no sign in. Please check your network connection and try again". I've checked the network settings, I've reset them on the iPad and yet it seems to persist. Her appleID is valid as it works on her iPhone, which is using the same network/Wifi as the iPad, yet the iPad seems to decide it doesn't want to activate. I've signed in on my appleID and the same message seems to appear
Issue 2 - When using apps like Chrome a constant message will appear "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications" every time the app is open. This has been done, it's been backed up and it has connected to iTunes, yet these messages still pop up each time chrome is opened.

I also am having issues with my ipad mini as far as imessage . sometimes it works fine . Sometines I receive ok but it hangs on sending . i have tried everything . I think the apple server is a mess Most times I can only send If i am replying to a message i received . If i try to start a message it hangs . No reason found

My iPad 4 says not charging but it does slowly charge . I got it replaced on sat but the new one is the same . I have tried using a different power outlet and it is the same so it appears to be an issue with the new iPad

Can anyone help .my new iPad notes not charging when it is in fact slowly charging. I had it replaced 2 days ago but the new one has the same issue.it would appear this is a common issue with ipad4.can anyone advise on how to get over this problem. .thanks

I am stuck in a vicious circle trying to sort an issue with my Microsoft account.
I need to remove an old, defunct, email address and add a load of new security info however, depending on whether the date format on the page I keep being directed to is UK or US, either the updates haven’t happened or they won’t
be happening until next month – which seems ridiculous!
I’m trying to sign up for a Windows Store developer account to publish a Windows 8 app. I’m using my MSDN subscription to register for this (for free) but there is a step I can’t get past because it insists on sending a code to
my old email address – to which I have no access. It is picking up this address from my Microsoft Account Security info – however, I updated this info weeks ago. This is the screen I see (I’ve blurred out some of it as it seemed foolish to publish all my security

It says my old address will be removed on 03/04/2013 and my new info added on that same date. Does anyone know if this is UK date format 3rd April – in which case it’s a long wait or a US date 4th
March in which case it didn’t happen? I’ve tried phoning 5000 and the Microsoft Customer support lines but neither of them have a clue where to start. They just keep asking me if I’ve forgotten my password – which I haven’t.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this? My only option at the moment is to wait until 3rd of April and see if anything changes – which is not ideal.

Issue with update of BOM by Variant Config - Cost relevant indicator

We are facing an issue with the update by reference characteristic of the field STPO-SANKA Cost relevancy indicator on the BOM.
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 release 700 on Oracle
Hot Package
- SAPKA70015 on ERP Cross Application componenent
- SAPKH60013 on SAP-APPL Logistics and accouting
We are using material variant
We are on the first level of configuration
Classically, we built a procedure to set X to this data base field as below :
$self.STPO_SANKA = 'X'
We assigned this procedure to the relevant items
Here is the result we have:
At the creation of the Plan Order, this is not working
At the creation of the Prod Order, this is not working
When we do a Reload PP master data, this is working very well
On CU50/VA02 when we check the trace, the procedure is executed.
Do somebody have an idea or already facing this and solve it ?
