In looking thru the manual the 9300 supports 2GB MMC cards, but it does not mention what standard it supports, such as speed. The FAQ on the web Site only mentions that it supports the NOkia 128MB, and 512 Card.
In looking at information on these cards the MMC4.0 specification is mentioned, also a 200X speed standard. Will the 9300 work with these cards?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It works with MMC, MMC Plus, rsMMC, rsDvMMC. Speed, the faster, the better. Size... at least 1Gb, because on Nokia 9500, the 2Gb card doesn´t work.

  • Tesco Mobile and the Nokia Belle update

    Hey,
Is anyone else waiting for the Tesco Mobile Nokia Belle update for the Nokia N8? Or is it just me?
    Product code: 059C951
I remember them being pretty much last to release Symbian Anna and pr 1.1.
    Nothing changes it seems.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

For those of you waiting for the Tesco update, have you tried visiting an NCC to get a generic version put on? I know with the Anna update I got mine done early coz I couldn't be bothered to wait for Tesco to release their version. As for the overall response to Belle, I've chosen to give it a miss. Unless FP1 really sorts a lot of Belles issues out.

  • Mercedes SAP V2 Cradle And The Nokia N96

    Dear All,
I appreciate this topic is discussed quite a lot but I've never really had a good answer!
I have attached the above mentioned cradle to my brand new 2008 SLK 280 (COMAND APS) but am failing to get it to work with my phone.
I have a Nokia N96 - I appreciate that this phone isn't listed on the "Compatible With" list, however, it is very similar to the N95 which I hear does work with the system.
I have followed the instructions that came with the cradle but cannot get it to INITIATE PAIRING with my phone.
I have the latest firmware available for the phone.
It almost works - the symptoms are thus: when I press the star button on the cradle for three seconds, it begins to flash rapidly and the COMAND system acknowledges that the cradle is connected. The word BLUETOOTH with a full signal strength appear in the top right of the screen. At this point I hear a single beep which I think is telling me about the two new text messages in the SMS store which have magically appeared. One is From "SEARCH" and one is from "random 16 digit pairing code" and is TO the Bluetooth name of my phone. When I look in the Dialled Calls list (as the instructions bid me) it is empty. This is so frustrating!
Has anyone successfully PAIRED the N96?
Has anyone successfully PAIRED the N95?
Can anyone puhlease help me, or at least offer an explanation as to what's going on. I shall be very upset if the N96 is incompatible! Oh, I'm quite tech savvy and have researched this topic heavaily, so yes, all the Bluetooth settings on my phone are on and correct. My guess is that it's either a) not going to work or b) some odd setting on the phone is messing things up. I tried the suggestion about downgrading the PC Synch server version by the way and it didn't help!
Thanks for any information at all,
    WIndy

Woohoo - I've done it! Although now I feel a little silly!
For anyone who's interested, I went into the SMS message store on COMAND, selected the text message that was from "random 16 digit pairing code" selected it using the "ok" button then, in options, selected "Call Sender" which prompted my phone to accept the Bluetooth call from the cradle. Once I did this, the phone asked for the 16 digit pairing code. I then got the hallowed ascending tone from the cradle and my phone switched to saying "Remote SIM Mode" where the service providers name would be. Excellent!

  • ISync and the Nokia 6500s

Father Christmas has just given me a shiny new Nokia 6500s, trouble is it isn't compatible with iSync. I have tried a couple of of the previous suggestions in the forums, this one http://www.novamedia.de/epages/e_produkte_mac_isyncplugins.html does not support the 6500s as it states. Any advice gratefully received, otherwise I will have to spend the next two weeks uploading my 500 contacts.

    Hi,
i own a 6500 slide too and so i am interested in a free isync-6500s-solution too.
There are plugins available. Go to http://www.mactomster.de/isync/
and you can buy them for round about 10€.
On http://www.disappearhere.com/?p=163 you will find a free isync plugin. The author says, that it isnt working anymore (due to updates of OSX or whatever). Please tell me, if you get it working.
Good luck an happy new year, gum911.

