IStat doesn't show fan section

I wake up my lovely Imac MC813 today and noticed iStat doesn't show fan section at all (see screenshot):
So what happened? How I can fix this? Didn't find anything about this problem.

Click the "i" button on the top left. The option will appear, Click the "sections" tab at the top. At the bottom of the list set Fans "on". Click Done at the bottom.

Now, I was under the impression that Fan speed should be being displayed, along with other things. Am I missing a kernel module of some kind? I feel like it is an incorrect setup of mine. I can't find anything on the wiki page https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/lm_sensors or in the forums, but I feel like I'm missing something.
I do not want to add a dangerous kernel parameter but can't figure out what my motherboard is (or how to add the asus_atk0110 driver to my kernel configuration) from the suggestion here http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/FAQ/Chap … rnel2.6.31
EDIT: turns out the motherboard is W35xSTQ_370ST by SEAGATE. I don't however know how to use this knowledge to figure out if I should be loading any other kernel modules or what sensors are available, e.t.c.

Most likely your hardware doesn't provide more information. I've seen this mostly in laptops. This is from my Acer:

Server console doesn't show EJB section

Hi!
I tried to deploy EJB example (statelessSession.Trader) for WebLogic Server 5.1
(sp8) on NT 4. Server said that the ejb deployed, but I don't see ejb section
in the server console. There is only "console subsystem" in console screen. When
I run a client for the statelessSession.Trader I get a notion "Exception in thread
"main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/naming/NamingException". What is
wrong?

Better to make sure the EJB is deployed. You can run "java weblogic.Admin

Pages Table of Contents - doesn't show in sections menu - any ideas?

Watched the video and it looks simple but when I go to Sections it does not give me the option of choosing Table of Contents. Anyone know if there's something I'm doing wrong?

Click at the beginning of your document > Menu > Insert > Table of Content
It only works in a Word Processing document and you select which of the applied Styles you have used in the document. eg Heading 1, Heading 2

IBook doesn't show up in the Textbook section

Hi Folks,
I recently had my iTextbook approved through the iBookStore (Physics: Fundamentals and Problem Solving), but noticed that it doesn't show up under the Textbook --> Science and Nature section, even when I choose "See All." Does anyone know how to get this moved to the correct section? Thanks much!

So I've been waiting 10 days now for my iBooks Author textbook to appear. The upload went fine, but as of today, nothing appears on title search.
I've noticed some folks mentioning they were approved through the iBookstore. Does that approval come in an emai? I see no status indicators in iTunes Connect to check on progress of releasing the title.

I bought an audiobook and it downloaded to my ipad but not my Gen4 itouch, it doesn't show an audiobook section under purchases, how do I do this?

I am really upset.
I really love my itouch but anything beyond using it as a daytimer, camera and note keeper is shear torture.

I search for a solution to a problem, such as, "How do I download an audiobook" - I get a web page of all the things that itouch can do, but no instructions on how to do them.

Have you checked to see whether it's in the Music app (iTunes on the iPad it just the store, it doesn't contain your downloaded and synced content) ? When you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library.

I have the same problem with podcast playlists. When I go to the music window in my iPhone devices section, the playlists I have created on my macbook pro in iTunes do not appear as an option to sync with the iPhone. I know some web radios streams, like the BBC, won't transfer because of compatibility issues, but the playlists of podcasts that I have created consist entirely of podcasts downloaded from the podcasts section on the iTunes Music Store. They used to show up and sync properly before I upgraded to OS 5.1.1, but now they don't.
Does anyone have a fix and am I right in surmising that the cause is a glitch in OS 5.1.1?

Movie purchased on iTunes doesn't show up on Apple TV. Any ideas why?

