My motorola A 1000 phone cannot hook up to my Powerbook G4 ... tried several times ....
I checked the iSync supported phone list ... Motorola A 1000 is not supported ...
I would really like to use this with my Powerbook ....I tried bluetooth it recognises the phone and connects only to send files ....
I would need to use the phone as a modem to connect to the internet ... I have the USB cable for the phone ...
I read in one forum a omplicated way of making it work as this phone model is similar to Sony Ericsson P900 ... which is a supported phone for iSync ...after going through some very difficult steps the iSync recognises Motorola A 1000 as Sony Ericsson P900 and works ...
Please advice ....

There is a very simple way to make it work: purchase and install the Nova Media plugin package, which supports your Motorola 1000 and dozens of other mobile handsets.
The package synchronizes only via Bluetooth, and requires that you be running Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later.

What am I doing wrong here. I am using Oracle9i client installed on my pc (Release 2 (9.2.0.1.0) for Windows ) so I downloaded the ojdbc14 drivers for this version and I copied them in my bin directory C:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\bin\ojdbc14 .
Secondly I can connect to the db per command line( sqlplus /nolog; conn data/test@testdb) and querry the testdb.
I can also test the connection using oracle Net Manager and the test is successful.
But I can't start up the lsnrctl on my pc.I get this message any time i issue the command(C:\>lsnrctl
'lsnrctl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.)
What am I doing wrong here? What should I do to have this connection possible. Thanks very much in advance.

Isync cannot connect to this device

Hi I just purchased an I Phone 3gs, I am trying to sync the phone on Mac Book Pro (snow leopard 10.6.8) but cannot. I have been able to assign the device to the computer in so much as when I open network preferences "IPhone USB" shows as "connected" and "Bluetooth PAN" also is shown as connected.
However when I open ISync and try to sync the device, the message is "1 device found" then when I press scan the message is " ISync cannot connect to this device.
Similarly the phone reveals 2 personal hotspot connections, but when I try to connect to my Mac Book Pro it says "connection unsuccessful".
I have tried deleting both the IPhone USB connection and the PAN connection and starting from scratch, and I shutdown the computer and re-booted but no luck there. I also tried connecting without the USB cable via Bluetooth and then with the USB cable but to no avail.
So it appears to be the final stage that is the problem, it is simply not recognising the device. I do not have this problem with other devices, such as external HD or flash drives.

iSync is for 3rd party mobile devices. iPhone uses iTunes.
Open Mac iTunes app. Connect your iPhone with the supplied cable. What do you see in iTunes left panel under DEVICES?

"Isync cannot connect to this device" Yet phone has connected to other Imac

I have a Nokia 6230i and for ages I have been trying to get my Macbook to connect via iSync, I thought the phone was at fault, I had taken them both to a genius bar and was told the phone was at fault but last week I connected the phone to an iMac via iSync and it worked a treat. Unfortunately the imac is not my workhorse and the contacts I need to use are on the macbook.
I have reinstalled iSync by extracting it from the dvd but this also did not work. I keep getting "isync cannot connect to this device" every time
Why cant it be a bit more specific? Why not an error code or something that will let you track down the problem
Has anyone else had the same problem with iSync?

I had the same problem with a 6230i from a friend. After setting date and time on the mobile iSync had no problems anymore.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

PSE 12 - Cannot connect with Adobe

I cannot connect with Adobe through PSE12. The first time the message told me Help did not install and to uninstall and reinstall, which I did today. I still cannot connect; yet, I was able to register the serial numbers for both elements and premiere.
In trying resolve the problem, I got another message that indicates there is no internet connection. I have analyzed the install log and nothing there indicates an error in installation.

I cannot uninstall AAM. Because i can't find it in "Deinstallation Tool" of Win8. It is not listes. There is only Adobe Flash Player listed.

Yes! It is a factory defect and Canon should recall 7D and 60D for this problem in stead to charge $230 for their own quality issue. I have 7D and not using it that often, it shows the same error message. Cleaning can not fix it at all! It was the soldering bad point at the battery and the little circuit board next to it, based on an engineer who repaired it by himself. Canon pro's: If you guys are cate about the Name of Canon then take these cameras back and fix them for free! Otherwise, the customers will switch to Nikon soon.