  • Isync and the nokia 3109 classic

    Greetings,
I would very much like to synchronise my nokia 3109 classis with
    ical
    adress book
    itunes
unfortunately is does not seem to be supported by iSync.
does anybody know a work around, or, when support is to be expected?
I would be very happy with your input.
    Wilfrido

    Hi,
you can either buy a very functional plug-in from nova media (http://www.novamedia.de/epages/e_produkte_mac_isyncplugins.html) or you can download for free a fully functional iSync plugin from http://www.james-lloyd.com/scripts/nokia-series-40-isync-plugin/.
I also have a 3109 and both solutions work flawlessly.
    Cheers,

  • Isync 2.2 and Nokia 9300

Is there anybody working with the Nokia 9300 and the new isync-update? any experiences? After updating and reinstalling the patches, i cannot add my phones to isync my 9300 is added as unknown devices and my SE T630 is seen but i cannot add it.

I had the very same problem with my 9300 and iSync, but after a while of tinkering, I managed to fix it.
The problem was in the patch that I had originally pasted into my MetaClasses.plist file. All that needed to be done was to change the following line:
    <string>com.nokia.serie60v2.0</string>
    into
    <string>family.com.nokia.serie60v2.0</string>
After this, I restarted iSync and was prompted to send the new iSync application to my phone (v1.2). After this was installed, I ran the synchronisation and it worked. It should be noted that the first time was quite slow as it had to synchronise everything again.

  • Who can solve iSync problem with Nokia N95? (I use the Nokia plug already)

    Hello
Since I bought my new cool Mac:, I sync my N95 with iSync and the Nokia N95 plug-in. Thinking at first that is works flawlessly (as other members here seem to think as well) I later found out, that if I make changes to any calendar or "to do" description! on either the N95 or the Mac it syncs, but only up until a certain number of characters. If I exceed this number, the description on the phone will simply be cut off - in the iCal it still fully appears though.
Rather surprising, since when syncing with a PC via the Nokia PC suite there is no such an issue. All my often lengthy descriptions are fully put on the phone. And if I sync back there are no problems either. So I guess it has to do with the iSync protocol or this Nokia N95 iSync plug-in? Any ideas, solutions...? Any help greatly appreciated!

The flex cable is damaged. Some years back when I had a Nokia N95 8GB the flex cable was damaged and for a few days the screen was showing strange colours at the display and eventually the screen became black. I went to a local repair shop and I replaced the flex cable and what I noticed was that the flex cable that it had no proximity sensor on it so I told the technician to remove the proximity sensor on the original one and replace it with the new flex cable. Another thing I discovered was that after fitting the flex cable and returning the cover the front camera was not in its usual position so the technician had to do some modifications to get it back to its normal position and after a few months it was damaged and this time I went to Nokia Care Centre and replaced the flex cable for a small fee and what I noticed was that the flex cable that I previously bought was a fake cable. The one bought from Nokia Care Centre had its proximity sensor and when the cover was returned the camera was in its exact position the same as it was with the original flex cable. What I wanted to say is that please beware of fake flex cables on the market and I suggest that you buy it from an authorised Nokia Dealer.

  • Where is the Nokia CR-106 Cradle?

I bought my Nokia E71 nearly 3 months ago and the Nokia web site said the CR-106 cradle was available for it. I have nor been able to find one on sale anywhere, everybody just has it as a pre-order item.
Come on Nokia, how much does it take to mould a bit of plastic?

  • Opera Mini on NOKIA 9300

    Hi,
    I need some help.
I've tried to install Opera Mini on my NOKIA 9300 but it doesn't work. It does'nt finish the intial tests
    I've WAP.TIM connection.
Coul'd anybody give me some tips regarding the configuration of the NOKIA 9300 for using Opera MIni?
    Tankyou in advance

opera mini is the best thing that happened to mobile browsing. if you got java & gprs you gotta have opera mini. i personally prefer the older opera mini3 to the newer opera mini4. opera mini4 is kinda **bleep**py imo. incorporating the yahoo search engine instead of the google search engine was a big mistake, yahoo! search sucks.

  • Is web browsing a great experience in the Nokia C3...

