- Alle Photoshop Produkte sind lokal, also kein CC.
Welches OS?
- Win 8.1

Hmmm... I got the DNG Converter and ACR from the page I listed.
If you go to the DNG page at http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ and click on Downloads (in the light gray box on the upper right) for Mac or Windows (I'll use the Windows example here because I'm on a PC right now, but it also worked from my Mac) you will go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3894 and then you have to click on Proceed to download and it should say filename DNG_Camera)Raw_4_4.zip and be 5.4 meg in size (If you follow the Macintosh link the filename is DNG_Camera_Raw_4_4.dmg and is 12.5MB).
However, if you go to the Camera Raw page at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html and click on the download links under the main gray box you will only get the Camera Raw file (filename is Camera_Raw_4_4.zip at 3.3MB or Camera_Raw_4_4.DMG at 7.8MB).
Both download places list the Product name as Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter. But the filenames are different and indicate which one you are downloading.

  • Camera Raw and DNG Converter for PSE10 and PS CS5.5

I recently bought a Nikon D5200.  I have Photoshop CS5.5 at home and PS Elements 10 at work.  I had to download a DNG coverter in order to open my RAW files (NEF).  I have 2 questions: 1) Which are the latest updates that will work with each of these programs (the listings on the Adobe Download pages are confusing) and 2) Do any of these updates allow a new NEF file to be opened directly without the extra step of DNG conversion?  Bit of a pain.

Latest DNG converter can be downloaded from following link:

    Aha, mystery solved!
Camera Raw 4.4 incorrectly modified the EXIF time date field of images that were saved as TIFF or JPEG files from the Camera Raw dialog. This has been corrected in Camera Raw 4.4.1
This explains why I never saw that bug: I save images from ACR as PSDs, never as TIFFs or much less JPEGs.
I guess PSD files were not affected.

  • Camera Raw reduces DNG file size

I have raw file(CR2) size at 13.6 mb straight out of my Canon 7D. When I convert them in Adobe dng converter 5.7 I get 21.7 mb. When opening in Photoshop CS3 with Camera Raw 4.4.1 I get image size as W:3888 pixels by H:2592 pixels. I dont understand at which point the file size reduction takes place, as its supposed to be larger than that providing it was 13.6mb original file size. ( There is no compression option in camera raw or dng converter).

There is a hyperlink at the bottom of the Camera Raw interface that allows you to change some of the settings.  One of the changes is to make the image smaller, the image that is sent to Photoshop.  Is it possible that you have a setting chosen that reduces the size?  Additionally, DNG files are usually a little smaller.  Are you embedding the raw file in your DNG file?  The DNG converter does not change the size of the image.  It simply takes the raw image data and puts it in a new container DNG file.

  • Camera RAW and DNG version 8.2

I have a Canon 70D.  How do I find out what version of camera raw and dng  that I have installed?

Unfortunately, photoshop elements 11 can only use up to camera raw 7.4 for the camera raw plugin.
(in the photoshop elements 11 editor; Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor>About Plug-In and click on the words Camera Raw to find the version you have)
(Help>Updates in the pse 11 editor to check for updates)
You can use the DNG converter 8.6 to convert your canon 70d files to dng copies, which pse 11 should then open.
If you have mac os x 10.6.8 snow leopard then you would need to use dng converter 8.3
    dng converter 8.6:
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 8.6
    dng converter 8.3:
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 8.3
How to use the dng converter:

You could also upgrade to photoshop elements 12 or look at adobe lightroom 5.6 to avoid using the dng converter

  • Download not found when trying to download Raw to DNG Converter

When I try to download the Raw to DNG Converter 8.3, it tells me that the details for the download cannot be found as the DNS is not pointing to the correct area. I have tries other versions of the converter and it gives the same error. Any ideas?

When I go into Home/Downloads/Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter and choose a DNG Converter to download, in this case 8.3, I get take to a page which states that This Webpage is not available.
The address of the page is http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dng/win/DNGConverter_8_3.exe
I have tried a few other DNG Converter versions and get the same thing.
It looks like a server is down or something.
Hope this helps in identifying the issue.

  • Camera raw and DNG files appear as generic icons

Camera raw and DNG files appear as generic icons instead of image previews (Bridge CS5)
    What can I do ?

