IsThereAnyWay: To use F1-Fwhatever to insert notes?
I have a major timing repair needed on a song I composed way back when using MOTU Freestyle. After dragging my old midi file into Garageband I decided to use a different instrument which will require different durations on many, many notes. The timing on the original melody was also way off (I didn't know as much about timing then, etc). Fixing it all requires more than a fix time button to click. I have to do it all note by note by note.
I've been cutting/pasting, dragging/dropping (& etc) repairing this song into something worth listening to. I've been using the same tedious process that I used on a few other songs since becoming GB-obsessed. But it seems to me it would be so much easier to use the F1-whatever keys on the computer to insert the notes I want...rather than using the little piano thingy. Am I wishing too much for something?
Another thing, what does GB3 have that GB2 doesn't? Can it colorize notes (would be helpful when pasting in to not overlay notes over the other. Would be easier to tell which belongs and which is sour). Can it export to MIDI file? Will it be able to repair the first song that I ever composed and didn't know to export it to a midi file when I had the capability to do so? It's a timing & velocity nightmare. Again, am I wishing too much?
thanks..I've been doing that too. I'm very resourceful when it comes to streamling my tasks. It's just that it's still tedious. Going from one to the other, note by note is a redundant job.
i figure that we have all those F-function keys...it would be nice to be able to customize them to make them useful for editing tasks.
I don't play so good. Creating the melody is spontaneous...but way too flawed to my ears (and any others who would listen to it, I easily presume). I create my piece by editing it...a lot. And since I can't read sheet music notation, I am forced by Fate and ineptitude to work my melody with the grid timeline only. So, after using GB2 this past year I've realized that I'd like a few more tools to make my music projects move along at a reasonable pace. I want to be able to colorize the notes. I would like to be able to customize the function keys to insert whatever notes I want into the timeline. I want all that I do to export out to a MIDI file. It would be SO much easier to present my little songs on my little webpage with a little MIDI file rather than a .mov file or an .mp3 We all know how long it takes to download a song from a wepage. Unless we really, REALLY want to hear it we just pass. It's too tediously timeconsuming to wait, and that's sad because there is much out there well worth listening to.
I fell asleep on the futon last night so I'm feeling a bit frustrated with a few things. Like HTML source code that isn't multi-browser friendly and such.
I'm going to go plod through my song for another pass through. It still doesn't sound right to me.

Isn't there a "draw note" function in this software? my old Motu Freestyle could "draw" any note.

Let me explain clearly
I have to generate daily attendance for lot of employees So i have two table t1 and t2
T1 consist of three column empno,date,time
T2 consist of empno,name,date,intime,outtime,intrin,introut
So now i need to give the T1 Min value Of time to T2 Intime and T1 Max value of Time to T2 Outtime fields so there so many records while i am using
max(time) it gives the max value of all so i seperated by group function so now i have an error in subquery ie it is an single row subquery so i need to use multiple row subquery how i can use multiple row subquery in update statement

thnxNo - the Word files do not need to be saved in any other format if you have Pages on your iPad. There are other apps that provide better compatibility than Pages but it will work for you. You have to have DropBox on your PC and the free DropBox app on the iPad to use DropBox to transfer files.
To send the file using DropBox - make sure DropBox is running on your computer. Then place the file in one of the folders that you have set in your DropBox folder on your PC. Launch DropBox on your iPad and find the folder that you placed the file into and tap on that folder. Find the document and tap on it. It will open in the window on the right. Tap the arrow icon in the upper right corner and select Open in Pages.
If you have pdf files in iBooks that you want to put into Pages you have to email them to yourself and use the Open In feature when you open the email. You cannot send a file from iBooks other than to email it - at least I am not aware of any other way. -

The following insert statement uses a sequence to create an arbitrary number for each null record. The problem is, the sequence is firing regardless of the condition being true or false (but it is working in that it only inserts values when the condition is true). The result is the sequence appears to increment each time it loops through the cursor and so the first arbitrary number to be inserted is not 1001 but some other higher number.