I just paid to rent a movie from iTunes on my Macbook. Switched on AppleTV to sit and watch it, and it doesn't show up in my Purchased area in movies.
Tried turning "home sharing" off, then back on again to reset it.
Tried logging out of my account, into my wife's, then back to mine hoping that would 'refresh' it.
Still nothing.
Am I doing something wrong.
P.S. The reason I didn't rent it thru AppleTV is that it was trying to charge it to my credit card, yet I have credit in my iTunes account and want to use that instead (hence why I did it thru iTunes on my macbook instead)

You rented the movie, you didn't purchase it.
Assuming you have now let it fully download to your computer, look under the computers section on the Apple TV.

I use Firefox to access the internet-but when I go off the internet but don't shut down, then go back on Firefox it won't open because "it is already running". Task Manager doesn't show that it is operating so I can't shut it off. What to do?

It is in the question but to repeat.
1. When I go online I use Mozilla Firefox
2. While I am doing other work, I usually close the internet.
3. If I go back on the internet and click on Mozilla it won't come up, stating that "it is already running".
4. Despite that, when I open Task Manager, it doesn't show that it is running so I can't shut it down or open it.
5. If I log off or shut off the computer, then after I log in or reboot the computer, I can open Mozilla.

Music is on the shuffle but doesn't show in iTunes

Okay. I've never had this problem before; I've got a 160GB iPod video and an old pink mini, both of which work fine with my computer(s) and iTunes.
My problem is the shuffle. I got the 2GB one brand new, straight from Apple. I keep all of my music on an external drive. When I first hooked up the shuffle along with the external drive it had a major freak out and one would disconnect the other one every time I tried to use both at once. So I googled, read that sometimes you can't have other things plugged in at the same time as the shuffle. Ended up hooking both to a USB hub and they worked perfectly together.
Plugged the shuffle back in today and there was no music listed on the shuffle in iTunes, however, it said that I had used up however many megabytes, with 71 songs on the shuffle. (You know the little bar down at the bottom?) Ejected it, hit play, and the music is all there. Reconnected, added one song, and it wiped out everything on the shuffle. So I readded everything I had on there, ejected, made sure I didn't have any playback problems, reconnected, and now the same thing is happening again. The bar shows that I've used the space but doesn't list any of my music. I haven't tried to add any more songs because I don't want to go through readding all of that stuff again right now.
So, any thoughts? I disabled automatic syncing for all of my iPods, and I don't use the autofill option. I've only used one of my computers to add music so far, and haven't had any problems adding purchased content.
Any help would be greeeatly appreciated. And if anyone is in need of a visual for what I'm talking about, screen caps are here:

Per the article above, you don't start with changing the drive letter of your iPod. You start by changing the drive letter of your networked volume (usually, an external drive).

Enterprise Manager Console doesn' t show the correct data

we use a oracle 10gR1 rac with two nodes.
we use the oracle enterprise manager console but it does not work all parts of.
And the console is wrong with some parts of the data shows.
for example ;
in the home page, Performans Analysis section shows the date two months earlier. Why ?
(Period Start Time 25.Ara.2010 21:00:59 Period Duration (minutes) 60,02)
other example ;
in the performans tab, host section does not show any data.
why doesn't work this section?
what can i do?

Hm... could be that your machine is low on RAM for java apps (yours and OEM Console). (You can check resource consumption via perfmon)

My ipad doesn't show on itunes and i have windows 7

so , when i plug my ipad into my computer it doesn't show on iTUNES .. but it charges instead

Acrobat 9 typewriter text doesn't show

Acrobat 7 made me a big fan of the typewriter feature. Now that I've upgraded to Acrobat 9, I'm having problems with it. Suppose I add some typewriter text to a .pdf and save it. When I reopen the file, the typewriter text doesn't show. My text is there, but I can't see it. If I click my mouse in an area where I typed, the text comes up. I can double click it and edit it as usual. Then if I click elsewhere, the text I was looking at before disappears. So I can only look at one text entry at a time. The typed text does come out on hard copies.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
In case it matters, I'm running Acrobat Standard 9.0.0 under XP Pro SP3 on an HP Notebook with 4GB of RAM.