    Hi Yammer.
First thanks a lot for taking your time to help me. I am really happy about it!
    I will try to answer:
    1)
I meant by having the Camera Raw.8bi placed in BOTH "C:\Programmer\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS5\Plug-Ins" and in C:\Programmer\Fælles filer\Adobe Plug-Ins\CS5\File Formats" the ACR will be found in two versions - or rather in two places (I know the former shouldn't be, but it solved my preview problem).
    2)
YES - I do have tried twice starting the Adobe Bridge holding down the Ctrl-key and ticking the two (the third was greyed out but ticked anyway) and with no help.
    3)
I have tried to do the *.8bi search you suggested, and this gives me the following dump - absolutely with a few more entries than yours. Some are like doubled.
Do you think I can just delete these?
    Kind regards, Jan

  • Significant reduction in file size from Camera Raw to DNG

    Hi,
I am currently testing the conversion of Leaf camera raw files into DNGs for a photographer's archive. I am hoping to convert all of the mos files to DNGs because Leaf Capture and the Leaf Raw Converter are not being updated and because the photographer wants to have an Adobe centered workflow. In my testing I discovered that converting mos files to DNGs through ACR 8.4 and LightRoom 5.4 resulted in a reduction of file size by nearly 50%. A 44.5MB mos file became a 23.6MB DNG. From what I've read only about 15-20% of the camera raw file should be lost and all of the data lost should be propietary.
Here-in lies my quesiton, is there any way that I can track or determine exactly what sort of compression is being done to the mos file and what information is or is not travelling in the conversion to DNG?
These are the settings I have used for converting raw files to DNGs:
    ACR:
    JPEG Preview: Medium Size
    Embed fast load data
    Don't use lossy compression
    Preserve pixel counts
    Don't embed original
    LIGHTROOM 5.4:
    Only Convert Raw files
    Delete originals after successful conversion
    File Extension DNG
Compatibility Camera Raw 7.1 and later
    Jpeg Preview Medium Size
    Embed Fast Load Data
    Thanks!

    50%? - I thought we were talking about 15-20%?
In my first post I questioned why I was seeing a reduction in file size of 50% when according to forums and articles I've read I should only be seing a 15-20% reduction in file size. I then wondered what data I might be losing, which you addressed.
Same as what? - what were the results.
I was referring to testing I preformed on camera raw files produced during different years (all mos). I converted all files with the same ACR and LR settings and found that the DNGs always reflected a 50% reduction in file size. This test suggests that any conversion issues is not necessarily related to how the camera raw files might have been differently built across years.
Adobe's raw data compression is touted by DNG zealots, but I haven't scrutinized it enough to corroborate or refute.., but my experience is that reduction is relatively marginal. All of this assumes original is also compressed - if uncompressed in original source, savings would be large.
The files I am dealing with are definitely uncompressed which could account for the large reduction in file size. I didn't realize until I posted to this thread that converting to a DNG results in a compression of the original image data. I understand that this compression is supposed to be lossless like a lossless compression to a tiff and thus result in no decrease in image quality or harm to the original image. I am baffled by how it is possible that any compression of a file (especially  by 50%) could not result in a loss of important data but I will accept that it is possible to have a truly lossless compression and that the size reduction I am seeing could be a result of all of the different processes a file undergoes that you have outlined.
I looked into the effects that backwards compatibility has on the conversion process which might interest you http://dpbestflow.org/DNG#backwards-compatibility
I also posted to luminous landscape's forums http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?topic=89101.new;topicseen#new
Although it wouldn't surprise me if the DNG conversion process tossed the xmp-like metadata, and kept the original stuff, but it would surprise me if it tossed the original stuff - but as I said before, I haven't scrutinized for completeness so I don't know.
I've done testing in which I converted .mos camera raw files with their sidecar xmps and without their sidecar xmps. My tests revealed that the DNG definitely carries over xmp metadata although it is not clear to me exactly how it is carried and if anything is lost.

  • Bridge: Metadaten (z.B Camera Raw und Exif) in der Bridge löschen

    Hallo!

No you can't, Bridge acts like a browser and reflects the contents of your disk. You can only use short cuts (start up scripts under menu Tools) to play actions for use through Batch in PS or the Image processor.
You could make a feature request for this on PhotoshopFamily.com, however many people need this information and having an easy way to loose it might not be convenient for them.
Those are merely copyright Metadata templates and only effects the fields you have assigned to them.
Try a third party solution like this:
