Isync & Nokia E52

Question

My nokia E52 used to sync fine but since a couple of weeks Isync seems to hang if it tries to connect. I removed all software as well as nokia's plugin for the E52 and reinstalled it, then paired the phone again with the following result :
congratulations, your mobile phone is now setup....
.Pairing was completed
.use isync to transfer contacts...
.access the internet
.serial port
.use to transfer files
so all seems ok.
I can transfer photo's taken with the phone in iphoto, i can brwose the phones memory with bluetooth but Isync hangs.
What to do?

Even with the cable, Isync hangs at least once or twice a week, needing to reset the device and thus erasing all changes on the phone.
This is just not working the way it's designed.
SOmetimes Isync says the phone should be set-up, sometimes after 10 or 15 error messages, all of a sudden it syncs. Once it gets to the point that it won't sync, it loses the definition of the calaendars and syncs only all the adresses from the adress book. Isync does not see the groups or the calendars available. A reset is inevitable.
What can be done?