Using Crystal 2008 to insert records into a table
Hi,
We have a unique need to use Crystal to insert records into a table. We have managed to test a report that can write into a temporary table. This is done by using sql command object and uses the following code :
INSERT INTO TEMP_TABLE (ORDERID)
VALUES ({?orderid}) (-- where orderid a parameter).
This test report asks for an order id and then inserts the record perfectly fine.
Now moving on to the real report - This report basically prints orders in batches and we want to insert order id into a temporary table to ensure we don't print orders that were already printed. To do this we created a sub report "insert orders" that has the above insert command. The main report passes the orderid to subreport and the idea is that the subreport would insert each time an order is passed. So if main report printed 50 orders ids, the then it would do 50 inserts individually into the temp table.
This however is NOT working. The report runs fine but there is no insert. Our hunch is that Crystal is not committing after every order id is passed from the main report. Not sure if we can set the AUTO COMMIT ON as a default somewhere?
Wondering if any one has attempted this or has any insights?

Environment is - Crystal 2008 and Oracle 11GR2, we are using Oracle drivers (and not odbc)Hmmm... I don't use Oracle but the syntax looks good...
You've already tested it and I assume that you are using the same driver in the production report as you used in the test, so that shouldn't be an issue...
how are you pulling the data? Is the final SELECT statement that pulls the report data in the same command as the INSERT script, or is the INSERT script in it's own command?
The reason I ask... If you are trying to pass a multi-valued parameter to a command, it won't work. If you have the insert command as it's own command while the data is being pulled with linked tables or a separate command, it is possible that the report itself will execute as expected w/o passing a value to the insert script.
If it's all in 1 command (as it should be), a bad parameter would fail in the final SELECT causing an error.
Also... are rows null or empty string values being added to table when the report executes? This would be an indication that the command is being executed but isn't getting the parameter value.

Using SQL Loader to insert data based on conditionally statements
I would like to use sql loader to insert records from a single text file into an Oracle database table. Sounds easy but the problem is that I need to check the existence of data in another table (Table A) before data can be loaded into Table B.
Table A has two columns: dept_no (primary key value) and dept_name (char)
Table B has five columns: emp_no (primary key value), dept_no (foreign key value to Table A), employee (char), job_title (char) and salary (number)
Text File looks like this:
Finance Jones President 10000
HR Smith Admin 2000
HelpDesk Jenkins Technician 3000
Problem:
1. I need sql loader to insert records into Table B by first checking if the first field in the file is in Table A.
2. If value exists get it's dept_no value.
3. If value doesn't exist discard record ( I might want to have sql loader insert a new record for this into Table A)
4. Using value from #2, insert the value in Table B for dept_no column.
5. Also assign a sequence value for the emp_no value in Table B.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure this is possible with SQL loader. I would rather use an external table based on your file.
Then, I would use SQL to load your data into your table, based on your conditions.
Your request is not very complicated, writing the SQL to do that will be really more simple than trying to do it with SQL loader.

G4, 400Mhz, OS X, (10.4.6) Disk insertion not readable messsage.
I've installed an internal secondary hard drive, 120GB, Barracuda 7200 RPM to my G4 which contains a 10GB hard drive as master drive. I'm trying to install a second hard drive as a slave but I keep getting a Disk insertion not readable message. The computer recognizes the new HD but won't initailize. I tried swapping jumper location but to no avail. I'm at my wits end, please help.
That is an older G4... and Disk Utility launches, you try to use the Erase or Partition and it fails?
Master should be on the end of the IDE chain, as well as jumpered as master or even "master with slave."
Try booting from Tiger DVD with just the 120 GB drive, and set as master or master only. See if you can do it that way. Or just boot from DVD first and see if it will let you. Sometimes works.
Also, you could try setting both drives to Cable Select and see.
10GB was/is small and slow, you should see a real nice boost. If you want to add more drives, consider SATA and then you can use larger and faster drives. -

have you deployed the JDBC driver for your DB2 database in your XI system........if not, then ask your basis guys to find the weblog to deploy the JDBC driver in XI system and then deploy your DB2 database driver in your JDBC driver in XI system............
then again execute your scenario.

Create your playlist in iTunes, making sure it will fit on a CD (time and size of playlist shown at bottom of window).
I think as you're in Lion, it'll be iTunes 10? If so I believe the burn option is now in one of the menus - probably 'file', but it shouldn't take much finding).
Selecting Burn should give you a dialogue some thing like this;
(This is iTunes 9, so it may not be exactly the same).
Choose Audio CD and set the gap if reqd.
Click burn, then insert the CD when prompted in the top of the iTunes window. -
i have just dowloaded the icloud control panel on my PC and i am am able to see everything that has been pushed to icloud from my ipad. However i cannot see my email. i can send from the computer using icloud, but i do not see any mail that is being received by my ipad, which is set up with my mail server. What haven't i checked lol?
turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen. -

The 5.0 is partially as a security update in place of 4.0.2.
