I jus found a bug in Lumia 720. When ever i pause a song in the music player n i resume it later by clicking on the paused song icon title .. It directs me to home page of whatsapp ! .. How do i fix this ??? Also found Compatability issues with whatssapp on lumia720

hi
i bought lumia 720 few weeks ago, and because i can't download apps from the windows store directly (cuz i'm from syria), i have to download them to the laptop then move them to the SD card, and later open the .XAP files from the store app.
the problem is that THE STORE APP ISN'T WORKIING, it keeps saying "service unavailiable right now. Check back in a little while".
so now i can't download any thing on my lumia and this sucks

Hi, Adeptbe. Thanks for posting your concern on our community. Does the issue occur regardless of the connection you are using? Does the date and time of your phone are properly setup? Check it by going to Settings>date+time. Also, try checking if the Microsoft account on your phone is syncing properly. Current issues with my Nokia Lumia 1520

Hi all,
I just wanted to list the current issues that I am having with my Nokia Lumia 1520:
- Phone freezing and restarting on double tap
- Click on scroll
- 256 color when unlocking the phone (need to turn off the screen to resolve it)
Do you think I should send it for repair or do you all have those issues?

I did a hard reset many times, but it fix the other bugs than click on scroll.
I updated to GDR1 and it helps to have folders for the click on scroll issue.
Had only 1click on scroll so far...

Problems with ICQ Nokia Lumia 720

There's a problem with ICQ on Nokia Lumia 720. The fact is that being minimized (not closed) it loses connection, after maximizing it, you have to launch the program again. Who faced this problem, did ya find any decision?

Issue with whatsapp

I Have observed following two issues in using Whatsapp with Iphone:
1. Cant send multiple videos through Whatsapp.
2. When I send a long video (may be around 5-6 mins) through Whatsap it just sends only first 1-2 mins.
Now I believe this the issue with IOS or with my whatsapp setting as these 5-6 min long videos I have received through whatsapp only, I am just trying to
forward these to my friends, but I am surprised to know that the videos my friends receive are only 1-2 min long.
Do we have any solution on these two issues?

What is the exact error that you encounter whenever you try to download the said application? What connection are you using? Have you tried downloading this through the Whatsapp website?

IOS 8.0.2 issues with Whatsapp on iPhone 5c

I have an iPhone 5c. Upgraded from iOS 7.0.4 to iOS 8.0.2. After that Whatsapp stopped working. I can see all the groups, but if I click on any group it just takes me back to home screen. Network Status says connecting....

Issues Volume Keys of Lumia 720

Volume Keys of my Lumia 720 particularly down key is not responding within few days of use. It happened to my neighbor also.

My down volume key has not worked for weeks. I haven't used the camera button for a while either and just realized it doesn't work... sort of! So when I have the camera on and I press the camera button, the camera lens will refocus... but it doesn't snap the pic.
When I press the camera button and the camera app is not open, the button does nothing...unless! Unless I simultaneously press the down volume key! So the key does work!!! But it doesn't reduce the volume and it must be depressed at the same time as the camera button in order for the camera button to work. I tried using the volume down key instead of the camera button and it is still inoperative. So! The camera button will only work when I press the volume down key at the same time.The volume key still doesn't work.
Any thoughts?
p.s. don't tell me to press the volume down key and the power key at the same time to do a soft reset. I've tried that. The volume down key doesn't function properly and will not soft reset the phone. I've tried a hard reset and even updated to 8.1. None of that has worked. I bought the phone new on eBay via India. I'm a US user. The phone has no warranty.

Issues with Denim update; Lumia 822

Good Day,
I have installed the newly available Denim update for my Lumia 822. But not without some glitches. If anyone can help me out, I'd sure appreciate it!
Problems (by #):
1. The pictures/photos tile no longer works. It just bounces back to that part of the screen. It says on it: "@C:\Programs\Photos\PhotoRes.dll,-2002." It shows on it the Sample Pictures on the SIM Card. The built in camera did the same thing until one of the restarts. It's not my SD card, which has my photos/images on it - the music app sees the music fine.
What else I think is related to this particular problem: Under Settings/Applications/photos+camera, I cannot get into photos+camera; I cannot get into Settings/Storage Sense; under Settings/Backup, I cannot go into auto upload for photos+videos.
What I've done:
* Took out the battery.
* Took out the SD Card, rebooted the phone without it, then put it back in again. When I turned on the phone, it did not come up with the usual question about where to change photos/videos, etc.
* Deleted all pics off the SD card.
* Put a couple of pics back on the SD card.
* Took a pic with camera to see if that would make the photos tile work. Nope. Not even the new pic from the camera helped.
* When into camera's settings and asked it to "find photos and videos." Nope.
Nothing has changed. It's not working. How can I get this to work?
2. My glance screen does show the weather even though I asked it to through Bing Weather app. This is something I thought Denim was supposed to offer.
3. The wallpaper for the tiles screen - I don't see that setting anywhere, but it looks like Denim is supposed to have it.
4. The following app files in the apps list (not on the main screen) show up as blank, gray squares: Alarms; Calculator; Games (shows up twice, one as a gray box, one as the xbox symbol); Settings; Wallet. What's with this? Which "Games" do I choose and do I delete one?
5. All the individual games are showing up in my apps list, and are all still listed under my Games app. Weird.
6. Xbox Music app has changed for the worse; I ended up downloading and using another music app instead.
7. Xbox Games used to show my Avatar be-bopping around the live tile; now it doesn't. So much for spending THAT money. I know, it was stupid, but fun.

