IStore - OM/WSH Integration 11.5.10.2

Can anyone tell me if iStore only tracks orders/shipments placed in iStore or is there a way of tracking all orders whether placed in iStore or OM.
I'm looking for web based functionality (that we can use via our website) that will allow our customers to check inventory availability, and track orders/shipments placed in OM only (we are currently not interested in online order entry functionality at this time)
Any feedback would be appreciated
Kind regards
Tracy

Based on my understanding, your requirement is to track
- Sales order ( placed from OM)
- Item availablility in Inventory
Both can be achieved by calling the respective seeded API by wrapping around with a custom API.
Any technical consultant with knowledge on OM , INV API would be able to do this.
Thanks

  • Does Oracle iStore 11i support integration with any analytics tool ?

    Hi
We are planning to implement analytics with Oracle iStore 11i . However it seems like there is an integration possible with Oracle web analytics in R12. and there seems no such facility in 11i. Or is there one?
Also is there there any means available in Oracle iStore 11i to integrate with external Analytics tools like Google Analytics.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards
    Srinivas

    Hello Srinivas,
iStore introduces integration with Web Analytics in Release 12. There is no integration in Release 11i.
We have no documented way for integration with the Google Analytics.
Note that iStore allows users the flexibility to modify the jsp's to meet your business needs. Therefore, you could modifiy to enable tracking by Google Analytics.
We do not have any seeded integration.
Please advise on any additional questions.

  • Call to Sabrix from iStore

One of our client has an outside developer we are working with to make a call to Sabrix from iStore. I am hoping this is a simple question. If it is not, please let me know so we can figure out the hours involved. Here is the question.
    ==
The idea was to simply integrate some java code within the existing iStore application at the right trigger points so that it would be able to call Sabrix for sales tax. We came up with a sample java program based on client’s business/tax requirements and Sabrix’s Java API and was hoping to use that to either update the JSP pages or the backend java classes associated with them to pass all the relevant data over to Sabrix.
This is the process that I followed and here is what I found so far:
The JSP pages, which are the front-end of the iStore do not have any programming. They use java classes/beans to get the relevant information to build pages and display the contents (like taxes) on them.
I was hoping to have the source code for the Java Beans that the JSP pages use but instead I found out that Oracle only provides you the “.class” (compiled/binary) files. Which leads me to believe that they are not supposed to be modified. But I was able to decompile quite a lot of them to try to see if I can find a place where the tax related logic is. I decompiled a lot of class files under: Oracle\apps\ ibe\ folder and various subfolders like quote, shoppingcart, etc. But I did not find any real logic for tax calculations within them. They were merely reading database tables and populating other java beans with information that the JSP pages in turn use.
Within these classes I found certain references to stored procedures and so I requested access to the stored procedures related to the “ibe” area of Oracle. After digging through a lot of the .pls files (eg: IBEVSHCB.pls, IBEVQOPB.ps, etc) it seemed like we just got references to more stored procedures like: ASO_QUOTE_PUB and ASO_QUOTE_Headers_ Pvt1, etc. We were able to review ASO_QUOTE_PUB and it seemed like it was pointing to some even more stored procedures. We have not had a chance to investigate this further after that.
Is there any poiter to get the answer?
Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter

Not sure of your version of apps, but assuming that it is 11i. Based in this http://www.sabrix.com/enterprise/integration/oracle-ebusiness.php I understand that there is an direct integration available with ebusiness suite for OM and AR.
As another reply said, aso_tax_int called from the istore to calculate tax (pretty much what happens in OM happens here). You do not have to call sabrix from iStore if the integration is available in the database.
Once you have sabrix installed in Oracle (the way vertex or taxware are installed), you will find that their pl/sql code available in database which is called from the tax engine of oracle arp_process_tax. arp_process_tax is called for all the sales tax needs from different applications.
Usually for the vertex and taxware a profile option is there to dtermine whether vendor tax engine is installed. I guess for the sabrix as well there will be one or profile value might include Sabrix as the vendor. Based on that information tax engine will take value from the sabrix code which is called from arp_process_tax.
So first get the info from the Sabrix as how it is integrated with Oracle Ebusiness suite. My guess is you do not have to anything in JSP pages to calculate tax using Sabrix engine.
    Thanks

  • Automatic workflow notice of shipment - Oracle iStore

    Hi All,
We have to implemented Automatic workflow notice of shipment in existing Oracle iStroe (11i) set up.
Could you please let me know which seeded workflow we have to use.
    Thanks,
    Tarun Dadhich

    Hello Tarun Dadhich,
iStore does not have a shipments notification event. This would be handled by Shipping. See: Shipping Execution Workflows and Oracle
    Workflow User's Guide.
For iStore you can modify the messages for notifications -
The Oracle Workflow item type iStore Alerts Workflow (IBEALERT), in the data store file IBENOTIF.wft, contains all Oracle iStore notifications and their messages and
    attributes.
Oracle iStore does not allow customization of notification events. Customers can only customize the notification messages -- steps in the iStore documention -
Oracle® iStore Implementation and Administration Guide Release 11i (Part No. B13549-01)
34.4 Customizing Oracle iStore-Oracle Workflow Integration
You can choose to use only the seeded messages for Oracle iStore notifications. If
you want to create additional messages -- see steps starting on page 34-14

  • R12 iStore integration with third party content management system

We are facing several challenges and are already a month behind for Go-Live with the iStore implementation. Hence, I wanted to check if anyone has worked on a similar setup
    1. iStore being used only for cart functionality
    2. All content, web pages are on a thrid party site
    3. iStore's deep linking is being used for cart updates
    4. We have a dmz environment and reverse proxy setup
    5. Payments is integrated
We are finding several application errors, there is a loss during the back & forth communication between iStore & third party site. Could somebody please advise if there can be a better setup or if they have implemented a similar network topology.
    Thanks.

    Hi All,
We are also facing same issues(Application Errors) and our setups include third party website linking, DMZ configurations and Reverse Proxy setups. Unable to know the root cause for these application errors as it was intermittent.
    Please help me on this.

  • Integrating India localization taxes and iStore module

    Hi Gurus,
We are implementing iStore module in R12. We already have Oracle financials for india setups implemented.
We would like to select the tax category in iStore UI and apply the taxes before booking the order. Is this kind of feature available ? Or any other work aroud solutions , please ?
    regards
    Sam

    Hi,
I've figured out what was wrong.
For some wierd reasons the some of the Triggers relating to India Localisation were disabled.
Once Enabled , the problem was solved.
Only then, the Supplier TDS info in Additional Info window (at site level) was populating.
    Thanks

We are trying to configure Paymentech with R12 Payments, however it is not working.
Getting the following error. Default payment system is not configured correctly. (IBY_25001)
    Any thoughts please?
Has anyone else implemented R12 Payments and Paymentech? Any setup documentation will be extremely helpful to refer to.

Thanks for the quick Response Hussein
Does that doc applies to iStore also? I have downloaded the version suggested in the document id (Jdev 10.1.3.3.0), but when i try to run after configuring all the istore code, i got the following error.

    Hi,
Does the Webcenter content management integrate with 11i iStore module?
Can anyone point me to some documents explaining the same?
    Regards

    Hi Ravinder ,
Use the following url to get configdefault.xml file :
    http://hostname:<port no>/<httpwebrelativeroot>/idcplg?IdcService=SES_CRAWLER_DOWNLOAD_CONFIG&source=<name of source for SES>
Save the file to a local location and then move it to the SES Feed location .
Then do the crawling for Contents from UCM , then schedule run from SES and the UCM contents will be searchable from SES end .

  • Need help on Modifying Jsp Code to establish relationships in iStore.

I am currently working on iStore an internet enabled product
    from Oracle.
In iStore one can establish relationships between products like
cross sell , complimentary, substitute, conflict etc. However at
the moment only one relationship works i.e: Related. This is
because this is a bug in iStore. Only the relationship Related
is defined in the jsp. We have been asked to modify the jsp
    ibeCCtdItemDetail.jsp
Please find pasted below the jsp which only had the arrays for
related i.e: relitems and service i.e service have added the
array complimentary to establish such a relationship and pasted
the relitems code once again and changed relitems to
complimentary. I am stuck up on this since the past 2 weeks i
would appreciate if anybody could help.

  • Customer bank account detail in istore.

In istore ,one customer is place order a item using the same credit card number (EX:visa .XXXXXXXXXXX4444) .After the place order ,in customer bank account screen having the credit card information and customer account name.
Again same customer is place order the item using the exiting credit card number. (EX:visa .XXXXXXXXXXX4444) . So what was the out put in customer bank account screen. in this process credit card number is updated in exiting credit card or creates a new credit card account in customer bank account screen.

  • OAM 11g integration with Demantra, VCP and APCC

I have a requirement here to implement SSO between the following applications using the OAM 11.1.1.5
    1.     Oracle e-Business Suite 12.1.3 (iSupplier, iReceivables and iStore)
    2.     VCP ( Value Chain Planning )
    3.     Demantra
    4.     APCC ( Advanced Planning Command Center )
I am following the below url for configuring the OAM with Oracle e-Business Suite to implement SSO.
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&doctype=BULLETIN&id=1309013.1
And VCP, demantra and APCC applications have been deployed independently on it’s own application servers on three different hosts.
I am trying to figure it out the SSO implementation approach for these 3 applications. I would like to know whether Oracle has got any out of box SSO implementation techniques for these applications as EBS. I would appreciate if someone shares oracle document links related to this integration.
I am seeking experts suggestion on this to proceed further.

    David,
Your Principal name should be the SSO LB URL.(ie :sso.mycomany.com)
ktpass -princ HTTP/sso.mycomany.com@DOMAIN -pass XXXXXXX mapuser DOMAIN\user -out oam.keytab.
Also make sure sso.mycomany.com has a reverse DNS configured correctly.
you can check using dig command
    ping sso.mycomany.com
    What ever the ip-address
    dig -x <IP-ADDRESS>
Check in the reverse DNS section there should be 1 record.
    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    1.1.1.1.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR sso.mycomany.com.
Let me know if you have more questions.
    Thanks
    Saurabh

currently we are using istore on external tier of Application server and we are looking for how wecan integrate credit card processing with external server based pages.do we need to do any addtional deployment for external tier apart from creating custom Payment System, Payment System Account and Payee and calling payment gateway via custom built servlet call in ipayments.

    Hi,
thanks for your reply. We dnt have cybersource configured for other modules.Do we need to contact cybersource for related deployment information?Any prerequisite setups needs to be done in EBS for this integration?
