Hi Gurus
I have a client requirement to implement i-Supplier module,OID/SSO on 11i EBS
Can any one please help me to implement this process. This is very urgent.
I have posted this in OA framework discussion, but haven't got any response.

11i EBS XML Publisher Report with Multiple Data Source

I need to create XML Publisher report in 11i EBS pulling data from another 10.7 EBS Instance as well as 11i EBS in single report.
I am not allowed to create extract or use db links.
My problem is how to create Data Source Connection using Java Concurrent Program.
The approach I am trying is
1. create Java concurrent program to establish connection to 10.7 instance.
2. Will write the SQL queries in Data Tempalete with 2 Data Source 1 for 11i EBS and 2 for 10.7 EBS
3. Template will show the data from both query in 1 report..
Is there any other way to proceed using datasource API...

option1:
The query should be same @ detail level, only the template has to be different for summary and details.
@runtime, user can choose to see the detail/summary
Disadvantage, if the data is huge,
advantage , only one report.
option2:
create two separate reports summary and details
and create diff data and diff layout and keep it as different report
Advantage, query will perform based on the user run report, summary/detail, so that you can write efficient query.
Dis advantage , two reports query/template to be maintained.

EBS 12.1.3 Security - Provision the complete group in OID as responsibilities in EBS

I need some help on EBS related security. • Running EBS - 12.1.3, OID, OAM, DIP provisioning profile • Have a BI tool which adds user responsibilities in OID groups. • Users are added as members to group in OID. • Right now only the user names in OID are provisioned to EBS. • Is there a way to provision the complete group in OID as responsibilities in EBS? • Does EBS 12.1.3 Security architecture allow this ? Any kind of documents related to this would be helpful. Thanks

Our hosting provider has now setup "pdf2ps" on AIX level. It works correctly with "root" user. But with "applmgr" user, it gives the following error:
Does "<10.1.2 OH>/jdk/jre/bin/libjpeg.a" exist?
Do you have "libjpeg.so.62" package installed?
Can you compare the PATH settings for both root and applmgr user and see if there is a difference?

Multiple Infrastructure servers with Single OID/SSO Server

I am trying to migrate an application from OAS/8.1.6 to 9iAS. We have multiple OAS instances clustered using Microsoft NLB and the remote database is also on a Microsoft cluster. We intend to use Single Sign On for authentication of clients (application is in remote 9i Database accessed via a PLSQL DAD)
Have successfully implemented this on a single machine - installed 9iAS Infrastructure and now web clients can go to url http://server.com/myapp and are redirected to the single sign on pages before running the /myapp application via the PLSQL DAD.
However, I am having problems trying to scale this via installing further infrastructure instances which utilise the first OID/SSO server above. This appears to be a supported configuration and during install I am prompted for the location of the OID/SSO server - the first server is located correctly and installation works fine.
However, mod_osso doesn't seem to be configured when the subsequent servers are installed. I've followed the procedures described in the Oracle Note 217155.1 "HOW TO avoid the redirection to the SSO-Server" to configure the new servers as partner applications to the original server. A PLSQL Dad has also been configured on these servers and tested without mod_osso in the way.
Accessing the /myapp application via any of the new servers results in redirection to single sign on pages with the text "Error: Invalid value specified. (WWC-41409)" being displayed on the login page so there's obviously a configuration error.
Has anybody else been through the exercise of creating a distributed enterprise level infrastructure installation of 9iAS and would be willing to share any lessons learnt? Or does anyone know how to solve the WWC-41409 error?

If you haven't finished configuring your server configuration already you might want to do a search on Metalink using the key word "ptlasst.bat". You can create and wire multiple repositories using this utility.

1.We have Oracle 11i EBS Software running on 32 bit architecture.If we do customization in it will it be ported easily on a 64 bit architecture.If not what changes will be required to make this migration successfull.

The EBS Applications tier is 32 bit no matter what your OS is. On Solaris 64-bit, there is a special edelivery.oracle.com version of 11.5.10.2 that ships with a 64-bit RDBMS directly via rapidwiz.

Otherwise, you need to complete a word conversion of the database to 64-bit if you want to make use of 64-bit memory addressing.

Good news is I have set up the java workflow mailer and every thing is working fine we are able to recieve email alerts to our email boxes as well as to blackberry device.
But one last issue still remains. When the approval notification email comes to blackberry device, and when the approver tries to approve the request by pressing the approve link, the message box is completely empty and the requester doesn't get any message in the email but the request gets approved. Is there any setting that I have missed

Win7 certification for 11i EBS - *Problems with JInitiator*

Gurus,
I've been trying to certify our 11i EBS on Win7. Web-based Jdeveloper pages load just fine. When trying to open OA Oracle Forms, the browser attempts to download JInitiator and then hangs. I have not successfully been able to install Jinitiator on Win7.
I opend up an Oracle TAR (SR) with the following response provided below. Has anyone had any success with JInitiator on Win7. If our users have to manually download JRE, this could become a huge headache.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott,
If you dont want to install jinitiator or JRE manually and they are not getting downloaded on cleint machine ,what you can dop is If your clients are on domain network then you can deploy JRE in domain group policy and JRE will get installed automatically(through group policy) when the Client machines reboots.

The note doesn't make any explicit statement about this.The certification matrix for Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) and Windows XP/Vista can be found in (Note: 285218.1 - Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i). So, there should be no issues if you meet the minimum requirements in this document.

11i EBS cloning using 10gRAC and ASM

I have 2 node RAC cluster using ASM running 11i EBS on Linux Platform. Need to clone the environment. Have reviewed the current cloning doc Note:230672.1. Even in advance configs it doesn't talk about cloning DB tier when you have ASM in the pic. Has anyone tackled this before? IF so appreciate any leads.

Unfortunately you hide your database version,that's not so good,because sometimes changes happen. Documentation has examples,how to duplicate from ASM to ASM, this is for 10gR2:

11gR1 has even enhancements, which don't require to set parameters in the auxiliary database init file.