    Hello there!
Me and my family are looking for a phone that excels in music, gaming, and messaging and costs around 6,000 Php or 120 Euro as a graduation present from my twelve year old sister Carla. The device we buy her shall be her very first cell phone. She prefers hardware keys over tiny touch screens, so our choices narrowed down to the Nokia C3 and the Nokia C5. Although the latter seems great in terms of smartphone features, the former's Wi-Fi support is what makes choosing between the two difficult. WLAN is the only means of internet connection we have in the house, and there are several hotspots in our country. Carla frequently visits Facebook so a Wi-Fi-able phone seems like the better choice; however, Carla dislikes the C3's QWERTY bar design, cheap camera, and limited S40 applications support, and she is uninterested in using the internet in a small display. Overall, she prefers the Nokia C5. We have only experienced the web on a laptop and a desktop computer, so the internet on a mobile phone is an alien environment to us. Is the C3's Wi-Fi support enough to make us choose it over the C5? Please advise us!
    Thank you very much!

C3 got many, i mean MANY WiFi problems and other similar problems. I would suggest to check other brands maybe, because check this forum how many problems people with C3 do have, and You will find out, that this is not phone for girl, especially the first one. Nokia E63 (or E72) would be much better, and looks very similar (but use different, stable, less problematic, better OS). If You do not want her to cry because wifi do not work again, and apps stop workin, check different phones
Don't say you want to help - just do it! Happy user of Nokias: 6150 SAT (still work), 6021 (used as backup, still work), 5220 XpressMusic (Drown, screaming for Contact Service), C3-00 (my current phone).

  • The Nokia 301 is ALMOST perfect

Ok I've been using Nokias for a long long time. I started using Symbian, but after a while, new non-touch screen symbian phones became scarce and out dated. I reverted to S40 and I got the C2-01 after owning a bunch of Nokias and an Android. Loved the C2-01, except there was no volume rocker.
Nokia, if you are listening, PUT A VOLUME ROCKER ON THESE PHONES!!! Now I am in the market for a new phone, and the Nokia 301 seemed like a gift from the heavens as it was almost everything I was looking for. My biggest gripe....NO VOLUME ROCKER!!! Please Nokia PUT A VOLUME ROCKER ON THESE PHONES!!! Other than that I can't complain.
Maybe for the future, the Nokia 310 could have an autofocus camera, maybe with flash. And if Nokia is feeling extra generous, Wifi and NFC would be awesome. But definately ADD A VOLUME ROCKER!!!

Hi! Thank you for these. Most of your suggestions require a new hardware though. For your feedback or ideas, feel free to post them here: https://ideasproject.com/.
    Cheers.

  • Nokia 9300 and Isync of notes field

I just purchsed this phone, hasn't arrived yet, but would like to know if when syncing with a mac, the notes field is also synced. I have a lot of info in my notes field on my mac and it's important that this be transferred to my 9300 when it arrives. After a year and a half with a T-mobile wing windows mobile pro phone that deleted all my contacts whenever I tried to do a sync I am really looking forward to a new operating system and this phone which seems to have a beautiful form factor. So if the notes field from mac contacs I will be really pleased.

    HI Kimberly
I got my 9300 to work with iSync on 10.4.7
Here is how... If you go to http://www.novamedia.de/sync/index.html
You can buy the plugins to make iSync work with your 9300. Yes I know, I wish it was also free, but 9 euro isn't that much. So I bought the plugins and gave it a try. And it worked, I can now sync my 9300 with my mac using iSync. It uses the syncML protocol and therefore does not need to install any applications on your 9300 as it uses the build in syncing tool on the phone.
There is a small bug though that when you sync all day events to your phone or your mac they appear as an event that starts at 00:00 and continues to 23:59 on the same day. In iCal you can then just drag this to the top section of iCal so it looks like an all day event is supposed to (not much effort), on your 9300 it just appears as another appointment so it isn't that bad. (I suppose)
When I spoke to the developers at Nova Media about this, to see if they could perhaps fix it, this is the response I got:
"SyncML is a standard. As long as this standard is not extended and then implemented by Apple, Nokia etc. it can't be changed. Choose now, what you want to live with for the next 1-2 years."
    Hope this helps.
