Isub to av receiver

I need a powered subwoofer for a new av receiver and noticed our old isub with its usb connection. is there any kind of adapter that someone knows of that might allow me to get the isub connected to the rca port on the receiver?

Speakers that connect via USB accept packets of digitized audio data over the USB Bus. Internal circuitry decodes that digital data, converts it to analog for multiple speakers, amplifies it, and pumps it out to the attached speakers.
This is not just a matter of a connector mis-match. USB speakers cannot be converted to RCA jacks.

I'm not sure if this is still a issue for anyone but here it is.
Please note: that I've only tried this on a PPC running OSX 10.5.7 and "NOT" an Intel. AND Backup before you try this.
The procedure is as outlined on, "Paul Tung's" post, back on May 17, 2006.

2) Install Onyx and Pacifist programs
3) Go to: Macintosh HD (Your HD) -> System -> Library -> Extensions AND "Trash" the following file -> AppleUSBAudio.kext
and enter your admin password when prompted.
4) Open the downloaded Update. Start Pacifist, read or click OK on "First Launch Quick Start" window.
Click Open Package and then select the MacOSXUpdateCombo10.5.3.pkg (under DEVICES in Sidebar menu).
5) Once loaded, go to: System -> Library -> Extensions -> AND single click: AppleUSBAudio.kext.
6) Click the Install Button - Top left. It will ask you to install, and click install. (Make sure Allow Admin Privileges is selected).
7) Once done, quit Pacifist and start Onyx. This process will clear the "older" AppleUSBAudio.kext is out of the system.
8) In Onyx, go to Cleaning and make sure System and Kernel Caches is selected. Also, select Core Files and Temporary files too.
9) Once done, restart the computer, and go to the sound control panel and set your iSub.

OS X 10.6 Snow Leoprd & ISUB
Summary:
The Harman Kardon iSub is not always working on Intel Macs without the use of other USB audio hardware. It is NOT working on the latest Intel Quad MAC PRO but is on a Dual G5 under OS X 10.5.8.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in iSub into any USB port.
2. Check Apple System Profiler. Device is correctly listed in Apple System Profiler, but does not work, and does not have separate volume control in the SOUND Control Panel.
Expected Results:
Expected iSub to work in conjunction with internal speakers, external USB speakers, or with external non-USB speakers, as it should.
Actual Results:
Device is listed in Apple System Profiler, but does not work, and does not have separate volume control
Regression:
This bug does not occur on PowerPC based Macs, just on Intel based Macs. Tested on a Power MAC dual g5 under OS X v10.5.8, Power Mac G4 400 Sawtooth, Power Mac G4 867, Power Mac G5 Dual 2GHz, Intel Mac Mini 1.5GHz Core Solo, Intel iMac 20" 2.0GHz Core Duo, Intel MacBook Pro 17" 2.16GHz Core Duo, Mac Pro Quad 3GHz under OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Workaround not working in Snow Leopard:
Attach another USB audio device (sound card, USB headset) and select that for sound output. The iSub and it's volume control will magically appear in the sound control panel. Once you select Internal Speakers or another non-USB output, the iSub and it's volume control will disappear, and will cease outputting audio.
Initially, for bug # 4590777, Apple had listed it as a 'duplicate' bug, so there was some hope of having this fixed. As 10.4.4 was the initial OS X build that shipped on the first set of Intel Macs, maybe 10.4.5 would remedy this. Then the updates kept coming. And still, it wasn't working.
Once 10.4.9 was released, I tried the iSub again on all my Intel Macs. Again, no dice. So I sent in another bug report for Apple to fix. I was hoping this would be fixed prior to Leopard's launch. To my dismay, I received the following email from Apple.

This has been an issue for quite some time. As an owner of a few Intel based Macs, I'm disappointed that Apple has decided to discontinue support for their quickly emerging platform. It sort of goes against the statement from Apple that "Everything just works." Funny how the iSub does work in Windows Vista, however.
Please post this for the other iSub owners who might as well know this now instead of waiting even longer.

Here the setup, done with a pair of klipsches, an iMic and the iSub. First plug your iMic into your USB port on your Tower or USB Hub, Then plug your speakers in to speaker icon side of the iMic then plug in your iMic into another USB port or your USB hub. Check your Sound Preferences and you will have both of the Klispches and the iSub working!

Adding another usb device only gives you the option on an intel mac to use your internal speaker on your tower and an isub. The isub issue is not fixed as of OS X 10.6 and the workaround does not seem to work either. Bob.

ISub doesn't work on Intel iMac either :-(

It's the only device issue I have, but from 10.4.4 and now in 10.4.5 it receives power (the green light is lit), but emitts no sound, and is not recognized in System Preferences, Sound.
I'd like to have my iSub back.

I have found a way to make our iSub work again on Intel Macs.
But this can't be done using only the iSub with the internal speakers or the computer's audio line out port.
If you use the iSub together with an external USB soundcard, and select the USB soundcard as the sound output, then the iSub volume control will show up and our lovely iSub will come alive again with the USB sound device attached.
low freq. sound will come out from the iSub and high freq. sounds will come out from the USB sound card's line output.
so you'll need the following:
1) USB sound output device (eg. iMic)
2) a pair of speaker connected to the USB sound output device's line out.
this is what I use:

ISub: Noise from wireless Microsoft Intellimouse..

Hi,
I have the iMac G4 USB 2.0 20-inch model, w/Apple Pro speakers. Yesterday, I received an iSub I ordered on eBay.
The iSub worked great, except when I was "doodling" with the cursor a crackling noise would come through the iSub. The noise went away when I uninstalled the Intellimouse drivers, disconnected the Intellimouse, and connected the beautiful but limited Apple one-button mouse that came with the computer.
Am I doomed to using the Apple mouse to avoid this issue? Anyone here with similar problems with iSub, iMac, and Intellimouse?

Found the problem.
The USB connection at the USB extension cable wasn't seated. Pushed it in, taped it up, and I'm good to go.
As we used to say in radio operations: Operator error - short between the headsets.

Possible iSub Solution!

I think I figured out how to get the iSub working properly again in Mac OS 10.4.6. Before, I had problems like the iSub dropping out and not working consistently. After applying the fix, I haven't had the problems occuring yet. Try at your own risk though.
Here is what I did:
1) Download the following files:
a) Mac OS 10.3.8 Combo Update

b) Onyx

2) Install Onyx and Pacifist programs
3) Go to: Macintosh HD (Your HD) -> System -> Library -> Extensions AND make a copy of the following file to your desktop -> AppleOnboardAudio.kext
4) Once AppleOnboardAudio.kext is copied to your desktop, drag it to the trash and enter your admin password
5) Once Mac OS X Combo Update is downloaded, open Pacifist. Click Open Package and then select the MacOSXUpdateCombo10.3.8.pkg (Inside the downloaded Image)
6) Once loaded, go to: System -> Library -> Extensions -> AND select: AppleOnboardAudio.kext
7) Click on AppleOnboardAudio.kext once to select it and then click the Install Button above. It will ask you to install, and click install. (Make sure Allow Admin Privileges is selected)
8) Once done, close Pacifist and open Onyx. This process will clear out the system cache to make sure the "older" AppleOnboardAudio.kext is out of the system.
9) In Onyx, go to Cleaning and make sure System and Kernel Caches is selected. Also, select Core Files and Temporary files too.
10) Once done, restart the computer, and go to the sound control panel and set your settings.
That is it, so far, it has worked perfectly for me!

As FYI: this is a deep hack. You should be aware that:
1. It may break other audio features in Mac OS X 10.4.
2. It may be undone by future Mac OS X Updates.
3. If future Mac OS X Updates are partial updates of the kext, applying updates may fail, or the resulting .kext may cause kernel panics.
Before you install future Mac OS X updates with this hack applied, I suggest you consider the advice in my "Installing Software Updates" FAQ.

FileName in the AS2 receiver?

Hi Guys,
we are sending a file to the partner with the AS2 and we want to maintain the same file name as the sender. I dont see any adapter specific attributes in the AS2 adapter.
How can i maintain the same file in the AS2 receiver adapter. any help or suggestions would be appreciated

IDoc not received in MII

I am facing problem with iDoc Listner we have configured iDoc Listner properly in SAP ERP, SAP NW and in SAP MII.

Hi Manoj,
Once you have configured your Listener have you checked pressing the update button and i dont want to ask you which version of NW SP you have installed as you said it was working for you with Build 83, but nevertheless NW SP Level should not be not less than SP3.
If this doesn't help you,please try restarting your server again.
How about the credential editor have you configured this as well?

Invoices are not getting displayed in the process receivables for a cust.

I have a situation here in prod environment the worklist is displaying the customer and his outstanding balances/all the data when we select that customer and go for process receivables then i cant find any invoices/documents under the invoices tab.
But we have the open invoices in AR for that particular customer, I am wondering how the invoices will get deleted
Can some one help me in this issue..

Based on the requirement , check whether the customer contact has been done carried out for the invoice , then possibility it must have gone out of the worklist , chekc whether the Invoice posted in the AR has been transferred to FSCM collection .

Receiving null and [Receiving text] SMS

Then I receive a second SMS only containing null

Haven't been able to receive any email today

Is the network having trouble today? I haven't been able to receive any email on my iPhone today at all. It just says "checking mail" with the spinning wheel. I can access the internet, phone, and voicemail functions, but no mail. I have regular mac mail (no gmail or yahoo) so I can get my mail on my mac laptop, but not on my phone. Was working fine yesterday...any clues anybody? I did the big update last week and it has been working fine till today...

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

Jabber for iPhone and iPad cannot receive calls

We currently have Call Manager 9.1.1 and Presence 9.1.1.
I am starting to use the Jabber Client for iPhone and iPad, but am having trouble receiving calls dialed to a particular extension.
If I can go settings for the iPhone Jabber client as an example, I am succesffuly connected to all accounts: IM, Phone Services, Voicemail, and WebEx.
When I go to the keypad, I can succesffuly dial internal extensions and make outbound calls to any numbers and they come accross as using my extension.
When calling the extension, my desk phone rings, but not the Jabber client.
Not sure what could be causing this issue to occur for Jabber not receiving the calls.

Should still work. But would be good to check indial into jabber with the phone unplugged, just for testing purposes.
also, you have checked the partition and configuration on the TAB device is the same as on the deskphone?
Can you attach call manager traces when making a test call and attach to the case. Let us know the extension and device names you have used in the test, and a timestamp of the test.

Download Itunes from Apple.com, not from within Itunes.
Redo the install, following the below procedure. However, when you re-install Itunes, right click and run the install as administrator. For Win 7, you have to hold down the cntrl and shift keys when you right click and then "run as administrator" will be an option.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Vista, Win 7 & later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I am trying to import developed images from LightRoom 5 Photoshop 6 for further editing. I am receiving this message and the images will not open.....'Could not open scratch file because the file is locked, or you do not have necessary access permissions or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file. How do I fix this? I would greatly appreciate it if you would respond with terms and procedures that a computer ignorant user, such as me, will understand. Thanks.