Thanks for the feedback confirming the trouble is solved.
Temporarily disabling the real-time scanning in the antivirus software speeds up the download, both of the recovery tool itself and the firmware files, at least on my Windows-7 PC with MS Security Essentials. - The files are clean, the download just slows to a crawl if the real-time scan is enabled.
As the Original Poster you may unmark a post as the solution, and then mark another as the solution if you wish.

Lumia 720 disadvantages

1 : There is no option to attach documents or music's while replying emails. Only pictures can be.
2: there is no option to transfer video files through Bluetooth.
3: ther is no option to use this phone as modem through data cable .
4: No file manager
5: No hard restart option if the device got hanged Let me analysis more and update you.
The main thing is theses options are there even Nokia Simbian OS. But Microsoft???????????

Jut updating another issue with my great Lumia 720, there was a problem i found in the back side from the begening and i ignored it. my lumia back cover was misplaced and the case placed slightly on the camera flash light. i was noticed it since dust are going inside through the tiny hole.
I am wondoring now when i found a scarch on it 3 days before. I am dam sure this problem ocured because of the miss configuration of the back panel. but who will trust me. if i go to the service center as usel they will start argue with me.
But my Lumia is just 3 month OLD ONE.. Like 1 year OLD.

Lumia 720 - Whatsapp. Installed but couldn't verif...

I just bought the nokia 720. All internet connection is up and running, I can browse, skype and read email (meaning internet setting and line stability is good) using 3G.
However, after downloading whatsapp and tried verifying for the 1st time. the first screen under Verification, an error message "Could not connect to WhatsApp. Please check network settings and try again later".
I called the service provider (DIGI Malaysia) and asked for help. However, with all the rest of the apps work, they couldn't help any further.
Whatsapp has no help either. May I know has anyone successfully using Whatsapp on Lumia 720?
I am beginning to feel I am getting a lemon and the old nightmares of setting those silly E series phones again.

Don't you think the issue is with the WhatsApp application itself as you manage to browse the web and you are able to use WeChat just fine?
Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the application?

but iam able to browse, use facebook, gmail, etc,... just the chat apps are not working.

Issues with Lumia 720 - please help

I got a lumia 720 2 weeks back. Its a wonderful device but below are some issues which I've encountered -
Skydrive doesnt work automatically. It used to earlier but now after I altered and reverted its settings, I've to manually upload to skydrive.
2. Uploading vidoes to skydrive/facebook gives "upload error" with "upload failed.tap to retry" message.
3. The speaker volume on calls doesnt seem sufficiently loud. I've to increase to 10 (out of 10) and it still feels just enough to hear claerly. Volume while playing songs is resonably loud though.
4. Cant find anything under 'find my phone' settings. Seems it doesnt work in India.
I'm using a wifi connection which is workign fine for all ither task except points 1 and 2. Please help!

No comments? May be I listed too many problems.
If anyone has inputs on the upload error/skydrive inconsistency please help.

I am using Lumia 720 Black, Everythings seems to be oky, but I cannot download apps from store, though I congfigured my Microsoft account. Nor I am able to download new software updates.

Lumia 720 Issues

Dear Nokia and Microsoft,
I have no idea why I always go for Nokia ever since I purchased a Nokia 2300 back when it was okay to have phones weighing 5 kgs. Since then I have shifted from 2300 to 2100 to N73 to 6303 classic to finally Lumia 720. Everyone was against me buying a Windows phone but I have always loved the interface and the amazing touch which is far better than any other phone. But, it's been only about 10 days and my Lumia 720 is already troubling me. The phone hangs a lot, which is okay with me as I am a user of Windows on my desktop too, but then it gets stuck in the middle of some tasks and its pretty irritating. It exits from applications on its own without showing any error message. The screen magnifies on its own and refuses to go back to normal even if i tap with double fingers (as in the case of ease of access menu) until I restart it, now I cant keep restarting the phone again and again for such petty things. The worst of all is the call hold button... I can put a call on hold but I cant unhold it, no matter how many times I touch the key, try locking unlocking but it doesnt work and I have to end the call everytime I put a call on hold. Now most of it sounds like the OS issue but also I have a problem with soft reset, the phone just doesn't go off even if I keep pressing the volume down and power button for 15 seconds or 50 seconds, it wont just restart until I leave the button and press the power button again. Now maybe that is how its supposed to work, but everyone else is saying that it's not how it usually works.
Please tell me what is the best option. I called up Nokia care and they tell me to "wait" for a software update. That is very convenient, right!

Software issues with lumia 1520 since wp8.1 update

I have Lumia 1520 which I bought in may 2014. Last month I have updated to wp8.1. Initially it was doing fine but since last 10-15 days I have been facing a series of issues with my mobile. I suspect 8.1 update to be the reason as I never faced a glitch
in my 3months of heavy usage on wp8.
below are the problems I have faced so far,
1) screen blacked out suddenly. No response whatsoever. It was working, I can receive calls and notifications but display does not work. Phone was continuously heating mean while. I visited the nearest,care center even they were clueless. Only thing they
did was to hardreset my phone.
2) volume automatically becomes 0. I try to change it someone value but the bar goes back to 0. Its like the volume is playing with me.annoying it was.
3) the touch does not work sometimes. Its sporadic lock and unlock,it works fine.
4) few minor issues.
these issues really annoy me. These might be some minor bug fixes please take these up and resolve. I have gone through many forums and writing this. So
many users facing similar issues. Thanks.
