ISW 6.0 SP1 - problem
Hello,
We encounter a problem with ISW 6.0 SP1.
Synchronization (create / delete users and change attributes) is bidirectional.
ISW detects changes from "active directory" and pushes them to "Directory Server" but not otherwise.
Since the event log, it does not detect a change from "Directory Server" though the plugin is installed and enabled: pswsync
Do you have an idea?
Regards,
F
I have managed to work this out by copying the new configuration
dn: cn=config,cn=pswsync,cn=plugins,cn=config
from master's dse.ldif to the consumers I wanted to configure the plugin.
I also enabled the plugin in dn: cn=pswsync,cn=plugins,cn=config

ISW 6.0 SP1 Installation Failure
I have installed an Oracle Directory Server Version 11.1.1.3.0 (Sun-Directory-Server/11.1.1.3.0 B2010.0630.2203) and try to install the Identity Synchronization for Windows (isw 6.0 sp1). As host system I use a Solaris 10 Update 8 on SPARC resource.
According to the install log-file (/var/sadm/install/logs/Iden....log) the Installation failed by the configuration from the "Sun Java System Administration Server":
Sun Java System Administration Server has been installed successfully

Configuration Directory Server Administrator : Could not connect to ldap:
//s0007:389 with the administrator identity and password specified.Strangely enough, I could not enter a password in the console wizard step for the configuration of the Sun Java System Administration Server.
So, I have tried to install this manually. I started the "Sun Java System Administration Server" configuration - step by "/usr/sbin/mpsadmserver configure". This console wizard ask me neither for password and it failed too.
After some trial and error, I found a solution by passing the password with all other configuration data in a file by the parameter "-f” to the configuration wizard:
{code}/usr/sbin/mpsadmserver configure -f /home/admin/mpsInstall.ins{code}
With this "hack" I could passing the password-parameter to the configuration wizard (and he accept it). If I add a wrong password or other wrong configuration inputs, the wizard notice and signal me that.
But know, the installation stops with following log-file output:

What do I wrong. Have any ideas?
Thank you for any reply. Are you sure to use a 1.6 Java environment. If not, do it since you may have unwanted side effects like display problems
or keyboard input problems.
So please uninstall and retry if you don't have a 1.6 java JRE.
Then, if you still meet the same error, check your configuration directory. It should be started, so if you don't see any access
(from the installation wizard) in the configuration directory access logs, it probably means that either your config. DS was not
started when the wizard ran, or the wizard doesn't connect to the right host/port. May be the system can not resolve your
config. DS hostname (s0007) for example.
If you see something in the (config. DS) access logs, please post it .
If you're not sure about which is your config. DS, then you can identify it by its suffix (or at least one of them), which must be
o=netscaperoot . So, just grep all your dse.ldif files for each DS instance you may have. One of them, (and only one !) should
have that suffix defined.
I hope this helps. -
DS XI3.2 SP1 - Problem when starting RFC server from management console
Hi,
We're using DataServices XI 3.2 SP1 FP1 on a windows 2008 server 64bits to load SAP BW. We have set up an external system in SAP BW called "DI_SOURCE" and then successfully created a RFC server interface (DI_SOURCE) within the management console.
When we try to start this RFC server from the management console, we immediately get the following error message : "An internal error occurred in: server.start()::rfc_bad_connection".
On the other hand, when we follow the "old method" (pre SP2) and start the RFC server from a command window, it works : we have "CONNECTION DI_SOURCE OK" in SAP BW.
Any ideas how to solve this ?
Thanks,
OlivierHi,
We have tried your suggestions above.
Instead of just crashing we now get an error from designer (before closing down). Seems as if our librfc32.dll has a problem.
We have verified that the librfc32.dll from the Data Services package is the only one on the server.

I've looked at other answers to this problem but they seem to relate to multi server environments or new migrations - neither apply here. The Exchange 2013 server was implemented last year as a migration from Exchange 2007. It has been running well since.
I upgraded to SP1 on Sunday night and since then all users, regardless of Outlook version, are continually being asked to "the microsoft exchange administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart outlook". Clicking OK loads Outlook
normally (no restart). I can delete the Outlook profile and set up a new profile OK but the issue comes back again. Deleting the users roaming or local profile does not help either.
The CAS seems to be set correctly - when I run Get-MailboxDatabase | fl RpcClientAccessserver it returns the correct server.
There are no public folders set up.Thanks for the update. It was the PF that caused the issue.
When I removed the old Exchange 2010 server it did not remove everything for AD. Had to manually remove the older sever. -
How I Solved My XP SP1 Problem
You'll never guess in a million years so I'll tell you:-
I have a K7D-420 motherboard & a Lian-Li PC6089 case. The case has front-mounted USB ports that attach to the USB header on the motherboard via 9 individual pins (as opposed to a single 9-pin plug).
As the labelling on the pins differs slightly from what is on the motherboard, I'd matched them up wrong - I knew this already as the ports weren't working.
I'd left them attached (whilst running XP) as I hadn't experienced any problems. However, applying SP1 which, I believe, contains USB updates, totally kills my system! So, the solution was to detach the front USB ports - as simple as that.
On a side note, if anyone has the same motherboard & case & knows which pin goes where to get the ports working, I'd appreciate the help. This is difficult to explain but I will try.I have a 415, but the layout should be the same. you should have 2, 9 or 10 pin usb headers right above the floppy ribbon port. say they look like this ::::: , top right is 1, bottom right is 2, top left is 9 and bottom left is 10 (you can fill the rest in). using this number scheme, here's the layout: pins 1,3,5,7 are 1 usb, pins 2,4,6,8 are 2nd usb (pins 9 and 10 are not used). pin1=VCC, pin 3=data+, pin5=data-, pin 7=ground. exact same thing on the bottom row. next you need to map your case's usb header connections(to motherboard) to the actual contacts inside the usb plug-in end. Looking from the front (of the plug-in end) with the contacts facing down, from left to right: VCC / Data- / Data + / Ground. So all you have to do is make sure the connections go from the correct contact to the correct pin on the motherboard header. ie: the left contact goes to pin1, next goes to pin 5, third goes to pin 3, fourth (right) goes to pin 7 (this is with the contacts facing down again)

I had the exact same problem as the original poster. I followed the
following directions that you outlined in another post:
To copy the necessary webflow resources:
i) Look at the definition of portlet3 in the EBCC you will see that it
requires access to a webflow called portlet3.wf. This file needs to be
datasynced to your new application.
ii) Locate the file portlet3.wf in the directory
applications/portal-project/application-sync/webapps/stockportal.
iii) Copy this file to the sibling directory
applications/portal-project/application-sync/webapps/myportal.
iv) Perform a data-sync.
First of all, the destination directory did not exist, so I created it. I
copied the portlet3.wf file to that directory, and performed a data-syncby
going the Tools|Synchronize in the EBCC. I still got the same error. I
then copied all of the files from stockportal to myportal, and syncedagain.
It still didn't work.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Sean

Jay,
If you are still experiencing this problem, please check that all the
webflow files specified in portlet3.portlet are available in the webAppyou
are deploying to. It looks like the portlet cannot find one of thewebflows
specified.

Vista SP1 problem on Satellite A210
Hello,
I just installed the Vista SP1 and since that my notebook doesn't reboot or shut down properly. If I choose "shutdown" the shutdown-screen appears, but the notebook does not shut down. Then the monitor turns black and that's it.
Did enyone encounter the same problem after installing SP1? I deinstalled the SP1 and since that everything works fine again.
By the way, I can't download any driver updates for my Satellite A210 since this evening. When I choose the options in the menu and klick search the website says: no drivers found!
AlpaponeI agree with you in the fact, that testing takes its time. Most of the drivers for my A210 are from around summer 2007.
I don't know when the Vista SP1 testing phase started, but I think Toshiba had plenty of time to adjust drivers, as many other manufacturers did.
So why not Toshiba?
I got the SP1 via Windows Update and thought that everything would be fine.
Yes, I know, the "early adopters" ;-)!
So the SP1 was installed...and...the problems occurred!
So I went on the Toshiba website - no information (as they did with the bandwidth problems in the drivers download section in January and February).
In the drivers section: no drivers. How comes, that a companies don't support SP1 and its nowhere announced?
I don't care, if Toshiba updates the drivers once in ten years, as long as everything works fine. -
Hi,
I downloaded CE711 SP1 IDE from SAP site. I am facing following problems.
1) Source / Implementation tab is missing from Web Dynpro Perpesctive. I create an dummy action accessed source code. But
2) Code completion feature is missing in this version.
I have couple of question regarding above problems :
1) Does anyone else facing this issues ? Can they be rectified ?
2) Do we have any work aroud ?
2) If these are bugs present in EC711 SP1 IDE. How we can inform SAP team about this ?
Regards,
ShrikantHi,
In CE, when you double click on your view name in the webdynpro explorer, by default the view editor will open. You can see layout, context, plugs, actions, methods and properties tabs here.
If you want to look at the source code or implementation, right click on your view name, select Open --> Java editor. Or Open "View editor and Java Editor" both if you want.
Similarly for component controller, you should right click -> open controller editor for context, methods, events and properties tabs...or you may want to open the Java editor for source code...
Also, AFAIK, the code completion feature is very much there.. would suggest you to confirm again prior to reporting.

I tried installing SP1 for Vista twice. Both times it failed during the last step.
Anyone else having bad luck with SP1?
SeaSteveIf you have not already go to start , all programs, ThinkVantage, and then System Update and download the latest version of R and R which is Vista SP1 Compliant.

4th Gen iPod and WinXP SP1 Problem
I could not find the answer for this on the support page, and sorry in advanced if it has been asked before. I've had my 4th gen click wheel iPod since last November and it has always been wroking fine for me, until today, when I decided it was time to update the firmware. I decided to do a restore to clean off all the songs before starting (since I have them all on my HD anyway). But when restoring it with the updater, it just went for about 10 seconds, and then said it could not continue. I tried it again and still the same thing. Now i am getting the folder with the exclamation mark icon. The updater restore keeps failing and I don't know what to do
I was having the same problem with facetime just now and found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHBlxlSnlAQ
It says to reset the DNS to 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4
The comma is not a typo. As soon as I did this, my facetime started working. I had previously tried resetting the DNS to just 8.8.4.4, but that did not work.
I have not tried to use imessage so I don't know if it fixed anything with that. -
Hi,all
I'm using ISW to synchronize the users from AD to DS, the version of ISW is 04Q3 SP1(my DS version is 5.2p4).
And I found this problem:
One user, it's password in DS is "pwd1", and it's pwssword in AD is "pwd1" too, so the user was synchronized.
Then, I changed it's password in AD to "pwd2", the strange result was that I can login DS with either "pwd1" or "pwd2" for the first time!!!!!
And if I logined DS with "pwd1" for the first time, the user's pawssword in DS would still be "pwd1", as a result the user's password wouldn't be the same between DS and AD.
If I logined DS with "pwd2" for the first time, the user's password in DS would be "pwd2", so the user's password would be the same between DS and AD.
I have tried this for several times.
Does anybody else come up against the problem? Or I have had something wrong?
Thanks!
ShenHello, Vincent
Thanks for your advice.
I have tried the steps again, when I modify the password in AD, the logs as follows:

Then I find that the user in DS have an attribute "dspswvalidate" and it's value is "true". And I login the DS with the user's old password, and I'm successfull!!! The logs in the audit.log as follows:
[25/Sep/2009:14:14:55.110 +0800] INFO 46 CNN100 idstar3 "DS Plugin (SUBC100): on-demand validation has been successfully completed for 'uid=hzshen,ou=teacher,dc=wiscom,dc=com,dc=cn' by authenticating the user against ldap://exchange.wiscom.com.cn:389"
So, the user's password in DS is different from the password in AD, and I find that the "dspswvalidate" attribute of the user in DS has been disappeared.
By the way, when I login the DS after I changed the password in AD with the new password, I'm also successfull, and the log is almost the same!
Thanks!

My ISW 6.0 Installation Fails
Hello,
I originally resurrected a long-dead forum thread from 2007 and attempted to hijack it away for my own question, but a kind forum moderator split it away to become a new question of its own (including reformatting the log excerpt for better readability).
I am trying to install ISW 6.0 sp1 on a Solaris machine with dsee7 already on it.
The installation fails at the very end with the following message:
"Installer cannot upload some entries in the template files. Check the installer's log file for further details."
Upon checking the logs at /var/sadm/install/logs, I see the following towards the end of log file:
LDAP Error: cn=AccountLockoutParam,ou=Templates,ou=GlobalConfig,ou=1.1,ou=IdentitySynchronization,ou=Services,o=isp: class violation
Expected to find 61 LDAP entries after uploading, but instead found 60
The installer could not upload some of the entries in the template files. Please check the installer's log file for further details.Any help would be greatly appreciated.I suspect a schema problem in your directory, which prevents it from being updated to store the ISW config.
Do you see any error in the directory error log file ? -
Outlook 2010 SP1 - mailto link fails when forwarding an email to someone?
This works fine in OWA so it is a client Outlook 2010 SP1 problem. To recreate it perform the following:
1. Email yourself from an EXTERNAL email address
2. Within Outlook forward that email to another person in your environment internally (your external email address shows in the body of the email as mailto:
[email protected])
3. When the person receives the email get them to click on the mailto:
[email protected] link in the body. Outlook will not put the email address in the TO field as expected, but will put the whole link in - ie the TO box will show [mailto:[email protected]].
If you click send it fails as this isnt a proper email address. It will auto resolve eventually in Outlook if you have the external email address as a contact, so remove any cached entries for your external email address before performing the test
4. If you do the same using OWA it works OK
Is this a bug that has been fixed? The same problem is listed on Experts Exchange here:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Groupware/Outlook/Q_27546150.htmlHi,
Outlook treat Word as default mail editor. You can try the hotfix mentioned by SoulForJ.
Best regards,
Rex Zhang

CR2008 will not start after SP1 was downloaded and installed
Just wanted to post this message about CR2008. I didn't find a "installation problem" forum, so I'll post this here.
I have just begun using CR2008. New install worked fine. After a couple of days, I downloaded and ran SP1 for 2008. No problem with the SP1 installation process.
But when I attempted to start CR2008 after the SP1 install, I received a cryptic error message about not being able to start this or that DLL, etc.
I rebooted, etc, to no avail.
So, today I've uninstall CR2008 and I am going to only reinstall CR2008 without the SP1.
I looked for problem issues on the forums, but did not find much.
So I guess the SP1 problem that I experienced is very rare...? I'd appreciate any links or advice on this.
Thanks very much,
DaveThanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I have uninstalled CR2008 -- everything -- and I cannot reinstall the basic CR2008 package. It keeps giving me a series of errors and finally the installation is aborted.
Don't know what I''m doing wrong. I have sent a request for help to customer service...

Loss of sharpness in transition from camera raw to photoshop
i noticed that when i open a picture in camera raw the tree branches have smooth borders and look real. When i then open the picture on photoshop, the branches then look much more jagged instead of smooth borders. is there some way to avoid this? It
